Bucs Interview Brian Callahan For Offensive Coordinator

January 9th, 2026

The Bucs are moving fast.

ESPN super insider Adam Schefter says the Bucs completed a virtual interview with former Titans head coach Brian Callahan for their vacant offensive coordinator position, the one created yesterday when fall-guy playcaller Josh Grizzard was sent packing.

Callahan is the son of Bill Callahan, the former Raiders head coach who lost to Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl 23 years ago.

The younger Callahan, 41, was fired early this season — shortly after he gave up playcalling duties to focus more on the team as a whole. It was his second year leading Tennessee.

Callahan spent five years as playcaller for the Bengals but did not call plays in Cincinnati.

    Titans….ROFL

  2. BigRay Says:

    My god. Please no.

  3. Vegasbuc Says:

    Joke…fire Todd….

  4. JS Says:

“Callahan spent five years as playcaller for the Bengals but did not call plays”

    Does not compute

  5. Ken Says:

5 years as a playcaller for the Bengals but did not call plays in Cincinnati.

    What?

  6. ATLBUC Says:

Choose carefully! He will be the HC after next year

  7. HC Grover Says:

How to end your football carreer….Be Bowzo OC.

  8. miken Says:

If we don’t get McDaniel, it will be back to the NFC south basement. Probably should have kept grizz for continuity… His 3’s and record were the same or better than Canales. Firing everyone but Bowles might bring on another decade of depression as it shows the owners don’t care much and has given time for the rest of the South to load up

  9. HC Grover Says:

    Callahan must be desperate.

  10. TexasBuc 1776 Says:

The Captain runs the ship aground through incompetence and stubborn ego. The owners ask why, and he declares it was the crew’s fault. They buy that and hire other incompetents to right the ship!

  11. Scott Says:

DISGUSTING!!! he ran a putrid, stagnant offense.

  12. Scott Says:

DISGUSTING!!! he ran a putrid, stagnant offense.

  13. gbobucsfan Says:

    Ohhh boy, this is bad….

  14. Scott Says:

Grizzard was not the problem!! He was a first time OC and put up 40+ on the Seahawks!!! Come on man

  15. ModHairKen Says:

How about digging the crust out of the bottom of a cow patty in Plant City? That would be a better OC than Callahan.

    Dump. Stir. Fire.

  16. Bejeezusbelt Says:

Yep shooting for a top five pick in the 2027 draft.

  17. Stetematt Says:

Also part of the Sean McVay coaching tree.

  18. When is enough enough! Says:

Todd should interview Stevie Wonder too. Idiot

  19. HC Grover Says:

Bowzo may find a coach at Bethune Cookman.

  20. Lakeland Says:

    Whatever Todd Bowles do
He will never please these Anti-Bowles idiots

But l think it’s a good start (Interviewing Experienced Assistant Coaches)
We will regroup, we will be better, we will prevail

2026 is the year of the Buc

  21. AlstottNumber1 Says:

First time play caller fails miserably: Answer is to hire another first time paly caller.

Defensive guru fails miserably: Answer is to extend him three more years.

Savant GM can’t draft QB’s or pass rushers: Answer is to retain him another three years.

2026 is already a dumpster fire.

  22. Marky mark Says:

I guess they can’t b talk alex van.pelt because v the Rams are in the playoffs. The year i , got to la,the Rams moved to st. Louis. They came back after i left for st. Pete. Trivia, they started out as the cleveland Rams and won an NFL title. La colosseum was too good to pass up.

  23. KC Buc Says:

Garbage….please call McDaniels, Todd can let the man cook while Todd maintains the locker room. Really wish their was a public commitment to delegating DC responsibilities…

  24. Bucs4Ever Says:

    McDaniels. Period.

  25. It’s Exciting!!!! Says:

    Perfect!!!!!!
Hire him and the nightmare ends this year!!!!!

  26. jcscycles Says:

    Relax kids.

The fact that it was a virtual interview indicates he isn’t a prime candidate. Most likely is was to pick his brain about subjects.

When they fly someone in for dinner and an interview is when you should pay notice.

  27. Darin Says:

Fire the bowles then fire the cannons!

  28. Colonel Angus Says:

Import that mighty Titans offense! I live in Nashville area, not too excited about this one. Keep searching please.

