It doesn’t matter how the season ends really. The usual midseason slump, which is the most consistent thing about Todd Bowles coaching is unacceptable. Being the team in the playoffs every year that really doesn’t deserve to be there is no thrill.

Go with the record based on the talent we have, not just ‘getting to the playoffs’. Winning the NFC South means nothing, it just makes us the best of the worst. That’s not what Tampa Bay is about! That’s not the culture that Tom Brady brought here. Fire this loser!!

FACTS
Since 2022 the Bucs are 34-29 in Regular season games under Bowels.
From 2009 to 2019 the Bucs had only 2 winning seasons, 0 playoff births
From 1983-1996 the Bucs had 0 winning seasons, 0 playoff births, several no.1 picks!
You spoiled rotten people. Your complaining about 34-29 and 3+ consecutive division championships… you don’t have a clue what its been like to be a Bucs fan, or you wouldn’t sound like a Gooberville citizen that the Big Dog on WDAE so rightfully coined. I don’t care how weak the division has been, 2023 was a rebuilding year!! playoffs. 2024 and 2025 continue to stock weapons, but not fast enough for you people.

I don’t think Bowles should be held to a different standard then Dungy or Gruden. One built the culture & the other pushed us to the top and both were let go. It was a huge mistake letting Coen go. We all knew it and watched as the whole debacle was mishandled. Year after year, player after player it’s the same story. The same problems plague this team. I see no improvement throughout the season or from year to year. In fact, our players seem to regress. Let’s take Winfield for example, does he seem better this year? Does he seem to have mastered the defensive scheme? Does any defensive player seem to have mastered the scheme? Is our offense better? What has improved?

I’ve been a Bucs fan since the beginning. I suffered through many, many losing seasons. I would NOT fire Bowles or Licht. Especially not after a season where they will never field their starting lineup.
Yes, Bowles has made some questionable decisions, but who the hell doesn’t make questionable decisions? Bowles has actually done remarkably well considering how much he’s had to deal with: the most injuries I have ever seen on a Bucs team, a rookie OC/first time play caller, too bored to make a play Zyon, Hassan who?, SVD (who is admittedly improving), and sadly, an aging LVD who just doesn’t look like the LVD of old.
So yeah, I need to see a couple of losing seasons with a mostly healthy roster, and players who aren’t bored before I send the HC packing.

Love the people who settle for mediocrity over fears of the past repeating itself. There’s no guarantee the Bucs would improve with a regime change but there would at least be hope. This coach has proven he is a subpar head coach, he has over seven years of film to prove it. If he can’t find a way to finish strong, win in Rd 1 and have a respectable game 2 in the playoffs this year, then it’s time to see what’s behind door 2.

I don’t want to Bowels to fail, none of us should. I want to be a dominant defensive power that the organization was built on. I am confident but sadly my confidence is us remaining the status quo. Average team that beats one, two good teams a year and gets stomped by the big dogs in prime time. Till we have a mindset change for the whole defense to become a violent, fast, physical team we will be stuck where we are. Without the horses on the edge and in the middle of the defense we will never know how good our secondary can be. As for the offense, give credit where it’s due. 3 coordinators in 3 years, multiple injuries to HOF players. Bowels has stayed steady and made the right decisions, we do have growing pains in Grizzard but be proud of what we have done on offense.

No confidence. He’s a terrible coach. He’s considered a defensive “ guru “ and our defense haven’t been good, since the Super Bowl year. When we actually had a “ pass rush “ who we actually traded for, and signed in FA. JPP, Shaq, Suh. Our defense doesn’t work without pass rush, and him and Licht refuse to fix it.

Bosch – Courteously, Coen had a Bucs team that was much more healthier. His decision making wasn’t all that, he had the players, especially Bucky and Mike. And the way he left the Bucs left a lot to be desired too.

