Chris Simms Picks Panthers To Beat Bucs
December 18th, 2025
So Sunday marks the first truly high-stakes Panthers home game in December since the 2018 season.
Tied with the Bucs atop the NFC South, Carolina (7-7) has reached a potentially pivotal moment in its franchise history.
They will host the Bucs on Sunday in what’s basically a do-or-die game for the home team.
If Carolina loses to Tampa Bay (7-7), the Panthers would have to beat the Seahawks (11-3) a week later and have the Bucs lose at Miami (6-8) just to force a meaningful rematch with the Bucs in Tampa in Week 18. Otherwise, the Bucs would clinch the NFC South crown before the season finale.
Ex-Bucs quarterback Chris Simms, the NBC Sports film guru, attended last Thursday’s debacle in Tampa and thinks the Panthers will come out on top Sunday in what he says is the biggest game of “the Dave Canales-Bryce Young regime.”
Like many Bucs faithful, Simms can’t stomach the Bucs defense.
“I go back to the Buccaneers defense is bad at all three levels. I just don’t have a lot of faith in that,” Simms said on Pro Football Talk. “I just think the Panthers will be able to move the ball in every way they want to. And they’ve got something going with this Jalen Coker.”
Coker is the Panthers’ new No. 2 receiver, a 2024 undrafted rookie who has come on strong the past two weeks. Undrafted receiver? Sounds like a guy that will crush the Bucs defense.
However, Joe must note that the Panthers have averaged 16 1/2 points per game through their last eight games. Their offense is poor, though it’s certainly better than the Saints’ offense that slapped 24 on the Bucs defense two Sundays ago.