  29. miken Says:

@lakeland… yeah we are anti bowles idiots. Guy has a 500 record in the worst division in the history of sports and his side of the ball is last in the nfl with a damn good roster…. ok

  30. Tye Says:

Lower end oc and still to good to work for IBS!

  31. Mintberry Crunch Says:

Umm… Grover- you are saying being an OC under Bowles is a dead-end job? Tell that to Liam Cohen and Dave Canales……

  32. Kgh4life Says:

Calm down people, it’s an interview. The Bucs must do their due diligence.

  33. ocala Says:

    Fire Bowles! This is madness!

  34. AlstottNumber1 Says:

    @Joes

When is the next Ira podcast getting released?

I would really like to hear your thoughts on all of this.

Regardless if I disagree or not.

  35. Lakeland Says:

I will NEVER root for a Buccaneers Head Coach to fail

And this has been the case for the past 3 years in Tampa
Even going as far as hoping the team miss the playoffs

You’re either a Fake fan or a conniving Idiot
Neither one sit well with me

  36. Bucsfan2023 Says:

    Barf

  37. heyjude Says:

The Bucs can do better. Hope they keep interviewing. McDaniel before he goes to the Lions. Think he and his family would want to stay in FL.

  38. Blows sux Says:

Interviewing a recently fired head coach who was as bad of a coach as Blows is to run the offense? Staggers the imagination

Let’s just hire a defensive coordinator and Blows can run the offense, yeah, that’ll fix things SMFH

  39. Usedtocould Says:

    Barf.

  40. Miller5252 Says:

Who is going to come here with the coach on a burning seat. 1 year to get canned because the coach should have been canned this year? Good luck finding quality

  41. Steven007 Says:

Marky Mark mentioned above, Van pelt is a wild card. Had a good working relationship with Baker, and knows his stuff. When the Rams are eliminated, or win the super bowl, I think they will contact him.

  42. David Says:

    So to recap-
The buck does not stop at the head coaches desk. There is no accountability. Everything possible went wrong- defense, special teams, offense.
So far 5-6 assistants have been fired, but the head coach remains.

    Make that make sense.

  43. Steven007 Says:

I’m sure they’re just doing their due diligence, but before the Titans gig, he has a pretty good resume. OC and play caller for the Bengals during their super bowl run and championship games. Obviously he had burrow to work with, but that team offensively was very good. As for the Titans gig.. he was saddled with the first round QB who never should have been the first overall pick. Not much talent, and the results showed as much.

  44. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Not bad, could be worse. My thing is, new word of us moving on from the OL Coach nor our pass game coordinator and I’m wondering if the prospective OC comes in and interviews well. Will he be forced to retain Carberry & Kefense Hynson and if so, what does that even mean?

  45. Larrd Says:

Getting the OL back in step is job one. Maybe Callahan brings his dad, who is reputedly one of the best.

  46. Steven007 Says:

    * correction, Taylor was the play caller but Callahan designed the offense and game plans.

  47. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

WR Coach is still around for now too. Maybe a shot to keep some continuity with the staff to player connection while helping whomever we get as OC bridge that gap and hit the ground running for the start of the draft season?

  48. Walkthroughs only Says:

He wants to make Mike Evans retire. SMH

  49. HeartyDickerson Says:

I get this is just one interview, but this is the first guy we reached out to?

At this rate, we can confidently say we’ll have the worst coaching staff in the NFL. This is truly bottom-of-the-barrel. From Brady and a SB to the cellar in 5 short years. Thanks Glazers and Licht.

  50. Ricky Says:

Lakeland you can always accept to be mediocre, like it seems you have done.

  51. pancake block Says:

Has Bowles actually seen the Titan offense?

  52. Brian Davis Says:

We need an expert play caller, not a dude who was forced to give up calling plays because the offense sucked so bad. This is not an upgrade from Grizzard. At least Grizzard had zero play calling, Callahan has demonstrated that he is not good at it.

  53. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

Seriously? Fired OC from the terrible Titans – and he is a serious consideration? That alone spells doom.

  54. Curse of Gruden Says:

    A simple “no.”

  55. Logic Says:

Lakeland is Rod Munch, who is really a Saints fan here to stir trouble.

