Report: Team Glazer Did Not Order Todd Bowles To Dismiss Coaches
January 9th, 2026It seems yesterday’s upheaval of the Bucs’ coaching staff was not because of any edict or order from Team Glazer.
That’s the word from Jenna Laine of ESPN. Her Bucs source claims Bucs coach Todd Bowles made all the changes to his staff yesterday on his own. There was no mandate from ownership.
Laine did note that the priority for the Bucs this offseason will be one specific level of the defense. And that is linebacker, both inside and outside.
A source close to the situation and familiar with Bowles’ thinking believes outside linebacker and inside linebacker are priorities, as Yaya Diaby led the team with seven sacks while Haason Reddick disappointed as a free agent with just 2.5.
Upgrading the second-level of the defense is a no-brainer. With Lavonte David likely retiring and the Bucs fully swinging and missing on the evaluation of SirVocea Dennis, the Bucs are in terrible need of inside linebackers.
Given how it appears Bowles will remain as the team’s defensive coordinator, Joe sure hopes the Bucs don’t have any ideas about drafting an outside linebacker/edge rusher. It’s like lighting a match to an otherwise valuable draft pick.
In his 13 seasons as a defensive coordinator and/or head coach in the NFL, Bowles is still looking to draft-and-develop his first double-digit edge rusher. Joe doesn’t know why anyone would think he would break his streak this fall, especially when Bowles regularly dismisses the importance of an edge rush.
Veterans only at outside linebacker, please. For the sake of the franchise and Bucs’ AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht’s job.

