Trey Hendrickson Available For Trade

November 3rd, 2025

Available for trade.

Excuse Joe while he dreams out loud.

Would Joe love a double-digit guy off the edge for the Bucs right about now? Well, the answer to that question is the same answer Joe would offer if Rachel Watson came knocking on his front door.

It seems, per FOX insider Jay Glazer, that miserly, stubborn Bengals shot-caller Mike Brown has relented. All-World edge rusher Trey Hendrickson has been angling to get out of Cincinnati it seems longer than Pete Rose had been begging to get into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Hendrickson apparently has worn Brown down. Glazer said yesterday that Hendrickson is available to be traded — for the right price, of course.

And therein lies the problem. Joe knows Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht is partial to his draft picks. So prying one out of him is a battle to begin with.

And Licht isn’t exactly bending over to acquire a (soon-to-be) 31-year old edge rusher, even though Hendrickson has 39 sacks since the start of the 2023 season.

And yes, Hendrickson, who played football and graduated from Warren Sapp High School in Apopka, would want to be paid wherever he goes. And that ain’t gonna be cheap.

Is Hendrickson worth it football-wise? Eff, yes! But when you look at the big picture, Joe would be shocked if Licht broke down and acquired Hendrickson.

But hey, Joe is allowed to dream, isn’t he Rachel?

Not sure why this is even worth posting.

  2. Doctor Buc Says:

Fortunately our defense is not the glaring issue right now

  3. Statguy Says:

Just like you wouldn’t stop clamoring for Hassan reddick only to be back to doing the same thing the same season you got your wish lol

  4. dbbuc711 Says:

Statguy: exactly what I was thinking

  5. capnhowdy Says:

@Joe, Jason Litch literally laughs out loud at such a notion. Then he’ll remind everyone that his studly draft pick aka Chris Braswell, is just lying in wait to “shock the world.” Key word here is “lying.” To himself and anyone who will listen.

  6. kgh4life Says:

Eagles are gonna trade a 3rd and 5th for this guy, while Licht is gonna sit on his as*.

  7. Sly Pirate Says:

I wouldn’t do many trades because the team has so many needs.
But I would do this for a 3rd or later.
Trey has a few years left.

  8. Boise Bucs Fan Says:

Next years draft pics won’t win this years Super Bowl

  9. Bucman Says:

Unless he magically turns into a new middle linebacker he wouldn’t be worth it.

  10. MadMax Says:

Too much required unfortunately….besides if we can land LB help a lot cheaper, lets go that route….and Nelson os showing out.

  11. BucVoyager Says:

With David and Evans retiring, it would be irresponsible to make that trade. We have a lot of important pieces to replace and with all the injuries we have, one player is not going to get us over the top this year.

  12. sethery Says:

I’m glad homie got his bag, but he is tied for sacks with Diaby this year. he might already be on the decline… it would be a high price and a multi year commitment. worth it? for maybe 2-3 more sacks than we’d already get this year… idk.

  13. sethery Says:

save the draft pick and maybe find a stud in the draft next year. hendrickson and crosby were both 4th round draft picks. those picks are valuable… Licht will eventually land a lights out edge rusher in the draft. who knows. maybe it’s walker.

  14. Buckybucs Says:

Not worth a bidding war when they draft well. He doesn’t play guard either

  15. FrontFour Says:

No more 31 year old guys for big $$$.

  16. I Remember 21 Says:

I agree with much of what has been said, ie: we have bigger needs, he may be declining, bowles won’t use him correctly anyhow, etc. But kgh4life makes a GREAT point. Every time a guy becomes available, people wildly overestimate what it is gonna take to trade for him. Not EVERY guy is gonna take 3 first rounders. Then you see what it actually took to get him, and you’re like “oh, that’s all? I’d have made that deal.” And of course none of us know, but it sure feels like Licht often doesn’t even make the calls to see what it would take. If so, that is an area that needs improvement. There are many guys over the years I would’ve like to have seen come to the Bucs that could’ve been had for Braswell type picks. And yes the eagles make a LOT of those type of trades.

  17. Ugotrobbed Says:

Offer a third! NY let JPP go for that, and offering a higher pick than that wouldn’t be worth it, not for a 30 year old guy who has had a somewhat injury prone career.

  18. BuccinBaker6, Says:

I can’t believe I’m saying this but if it’s a one year rental for the right price go for it but I wouldn’t want to resign him to a multi year deal at his age an cost not how Jason put this team together unlike keeping our home grown talent together guys who have put in the time an effort on this team already

  19. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

No need for another pass coverage guy. We got plenty of them.

  20. heyjude Says:

Not at this time. Defense is going well.

  21. BUC WATCHER Says:

JASON Jason Litch is going to watch the Bucs suffer another playoff loss, and back to the drawing board for next year to prepare for another playoff loss as always!

  22. JohnQCitizen Says:

A third round pick and Dean might do it. Get the trade done before Dean is injured again.

  23. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Who cares? Seriously, he just got hurt in the Jets-Bengals game, left and never came back. Hendrickson is just a name at this point in the season.

  24. Ben Says:

Great player but will likely cost a ton with little tread left. Other rushers that come cheaper and are younger.

  25. richbucsfan Says:

When will one of you Joes just admit there will be no movement on trades by Licht. He has hope…hope that Evans defies medical reality and comes back; likewise for Godwin; likewise for Bucky; likewise for Big 67; and on and on it goes. I wasn’t aware some named hope plays all those positions at the same time. Hmmm, interesting. Bottom line, prepare for a very bumpy next 3 games. The right side of the line will prove again the are a turnstile, a sieve. Hey, put hope in for them. Hope surely will be All Pro. So, NO, the Bucs don’t need to do anything by late Tuesday. Hope’s got it. We’re good

  26. Kenton Smith Says:

    richbucsfan, Hope springs eternal.

  27. Kayla Says:

Dream on. NO trades will be made here. They’ll ride with the players they have and keep their draft picks. They know the injuries are too much to overcome for a deep SB this season. All in for 2026.

  28. 813BUCBOI Says:

HENDRICKSON wouldve been great at the beginning of the year but not now…

we have bigger issues such as the Oline!!!!

    hold fast!!!

    6-2!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  29. Pmike Says:

Nice. This guy gonna help us score more points on offense?

  30. Bojim Says:

I think Reddick was worth it too?

  31. SB~LV Says:

Sadly with the injuries to the starting roster the franchise is not in a position to make a move like that.
I say No to a move like that especially for a 31 year old player