It sucks but dont blame simms
GO BUCS!!!
December 18th, 2025 at 2:49 pm
If we lose, it’s the last Bucs game I waste my time on this season
December 18th, 2025 at 2:49 pm
A college offense would put up 24 on Bowles “complex” trash defense. Bucs only win gamew when they put up 30 plus on offense.
December 18th, 2025 at 2:54 pm
Rick Stroud after a chat with Licht said he thinks Bowles is staying and they are not surprised they are not doing well and expected this with the roster. So barring a collapse he will be back.
December 18th, 2025 at 2:57 pm
Yeah well Bowles job is on the line – so this is a big game for the Bowles – Baker regime too. Will our D be able to shut down the panthers? Doubtful, so the O is gonna have to put up 30+. Lose this game and start packing Bowles. Either way, you should have a bugout bag packed anyway Todd.
December 18th, 2025 at 2:58 pm
Career scrub, couldn’t win, couldn’t stay upright, and still bitter about that Panthers loss and the ruptured spleen. The Bucs beat him on the field, ended his run as a starter, and now he’s out here picking against them like it’s therapy. If you couldn’t win then, don’t pretend you’ve got clarity now. Some grudges heal, apparently spleens don’t.
December 18th, 2025 at 3:03 pm
So if it’s the roster who’s fault is that? If Bowles somehow return the Owners need to force changes at OC and DC.
December 18th, 2025 at 3:06 pm
Our offense will outscore theirs…Bucs 31-28
December 18th, 2025 at 3:08 pm
Boy, he’s going out on a limb…lol!
Go Bucs!
December 18th, 2025 at 3:10 pm
100% Bowles will be back.
Our failure this year are more on the offense than defense. Most every game we have lost was a result of the offense blowing it when they had the ball annd controlled their own destiny.
Everyone, including the owners and coaching staff, understood our D was not our strong suit. In fact, we have turned into an offensive team since BA. I get a lot of you are use to 90s and 00 Bucs teams. But that’s not our identity. We have a young defense, accept it and move on. 70% of this defense has less than 2 years under their belt as pros. Let that sink in.
Get ready to see Bowles and a new OC next year.
On another note. It came down to week 18 last year – yall expect it not to come down to week 18this year too???!!! Lolololol
December 18th, 2025 at 3:11 pm
Kind of surprised we’re still 3 point favorites as the away team in a divisional matchup after looking the way we have.
The Panthers have been a really weird team and offense this year looking back at their schedule.
They have 5 games with 27+points, and 8 games with 17 or less points (4 of those at 10 or less).
Outside of scoring 22 vs the Cardinals, they’ve been either great or horrible and not much in between. Who knows what we’ll get but with how we play defense we might as well prepare for a shootout.
December 18th, 2025 at 3:13 pm
“70% of this defense has less than 2 years under their belt as pros”
It’s not like our offense is full of vets though outside of Evans / Godwin / Mayfield. The whole O-line is a younger rebuilt line from after the SB years outside of Wirfs. All the other WR’s are recent young guys and so are the RB’s. Only year 2 for Bucky.
And we’ve put in similar resources to the defense as offense the last few years. SHouldn’t be going this much backwards IMO
December 18th, 2025 at 3:16 pm
80% of the nation picks the Panthers to whip the Bucs
December 18th, 2025 at 3:16 pm
To be honest, I will not be surprised at all if Carolina wins. What will surprise me is if Todd Bowles is not fired immediately afterwards.
December 18th, 2025 at 3:19 pm
Jmac is better than their Jalen!
December 18th, 2025 at 3:26 pm
The biggest head scratcher of the week is the Bucs being favored by 3. Short-term investment engaged. Safest investment strategy of the week = Panthers +3
December 18th, 2025 at 3:29 pm
A big yawn to Simms. Hope the Bucs are keeping receipts for when they win! Go Bucs!
December 18th, 2025 at 3:30 pm
Probably will tease that up to Panthers +6 and possibly the Rams +4.5
December 18th, 2025 at 3:32 pm
Will I be at all surprised if the Panthers win? NO!
Will I be at all surprised if the Bucs win? VERY!
Do I believe Bowels will be FIRED? NO! [though he deserves to be]
Owners are to gutless… No Cojones in that bunch… Buddy system lives strong!!!
December 18th, 2025 at 3:36 pm
Well, thank God our offense is consistently good and can be counted on to put sustained drives together and finish with 7’s, right ? Oh wait 🤔
December 18th, 2025 at 3:37 pm
Bucs about to beat the fur off those panthers!
December 18th, 2025 at 3:38 pm
And someone saying he for sure is returning If he gets fired and doesn’t ? You will be changing names yet again.
December 18th, 2025 at 3:40 pm
I am as anxious for this season to be over as I usually am for the season to begin….different kind of anxiousness… this is more anxiety than unbounded excitement
December 18th, 2025 at 3:42 pm
Mike Florio picked Bucs to win.
Simms picked Jags to Beat Denver. At Mile High, no less.
That is doubtful.
December 18th, 2025 at 3:47 pm
Tye Says: Do I believe Bowels will be FIRED? NO! [though he deserves to be]
Owners are to gutless… No Cojones in that bunch… Buddy system lives strong!!!
The Glazers are not afraid to fire Bowels. The question is are they smart enough to. If they were smart enough they would have done it long ago.
December 18th, 2025 at 3:50 pm
As a life long Bucs fan I would pick the Panthers too. I cant for the life of me figure out how TB is favored? Have the sharks not seen this team play since the bye?
December 18th, 2025 at 3:50 pm
Why would anyone pick the Bucs?
Since the bye week they have shown NOTHING to inspire any confidence in any fan with a working brain
December 18th, 2025 at 3:56 pm
RJS will empty next year or filled with opponents fans if they bring this clown show next yr
December 18th, 2025 at 4:01 pm
buccintimeforchanges – Yep. You are spot on.
December 18th, 2025 at 4:04 pm
And they lost to the worst team in football just like we did, the Saints. Panthers ain’t no world class team like everyone thinks. They’ve been lucky, just like we were early in the season. Who ever plays better football that day, will most likely win.
December 18th, 2025 at 4:11 pm
Can the remaining Glazers can harken back to 2002?
They fired Dungy, who in my mind was a far better head coach than Bowles. Dungy helped put together a great defense but had an offense that was woefully inept.
Back then, the Glazers had the fortitude to fire the popular Dungy and give away draft picks to acquire Gruden. The result was a revamped offense and a Super Bowl victory. Point is, they wanted to win!
Meanwhile, Bowles, a “defensive guru,” has managed to turn his “specialty” into a league wide laughing stock. Mindfully aware of fan dissatisfactions, relieving Todd from his duties should be a far easier option.
Yes, daddy Malcom was pulling the strings back then, so the decision was most likely his and his alone. And with that in mind, if Joel and Bryan won’t fire Todd for us, perhaps they’ll show a remembrance for their father and do it for him.
This is the season of giving, so how about giving us and your dearly departed dad a new coach?
December 18th, 2025 at 4:11 pm
Panthers are on the upswing and finally getting some momentum and enthusiasm.
Completely opposite of the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS who are
Slip sliding away into their offseason vacation plans
Just keeping it real folks!