  56. Falconrap Says:

Good grief. Happy yet, Glazers? Fans are just going to get more and more unhappy. It’s a Bucs Life! SMDH.

  57. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

Lakeland – what happened bro? I have always appreciated your comments but seems now you are 100% good with our mediocre coaching staff and team. Calling the rest of us “non-fans” is insulting. I’m a Tampa native since ‘69 and a life long Bucs fans. Many of us simply want better quality and some hope for another SB run. Questioning or doubting decisions is part of being a true fan. Accepting mediocre is no longer in my wheelhouse house.

All do respect bro – but having a voice that challenges leadership is not a bad thing.

  58. Eric Says:

As a fan since 76 I do endorse mediocrity.

  59. Ultra ClodHopper Says:

    No, thank you

  60. Dom Says:

Its like the Glazers are trying to lose. I hate a penny pinching billionaire

  61. Davenport Says:

Jesus, this is the kind of marginal candidates that we can expect? Hard Pass.

  62. It's Corn Says:

Interview all you want, I’m not going to lose hope they still get rid of Bowles until they sign one.

They were interested in Harbaugh. Are you gonna tell me if Mike Nolen becomes available they wouldn’t trade up?

  63. Lakeland Says:

    74Bucs Fan,

There’s a difference in wanting more for a team, and hoping a team fail

How can a person want the best for someone, while wishing failure on them?
They were hoping the Bucs lose out to miss the playoffs
They were hoping the Falcons beat the Saints, so the Bucs miss the playoffs

This has nothing to do with accepting losing, or accepting mediocrity

They even had an open thread here for the Falcons – Saints game
And these Losers had their Pom Pom out, cheering on the Falcons

If you want change, that’s a good thing
I personally wanted the Glazers to Clean House
Get rid of Every assistant coach, the HC, the GM, and some loafing players
    But it didn’t happen

I’m good with them keeping Licht and Bowles
It’s their team, they are the Bosses

It’s their way or the highway, plain and simple
Childish insults and stupid rants won’t change nothing

Im all in with the Glazers, they are excellent owners

  64. Curse of Gruden Says:

Heard they were bringing in Les Steckel for an interview. Trying to bring back some of the Dungy magic.

  65. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The best candidate for offensive coordinator is…Todd Bowles.

His playcalling helop opposing offenses score constantly this year.

  66. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Helped

  67. IE Bucs Says:

    For everyone clamoring for McDaniels:

There’s no way Bowles is going to hire McDaniels. Thier personalities are completely opposite and McDaniels won’t go for being tied to Bowles prefered conservative play calling. McDaniels would outshine Bowles on day 1.

  68. HC Grover Says:

Throw Lakeland in the Bay. What a fool. A total Bowzo Shill.

  69. Bee Says:

    Lmao!

But I was told the best and the brightest wanted to coach Mayfield. But it’s still early. Lol…they have to kick the tires on everyone it seems.

  70. unbelievable Says:

This is the level of meh and barely mediocrity I would expect from this current coaching staff / franchise.

I guess they’re gunning to finish 4th in the worst division in football this year. High expectations!

  71. AlstottNumber1 Says:

    Lakeland = Bud Licht

  72. buccintimeforchanges Says:

    WTF????

  73. Pops Malone Says:

Bowles is a rather large clown….

  74. BelleGladeBuc Says:

    @Lakeland

You don’t have to root for Todd Bowles to fall.

8-9 losing record and missing the playoffs is failure. You understand that.

    Todd Bowles is a failure.

BTW, don’t tell me about injuries.

The Packers and Rams were decimated by injuries and both teams had winning records and made the playoffs in much tougher divisions than the NFC South.

Not supporting a failure such as Todd Bowles is intelligent.

Please tell us that you understand it.

  75. Lakeland Says:

    BellGlade,

He’s not a failure in the eyes of the Glazers.
And those are the most important eyes

  76. jcscycles Says:

Brian is the son of Bill, who was the Raiders coach in SB 37 when the bucs won their first Super Bowl.

He is known as an outstanding Offensive line coach and coached the Titans line for Brian.

Maybe this was the purpose of the interview gauging his Dads interest in coaching again.