January 9th, 2026 at 7:12 am
Hassan Reddick wasn’t a veteran outside linebacker?
If they’re just going to allow pitch and catch between any QB and WR combo that walks on the field on the back end, pass rush won’t matter. Myles Garrett couldnt get to the QB in this scheme.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:14 am
I’ve seen this movie before and know the ending. Nothing will change bc it’s the same two driving the bus. Zero accountability by Bowles and Licht. Disgusted with my Bucs and it’s leadership, or lack of. Yesterdays house cleaning was merely pointing fingers at others and finding scapegoats.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:15 am
I cant wait for the media to try to sell fans on a “Superbowl Roster” this off-season. Lol
Well Bowles wasn’t going to fire himself so of course some position coaches had to go. Now, who will he hire to replace them? Who are the coaches that want a one year job?
It doesn’t matter who Bowles hires, if things aren’t working he won’t make any adjustments, he’ll just think about it. Pathetic.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:15 am
… With the exception of the special teams. We were just awful. Too bad the DC wasn’t fired
January 9th, 2026 at 7:17 am
Lame duck coach
January 9th, 2026 at 7:18 am
Joe still believes Todd Bowles takes responsibility?
January 9th, 2026 at 7:19 am
Not to mention the results would definitely strike a match to a powder keg fan base. Tbh, I do not believe any reports coming out of OBP. Jenna’s source is likely just spinning some proactive, locked in, positive Bowles pr to placate fans. Crumbs for the mob
January 9th, 2026 at 7:19 am
The Glazers are going to lose a large part of the fan base by October
We all know how this is going to implode horribly, Todd is a pitiful HC
Shame on them
January 9th, 2026 at 7:29 am
In my humble opinion, this makes the situation worse. The Glazers are cool with his staff as it was? Craziness.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:30 am
Yo Joe. Can we get some pressure on the organization to flush the cheerleading squad during the reorganization? Double digit male (some trans) is a little over the top. We can all live with a handful of them but double digits?? From what I see out and about, the Tampa Bay Area has the female talent 🤗
January 9th, 2026 at 7:32 am
Oh boy, look at Todd snapping into action. Just in time for a long(er) vacation. And he only had to throw all of his subordinates under the bus to keep his job. Meanwhile, Licht is quietly shuddering in the corner awaiting his coach’s next orders “what should do coach? Who do you want? I see some abysmal ST coaches were fired; are any of them your friends? We can get them on the Glazer payroll for at least a yr. How about a has been G? Then we can blame all of Baker’s interceptions on the OL. I know, let’s trade up in the draft and get the best WR possible, that’s always made me look good in the past and maybe everyone will forget about LBs, they’re tough to draft. You know my motto, I am that man, was modeled after LVD who I didn’t draft but I don’t mind riding coat tails, it’s how I won a SB.”
January 9th, 2026 at 7:33 am
There’s no value to having a high end trade or FA come in here to play OLB and spend their time covering backs and WRs. Also, if you want the ILBs to be better, the DL needs to be significantly improved. 94 can’t be counted on to hold up. 50 isn’t a full time contributor and the rest of ‘em are meh, at best. But let’s pretend the talent is magically upgraded—now the front 7 has to synch with the DBs. But no one can play fast b/c they’re trying to comprehend and decipher finite details and assignments that only make sense in Todd’s mind. In other words, we’re hosed, regardless
January 9th, 2026 at 7:34 am
Not so sure Todd is a lame duck coach. If the Glazers didn’t fire him this year they won’t fire him until his contact runs out which is the end of the 27 season. No faith in this ownership group’s desire to win.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:36 am
What quality coach/player going to come here knowing Bowles is fired if he sucks next year.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:36 am
Oh great. So the are even more careless and detached than we thought? Sell the ship.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:37 am
I really wish the Glazers sold the team.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:38 am
Todd is on his way to a nice all-inclusive resort to pad his belly for the next season. Not sure his legs will be able to hold up and carry him around the sidelines, similar to our defense, not holding up.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:39 am
For you old Cheech and Chong fans: “You must sign zee paper old man!”
Bowlzo never holds anyone accountable. He is only still on the job because he is one of the last box checking head coaches left in the NFL. The Falcons fired Morris before the echo of the final gun finished echoing through the stadium. That locked in the BUCS and the Jets into keeping otherwise terrible head coaches. I guarantee that the BUCS will hire a real defensive coordinator or they will stink again next year no matter who takes over the offense. Yeah, the NFL is mostly one of the few meritocracies left in America, but appearances still matter. They don’t want another multi billion dollar lawsuit and bad publicity. Maybe they’ll hire a real hotshot OC to take over the team next year.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:40 am
Baloney, this is just trying to gaslight fans. Simply putting lipstick on a pig. And if the Glazers did not instruct him to make changes they are the worst owners in the league with a really bad GM.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:42 am