What was kirks average against everyone but the bucs again? Yeah averages mean nothing to this defense that makes everyone look like and elite playmaker.
December 18th, 2025 at 4:18 pm
Ronde Barber
The next GM !
December 18th, 2025 at 4:31 pm
If Bowles comes back I won’t. He’s driven me to the point I’m rooting for the Bucs to lose the division.
December 18th, 2025 at 4:32 pm
Feeling depressed and anxious. My doctor says my old BTSD has returned… and diagnosed with BDS – Bucs Derangement Syndrome. No cure at this time.
December 18th, 2025 at 4:33 pm
I will be shocked if the Bucs win. Shocked.
December 18th, 2025 at 4:38 pm
If it comes down to a usual Bowles close game there will only be one way it ends. Defense lets the Panthers run down the field untouched for the win.
December 18th, 2025 at 4:40 pm
There was a rumor going around when Chris Simms played here he use to go down on his teammates at the hotel before the game
December 18th, 2025 at 4:41 pm
Most everybody is back on offense, there’s no reason we can’t start putting up 35 and 40
December 18th, 2025 at 4:42 pm
In all 7 games that the Panthers have won, they’ve run the ball MORE than they’ve passed it. In 5 of those 7 wins they’ve won the Turnover Battle (opportunistic), and the TOP in 6 of those 7 wins. They’re not all that great at running the ball (4.4 YPC average), but they stick with it, probably because their passing game has been less than ideal.
So the Bucs need to first & foremost stop their Run Game. And that pretty much means stop Rico Dowdle, their primary RB (208 rushes for 978 yds … 4.7 YPC average … and 6 TDs rushing). If I were Todd Bowles, I’d go heavy upfront (a lot of Vea, Gaines & Roberts), with 2 OLBs containing the run & rushing the passer.
Not very high on SVD, but I’d love to see what Walker might bring to the MLB position. Supposedly he’s very good at playing the run. I’d also like to see us play 1 of our Safeties more forward towards the LB positions to provide better coverage in the short center of the field. I think Tykee and/or Antoine could have a ball patrolling that area. Also want to see Izien get a lot more snaps.
Offensively the Bucs need to focus on running the ball and mixing in quick, short passes. Panthers have the #16 Run Defense, and if Bucky, Rachaad, Tuck AND Baker can’t run on that, not gonna have much promise in the playoffs (assuming we make the playoffs).
December 18th, 2025 at 4:53 pm
Same here. Young throws for 350 and Chubba runs for 125.
December 18th, 2025 at 5:00 pm
Hmmm not sure I’d make a bet on Bryce getting big yardage this game, not with Tet semi injured.
And chubba??? lol
I’d say Dowdle has a better chance of making an impact than Chubba.
Cant wait to see how this team address their run game next year if Dowdle moves on. Watch them sign White if we let him walk, which would be a mistake
December 18th, 2025 at 5:00 pm
Scarred of the Panthers Chris??? I mean they did pretty much end your career
December 18th, 2025 at 5:07 pm
25th in total defense. Nuff said.
December 18th, 2025 at 5:09 pm
30th in pass defence, but ya, it’s the offenses fault😆
December 18th, 2025 at 5:19 pm
Oh yeah, we will be fine if baker throws for a 1,000 yards we will win. Else anything less means a dog fight.
December 18th, 2025 at 5:33 pm
Hard for me to believe an ownership group in the NFL in the modern age would hold on to Bowles after all the straight garbage this guy has put on the field. Honestly after 50 seasons of following this team maybe it is time for me to hang it up. There is no way I’m going through another season of Todd Bowles. Maybe the Glazers think that they pulled the trigger too quickly on previous coach firings so to make up for it they are going to ride this Bowles garbage another year. They’ll be riding without me. Which doesn’t faze them at all. I’m sure. But after the many seasons as a season ticket holder, a fan from 1976 and tens of thousands of dollars I’ve spent on this team I couldn’t look myself in the face if I stayed around another Todd Bowles season. Emotionally disengaging.
The Glazers are on the clock.
December 18th, 2025 at 5:43 pm
@Beeej: the OL is down both guards, essential pieces to the O…not to mention the C is playing way below expectations.
Combine that with sketchy OC management, and you get a meh O at best.
December 18th, 2025 at 5:44 pm
Bucs by 13 ,,, we score 37,,, we get Flacco hot and win it all
December 18th, 2025 at 5:54 pm
Bowles plays scared; his defensive scheme is outdated, doesn’t value edge rushers, blames the players, and waits till the meltdown in the Falcons game to show emotion. Glazers grow a pair and fire him regardless of the outcome of the last three games, or the stands will be empty next year.
December 18th, 2025 at 5:57 pm
Go get judon
December 18th, 2025 at 6:02 pm
Wouldn’t be surprised if we lost and wouldn’t be surprised if we blew them out. These are two flawed and weird teams. I think if we can turn it into a shootout, Panthers won’t be able to keep up. I also expect a lot of personal fouls if Panthers fall behind.
December 18th, 2025 at 6:14 pm
Doesn’t matter.
Next week doesn’t matter.
Win week 18 and split with the Panthers, Bucs have
all the tiebreakers.
December 18th, 2025 at 6:25 pm
I have no idea if we have a chance to win or not. We better score and score often. We can not trust our defense including the DC. SMH
December 18th, 2025 at 6:48 pm
i feel blessed to be able to listen to the thoughts of simms and king and gmc.
December 18th, 2025 at 7:10 pm
Simms is just giving them a little bulletin board material is all, while trying to fire them up and piss them off! There is no-way, that HE truly ‘thinks’ the PANTHERS will win this game. I just cannot see-it. The ONLY way, is if Baker looses it again. Good teams and “great” franchise QB’s do not BLOW GAMES in the 4th-Quarter. They might not necessarily go out and “win-it” for you every single time, but they sure as hell DON’T continue to lose-it. So, Bottom-line being… If Baker is great… THEY WIN. If he is not… THEY LOSE. It’s really that simple. Especially, if it comes down to being another ‘one-possession’ game in the 4th-Quarter again!!!! Your QB has to make plays and continue picking up first-downs. Cannot leave any points out there, and turn the ball over. You just CAN’T. The Division Title, AND The Playoffs are on the line.
December 18th, 2025 at 7:18 pm
They beat the Rams who whipped our butts so to think it’s an automatic loss against the Seahawks is foolhardy. Miami rookie qb will probably light us up so it’s a good chance that last game in Tampa will be our do or die game. The only way we have a chance of the offense can win games for us is of Dave Canales #2 can come up with better plays and blocking
December 18th, 2025 at 7:19 pm
Well, now I know the Bucs will win.
December 18th, 2025 at 7:26 pm
Baker throws 1000 yards to Mike in 1 game, lol.
December 18th, 2025 at 7:32 pm
We need to score 40+ with Todd’s defense in place
December 18th, 2025 at 7:48 pm
Will you Bowles turkeys stop jibbering!?
Last year, it was the D is too injured to properly judge Todd.
Now, after improving by a win each of the last 3 years… the roster is somehow worse and this kind of record (going backwards) was expected!? His D is hardly injured!
I’ve heard everything now.
