Rondé Barber Says Edge Rusher Usage Doesn’t Make Sense

November 20th, 2025

You know how Joe likes to bark and moan about how Todd Bowles drops his edge rushers into pass coverage?

Buckle up and listen to Bucs legend Rondé Barber go deep on the subject, one that seems to have him searching for hair on his head to pull out.

Speaking on The Rondé Barber Show this week, Barber said a key fix to the Bucs’ struggling defense involves letting the edge guys, you know, attack the quarterback consistently because they don’t have the physical tools to cover.

“You have to simplify these pressure looks,” Barber said. “We have really good players on defense. So selectively blitzing is more effective than always trying to confuse offenses and blitz, especially on critical downs. Like, how many times do I gotta see an edge player — an edge player, guys wearing number zero — Yaya — or No. 98, Anthony Nelson — running in the flat with a running back or wide receiver because that’s the responsibility? … They’re rushers.

“That makes sense to me for this defense when Hassan Reddick is on the field. Now Hassan Reddick hasn’t been on the field in four weeks, I think. He’s got this ankle injury that I just can’t get an answer on — don’t know why he’s not playing. But he’s the guy that can handle those situations; these other guys cannot. They’re just not that type of athlete.

“And I know it’s one of the biggest tenets of Todd Bowles’ defense is to be variable and that everybody have pressures and whatnot, whatever. But you have to be more, I don’t know, normal? Simple? Don’t call the plays that are gonna put players in positions-to-get-beat-type defenses.

“Simulated looks, right? We always can find a way to rush four players. But at some point you gotta let your edge players be edge players. You gotta let your linebackers cover. Your safeties cover. Your corners cover. I know we use a lot of man pressures in times, but I’d like to see more of that. Play man; then pressure. Right? So my advice, my big remedy, is to keep it simple. Kiss ’em.”

Joe will leave it there.

  1. Tucker Says:

Joe and many fans have made this same point several times and keep saying it because of what we see week in and week out exotic maybe that means outdated or simply just a bad scheme.

  2. OneAndThree Says:

Bowles in just incapable of making these changes to his scheme.

That’s just what we are stuck with for the foreseeable future.

Might as well embrace the insanity. Sunday is going to send a lot of us over the top.

Unless Baker is set free to go downfield to run up the score, we have zero chance of winning this game.

And trust me, the so called weaker teams on the schedule will be licking their chops to take a bite of Swiss cheese.

  3. Whatevs Says:

Ther is something going on behind the scenes. If the Bucs lose to the Rams expect more leaks and fractures. This organization is starting to come apart.

9-8 and missing the playoffs seem ever more likely by the day

  4. Ron Potter Says:

Thank you, Ronde Barber! It’s nice to have him say this. If Bowles doesn’t simplify his scheme for this next Rams game, we don’t have a chance. Odds are already stacked against us. We don’t need Bowles to make it worse with his “exotic” looks that well-coached teams (like McVey’s) and vet QBs (like Stafford or Kirk Cousins) can shred upon! Let these young edge rushers have a chance! THEN, ON TOP OF THAT, can Bowles develop a “killer mentality” in time for this Sunday??!!

  5. Jim Hennessey Says:

The fact that ownership and the front office are not mandating defensive changes is astounding. Maybe it’s time for a fresh look both at head coach and GM. Both seem really satisfied with themselves right now. Let’s be real, the only reason both are still here is because the sh@t division they play in. Put them in the AFC West and both would be run last year.

  6. I Remember 21 Says:

Licht and bowles both suffer from this. Trying to be too cute by half. Trying to swim upstream and do things differently from everyone else in the league. KISS it. Keep it simple. If we need a C, draft the best C on the board with our pick. If we need a pass rush, rush with our edge rushers.

On a side note, I LOVE Lee’s passion for the Bucs. He is the voice, the id of the fans. Respect and love Steve & Ira as well, but Lee is the heart of JBF imo.

  7. Leopold Stotch Says:

Finally! Someone else other than a handful of us commenters and Joe of course speaking up! I swear this shenanigans got worse once JPP and Shaq left/got old/hurt. I will be willing to blame Licht if and only if Bowles actually adjusts his scheme where we don’t have Vea drop into coverage, where the pass rushers rush the passer, then some of the blame can go to him. The talent is there, but it’s not consistent when guys aren’t doing what they were drafted to do

  8. Bucs4Ever Says:

Bowles is a dinosaur…extinct. Proof? His record says LOSER.

Jason Licht’s record? Even with Brady he is a loser.

    CLEAN THE HOUSE!