Doesn’t matter if Lavonte is retiring or not. I’ll preface this by saying he’s a top 8ish all time buccaneers. He “should” walk in to the hall of fame, but he was 2008 Derrick Brooks bad. A sieve. I’d argue inside linebacker is even more of a need than edge rush. Sacks are inportant but Myles Garrett’s could’ve given the browns 80 sacks and they’d still be terrible. The middle of the defense is your heartbeat. There was a reason why most mock drafters had us drafting Jihaad Campbell. I love Ebuka, but it’s a classic case of outthinking/outsmarting ourselves. I want to be big, nasty, strong, fast and intimidating in the middle. THAT sets the tempo. An Urlacher or Ray lewis type completely changes the identity over night
January 9th, 2026 at 7:43 am
please tell me again what Bowles has done that justifies him keeping his job? I am very disappointed in the Bucs organization to continue on with this coach who is the definition of the word ‘Meh’. He is Garbage like our Pass Defense!
January 9th, 2026 at 7:44 am
They’re tanking!!
January 9th, 2026 at 7:44 am
Here’s a very controversial idea. Maybe Jenna’s “source” was lying.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:47 am
Trey Hendrickson is from Florida and can be signed on a relatively cheap one year deal. I’m sure he would love to play for the Bucs.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:54 am
Poppa Glazer did NOT teach his kids very well on how to be successful
January 9th, 2026 at 7:54 am
The genius idiot savant. Mr Accountability. Blame everyone else but yourself. The decision to hire a full time DC must be made — and even so if His Failureness still lurks at the pizza and burger sections of the Bucs cafeteria, its a top 3 draft pick for the Bucs in 2027.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:55 am
Why go work for a coach who will throw you under the bus or out the door to save his own skin?
January 9th, 2026 at 7:55 am
F’n Losers
January 9th, 2026 at 7:55 am
The scheme is the scheme. We just need to wait one more year.
Vets will come for the paycheck.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:57 am
Did they order him to hire a new defensive coordinator?
January 9th, 2026 at 7:57 am
They should draft an edge rusher, just not with the first couple pics. Got to get an edge rusher in free agency and spend some money on a good one, dammit. We’ve got to resign Goedeke but I don’t care about any of the other guys who’s contracts are ending, honestly.
First three picks all some type of linebacker… Inside, outside, upside, downside…
EE ended up being a great pic but Jihad Campbell would have been very very helpful.
January 9th, 2026 at 7:58 am
Joe again I ask is it just Bowles who can’t develop an edge rusher or the position coach. S Barrett was a decent edge in this defense. Maybe it’s the people he draft. Just asking
January 9th, 2026 at 7:58 am
Don’t expect big names to come to this defense.
We need to wait one more year.
Only Tomlin can turn this 3-4 defense around. 🤞🏼
January 9th, 2026 at 7:59 am
There are so many people to blame, I completely understand the finger-pointing by all fans. Very frustrating to have a defensive head coach, and the defense Sucks! My finger pointing goes straight to the Special teams coach! First, how did he even get hired here? He was terrible! This is on Bowles & Licht for accepting it. He’s gone now and quickly forgotten, but why did he make it past week 3? Again, that’s on Bowles!!
January 9th, 2026 at 8:02 am
Absolutely incredible this guy lead them to the dump left them there and said it’s your fault we are here when he was the one driving lmao
January 9th, 2026 at 8:02 am
As for edge rushers, has anyone left the Bucs and become an all pro? If not that’s draft picks not coaching. I’d like to see who we missed out on so I can be P!ssed off about that.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:03 am
I’m just sitting here watching the wheels go round, and round. You know I love to watch them roll. No longer on the merry go round, I just love to watch them roll. John Lennon
January 9th, 2026 at 8:08 am
Glazers will go hunting for big name coordinators on both sides of the ball. This is their only chance to sell seats if they keep Bowles. A combination of McDaniel & Belichick would accomplish that.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:09 am
Licht and Bowles are on the edge rush hot seat. They are staying and they need to fix the edge rush situation yesterday. Patience is gone. If the 2026 Bucs fail, while boasting a toothless edge rush, then we may well damn be in the market for. GM and HC. No more staying the same course with their ineptitude.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:16 am
I have a different question – is there a standing order to not fire coaches mid-season? McGaughey still being here was disgraceful, and Grizzard was not far behind. My opinion of Bowles might change a little if there was such a standing order.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:19 am
Bowles needs to fire himself/ look in the mirror Todd its on you
January 9th, 2026 at 8:23 am
“Joe sure hopes the Bucs don’t have any ideas about drafting an outside linebacker/edge rusher. It’s like lighting a match to an otherwise valuable draft pick.”
This Joe needs to look at the edge rusher draft class, it’s a pretty diverse class and you might see somebody you like. There’s going to be some overhaul at the position, depends on what our scouts see in whomever they’ve had their eyes on, as it’s a process already in motion.
We can afford to double dip at ILB draft-wise, even with whomever we hold over there whether it be SVD, we need more atheltecism and youth in that room. Not sure about day 1, I like Sonny Styles but there are some other options for us that could fit day 2 and beyond.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:24 am
Oneilbuc
Its so obvious right? This is a tanking team next season. No good HCs want to coach the Bucs so we’re stuck with the career loser for his final opus. Time to get that top 10 pick Todd, dont let us down!
January 9th, 2026 at 8:26 am
Last year the Bucs missed their chance to hire a good coach. This year they missed their chance to stop this team from circling the drain next season.