  77. Oneilbuc Says:

    Trash 🗑️ next!!

  78. Falconrap Says:

Lakeland just keeps going on rants because, for some reason, he thinks Bowles is great. I think most fans were like me. Rooting for the Bucs to beat the stinkin’ Panthers, and hoping that the Falcons lost, but not really all that upset when they won because we all believed that was it for Todd. I’m still sitting here stunned that Todd is still the HC and keep hoping it becomes more of a Gruden like situation, where they later decided they wanted to move on. They’ve never long suffered mediocrity from a HC, and have dumped every dude that started hot and ended up losing and out of the playoffs, starting with 5-2 Sam Wyche (still remember when Jimmy Johnson came into the team meeting pretending he was their new head coach during the late season slide). There’s 0 reason for keeping this bozo on as head coach. Zero. Yet…here we are.

  79. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Lakeland

    Well said.

There’s a clear line between wanting more from your team and actively rooting for them to fail. Wanting accountability, changes, or higher standards is fair—but cheering losses just to prove a point isn’t the same thing.

You can push for improvement without hoping the Bucs miss the playoffs or celebrating another team’s win against them. At the end of the day, it is the owners’ call. If they choose to stick with Licht and Bowles, that’s their prerogative—ranting, insults, or rooting against your own team won’t change that. Want better? Demand it. But don’t confuse that with rooting for collapse.

  80. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Guys too focused on whom they perceive to be the sole problem, while not really caring about what the team is actively doing to improve. Season hasn’t been over a week, this should be encouraging, but nooooooooooooooo lol

Tough s%#t boys, you’ll all be alright

  81. David Says:

    It’s one interview. Relax

But the people who really need to relax are the ones saying GRIZZ did not deserve to be fired because it was his first year.
    Are you kidding me?!?!?
The man’s offense was horrific. Throw in the flat, wide receiver screen, run… That was about 90% of all the place.
He had a pass for two months because of the injuries, but as everyone returned, the offense grew more stagnant. The playcalling was horrible. You could see it sometimes in Baker. He looked disgusted, sometimes calling the play.
I sure as hell salt with Mike Evans body language as well.
The only thing he ever had Evans do was some version of a go route.

Every coach that has been fired deserved it, we all know Bowles did as well.
Firing all the pieces but keeping the head coach just makes this a wasted year. Every coach needed to go.

  82. jcscycles Says:

And other than McDaniel the best candidates are in the playoffs. You have to wait until the games are played this weekend.

Just chill – Lighten up and be n

  83. jcscycles Says:

And other than McDaniel the best candidates are in the playoffs. You have to wait until the games are played this weekend.

Just chill – Lighten up and be nice to each other.

  84. Ricky Says:

Lakeland, Only in America a team belongs to the owner, everywhere a team belongs to the fans. An owner should be a fan first not bussinesman and that makes the biggest difference for winners and losers like Glazer family. They will never win, they are not fans. If you dont know what it means to be a real fan, google it and you will understand.

  85. Popmike66 Says:

This Callahan interview must be just getting people in the building. I looked up his offensive philosophy and it’s pass heavy, opposite of what Bowles want so I don’t know what the deal is with that interview

  86. jcscycles Says:

    David Says:
    January 9th, 2026 at 5:14 pm
    It’s one interview. Relax

But the people who really need to relax are the ones saying GRIZZ did not deserve to be fired because it was his first year.
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++
You are right David. Grizz was over his head and needs more seasoning before he is ready for another try.

You can find an issue with the fact that he was even considered to begin with.

  87. Lakeland Says:

The Glazers are not Stupid people

I remember when they started their takeover of Manchester United
They begin with a 3% stake in 2002 or 2003
And they was slowly adding more shares
By 2005 they were the majority owners of Man U

The Glazers are some very, very highly intelligent people

They traded 2 first round picks for Keyshawn Johnson in 2000
Then they traded their 1st round pick in 2002-2003 for Gruden
Plus their 2nd round picks in 2002- 2003 for Gruden

The rest of the owners and Bucs fanbase thought the Glazers were stupid
But, back then they didn’t have a rookie cap.
The Glazers were trading top picks, because they didn’t want to pay them
They need capital to keep buying shares in Manchester United
That was their plan, and they wasn’t signing high price free agents

They paid $172 million for the Bucs, back in 1995 l think
They was deeply in debt, after the purchase of the Bucs
They also were deeply in debt after the takeover of Manchester United

They sold something like 27% of Man U to Sir Jim Ratcliffe for$1.6 billion

They are highly intelligent shrew business people

They have their motive for keeping Bowles and Licht
They know what they are doing, they definitely are not Stupid
And they don’t believe in wasting money

  88. Anyhony Says:

@ LUVMYBUC & Lakeland: well said boys, I got your back! The rest of you need to cop a little class.

