It’s crazy how blind Licht & the Glazers are to the way this team has performed under Bowles, thinking they have somehow ever been legit SB contenders during his tenure as HC. I’m not sure what they’re watching, when every week it seems there is either inconsistent play or massive game plan/play call issues that appear. This team hasn’t been a contender since BA left, and won’t be again until Bowles is gone. But let’s just spin our wheels in mediocrity for the sake of consistency at the HC position.

Gotta wonder how proud Jason is of Bowles’ defensive performances these past 4 years. He must be glowing.

48 years ago I spent a chunk of my youth in Indianapolis completing the US Army Finance School. Me and old Junebug thinking of times gone by while listening to our favorite podcast. Fort Ben Harrison. I’m told it’s closed now. JUMPS. Joint Uniform Military Pay System. Indy was the HQ for paying the troops in all of our branches of the military. Things change for sure. Jason Licht interview was grade A. He’s a good GM and we’re fortunate he’s even keeled enough to know it begins and ends at the line of scrimmage and our injuries derailed us there, pure and simple. I’m thinking, after listening to him, we still have a chance at keeping Rachaad White, too. Sure be one less thing to worry about. We need some new pieces, especially the defense, but we don’t need to blow up the ship. JL has been a solid leader through an awful turbulent year and I suspect that patience and leadership is gonna pay off in spades come season. Great interview and hope you guys enjoy the rest of your in Indianapolis.

FLB:
Completely agree. He’s .500 in the nfc south in his 4 years as HC.
It’s gotta be that he’s carrying the company line. No way he’s that dense.

He never said that they were legit Super Bowl contenders. He did say that considering what they had to overcome as it relates to the salary cap situation and player losses coming off the Super Bowl/ Brady era, that it is remarkable that the team continued to compete and won 3 out f 4 division titles and 3 out of 4 playoff appearances. He is not wrong in saying Bowles deserves a lot of credit for that. After going all in with Brady and his gang, the Bucs are lucky that the situation didn’t devolve into another lost decade. Most so called experts anticipated a total rebuild and a face plant especially in advance of the 2023 season. Rational people with some football knowledge would agree with that assessment.

There should be a lot of hope going forward as they have been in the process of a rebuild while maintaining a semblance of competitiveness. We should consider ourselves fortunate in that regard as Bucs fans. 2025 was the most remarkable season yet when considering the massive number of injuries to try and overcome in the midst of a rebuild. Ownership and Licht are wise to realize that imo. Thank God they are not giving in to the pressure from the fans that would have them blow everything up because that would definitely send us down the road to another lost decade.

We ain’t buying your song and dance Jason!pitiful to hear a GM brag about a .500 coach winning the worst division in football with losing record or barely .500 ball year after year !

Another tongue bath for Licht and Bowles.
There’s a correlation to the failures under Bowles and the lack of accountability.
GM, HC\DC, and the players get contract extensions for big money despite the results.
Not a recipe for success at the NFL level.