And yet, noone seems to listen. Because they have a narrative, and this fact won’t fit in.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:34 am
Bucnjim I agree 100% on those 2 subjects, with the ST coach are they drafting good edge rusher. I just mentioned that, on the development of an edge rusher, coaching or poor drafting at the position. True the ST coach should have never been hired and should’ve been ran off at the bye week and no as for edge rusher who left Tampa and became stars at least none I can think of
January 9th, 2026 at 8:39 am
Edge rushers will never rush the passer in His Failureness’s “scheme.” They’ll be dropping deep to fetch hot dogs for fatty. Simeon Rice would have 2 sacks a year(if that) playing for this failure.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:40 am
I am with the Big Guava. Ownership had to order the changes, no way Bowles did this on his own, except for making Grizz a convenient scapegoat, judging by Todd’s egotistical rant last Monday about being owed/earning another year.. Bowles is just like Koetter, Koetter said Smitty was not getting launched, one week later Smitty was gone. Now Todd (and Jason) have no excuses. Win or blow it all up in one year.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:41 am
Literally nothing to look forward to with this team.
The coaching sucks and whoever #lichtmyballs drafts with premium picks will be a role player at best and at worst a total bust who can’t play on any team.
Great job Glazers

January 9th, 2026 at 8:44 am
I care less wht Bowzo or the Glazer do or do not do. They sux and I want them all gone. Disgusted.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:46 am
His evaluations that would take some time sure came in a hurry ! All the BS talk at his most recent press conference ! This team sucks and Bowles is the coach and to blame ! Glazers owe the fans an explanation , but they don’t deal with the peasants !
January 9th, 2026 at 8:49 am
How does fishhawk know one is trans? Hmmmm
January 9th, 2026 at 8:49 am
HC DC….OC…GM Bowzo the Great
January 9th, 2026 at 8:49 am
With the right OC our offense can return to producing 25-30 PPG consistently. Look at who’s still under contract …
o QB: Baker Mayfield (need a veteran backup QB though).
o RB: Bucky Irving (White & Tucker are FAs so need 2 RBs).
o WR: Chris Godwin
o WR: Emeka Egbuka
o WR: Jalen McMillan
o TE: Payne Durham (Otton a FA so need 1-2 TEs)
o LT: Tristan Wirfs
o LG: Ben Bredeson
o C: Graham Barton
o RG: Cody Mauch
o RT: Luke Goedeke
That’s a quality starting group, IF they can stay healthy. Obviously need to improve our OLine backups (I’d personally keep Haggard & Chukwuma but that’s about it), and add a couple of RBs plus 1-2 TEs and probably 1-2 WRs.
On the defensive side of the ball, we’re not so blessed. We’ve got some MAJOR rebuilding to do on that side of the ball. The very first question to answer though is … ‘Rebuild towards WHAT?’ Todd Bowles hybrid 3-4 defensive scheme is deeply flawed, and if we rebuild towards THAT, we’ll end up with the same results we’ve been getting. The personnel who we have can’t effectively operate it as we’ve already seen.
Todd’s already fired 3 key assistants (Rapone, Ross & Strong) and there may be more heads about to roll. Now’s the perfect time for Todd to relinquish the DC reins, bring in a veteran DC, let him pick his own staff, support him with some quality FA signings AND draft picks, then hope for the best. Will he do it? Chances are … no. His ego won’t allow to admit that his scheme has failed; the rest of the NFL has figured out how to defeat it, and without top-quality players to MAKE IT WORK, it’ll achieve the same results in 2026 that it achieved in 2024 & 2025.

