San Francisco Does The Bucs A Solid

November 25th, 2025

Helped Bucs out.

The 49ers put the hammer down on the Stinking Panthers last night.

Why is that important? Because with a win, the Stinking Panthers would have taken over first place in the NFC South, pushing the Bucs into second place.

The way that the Bucs have played since the bye, specifically the defense, this team is trending down. Teams with bad defenses generally crumble late in the season and Joe fears that is what is happening now.

If the Bucs are going to make the playoffs, they are going to have to win the division. And the Bucs need all the help they can muster the way they’ve been playing after the bye.

With Baker Mayfield now hurt and his immediate status uncertain, the Bucs very easily collapse.

What once looked like a sure thing (playoffs) is anything but a lock now.

panthers schedule = tough road ahead

Bucs were lucky that Bryce Young had a horrible night. Brock Purdy was not much better with 3 picks but the Niners controlled the clock. Canales went for 2 after the Panthers scored their only TD, he must have been channeling Bowles on that one. Rams 10 point favorites at Carolina next week.

Purdy tried his best to give it to them but fortunately they didn’t want it.

A Panthers loss and news that Baker’s shoulder is (just) a low-grade sprain–I’ll take it. Redeems at least a little bit what was a bad showing Sunday night. Could’ve been a lot worse. I just hope this year’s mid-year slump is over soon, like now.

    It’s just prolonging the inevitable

At least we have the week 6 ESPN Power Poll title and week 6 MVP, that’s got to count for something to the playoff team selection committee.

You guys are all wrong about the Rams game. The Bucs had nearly double the rushing yards of the Rams and easily won the time of possession. Outside of the score, it was basically a perfect game.
