Bucs Documentary Lands On Amazon In 10 Parts
December 3rd, 2025So Team Glazer set out to pay a mountain of money to tell the 50-year history of the Buccaneers in true Hollywood form.
The results are in.
The finished prodcut is a 10-part series that will debut exlusively on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, Dec. 11. That’s the same day the Bucs and Falcons will play on Amazon Prime at 8 pm., a Thursday game in Tampa.
A Buccaneers news release said the docuseries was commissioned and produced by Buccaneers co-owner Ed Glazer and directed by eight-time Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Trent Cooper.
So does this mean Joe can blame Ed Glazer for exluding Joe from being interviewed for reflections on the past 17 years of Bucs football? No, Joe is not in the documentary, but Sage of Tampa Bay Sports and JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman is.
“Raise The Flags” is a celebration of the people, the perseverance, and the passion that built this franchise over the past 50 seasons,” said Glazer.
“We wanted to create an honest and comprehensive look at our journey β from the earliest challenges to the unforgettable championship moments β and to honor everyone who has shaped the Buccaneers franchise into what it is today. This series celebrates that rich history in a way that has never been done before.”
Joe can’t wait to binge the series. It’ll be so much fun to see what’s included and just as much fun to see what’s excluded.
Joe also expects to have a sitdown soon with Cooper, the filmmaker and regular Ira Kaufman Podcast listener, to discuss the project.

I hope one of the ten chapter is entitled, “The Lost Decade.”

Not so sure about memory lane. There were some pretty appalling Bucs teams in its early years. I recall John McKay being asked about the Bucs play execution in one of those game and he responded π I’M IN FAVOR OF THEIR EXECUTION.

They’re not really covering all 50 are they?
There are about 12 coverage worthy seasons. The rest should be banned from any public exposure unless they are trying to solidify the Bucs reputation as the losingest franchise in all of sport.

@Joe, it would have been nice to see you in the documentary but it seems that we might have to wait for the next documentary to be released for their 75 year anniversary. π

I just heard about this on the Locked on Bucs podcast. I must’ve missed that it’s going to be on Prime. As a newer fan (tail end of Brady’s second season), I look forward to watching this. Can’t wait!

Cool.

Hope it comes out well and isn’t a puff piece, as I find those boring. Even as a kid when someone would buy me the official Buccaneers magazine, I’d groan knowing it was just propaganda. I literally have no idea who bought that stuff and who thought it was any good. Anywho, hopefully this isn’t that – and isn’t a bunch of fake TV drama either.