January 9th, 2026 at 8:57 am
Disaster. Abomination.
January 9th, 2026 at 8:57 am
Until I hear Licht & the Glazers say Bowles is indeed our head coach next year, I’m not convinced he is. We’ll find out soon enough.
January 9th, 2026 at 9:03 am
First, no legit DE like Hendricks or Crosby will NOT come here. They don’t want to cover WRs and RBs running deep routes or play for a lifeless soon to be retired
Head coach. Most fans knew by end of preseason that LB was a seriously weak position on this team. I have NO confidence Todd can develop a pass rusher or LBs. Hate to say it but seems like this started with Devin White. Seems like Zion
has that same attitude after a couple of years of Todd’s “coaching “. All these guys know when a scheme isn’t working and start getting disinterested in doing the same old failing things over and over. If your boss is incompetent and throws you under the bus publicly what would be your response?
January 9th, 2026 at 9:03 am
Hiring new assistants with Bowles as HC and DC is like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
January 9th, 2026 at 9:03 am
DR
How can the offense put up that amount of points consistently with a consistently, inconsistent QB?
January 9th, 2026 at 9:04 am
Honestly that’s actually really bad news.
Someone needs to hold him accountable.
The Glazers stepping in would actually make me proud, but nope, they still don’t have a clue.
Is there a more hands off ownership group out there?
January 9th, 2026 at 9:11 am
Do we really believe Bowles is the guy to develop a double digit sacker?
He trains his edge rushers to be cornerbacks!
January 9th, 2026 at 9:27 am
Wow so they were content to let the dumpster for continue without changes. He fired coaches what’s left is two coaches who played linebacker in their career. One is being asked to teach pass rush moves in a team that drafted players with no pass rush skills.
January 9th, 2026 at 9:30 am
The only way the Bucs go to the Superbowl with Todd Bowles as coach is if they buy tickets. No joking, just stating a Fact. Convince me I’m wrong?
January 9th, 2026 at 9:36 am
“Now’s the perfect time for Todd to relinquish the DC reins, bring in a veteran DC, let him pick his own staff, support him with some quality FA signings AND draft picks, then hope for the best.“
Nate Ollie for front-7/OLB coach, he’ll get us >50 sacks next season-check his resume. Ollie was on Morris’ staff this past year in ATL and has made an impact at most of his NFL stops. Young coach too, and can help max the potential in that room
January 9th, 2026 at 9:37 am
I think we find an upcoming DC in the event Bowles is fired, we’ll have someone in place to run the defense. Our OC will be our potential next HC, that’s how the Glazers operate. If the offense and Baker excel and Bowles flounders another season of barely getting into the playoffs but doing nothing, he’s done. Bucs won’t risk losing another OC that gets Baker playing well. Much like Fournette needed competition to get him motivated, so does Bowles. We need a guy like Monken or McDaniels that have the credibility to take over and keep pressure on Bowles to perform.
January 9th, 2026 at 9:41 am
Hey joe.. who was the last bucs coach to draft and develop a double digit edge rusher? Lets stop pretending like this just now became a problem. And the bucs have had some damn good defensive coaches come through here. And that includes monte kiffin. You continue to fail to mention edge rusher isnt a bowles and licht problem…. Its a Buccaneer problem period in the history of this team
January 9th, 2026 at 9:48 am
Bowles takes a bad situation and makes it worse!! It wasn’t me! It was all you guys!!! Please let me introduce you to ” Mr Excuse”…Todd Bowles!!
There’s no way in hell team Glazer is keeping this guy!!
January 9th, 2026 at 9:50 am
Our so-called fans have forgotten we were 6-2 and had beaten the best team in the NFL, Seattle, on the road and Houston on the road and the 49ers another playoff team. Then Baker’s injuries mounted and they lost games they should have won to New Orleans, Carolina and Atlanta, all by slim margins and with an inadequate offensive line. At 6-2, expectations were ridiculously high and down the stretch the team’s vibes were very bad. Don’t tell me the loss oh Cody Mauch and Bredeson didn’t matter. A case can surely be made that had the Buccaneers averaged 4 more points per game they would have won 11 games. The 49ers won only 4 games last year when their offense was devastated with injuries and won 11 this year when their star running back was healthy. I understand the disappointment but I think the offense was a huge problem. Bowles is the same guy who masterminded defenses that stopped Green Bay, New Orleans, and KC in our Super Bowl year. The difference was the dominating offense.
January 9th, 2026 at 9:52 am
Bee … Check our 2024 production: 502 points scored. And yes, that was with a healthy Baker Mayfield at the helm and a healthy OLine protecting him.
January 9th, 2026 at 10:06 am
Thats the problem with keeping Todd. We have to rely on a top 5 offense to carry his sorry a$$ defense. Maybe new position coaches can turn it around, but I don’t have any confidence in that. Looks like he is gonna stay as our DC so we’re going to find out I reckon. As a Bucs fan I hope he proves me wrong.
January 9th, 2026 at 10:13 am
Doesn’t matter we will be doing a full rebuild next year. Let’s just hope none of these clowns trade away draft picks for 2027 between now and then so we have all of our picks for the new regime when they take over.
January 9th, 2026 at 10:18 am
Bowles is a clown, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Injuries are a part of football, and fans are the only people who use them as an excuse. Bowles hired and stuck with all of the coaches he finally fired. If he doesn’t hire a DC, we are looking at a 6-win ceiling in the improving NFC South. Bet on it.
January 9th, 2026 at 10:30 am
DR
Sir, you didnt answer my question. How can this offense be consistent with an inconsistent QB? Yes, the Bucs score 502 points and averaged 29.5 PPG. BUT, that same offense only scored 20 points in the WC at home.
How does that equal consistency to you? Baker was healthy in the WC right? Why only 20 points? One thing Baker was consistent with was a 4th quarter turnover in that game. After the defense made a 4th down stop in the redzone.
This is what I’m talking about. To prop Baker up you have to ignore the reasons why the offense falls short in big games and in the playoffs.
I get it, yall want to be glass half full and thats fine but the results are always the same. Bucs lose to elite teams during the regular season and in the playoffs. Healthy or injured, it doesn’t matter.
January 9th, 2026 at 10:35 am
Yall love to talk about starting the season 6-2 as if the season is only 8 games long. Thats like a team bragging theyre up 20 points in the first half but then lose the game by 14. Lol
You have to take the entire season into account. 2-7 after the bye. The GM, coaches and players all failed. And you cant just fire a few coaches, hire a few coaches and keep the same failed leadership in place and expect different results.
Well, I guess you can but I dont think thats a good plan.
January 9th, 2026 at 10:53 am
2026 season mantra isnt be that man or whatever crap. Ladies and Gentleman your 2026 Bucs MANTRA: WE Choose to LOSE! Make our great fans sick! and get a high pick! season.
January 9th, 2026 at 10:55 am
yes i’m circling back to it again…
quick and affordable simple help at inside linebacker was kyzir white…he was a tackling machine in arizona for a couple years…
and was certainly better than dennis…at least as a extra guy or a stabilizer on the inside…
i’m still baffled this move wasn’t made all year…maybe he was a locker room menace of sorts, that insiders knew about…
otherwise licht and bowles were clearly buggin’ to not make a very educated move like this
January 9th, 2026 at 11:03 am
Imagine the atmosphere week one of the 2026 season.
That seat will be absolutely broiling under Bowles rather large a$$.
If we come out of the gate on a losing streak it could get awfully ugly real quick.
Hopefully Baker is not given an extension until he can prove it in 2026.
Perhaps we could tank to get Manning as the next QB.
Because if that happens, Bowles is gone and hopefully Licht as well.