  9. HopetheBucswin Says:

More passing yards for a practice squad player in those 3 plays than he had all season. Give it up for our DC! Go Bowles? Does Lovie still have a job?

  10. Kgh4life Says:

Bowles put a lot of responsibility on his edge rushers, maybe that’s why they don’t develop.

  11. Hodad Says:

    Ronde interested in coaching?

  12. buc4evr Says:

Agreed both Jason and Todd need to take a train outa town. Even the best ever Bucs HOF DB is saying Todd is nuts. lol. Nothing like seeing old man LVD trying to cover a WR that just blows past him into the end zone. On that play LVD was beat by at least 5 yards. Luckily Allen over threw his WR. Would rather see a plain set of blitz packages withDBs playing man coverage. If they give up the big play so be it. It can’t be worse what Bowles is doing now.

  13. Jerseybuc Says:

    Terrible HC!!!!
    Dam even barber sees it.
So stupid this team will not win Shhhhh with bum bowels in charge

  14. eMpTy Says:

It feels like the Bucs org has either given up or is broke??

Bucky, Evans, Godwin, McMillan should all be on injury reserve and bring in defensive help. We can’t play worse… take some swings at the 4 best players in USFL… doing nothing is unacceptable..

  15. orlbucfan Says:

The Bucs Secondary is the key and Bucs will win Sunday Nite.

  16. capnhowdy Says:

Hope you’re taking Notes @Jaaon R Licht when you’re shopping new HC candidates. Any new Bucs HC MUST ADHERE to this simple defensive #Truth: Edge Rushers are for collapsing the pocket and rushing/sacking the QB; NOT dropping into coverage and subsequently failing to cover RB’s, TE’s, and WR’s. Todd Bowles will never be able to blitz his way to a Super Bowl win, EVER. The franchise you run Jason Licht has two Super Bowl titles under its belt and as you should know first hand from that 2nd win, BOTH were won off the backs of a relentless pass rush by EDGE RUSHERS. WTF is so hard for you and Bowles to understand about this very simple #TRUTH??!!

  17. Buckit Says:

Ronde Barber for next Bucs Head Coach!!!!!

  18. Waterboy Says:

What edge rushers? Those guys would be backups on any other team just like JTS. Jim Schwartz shipped him off to Chicago quick after he realized that Tampa maxed out his abilities.

  19. SBucs Says:

Jason is a mediocre GM. He wins some in the draft and loses some in the draft. Actually like all GMs. Compound that with terrible head coach and you get what’s currently happening with the Bucs. No more no less. Can’t beat equal or better constructed teams.

  20. Baking with Grizz Says:

What does Ronde knows. Let’s keep trying it. Eventually that game plan will take us to the Super Bowl Baby!

  21. buc4evr Says:

Jason saw that there was a huge problem with the edge rush and chose not to do anything about it. The trade deadline is closed, Todd won’t change his ridiculous defensive scheme and the Bucs will have to rely on last second wins by Baker. Sad really because the Bucs will have no chance against playoff caliber teams. I never liked Bowles and always thought he was hard headed and living in the past. Jason is just as hard headed. Poor Baker, poor offense. no matter what they do they will be undermined by horrible coaching and a GM that hoards draft picks to the detriment of the team. What a waste of an another season.

  22. Defense Rules Says:

Ronde Barber … ‘But you have to be more, I don’t know, normal? Simple? Don’t call the plays that are gonna put players in positions-to-get-beat-type defenses.’

Ronde nailed it. Especially loved what he said about Reddick (‘he’s the guy that can handle those situations; these other guys cannot. They’re just not that type of athlete.’).

Shaq was another OLB who seemingly could handle those situations, and so was JPP. Neither was great in those situations, but they could deal with them.

As I look at the Advanced Passing stats for those players, something jumps out about their Pass Defense effectiveness in Todd Bowles’ defense:

    o Shaq: 6 yrs – 69 targets – 57 completions – 82.6%
    o JPP: 4 yrs – 30 targets – 26 completions – 86.7%
    o JTS: 4 yrs – 48 targets – 33 completions – 68.8%

    o D White: 5 yrs – 321 targets – 251 completions – 78.2%
    o Nelson: 7 yrs – 46 targets – 36 completions – 78.3%
    o Diaby: 3 yrs – 20 targets – 17 completions – 85.0%
    o LVD: 7 yrs – 526 targets – 400 completions – 76.0%
    o SVD: 3 yrs – 57 targets – 49 completions – 86.0%

Ironically the best OLB Todd Bowles has had in terms of coverage seems to have been JTS. He got a lot of snaps in his 2nd year, but once it became obvious that he wasn’t real good at rushing the passer, his snaps started to dwindle.

