Sacks Are Coming From Everywhere

November 4th, 2025

Three sacks past two games.

The Bucs defense has really stepped up the past couple of games. Joe could argue this all started back when the Bucs played the 49ers.

The Bucs beat the 49ers in The Licht House 30-19. That day the Bucs had six (!) sacks. In fact, in the past three games, wins over the 49ers and slimy Saints and a loss at the Lions, the Bucs have totaled 15 sacks.

Anthony Nelson is has three sacks in those games, tied for the Bucs’ lead over the past few games, one against Detroit and two against the slimy Saints. YaYa Diaby also has three.

Those 15 sacks came from 11 different players. Yesterday, speaking from One Buc Palace, Bucs outside linebacker YaYa Diaby said that’s a good thing.

“It helps a lot,” YaYa said about the diversity of Bucs defenders putting quarterbacks on their tails. “Just for the opponent, not knowing where the sacks are coming from, that helps.

“We’re not being one-dimensional. And that’s what Coach [Todd] Bowles is does a really good job at. Bringing guys [from different spots]. Sometimes he’ll let us rush, but then sometimes he’ll bring some blitzes, just to give different looks.”

In other words, Bowles keeps offenses guessing.

Joe is curious to see if Nelson can continue his hot start. Usually, physical teams take Nelson out. Joe is confident that’s why Nelson is often a backup. But Joe believes in playing a hot hand. And no Bucs defender is hotter now attacking the quarterback..

Dallas reportedly made a big trade announcement. Supposed to be coming soon.
I wonder if the bucks are going to do anything to improve

  2. #99 the big fella Says:

Yeah, it was announced that it’s Logan Wilson from the Bengals. We could’ve definitely used him.

  3. Weebs10 Says:

9th in the league in total sacks. I’ll take it! Broncos are in a class of their own. 40 already is nuts!

  4. Weebs10 Says:

For context, we’re only 3 sacks away from being tied for 2nd

  5. 813bucboi Says:

sacks and turnovers are really good for the team right now. baker making good decisions and the defense getting it done has the ratio near the top of the league. i hope they keep it steady at this level, is really positive.

Logan Wilson trade to Dallas for 7th round. Would have been nice here.

  16. Daryl Green Says:

813 I want you to be so right. I don’t give a filth farn filth about a cardi
or a diggs. What I did see was Brian Flores linebackers given
Jared Goff fits, because the rb’s had to stay in and Block, as a appose to missing tackles and tacking bad angles and getting out leveraged.I hope I’m wrong.

  17. DailyRich Says:

Logan Wilson got demoted to special teams in Cincy, what would he have done here?

Doesn’t fit in our system, and he’s not that good

  21. Stpetematt Says:

If he couldn’t start on the Bengals- who were just allergic to tackling the Bears- why in the heck would we want him???

  22. DailyRich Says:

Seeing reports we’ve talked to the Jets about Quinnen Williams.

  23. 813bucboi Says:

A great GM is not just drafting but also trading and capitalizing during the season. This season is a small window. Crazy to see all teams in the nfc upgrading and Bucs are standing still. disappointing JL.

  25. DailyRich Says:

    *Smartly* trading and capitalizing.

  26. Evo Says:

Seahawks got better. But let’s just sit here and count on injuries to heal up.

  27. DailyRich Says:

And Williams is gone, traded for a 1st to Dallas.