^ you may be right – is it weird that the ownership group or front office haven’t released a statement? Given the 1-8 record to end the season, would think somebody other than Todd would put out a supporting statement…..
January 9th, 2026 at 11:28 am
Didn’t Bowles develop Shaq Barrett into a double digit sacker?????? I mean he did have 19.5 sacks in this scheme….like come on guys. Also before Devin completely forgot how to play football he had like almost 10 sacks I believe in the 2020 season.
Sometimes it’s about the Jimmies and Joes and not the X’s and O’s
January 9th, 2026 at 11:39 am
Coaching is the issue! Have the changed the coaches at those two spots? It was obvious when simeone Rixe was talking to Yaya Diaby in a clip earlier in the season that pass rush moves weren’t been taught in full to these players. Second Todd needs tk update his scheme as Ronde Barber said, you can get Myles Garrewt in and he woukd still drop him into coverage… its all on coaching.
January 9th, 2026 at 11:42 am
Tombsens. Great point and we won a SB off this flawed defense that JOE and everyone else is crying about. I get it. Wide open WRS worst pass defense in the league and has gotten worse each year since the SB win. Defense isn’t as flawed as some are crying about. Several games this year the D shut down good offenses. Listen if we can get a pass rush and ILB help then this defense will go along way. The secondary is young and talented. Winfield if he gets back to all pro him and smith will be the best duo in the league. Parrish and Morrison are on the rise. Offense is stacked with talent. Add some better gunners and blocking on ST and boom literally just like that. IF YOU DONT LIKE THAT OUR BUCS KEPT BOWLES GO CRY TO YOUR MOMMAS AND ROOT FOR A DIFFERENT TEAM. TAMPA DONT NEED NO SNOWFLAKES.
January 9th, 2026 at 11:43 am
If this is the case that the Glazers have no input on this dumpster fire. Please sell the team to someone who cares.