  89. AlstottNumber1 Says:

Lakeland must be the one still voting very confident in Todd Bowles.

Only the blindly loyal could still want this utter failure as the HC.

Ranked dead last in red zone defense.

That is absolutely abysmal for a so called defensive guru.

I guess the Glazers value money over winning. Bowles is cheap for a reason.

Because he absolutely sucks at his jobs.

  90. Anyhony Says:

Ricky: Did you get kicked in the head by a mule???? The Glaziers will never Win??? TWO SUPER BOWLS isn’t winning??? Some teams have been around decades longer than the Bucs and have none.

  91. BelleGladeBuc Says:

    @Lakeland

Losing more games than you win is failure.

Hugh Culverhouse thought the same thing when Ray Perkins was our coach, as apparently the Glazers think about Todd Bowles.

So I guess the Glazers aspire to be sellers of chicken 💩, but telling us it’s chicken salad just like Culverhouse did.

2025 Buccaneers 8–9 Did not qualify

You are your record. Todd Bowles has a record of failure as a head coach over 8 NFL seasons.

    That’s just a fact @Lakeland

  92. Lakeland Says:

They paid $192 million for the Bucs
Which was a record back then for a NFL franchise
And people thought they were fools

  93. Buc king Says:

    That’s a no for me

  94. Ben Says:

    Boooooooo

  95. buccintimeforchanges Says:

Lakeland – Shrewd business ppl does equal winning. SMDH

You work in the corporate office? They paying you in some way?

The Glazers are the disease and losing is a symptom.

Disappointed in the Joes for not going after ownership more…

  96. Lakeland Says:

    BellGlade,

The Glazers are not paying Bowles the salary of a top HC
College coaches are making more than him
They’re not paying Licht the salary of a top GM

And these players are not making a killing, only a few

The reason why they love Licht so much
He bring in low paid USDA rookie every year
And Licht and Bowles keep all of their draft picks

  97. Lakeland Says:

The Glazers might not be winning lots of games

But they are making lots of moolah

    😭😭🤣🤣

  98. Ugo Says:

Lakeland, I for one am not wanting Bowles to fail but expect him to. This is based on previous observations through the years as he has shown such rigidity and unwillingness to adjust, I just don’t see him getting out of the weeds.

  99. Lakeland Says:

    Low paid UDFA

  100. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Who the F is gonna wanna work for Toad? He’s a dead man walking next year when he goes 5-12. That’s going to affect who wants to be our OC, unless they think the dopes at the top will hire them as HC. No to Callahan.

  101. Brooks Says:

Makes sense for this clown show this will be perfect for a good draft pick in a few years

  102. Nicholas Carlson Says:

    Um no

  103. Lakeland Says:

    Ugo,

Manchester United had $894 million in revenue in 2024
The Bucs had $629 million in revenue in 2024

That’s the only numbers the Glazers care about

  104. Jerry Says:

    This is an upgrade?

  105. Lefty R Says:

If Mike McDaniel does not get hired as a Head Coach somewhere, he should be the OC

    Jonathon Gannon as DC

Raheem Morris as the Secondary Coach

Everyone has a shot at redeeming themselves, including My Main Man Todd Bowles!!

  106. CalBucsFan Says:

Maybe HC Bowles can get fired shortly after giving up DC duties too?

  107. Winny Testaverde Says:

The Boiler/Buddha Boyz aka Licht & Bowles are going to steer the pirate ship straight into the rocks. Too bad the Glazers don’t focus full time on Man U. and sell the team. It reminds me of Vegas where Dutch Boy Davis is more focused on the WNBA Aces vs the Raiders.