Pretty sure that 2 score leads in the 4th that get blown are on the D. In the past when the offense went run-run-screen to nowhere and punted, no one was blaming the Offense then. People like me were mad about the offense going conservative cause I haven’t trusted the D for years. Live by the sword die by the sword. Turnover, bad pass, punt… all pretty much the same when the D is a sieve!
December 18th, 2025 at 8:11 pm
What does Vegas know that Chris Simms doesn’t? Draft Kings has the Bucs up by 3.
December 18th, 2025 at 8:39 pm
Can’t beat the Saints at home. How could the Bucs be expected to beat NC on the road?
December 18th, 2025 at 8:59 pm
Enough about the defense. The team was built to win on offense. Score points and it doesn’t matter what the defense does. Time for Baker to show up and win a game after losing the last two games. Again, if he catches fire, the Bucs can outscore anyone. If he keeps playing like he’s played the last 2 months they might not win again. It’s all down to him. If he wants to be MVP, if he wants $50M a year, then step up and win these games.
December 18th, 2025 at 9:10 pm
i hate to say it but simms has been correctly picking the bucs games all season, you could gamble on his picks he’s been pretty accurate
December 18th, 2025 at 9:12 pm
Wow. He really went out on a limb with that prediction!
December 18th, 2025 at 9:18 pm
Really? The path to success is that Baker must outscore whatever the D coughs up? I know you have witnessed this D in action with the game on the line. They make it way to easy for the other team.
Over the last 5 years, 10 of 15 of the Round 1-3 picks have been on the D, so let’s stop absolving the coach for the bad player/scheme fit. He liked the players enough to pick them, so use them effectively. This is a Defensive Coach’s team that happened to have a creative offense last year.
I agree that Baker must consistently perform like a top 10 QB to earn a quality raise, but there is zero reason for empathy for this pathetially executed defensive scheme. And yes, as a man once said, “I am in favor of its execution.”
December 18th, 2025 at 9:36 pm
If there is a locker room problem its name is Tood Bolwes. A real coach would cut a cancer. Not His Geniusness.
This is an ex-parrot.
December 18th, 2025 at 9:37 pm
It’s just hard for me to imagine a Carolina team that hasn’t had anything meaningful to play for in years screwing up more than Bucs. I just feel like the defense is going to get carved up, defenders miss tackles, special teams miscues. As soon as I believe in the offense the line caves, WR’s drop passes, Baker’s inaccurate, or a batted pass. They hit a 30 yard play, then on the same drive punt or settle for a field goal because of a dumb penalty. Get in a situation and Grizz calls a head scratcher. They all acknowledge the problems for months but fail to correct anything.
December 18th, 2025 at 9:47 pm
I have a simple solution that will work all the way through the Super Bowl. Score a TD on every drive. We have the weapons to do it. Protect Baker and someone should be open on every single play. Our WR’s are insane top to bottom. Nobody has enough quality corners to cover them all. So protect and carve teams up.
Do it.
December 18th, 2025 at 9:51 pm
Chris Simms picked against us? Good. I hope every talking head says we are going to lose. That’s when we do well. When the media collectively sings our praises, that’s when we suck.
December 18th, 2025 at 9:52 pm
Bucs 34, Panthers less
December 18th, 2025 at 9:54 pm
Baker has easily outplayed his contract up until these last few games. Mayfield ROI has been incredible for the Bucs. Beyond debate. When Baker plays poorly the team loses. Which tells you everything one would need to know about this team’s defense and the team as a whole. One man cannot be expected to carry the load every single week, ad infinitum. This season Bowles and his defense has been laid bare without a quality OC for Bowles to hide behind.
December 18th, 2025 at 10:17 pm
Well said Durango 95.
Baker has not been good and he needs to be better but everyone is acting like these INTs and missed throws are pick 6s.
Like the one Darnold basically just threw in a big game. He actually has a decent D and he didn’t even give them a chance to bail him out with a stop. Baker gives our D chances and they consistently blow them.
December 18th, 2025 at 10:20 pm
Baker has to play for The Tood.
That would make Dan Marino play like Dan Orlovsky.
December 18th, 2025 at 10:44 pm
Look at Darnold. Losing this game all by himself. He’s been picked off by the Rams 5 times this season. Defense has nothing to do with it. After all they really don’t have to do anything .
December 18th, 2025 at 10:52 pm
All these Baker bootlickers pretend like throwing for 122 yards and an INT is good enough – that the defense needs to hold teams under 20 points, in 2025, for the Bucs to have chance.
Enough of that crap.
You Baker Boi(s) talk about him as the greatest ever, he’s better than Brady, he’s better than Mahomes – well the other side of that is what you need to actually win when it matters, and that’s late in the season when 1st place is on the line and in the playoffs, and Baker has failed at both of those.
Enough already, win the damn games, stop with the excuses. If Baker can’t even outscore Bryce Young with Evans, Godwin, McMillan, Bucky and White, then why in the world is he even here.
Just win the game. Period.
December 18th, 2025 at 10:54 pm
They don’t have a good offense, but unfortunately, that does not seem to matter. The Buccaneers defense seems to play just bad enough and they let any quarterback throw all over the place.
I’m trying to be positive, but I seriously think the Panthers win the division now. Losing to the Saints and Falcons like they did in back to back weeks… How could you possibly think they’re suddenly going to step up against a better team?
I hope they do. I hope the offense is suddenly healthier enough to get rolling and some of the schemes and execution on defense suddenly improve, but I’m not holding my breath.
As far as I can tell, they still don’t have an NFL caliber backup guard.
December 18th, 2025 at 10:56 pm
Of course, Simms says this. Another guy that sucked in the NFL, always rooting against the team he played for. Does this surprise anyone that this dork said this? He always hates on the Bucs, especially since his time in Tampa was so forgettable. You won’t see this dork in the Raise The Flags documentary, because he made no impact during his time in Tampa. Another example of the nepotism that plagues sports. He always was a turd. By the way, anyone watch this documentary on Prime? Three episodes in and it’s great. GO BUCS!!!
December 18th, 2025 at 10:57 pm
Munch
I agree with you a lot but not on Baker. They don’t have 4 of their first 5 wins without Baker. Last year was a historic season with the numbers and accuracy that he put up. This year he’s been playing injured ever since Detroit, so his accuracy has lacked, unfortunately.
Still it’s a better option than Teddy Bridgewater.
The main issue on offense has been the revolving door on the offensive line all year. No continuity. And the backup guards might not start for some of the college football playoff teams.
December 18th, 2025 at 11:03 pm
Everybody dogging Darnold. He may just win this game. That backwards pass might be the best worst play of his rollercoaster career.