Thank you #1bucsfan…there are logical posters that post here but they are few and far between. I do not care for emotional responses, Bowles is the coach for now and I hope that him and the team are successful. I have lived through a lot of bad Buc football and if next year is a wash then we always have 2027 it is what it is.

Warren Brooks Lynch- We’ll played my fellow Buc fan….lol That was funny! Regardless, you don’t find it curious that Licht or the Glazers haven’t made a statement of some sort to the affirmative that he’s indeed head coach next season? We know they reached out to Harbough’s people. Is it out of the realm of possibility they are still making inquiries or, waiting to? If Bowles starts hiring new coaches then, it would appear he is indeed the coach next year. Let’s see what happens in this regard over the coming days. Something doesn’t seem settled at this time. Love your wit my friend!

“I’ve seen this movie before and know the ending. Nothing will change”
You really haven’t. No team has done this before.

If the Glazers said nothing then they are the worst crap owners in the league.
Do Not buy tix or merch u til.they clean house

If no team has ever fired their coaching staff but kept the head coach, this is something that has never been tried.
Honestly, that makes it worth watching. Predictions that the team will lose fans may not be accurate. If a new staff turns things around and the team has success, fans will return.

We keep getting cute. Does anyone know why we didn’t sign a guy like Pratt when he was cut for nothing & picked up for a hand sandwich.
I love JL but i have noticed he seems more complacent than he has ever been. He used to be way more aggressive with signings, trades, etc. Seems like we are doing NOTHING.

All fair questions. A family with The Glazers’ wealth and the business empire they preside over that they’re probably always searching for talent and people to help make their management of all those resources run as efficiently as possible.
Wouldn’t expect any less, and with the news of what Harbaugh wanted also shows their trust in whom they have on hand even if it means turning down someone they think they’d be interested in/need, is important.
That said, I’m most interested in our OC search, our problems with a reshuffle of the roster that’d be happening anyway, is hiring someone who comes with a better resume than our last 3 OCs. Someone that can give us an identity.

Einstein’s definition of insanity: “Doing the same thing over and over and over again while expecting a different result.”
Bowles has never developed an edge rusher; has not coached an NFL caliber defense as Bucs head coach; and the defenses of this year, and several years past have demonstrated terrible CB play.
Predictions are hard; they are about the future. None of us has that gift to see what the Bucs will do next year. If past history is taken into our thinking, next year will not be an improvement.
Weak head coach, weak staff, GM better get his act together.

Jim, I’m not a fan of his retention, but credit where credit is due. When Shaq had 19 and 1/2 sacks, someone developed him. And our middle linebacker had nine sacks that same year. Also, I assume someone developed him. Or if you’re saying we didn’t develop them, but they were just great players that had big years, then it’s not on the development anyway. Also, you don’t win a super bowl without an NFL caliber defense. Yes, he wasn’t a head coach then but let’s be real.

There is a Desperate Need BUT it’s Literally Pointless to go get that type of talent. Bowles WILL SQUANDER such a weapon. It is KNOWN! The Max Crosby’s of the world ARE A FANTASY as long as the FAILING OWNERSHIP gets this defensive CLOWN GONE! WE DESERVE BETTER GD IT! Too bad some fans will actually pass away and be dead and gone before the Absentee Glazers GET A CLUE!
Personally I’m DONE with THIS “ownership group”… We NEED a New Owner! One that matches OUR PASSION for our team and not a computer. Malcom is gone and his Passion Died With Him… This ownership group Lacks Passion and Competitive Instincts. This is No More than a money making opportunity to them. NOTHING MORE! And it ABSOLUTELY STINKS For ALL of US fans…
They are turning us BACK INTO the Yucs, and they couldn’t care less….
SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME SHAME..

I don’t believe that.

I’m sure the Glazers said “hey, Todd. Why don’t you keep the same coaches?” And he said “no.”
Can you imagine Todd saying he had to make changes to save his own fanny? The assistants were probably like, “the problem was YOU, not me.”

First time Bowles has jumped in and made some major decisions. I’m interested to see how things go.
