  1. Oxycondomns Says:

totally confident he is a solid coach with shortcomings that i’m not sure can overcome teams like the lions, eagles, and rams.

  2. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

How can you have confidence on this guy?

  3. TruthBTold Says:

    Very confident
    Why wouldn’t you be
TB has lead this team through the mess from the Brady all in years without a rebuild. He has kept this team competitive expanding the offensive strengths while mitigating the defensive weaknesses. Confident that with the next 2 offseason player acquisitions he will have the pieces to have a strong defense again. When TB has the studs at all levels of the defense watch out

  4. heyjude Says:

    Confident.

  5. Oxycondomns Says:

the question should be confident in what?

  6. Jeff Says:

When answering this question think can Todd Bowles win a SB. Do you trust Bowles to out coach Andy Reid, for example, to win a SB? I don’t. No way.

  7. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Why was the Brady years a mess? He didnt do crap, JL was able to “rebuild” this team not him. He has burned player after player in defense.

  8. ModHairKen Says:

Some dudes just cannot enjoy winning. They live in the past or in the fantasy of their own frail, frightened minds.

For those crying about 6-2, take off your bras and panties and wear men’s clothes.

  9. Geno711 Says:

I find it kind of curious when folks say things like do you trust Bowles to outcoach Andy Reid in a Super Bowl.

We already saw it happen. The reason we won that Super Bowl is the defense clearly was way better than Andy Reid’s offense for that game.

Now out of 10 games, because the Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes combo is so outstanding, I’d give it to Reid over Bowles most of the time.

But think of it in other ways: Dungy, Switzer, Ditka, and Billick also won Super Bowls. None of them were known as elite strategists but got their team to the prize.

  10. orlbucfan Says:

Very confident. Improvement in the secondary, and team camaraderie are 2 reasons why.

  11. Stpetematt Says:

Todd Bowles already outcoached Andy Reid to win a Super Bowl. He wasn’t head coach, but our defense was a HUGE REASON we beat KC.

    Ridiculous statement.

Bowles already outcoached Andy Reid in a Super Bowl!

As DC, his defense held the Chiefs to ZERO TDs!

Is Jeff your identical twin? (asking for a friend)

We’ve ALREADY overcome all of those teams. *facepalm*

We haven’t played the Rams since November of 2022, but we beat them 16-13.
    Head coach was Todd Bowles.

  14. DBS Says:

6-2 . Every single week Jeff predicts this team will lose the game. Why? Because Bowles is the Head Coach. His predictions are worse than the Bowles record. So why would anyone believe anything he says?

  15. BA’s Red Pen Says:

    • Totally Confident the Bucs will make no trades.

LOL, you’re probably right about this. But he did acquire DT Steve McLendon a couple weeks before the trade deadline in 2020 after Vea suffered an ankle injury.

  17. Aqualung Says:

    Since1996 – fair point!

He literally already did that when he held the same Andy Reid and same chiefs to zero touchdowns in a game. So he’s shown and proven he can do it he just has to rebuild the defensive roster. That’s squad had the grave diggers secondary, a red hot Devin White with a younger Lavonte David and Vita Vea with two legitimate pass rushers. Most defenses have issues if they don’t have true pass rushers. When you don’t have true pass rushers and nothing in your secondary like last year well yeah things are gonna look bad. This has been a competitive rebuild and that’s what you want.

  19. Obvious One Says:

There seems be serious confusion about WHO built this team. I’ll make it simple.

IT WAS NOT TODD BOWLES. That’s in fact Ridiculous to pretend any differently. It’s childish. It’s WELL KNOWN that this team runs through Jason Licht. As soon as he or the Glazers are done with Bowles, he’ll get his pink slip.

In the meantime, this has been Bowles Best Year without a doubt as a head coach. As well as a DC. His defense (Especially in the secondary “finally” because for almost the entire time he’s been the head coach it’s been a total Disaster) is keeping us a float.

Like I said in the beginning of the season, “this IS looking like a Dungy situation” and it’s playing out perfectly for that to happen. However, I don’t blame Bolwes for the physical collapse of the offense. We are a Shell of ourselves in just a couple of months. It’s STAGGERING to have to watch and live through when we All had a sense that we were FINALLY strong enough to take it.

The crime to All fans is if Licht doesn’t attempt to get us replacements within the next two fleeting days…… I WON’T BE IMPRESSED WITH LICHT IS THE FEELING!

And next year We Will be worse off than this year because we ARE GOING TO LOSE multiple Key Weapons and in a Very Real Sense, we Will Be in a rebuild and will have less of a shot next year. WE JUST DON’T HAVE THE HORSES ANYMORE AND IT’LL TAKE MULTIPLE SEASONS TO BE COMPETITIVE AGAIN! NO MIKE EVENS, NO CHRIS GODWIN, NO LAVONTE DAVID, AND MORE! We’re NOT going to find ALL That Talent quickly. NOT POSSIBLE. SO…. It’s kinda now or never.

And in the distance I can here a tune growing closer and closer… Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me……

  20. Davenport Says:

100% confident that he’ll win a bad division again and that the problems of the last four years will continue.

    Bowles is Bowles
Just enough to be the upper end of mediocre but not good enough to beat the real contenders.

Sadly, the majority of Bucs fans are OK with that.

Bowles was good enough to beat Andy Reid, a Hall-of-Fame coach, and Patrick Mahomes, one of the best QBs of our generation, holding them to 3 field goals and 0 touchdowns in the SuperBowl they played it. Remember that?

More importantly, he’s good enough now to help a team that lost half of its offensive starters to a 6 – 2 record while playing a first-place schedule.

  22. Oxycondomns Says:

chiefs offensive line in super bowl was a sieve full of injuries. earlier in that season chiefs got out to a big lead fast on bucs. bowles doesnt have suh, jpp or shaq to run his defense like he wants which is an ideal world. reid can run his offense with other teams cast offs. plus arians was head coach he doesnt allow his offensive coordinators to run it up the middle 5 times an a row.

  23. BucsFanSince1996 Says:

@Oxy, you’re making excuses for Andy Reid. The Bucs offense is a sieve full of injuries as well, but they are 6-2 with Bowles as the head coach.

  24. Oxycondomns Says:

sorry these bowles sympathizers irk me remind me of the trask ones. hes a solid coach but has his deficiencies. i dont hear anymore the great pick he made with griz im waiting for people to blame licht for griz.

I’m not saying Bowles is the next coming of Vince Lombardi. But he IS a solid coach, and he’s fixed some of his deficiencies he had in the past, like the time clock management.

As far as Grizz, the new OC, I won’t make a judgement on him until the end of the season. He’ll make mistakes as a first-time playcaller. But as long as he doesn’t keep making the same mistakes, he’ll be good. He clearly has a high football IQ and excelled last season in the role he played on 3rd downs.