I agree with you a lot but not on Baker. They don’t have 4 of their first 5 wins without Baker.
———–
And we don’t lose these last two games without a complete meltdown by Baker in the 4th quarter.
This is crunch time. Baker doesn’t get to have all the credit and none of the blame. All season we heard about how he won those games by himself, and now that he’s single handedly losing games, it’s about the defense, it’s Otton runs a route short (which he didn’t), it’s Bakers hurt, etc etc etc.
Enough with the excuses. He’s supposed to be a franchise QB, so he needs to perform like it. If anyone thinks his play these last two weeks, with 1st place on the line, is in any way acceptable, that’s nonsense. And you know who else says that? Baker Mayfield. If we had a middling QB like Mike Glennon the last two weeks, the Bucs win both of those games.
Baker has to play better than he’s played not only these last 2 games, but these last 2 months.
And again, I’ve said all season, I thought once he got guys back he’d catch fire. So this is it, we got 3 weeks left, everything on the line, so lets see it happen.
December 18th, 2025 at 11:24 pm
All you Bowles pole washers crack me up. It’s not on the defense? 3rd and 28 and 4th and 14?
Kirk Cousins looking like the 2nd coming of Dan Marino? A non existent pass rush?
A CB who gets “bored”.
If they lose Bowles has to go.
.
December 18th, 2025 at 11:30 pm
Did bro just try to say we would’ve won those 2 games with Mike “giraffe neck” Glennon. Hilarious! We would’ve never been in the game to begin with with Glennon. Munch, you just don’t like Baker. Just admit it. I know Baker has made mistakes, but the defense has let teams march up the field in record time every drive the last few weeks. The defense is clearly the biggest problem on this team right now.
December 18th, 2025 at 11:39 pm
So far Stafford can’t stop Darnold. Darnold can’t stop Stafford. Whichever team loses it’s on the QB.
Munch has hated Baker since he got here. No matter how many times he lies saying he has nothing against him.

