Oblique Injury For Tristan Wirfs
December 3rd, 2025
The Buccaneers’ new passing weapon would not have been able to practice today if the Bucs had scheduled a real practice.
That’s the word on the official Wednesday injury report issued last this afternoon. Wirfs was the only active Buccaneer with “did not participate” designation.
As noted earlier, Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan practiced on a limited basis. Officially, they remain on injured reserve but could be activated at any time.
Chris Godwin (fibula) and Bucky Irving (shoulder) remain on the report and were listed as limited along with Baker Mayfield (left shoulder).
Rookie cornerback Benjamin Morrison (hamstring) and Haason Reddick (ankle) were full-go.

Of course.🤦🏻♂️
He’ll play but still.

Challenge the team to get up 21+ at halftime, really put the pedal down in the first half as if the playoffs depended on it… then get Wirfs out and give Chukwama some reps.
I’m just daydreaming here, obviously that won’t happen but these skill position guys coming back mean nothing if we lose Wirfs. Baker, Wirfs, Goedeke, Brederson, Evans, Bucky, Emeka… that’s about the order of importance for the offense it seems, imo. Brederson over Mike and Bucky debatable probably.

I read somewhere yesterday that one of those ranking outfits had Wirfs as third highest graded left tackle in pass blocking this season. It seems like he has struggled some with all the injuries, but he’s still playing at a pretty decent level. Almost all left tackles give up sacks and hold from time to time. We’ve been spoiled.

This Bowles coached team will never blow any team out, even the bad ones. Bowles likes to keep things close.

That is, by far, the healthiest injury report this season.
