Why is it that allegedly, the smartest people in America (college presidents) cannot figure out the easiest, cheapest way to “fix” college football is to have the players unionize. That way rules will be established and it won’t be the wild, wild west and you won’t see quarterbacks trying to “decommit” from signed contracts where the schools have to take the quarterbacks to court. Nothing like building team unity by suing your own starting quarterback. (Given how many people watched the Miami-Indiana game last week, college football doesn’t need a whole lot of fixing.) [NBC]

Joe does not remember Jay Glazer working for CBS. [Awful Announcing]

This video of a melee at a Kentucky middle school — middle school! — basketball game has it all: Coaches in the middle of a hassle, people being bodyslammed, a parent (?) getting tazed near midcourt. To show you how limited entertainment options are in Kentucky, this middle school — middle school! — game was live-streamed. And when a parent (?) gets tazed, one of the announcers not only knows the culprit, he acts like it’s not the first time the dude got into a hassle with the cops. LOL ‘Merica! [Outkick]

Jay Glazer is such an awesome guy! I didn’t know he had been at CBS. This was such a great article! And when he got the job at CBS, he was on the driving range with Tiki when his agent called him. Reading about his emotions at the time, says so much about Jay. Such a good person.

Happy the Seahawks won last night. It will definitely be a game that Payton will never forget. Kay’s stats since 1970 seem right on for what she is saying. However, we beat the Seahawks this season!

So happy Sean “Butthole pucker lips” Payton lost. Overrated. So, so happy.

    Buccaneers grade: Z minus

RE: Officiating…….the failure to conduct a full review of the controversial Brandin Cooks play in Bills-Broncos. Complicating the situation is that no one knows who is making these decisions!
I think Fanduel has a quick system to see how advantageous it would be to give it to Cook. There’s your answer. There are just too many questionable calls that screws teams who should be in the mix!

I just love eating Kay Adams with my morning donut. I mean, I love seeing Kay Adams while I’m eating my morning donut. Freudian slip. Oops.

  6. David Says:

I don’t care about Payton, just absolutely disgusted the patriots 🤮 are back in another Super Bowl. I hope Seattle absolutely stomps them.

If you want to fix college football, allow 2 transfers max.
Wherever you initially go to school, you must stay for two years.
    Coaches, minimum three years.
No coach or player can leave or transfer until the national championship game has ended
Basically none of this portal crap between the regular season and the bowl season, that is insanely ridiculous.

And the money needs to be capped. What happened to amateur college sports? We went from – should we pay the players about 1000 a month? To boosters cutting checks for millions. This is beyond stupid.

Well said ‘David Says’ on changes to college fball. I would add that if a player transfers he should sit out a year. That was a good rule in the past.