Yeah – i about choked when I saw that one.
I don’t know how anyone can say the defense isn’t responsible. That’s ridiculous. Is Baker playing great? No. But the defense has been garbage pretty much all year.
December 18th, 2025 at 11:46 pm
Which team does Jeff pick?
If Jeff picks the Panthers then I know the Bucs will win.
December 18th, 2025 at 11:55 pm
Jeff picks the Bucs to lose every game.
December 18th, 2025 at 11:56 pm
Klint Kubiak should be #1 on the short list when Bowles is canned.
Chris Shula? Ugh. That was some Bowles level bad defense.
December 19th, 2025 at 12:00 am
Mike Glennon is throwing for more than 122 yards vs the Saints, and isn’t throwing a ball on 4th down at Otton’s feet.
Mike Glennon isn’t throwing that awful 4th quarter INT and missing a wide open e2.
I never liked Mike Glennon, but I saw him play enough to know he makes those plays, because 99% of NFL QBs make those plays. That’s the issue. Baker has been that bad the last two weeks. If you think otherwise, you’re literally an idiot.
Who else says that? Baker Mayfield, who has literally said blame him for the loses. Why? Because he’s been awful. He agrees with that assessment.
It’s OK to call him out – it doesn’t mean you’re rooting for failure, it means you’re demanding better. And, again, I think he will come through. But to pretend as if he doesn’t need to be massively better, that he hasn’t lost these last two games, it’s nonsense and a sycophantic mindset.