Fact is though, LBs for the most part just aren’t that fantastic at pass defense. Too many other things going on in their ‘world’ (like run defense, blitzing, pass rush, etc?).

  23. Guzzie55 Says:

Stop stop 20 yard game stop 10 yard game stop minimal gain 40 yard touchdown the epitome of TB defense

  24. Deeboooo Says:

It’s unbelievable that this team is currently 6-4, hasn’t had a losing season in years, rebuilding after the Brady fiasco…. And people are calling for Jason and Todd to be ran outta town.

Are you guys secretly eagle fans???… cause they doing the same thing rn

    Chilllllll

I’m not here saying Bowles shouldn’t change. I’m saying let’s judge him on then body of work when the seasons over. Let’s not be one of those teams firing coaches mid season. If he sucked, then he deserves what he gets.

  25. Kidfloflo Says:

I’m calling B.S!! How quickly Barber forgets the stick em like Glue Coverage down field of Rice, and Sapp, and Culpepper that free up our safeties like Lynch to rush the passer the way all great coaches and schemes employ! IF I’m not mistaken Booger had like 4 picks one year, in man to man coverage of teams #1 receivers. So its just our lineman’s forty times that our holding us back

  26. David Says:

I have been a Todd Bowles defender but-

During the off-season, they mentioned how they “figured something out and things were going to change.”
    It hasn’t.
They still sit back in a soft zone 40% of the time. Have no idea how to cover running backs out of the backfield. And cannot figure out how to get a four man pass rush.
    Nothing has changed.

I firmly believe this defense got them into the playoffs the last couple of years with all the injuries they had. Bowles HAD to bed complicated to make up for some of the talent

But this year, with very few injuries on defense, it’s been detrimental. Everything Barber said is 100% correct. This defense has a ton of talent on it, but it is not showing up in games consistently.
The big place they give up is unacceptable and so is receivers & RBs wide open within 10 yards.

With a little health on the offense and a strong run towards and into the playoffs, nothing is going to change, but LICHT and ownership need to start thinking about a DC and or Bowles replacement

  27. MelvinJunior Says:

Lmao What “EDGE-Rusher!?” LoL I didn’t know we had one!?

  28. Optimistic Says:

It is a good thing that the rest of the NFCS teams will lose at least 10 games.

  29. MelvinJunior Says:

We’ve drafted a few, I guess. Honestly, I don’t know HOW you could ever develop any “EDGE-Rusher” with Todd Bowles Defense. It would be impossible. Just WASTED. And, this has proven true. There has been more than enough of a ‘sample-size’ by now, to see. Can’t do it.

  30. CleanHouse Says:

Bucs4ever- I’ve been saying this for a while

  31. NCbucfan Says:

If Todd doesn’t adapt Sunday, it will get ugly very fast. Jason Licht calling Reddick “that dude” months ago is hilarious. He is a shell of what he was who is oft injured. He will be lucky to get 5-7 mil next year from someone next year. So much for a prove it year, lol.

  32. SlyPirate Says:

    DON’T YOU REMEMBER?

    1. Bowles got blown up last year by critic after critic for his defensive scheme. Former players and coaches … not just personalities.
    2. Bowles and his coaches spent the off season “figuring out the problem”. They watched countless hours of tape … AND found the fix.

This isn’t new news. This is very stale.

Bowles needs to hire a new DC.

  33. MelvinJunior Says:

OMG. Ronde just said exactly what I’ve been saying lately, on the very last paragraph, and the last two sentences of the paragraph before it!!!! 💯 Keep it Simple. Just Man against Man.

  34. MelvinJunior Says:

Do what they do BEST. Stop putting them in positions where they’re gonna FAIL… Where they don’t stand a chance. That is exactly the reason we’re continuing to get BURNT by all these huge plays!!!!

  35. MelvinJunior Says:

Yeah, that is true, Sly… He did say that this offseason. And, everyone was saying the exact same things last year. Groundhog Day. We should change it to “Todd Bowles Day” from now on here locally.

  36. Bosch Says:

Here is injury report. Looks like the illness is recoverable. Why the Bucs won’t describe the illness, I have no idea.

  37. dumboldguy Says:

As I said before, Bowles thinks he’s too clever and is like a toddler playing hide and seek hiding behind a small potted plant and giggling because the adults pretend not to see him.

  38. Let ‘em bake Says:

I predict Stafford gets blitzed early and often. And he will be successful. We simply don’t have anyone who can move him off his spot. He’s too good against the blitz, but Todd will do it to please the masses. Doesn’t mean we can’t win ( need another super run day). Might need a Chase 55 yarder at the gun…

  39. Joe in Michigan Says:

This is 100% true. Thanks for saying it, Ronde. Thanks for the article, Joe.

