“Seemed Like Everything Was An Issue”
November 19th, 2025Todd Bowles’ film review of his Sunday kickoff coverage unit is in.
The head coach appeared to see exactly what fans saw.
“Seemed like everything was an issue,” Bowles said on his official team radio show.
“We just gotta be better there. We got 11 guys over there coming down the field. We have to make plays. That’s the bottom line. You have to make plays, especially when that’s what you were on the team to do.”
Joe is concerned.
September special teams issues were very much about alignments and assignments. What dreadfully went wrong Sunday seems more about talent and hunger.
Can that be fixed in a week?
Joe wonders if Bowles will pull a defensive starter or two into fourth downs.

Still doesn’t explain why he didn’t kick it out of the end zone. Coaching fail.

It took home that long to say what we all saw on game and in games prior?? Thats a scary thought in itself. He needs to hold some players and coaches accountable. These are athletes that are paid alot of money. I get drafting good character guys butvas a result we have lost an edge that some other players like a suh bring to a team. But hey at least we got them draft picks to draft another bust of a edge right !

I wonder during the week, is this the extent of Todd’s coaching? Does he just tell his players “You’ve got to play it better! You’ve got to make plays!”
Because that’s all he’s been telling the fans and media for 7 years. I’ve never heard a person use so many words and say so little. The guy seems like an awful communicator. Just word salad with zero depth.

This is just a suggestion… no I’ve never been an NFL coach or player, but hear me out… How about NOT using your giant slow DE to cover a RB who runs a 4.4 one-on-one out of the backfield…. Also, don’t ask the DE to rush the passer then drop into one-on-one coverage…
Also, 2nd suggestion… Don’t have your best pass rusher 40 yards down the field in coverage on 3rd and long…
I know, I know, I’m just a guy playing Madden so my opinion doesn’t mean anything… However, I’m telling you, I might be on to something and it’s worth considering those points.

Maybe they should make it more complicated or bad or I mean exotic.

if bowles has to put starters on the field for special teams, then those non starters need to be released/cut yesterday!!!!
sadly, players are still on their owe bye week…no focus, no sense of urgency….giving players 7days off was the wrong move…
beat the Rams and we’ll all be talking about is the W…
GO BUCS!!!!