  108. Andrew Says:

“Callahan spent five years as playcaller for the Bengals but did not call plays in Cincinnati.”

Uhhh what? Did he or didn’t he call plays?

  109. Will Says:

This is not a good sign, and wasn’t he the coach that supposedly had the worst record this year. Can’t they interview a higher caliber coach.

  110. BelleGladeBuc Says:

    @Lakeland

The Glazers don’t love Todd Bowles.

They contacted Harbaugh after their meeting with Bowles.

Clearly they are not in love with Bowles.

There’s that. You sure do have a crush on Bowles, don’t you @Lakeland.

    Lakeland and Bowles, sitting in a tree, K I S S I N G 🤣🤣🤣

  111. MelvinJunior Says:

@ HC Grover Says: “Callahan must be desperate.”

My exact thought. HE IS THO. Think about it… He was just FARRED at TENNE-Fricken-SEE. LoL

For the “play-caller” who didn’t actually CALL PLAYS-People… Bengals HC Zac Taylor is THE Actual Play-Caller, There!!!!

  112. Daryl Green Says:

Y’all should read what JH demands to coach for Cleveland are.
    Wow!!

  113. buc4evr Says:

Gruden if not McDaniel. The biggest issue is still going to be Bowles stupid defensive scheme . Bucs need a real DC but stubborn Todd won’t give it up.

  114. mg Says:

The glaze overs need a coach. Man this ownership is pathetic.

  115. Freebooter Says:

McDaniel best candidate available. This is ridiculous what’s going on. Can’t believe we are not interviewing defensive coordinators also

  116. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Teams Without Super Bowl Victories
    – 12 NFL teams have never won a Super Bowl

The Bucs are 1 of only 5 teams to win multiple championships in the past 25 years
    – New England Patriots: 6
    – Kansas City Chiefs: 3
    – Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 2
    – Pittsburgh Steelers: 2
    – New York Giants: 2

This is exactly why I believe the Glazers understand that cycling through head coaches every 2–3 years is not a solution — it’s a proven path to organizational failure.

    Decade of Instability (2009–2019)
    – Raheem Morris (2009–2011): 17–31
    – Greg Schiano (2012–2013): 11–21
    – Lovie Smith (2014–2015): 8–24
    – Dirk Koetter (2016–2018): 19–29

    Totals over that span
    – Record: 66–110 (.375)
    – Playoffs: 0 of 11 seasons
    – Division titles: 0

Five head coaches in eleven years.
That wasn’t accountability — that was dysfunction.

  117. Jmarkbuc Says:

Grudens offenses ain’t all that.. and he’s washed.

    Let it go.

  118. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    test

Will be interested to see if any Rams assistants come in for an interview, or if the messy break up with Coen last year will turn them off to working with this organization.
I thought then that it was a terrible look the way they pissed and moaned when he left. We’ll probably never know if that has any ramifications this time around, but it has to be in the back of some of these guys heads if they have a relationship with Coen and talk to him.

  120. stucbuc Says:

    Trash 🗑️

  121. BucsFan81 Says:

Wow this guy was horrible why would they interview him. Probably cause no one wants to work with a dead man walking. This is what happens when you don’t take out the trash Glazers. It starts to rot and know one comes near it…

  122. Lakeland Says:

John Harbaugh couldn’t win a Super Bowl with a twice MVP QB, and a 2,000 yards Rusher

Why you genius think he can win a Super Bowl with the Bucs?
He been riding Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs Super Bowl for 12 years

    I don’t get it

  123. SB~LV 🏈 Says:

    Beggars can’t be choosers

  124. Lakeland Says:

Jon Gruden didn’t win a playoff game after the Super Bowl

He had 3 winning seasons in 7 years with us
He was riding Sapp,Brooks, Lynch, Barber, Rice etc
They won the Super Bowl, Gruden offense was garbage

Only 3-4 offensive players scored more TDS than Derrick Brooks

  125. BelleGladeBuc Says:

    @Lakeland

🏈 John Harbaugh (Baltimore Ravens, 2008–2025)
    Regular season: 180–113
    Playoffs: 12–10
Total: Harbaugh finished with a strong overall coaching record before being let go by the Ravens after 18 seasons. He also won Super Bowl XLVII with Baltimore.
✅ Harbaugh is one of the most successful coaches in Ravens history, with multiple division titles and consistent playoff appearances.
🏈 Todd Bowles (Miami interim, Jets, Buccaneers — 2011, 2015–2025)
    Regular season: 61–74
    Playoffs: 1–3

I wonder who the better coach is? It’s a thinker.