  40. SB~LV Says:

    Embarrassing 🙈
To get called out from the ROH and HOF who unlike coaches and GM’s will be with the franchise until the day he dies
    Bucs pick @19

  41. Les Says:

NOTHING LIKE BEING EMBARRESTED ON THURSDAY NIGHT BILLS GAME WHEN THEY SHOW REPLAYS OF THE BUCS AWFUL DEFENCE PRE GAME . JOSH BEST GAME EVER OF COURSE. GOOD OLD TODD BOWLES DEFENCE. IM DONE BEING EMBARRESED BY TODD . LETS FIND A COACH WHO IS ENERGIZED ANDBPUMPS UP HIS PLAYERS .FIRES PEOPLE ( SPECIAL TEAMS ) WHO DONT SHOW IMPROVEMENT AND CHEWS OUT PLAYERS WHEN THEY DOG IT . GLAZER BOYS ARE YOU NOT FED UP YET ??? YOUR GOOD EITH THIS YESR AFTER YEAR ? YOUR FATHER WOULD NOT BE !

  42. Bosch Says:

I did include a link in my post. I guess JBF disallows or does not support links. Won’t try that again.

If you don’t want to wait for Joe posting the injury report just google buccaneer injury report.

  43. TheVerv7 Says:

Ronde or Derrick Brooks for GM!

  44. Deeboooo Says:

James cook running all over the Texans.

At least we can stop the run!

  45. Rod Munch Says:

Wow… Houston, who hasn’t been able to run all year, is tearing up the Bills defense by running the ball. Could have never seen that coming.

  46. Josh Says:

Its almost like the Bills have put on film that there poor against the run and the Texans are taking advantage of the mismatch advantage… Hmmmmm….. I mean they are from Houston maybe there Rocket Scientist….

  47. Rod Munch Says:

Amazing how the Texans ran the ball at will, to the redzone, then just quit running. What morons. There’s a reason they have that defense, and yet they are still just .500.

  48. Vegasbuc Says:

Watching the bills Texans game it looks like the Buccaneers game from last week

  49. Jmarkbuc Says:

Well, damn, good on Ronde for saying it exactly like it is

  50. Rod Munch Says:

Texans averaging 7.7 yards per carry and 1.2 yards per pass — so of course they have more pass attempts than rush attempts. Morons.

  51. Rod Munch Says:

I started Woody Marks everywhere in fantasy because this Bills rush defense is so awful – and they’re having success when they run, yet they decide to keep passing the ball with a backup. Just idiots.

  52. DrunkInYbor Says:

That horse is in canned dog food.

  53. Coburn Says:

I’m just an armchair fan, but if there are 3 linemen and 2 olb then doesn’t rushing 4 mean that one of your OLB (edge) guys is going to be covering by default? If neither are then you’re probably blitzing an extra man or you’ve blitzed an off ball backer/secondary player and you’ve got an edge guy covering, but he’s not expect3e to have to cover more than 3 secs or so hoping blitz gets there

  54. Coburn Says:

I’m just an armchair guy but with 3 down lineman and 2 edge guys doesn’t rushing 4 mean you have an edge guy always covering someone? Even if blitzing if it’s an ilb or secondary you’re rushing 5 and asking an edge to cover.. hopefully it’s there I’m like 3 secs and he doesn’t have to cover any longer than that

  55. Kenton Smith Says:

Bills must have a good kick return team.

  56. Rod Munch Says:

Coburn – The Bucs basically run a 5-2 since, as those EDGE rushers are just that, not OLB’s in a traditional sense. So yeah, you’re basically asking a stand up DE to play pass coverage in the base defense.

Of course it’s worth noting that most of the time on passing downs they’re pulling someone and putting in a 3rd corner.

In any case, in a 5-2, you are sending 5 by design. It’s also why the “blitz” rates are nonsense, because people claim rushing 5 is a blitz – it’s not.

  57. Rod Munch Says:

So the Texans, who’s offense has been completely trash and has a bad backup QB playing tonight, is on pace for 40 points vs the Bills defense.

  58. Nick2 Says:

Thank you Ronde for pointing out what fans have been screaming every time we see one of our lumbering edge rushers helplessly follow bolts of lightning like Jameel Gibbs pulling away to the end zone like Secretariat at the Kentucky Derby!!

  59. Rod Munch Says:

“Like, how many times do I gotta see an edge player — an edge player, guys wearing number zero — Yaya — or No. 98, Anthony Nelson — running in the flat with a running back or wide receiver because that’s the responsibility?”