Dungy: 54-42
Gruden: 57-55
Firing Dungy would have been a mistake IF not for Gruden winning a superbowl the first year. Dungy went on the have an excellent record for the Colts.
Dungy really is not a good comparison. Yes, he won a ring (so did Bowles), but he was barely a winning coach.
Bowles won a ring under Arians here, and he has consistently improved his record, whereas Gruden got worse over time.
We have a lot of fans who were not here for the truly bad years before Dungy, and most of those newer fans are from the troll generation. They constantly look for reasons to complain.
Some of us are grateful, and realize the grass doesn’t get greener when you jump the fence. You usually end up in a drought.

I dont think anyone defending Bowles as an excellent coach or even a great coach, we are just tired of people bandwagon fans (not all) nagging about the front office and we keep saying we have seen it worst or we have seen other teams not have what we have. Enjoy Mike and Lavonte, I quit going to games because of drunken aholes complaining not stop.

Nick, you don’t have a clue…a lot of us who complain about mediocrity have been fans for decades. We expect better coaching and performance from the players. We want players to execute with conviction; not loaf and be bored. The coach bears some of the blame for that.

If you get 1 of 32 jobs in the world based off your knowledge, creativity, and track record. That area of expertise should be the shinning star in your job.
Unfortunately this doesn’t apply to Bowles. His defense is usually the reason the Bucs lose. In the past 4 years only a handful of games his defense was the reason for the win. His scheme of random blitzes and off coverage isn’t working. This isn’t JLs fault. He supplies the talent and the coaches job is to get the absolute most out of that talent. Bowles and staff DO NOT do that.
Its week 13 why is Bowles having to motivate his defensive players at the end of a game they’re winning to get 1 last stop?

Beast, the coach gives a motivational speech that works and you’d prefer he didn’t?! Not sure I get that logic. That certainly could be considered part of coaching. Motivating. Now inquiring as to why the speech needed to be given is a different question. But if said, coach recognize the fact that the moment was ripe for a speech of that kind, and then delivered it, with success, I’m not sure that’s criticism worthy. Plenty of other things to criticize. Giving a motivational speech that worked wouldn’t seem to be one of them.

I mainly don’t have confidence in Bowles defensive scheme…How it’s supposedly so hard for his own players to figure out, and yet seems fairly easy for a good QB and OC to figure out.

Anyone who is satisfied with what Bowles has done here should be ashamed of themselves.
Same for those who fear that change might the situation worse.
If you’re willing to accept anything less than a championship, maybe sports isnt for you. There are plenty of participation activities out there, maybe try jogging.

What injuries are you all talking about on defense?? They’ve have their entire starting lineup sans Kancey who might as well be a ghost. And yet the defense is putrid. It has been. It still is. And it will continue to be. Bowles is a failure.
He gets outcoached virtually every game they play. Where u Bowles groupies after the 3 game losing streak topped off with ANOTHER utterly embarrassing unacceptable performance on national TV (AGAIN) against the Rams?

Well, last game the D rose up and stopped the Cards on downs the last series. That’s the epitome of good defense.
Maybe next year we get a new DC and Todd just sticks to HC, which is a management job. I don’t know how ant team combines DC and HC togethor. An OC-HC makes sense.
Either promote from within- assistant coaches were DC for the first two preseaon and did well. Or hire someone new. Maybe Jesse Minter of the Chargers or Jim Schwartz of the Browns. They can work in the system we run.
But maybe stick with promoting from within – less changes in scheme that way. You won’t see so many Fire Blitzes – dropping linemen to sedn a blitzer – with two good OLB-EDGE like we had with JPP and SHAQ.
But for people calling for “FIRE BOWLES” when we are 7-5 and in 1st place in the Division – that’s just crazy. You don’t-cannot change at this point. Beat the Slimy Saints, Dixie Chicks, and Stinking Panthers next three games and we are Division Champs.

bowles has the organization over a barrel. if they fire him it leaves two holes DC and HC. they need to stop giving bowles that leverage.. i said last year they need to hire a dedicated DC from outside and they still do. until then, nothing will change. todd is void of fresh ideas and the ideas he does have for DC are bad.