How many Super Bowls has Todd Bowles won as a Head Coach 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  126. Obvious Says:

Another Bucs site, I won’t state the name out of respect for this one, claims that they learned that Grizzard wanted to throw, throw, throw in the first Carolina game but Bowles over ruled the game plan and dictated that we run, run, run. The claim also came with an assumption that they did that to keep the offense on the field and protect the defense.

I mention this because the coaching community is a tight one. They talk. I’d be surprised if any young up and coming play callers who want a HC interview next offseason don’t consider that when Todd requests to interview them.

If I were a coach that was desperate to get back in the game to prove myself, yeah I’d def consider coming here. If I was a coach that was looking for the best path to success for my resume I’d steer far away. Which is a change from last season.

  127. BelleGladeBuc Says:

Hey Lakeland, I know John Gruden won a Super Bowl as the Bucs Head Coach.

That’s one more than Todd Bowles’ never 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  128. Fanofdabucs Says:

    Lakeland wrote:

How can someone want the best for someone while hoping they fail”

Most everyone on this site wants the Bucs to be successful. The quickest and best path is to dump your boy Todd. Did I pull hard for the Bucs to make a run? Of course..but Toad Failed. No playoffs and 15th pick..he even sucks at sucking.

Did I want Perkins fired?? Yep Bennett..yep. Love Smith? Yes sir.

So go on wearing your rose colored glasses and pretend its all rainbows and lollipops.

The majority of the fan base knows the best thing for this team is to bring in a new HC, not add bandaids.

  129. Victor Says:

McDaniels might be the better choice..his play calling and experience might fit in with the players we have..plus his enthusiasm for the game..

  130. Aqualung Says:

A perfect Belows choice. No successful play calling experience and another failure.

Hire Todd Monken and then when the owners are forced to fire Belows after another mid season six game losing streak, Monken takes over the ship.

  131. BelleGladeBuc Says:

    @Fanofdabucs

    What about Williamson 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  132. Vinicius Says:

Soon they will interview Leftwich again lol…this is so sad

  133. Victor Says:

McDaniels might be the better choice..he is young and has the right experience for the players we have..his enthusiasm to win would also be a plus..

  134. BucsLifeIsSad Says:

Zac Robinson is next to be interviewed lmao

  135. Popmike66 Says:

  136. Rob5 Says:

LUVMYBUCS “Teams Without Super Bowl Victories
    – 12 NFL teams have never won a Super Bowl”
Finally someone making sense on here…the BUCS have a better super bowl total than most and all you so called experts know
exactly what they should be doing…if they followed all the
arm chair experts on here we would be f…ed…the true story is this is more complicated than most of you make it ..there are many reasons why this team is loosing..more than anything
the talent is over rated…everyone is to blame.

  137. Obvious Says:

Callahan or Robinson could be successful.

But more than likely the first two interviews are indicative of what we will be getting, guys that have been fired (or regime has been) and are anxious to get back out there to call plays immediately.

That could work, but we shouldn’t have high expectations.

  138. Lakeland Says:

The Jags never even played in a Super Bowl

And these so- call fans are bragging on them

    😭🤣😂😭😭

    Interview Mike McCarthy

  141. Bucscoott Says:

Buccaneers are moving fast? Sure doesn’t feel that way to me! One terrible interview…. wow

  142. ChiBuc Says:

    The Bucs are moving fast.

Bwahaaahaha🤣🤣🤣. Callahan was fired in Oct. 7+ teams are searching for coaches and nobody is sniffing around this guy. Fast would be McDaniel, firing ST coach when Callahan was fired, making a move for a proven HC (Harbaugh). Instead we’re hearing names of guys who were run at their last job (Rogers, Callahan) and remain as stagnant as possible with TB & JL. 1st generation earns it, 2nd enjoys it, 3rd loses it. Glazers sure seem to be enjoying it at the sake of their teams fans around the world

  143. JohnQCitizen Says:

Maybe they’ll be better in 2027. They’ll have to get rid of Bowles after or during ‘26.