Did bro just try to say we would’ve won those 2 games with Mike “giraffe neck” Glennon.

BTW, I was the one that was pushing the giraffe nickname on him from day one, I never liked him as a starter, saying that Glennon would have made those plays is an insult to Baker, saying they’re easy plays anyone could and should make. That was the point.

Well I guess by our local experts standards Stafford sucks. He couldn’t stop Darnold from marching down the field to win. On top that he gave up a 30-14 lead. After all, it’s his job to put up enough points to win. Defense has nothing to do with it.

Can we get Klint Kubiak a Buccaneers head coach interview please?
December 19th, 2025 at 12:18 am
And a Defensive Coordinator that can scheme for Kirk Cousins?

Bowles & his staff full of his buddies can’t hold a candle to either of the Rams’ or Seahawks’ staffs. God I do love watching competent football. How would it be
December 19th, 2025 at 12:30 am
i see us winning 2 of the next 3…or 3 of the next 3…probably not 3 of 3 tho…
so it depends what carolina does vs seattle…
i say no matter what, we either split with carolina or sweep them…we aren’t losing both to carolina…
so it will matter what we do vs miami, with also what they do vs seattle…
i think we’ve kinda got this, if we can get our sh!t together at the last minute…
then get ready for a rematch at home vs the rams – in a big time shoot out

Well, Sam The Man Darnold seems to always get-it done. What’s his record now over the past two-seasons, while playing in the THE ‘Toughest’ Divisions now, for two-years running… What is it like 26-6!? Btw, Cohen just extended Jakobi Myers for 3-more years, after just trading for him right before the deadline. He must be looking like a real good fit! They might really have something there in JAX next year, if they can keep Travis Hunter healthy, and fresh. And, if BTJ and Lawrence in year-2, can ever get on the same page. Also, Shaheed made that HUGE PLAY tonight, on that big punt return TD… ANOTHER ‘deadline’ move.

It’s crazy that Stafford almost throws for 500-hunnid YARDS, with no Davante Adams. And, that ‘no-look’ TD pass – Just. SICK.
December 19th, 2025 at 12:40 am
if we get in the playoffs…and seattle wins 1 of their final 2…
i think that means we could see the rams at ray jay…possibly…
but boy ohh boy would i like to have chicago come see us, and gb win that division

Cannot blame the defense. NONE of these games have been ‘high-scoring’ SHOOTOUTS, or anything even close. They were all REAL UGLY. Just BAD games against BAD TEAMS. And, this also includes a 3pt win against a horrible 3-11, tanking Arizona team. So, Bake Bake is on quite the little streak here! I see it all coming to an end though, this Sunday! And, By God… It fricking BETTER, is all I gotta say. Baker has got to to snap out of it. PERIOD. Hopefully, watching all of these other QB’s playing well, and leading their teams to victory, will really motivate HIM. Honestly, he should be embarrassed. PLAYOFFS are on the line. NO EXCUSES.

With as much people think I’m bashing Baker, I’m actually pretty confident in him – and if the Bucs do win this game, I do think they’ll actually win all 3.
He did show a little something in the 3rd quarter of the Falcons game, and Evans was dominating – and Grizz called his best game of the year, if Baker wasn’t so off target most of the game he’d have had a huge night. So with another 10 days, more practices, etc – if Baker is just a bit more on-target, they could explode on offense.

If Baker had put up 30 points, the Bucs would have won that game.

yeah rod –
i’m not gonna get all homer-ish and declare 3 of 3 wins…
i’ll say we eek out at least 2 tho…
i don’t think we get iced in miami by quin ewers for whatever reason either…even tho we generally are manhandled by young qb’s…lol…
2 of 3 should get this thing done nicely…
and if we somehow jump back on track, 3 out of 3 isn’t out of the question…
i wouldn’t mind seeing the rams come in here for the playoff game either…
live by the sword, die by the sword…
lose to the rams again – so be it……
but redeem yourselves with a huge win and we could be going full throttle into the 2nd round…
who knows

i didn’t see seattle being this competitive this year…i had them at like 9-8…i’m a bit surprised i didn’t see this one coming…
a lot of people and media have been big upping this team since day one…
i always figure at some point prince darnold has to turn back into a frog…and i still do