  144. Wouldn’t pay a single Buc to see this squad Says:

    • Offensive production under Brian Callahan has consistently underperformed relative to available talent, a red flag for any OC candidate.
    • His offenses have ranked near the bottom of the league in efficiency metrics (yards per play, EPA, explosive plays), not just raw totals.
    • Success has appeared talent-dependent rather than scheme-driven, with sharp drop-offs when elite players are neutralized or unavailable.
    • High sack rates and poor early-down success point to structural issues in protection, sequencing, and play design.
    • There is no sustained track record of a top-tier or even reliably above-average offense, which is the baseline expectation for a strong OC hire.

Bottom line: Callahan’s résumé reflects an offense carried by stars, not constructed by system. That’s a warning sign—not a recommendation—for a lead offensive coordinator role.

  145. Jugheadfla2 Says:

Can we just give up all of our draft picks and just draft the front 4 from the IU defense? Those guys know how to get to the QB, not just near them

  146. Brandon Says:

Not gonna lie…..Shanahan from Indiana as our OC would be pretty spectacular! Would love to see that.

  147. Wilder32 Says:

Should have kust kept Griizzard and gave him a chance to grow next year with a healthy o-line.

    Breaking news…

Lakeland is pregnant with Todd Bowles baby
    ________
    Fake news.
The paternity test will show that said baby’s father is actually Byron Leftwich’s spawn.
His slow and misguided seed is to blame for the extraordinarily long gestation period.

  149. Dan the Bucs Fan Says:

I like we are going after proven OC guys with experience. Instead of always going cheap hitting first time play callers although we got lucky a few times. This team needs proven coaches right now.

  150. Tbbucs3 Says:

Some of yall realize an mere interview doesnt mean he’s getting hired??

  151. DrunkInYbor Says:

Remember everyone please! 2026 slogan We choose to Lose. Make our fans sick and get a high draft pick!! Also Todd doesn’t care he sleeps.fine before games. Belly full content to rule. Same ole same ole its gor him this far. Riding backs of star players nobody gets his defensive system with onion like layers. At the end of the day the check will pay. He will lay back.comfortably and dream the night away lm

  152. Told You Says:

    Hugh Culverhouse is laughing…Team Glazerhouse

  153. MadMax Says:

This Mendoza kid is going to be a beast in the NFL. I wont be doing much draft analysis this time around since i dont give a ratts a$$$, but I could see a splash trade.

Trade our entire draft this year and next years 1st (it will be a high spot) for the #1 and grab him and let him sit behind Baker for a year. He’s probably nfl ready now, but go slow, kids gloves for a season.

  154. Told You Says:

    Hugh Glazerhouse reincarnated

  155. oz len Says:

Hire his dad too! He was an amazing line coach for Cleveland. One of the few things the Haslam/Browns got right. Bill left to go with his son to Tennesee and quit when his son got fired. He might be ready to retire but the chance to chase one more Super Bowl might appeal!

  156. Usfbucs Says:

Thank you for the update Joes. Not much to get excited about it was a virtual interview. Once they start bringing people in for interviews then that might mean a little more interest.

  157. Southern BucLife Says:

With all you Neanderthals bad mouthing Coach Todd & how incompetent he is , GOOD LUCK finding good candidates who reads & hears how hateful & poisonous the fan base is here !!!! Not exactly a POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE for a qualified candidate to want to come here !!!!

  158. Dano Says:

    Yeah… no thanks.

  159. Dano Says:

@Southern Buclife – shut up Glazer apologistt.

  160. #1bucsfan Says:

Grizz the fall guy for how bad the offense was. Come on Joe you’re better than that. It was totally his fault.

  161. MadMax Says:

  162. MelvinJunior Says:

    – Pittsburgh Steelers: 2
    – New York Giants: 2”

You forgot about the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis/LA RAMS. And, if you only ‘squeezed-out’ just 2-more years (to last 27), then the Denver Broncos have WON THREE… ‘98-‘99-2016.

  163. MelvinJunior Says:

Last 28 Super Bowls, you can also add the Packers… ‘97-2011.