I agree, but at least with Yaya, the guy is like 4.78 type of runner. Nelson is a huge slow lumbering giant, I know his college 40 was like 4.8, but just watch him, that guy couldn’t break a 5.2 running downhill with a 50mph tail wind. I know it sounds like I’m bashing him, but I’m not, running a fast 40 isn’t something Nelson should be doing, he’s a power DE, and shouldn’t be trying to cover RBs who run a 4.4 40.

  60. BBDBucs Says:

Maybe I’m watching different games than some of you but how many times did our “edge rushers” get to the QB rushing just 4. Some of y’all act like if the weren’t playing pass defense they’d be all over the QB. I love my boys but the reason Bowles has to come up with the exotic blitzes is because we have no pass rush from our OLBs. Ronde is right that we don’t have the right players at OLB. But as hard as it’s to say our LBs both inside and out aren’t good. No matter the scheme they just aren’t good. That’s why our safety is leading the team in tackles. I think Our Dc and his blitzes are the only reason our defense is doing as good as they are.

  61. Josh Says:

Myles Garrett the best DE in the league currently/argueably never goes out to cover and gets 15 sacks a year you have to let them HUNT every play not 50% of the time the fact they win as often as they do says there pretty good at it…

  62. Danfan Says:

The game isn’t over yet, and Will Anderson Jr and Danielle Hunter are so much better than Diaby, Nelson, Reddick, but the Texans defense are really showing what a good defence can do to the Bills. Close to 3QT, 3 sacks on Allen, 0 TDs, 1 INT.

  63. Bucs4ever Says:

    4th sack on Josh Allen

Todd bowles sucks.. anyone defending him hates Tampa and does not want us to win. The guy is a total loser. Smdh

  64. Kenton Smith Says:

    5 sacks on Allen.

  65. Kenton Smith Says:

Rod. Maybe this offense isn’t gonna get 40. Better get 24 first.

  66. Bucks 'n' Bucs Says:

I hope our coach is watching

  67. HeartyDickerson Says:

Watching this Texans team…so this is what a defense with a defensive-minded HC is supposed to look like. Todd has had 7 years to build, and his D just keeps getting worse.

No thanks to Licht though. Only move was signing a washed malcontent that had 1 sack last season. Then you look at Patriots, they completely rebuilt their d-line in the off season with FAs. Licht, of course, didn’t sniff any one of those guys.

  68. Bucks 'n' Bucs Says:

Heck, I hope the entire defense is watching

  69. Kenton Smith Says:

7 sacks on Allen. Kancey, Walker, and Reddick would have been the difference maker for us. Needed those three.

  70. Rod Munch Says:

7 sacks on Allen. Kancey, Walker, and Reddick would have been the difference maker for us. Needed those three.

    ———

Pretty sure they’re not getting sacks either if Bowles is using them corners.

  71. Kenton Smith Says:

Houston head coach Ryans was also defensive coordinator until they started the year 0-3. Named a Defensive Coordinator and it’s helped them.

  72. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, that 4th down call by the Bills… just perfect. If it happened vs Tampa everyone would yell for everyone to but cut and fired – but sometimes you just get a perfect call.

  73. Rod Munch Says:

    Fun game.

Texans beat the Bills, and the Bills beat the Bucs, so the Texans would dominate the Bucs…

But wait, the Bucs beat the Texans, who beat the Bills, who beat the Bucs.

This makes no sense, does not compute.

  74. Kenton Smith Says:

Our defense has been hurt by injuries more than we’ve been thinking.

  75. Josh Says:

After what Houston just did—holding Allen to 19 points—Bowles should be gone if the Bucs lose to the Rams. Period. Let Grizzard serve as interim head coach and see what he can do with the rest of the season, and evaluate if he’s the right choice moving forward.

  76. BPBucsfan Says:

See what a good pass rush does. I didn’t see Will Anderson, or Hunter dropping in to coverage. Lee will be fired up for next podcast. Go Lee!! I just wanted to see Bills win tonight to keep ahead of Chiefs and hopefully keep Chiefs at home for playoffs.

  77. LawrenceDawsey Says:

Just got done watching texans whoop the bills. PRESSURES do effect the QB but… you have to be able to sack the qb first for those pressures to have any real effect. 8 sacks for the texans tonight. Embarrassing to watch this game as a loyal bucs fan.

  78. Rod Munch Says:

Josh – Houston is literally one of the best defenses in football, probably 2nd behind Cleveland. The Bucs are not in that league, certainly not when they’re passively playing that awful loose zone defense that Bowles used more and more as the game went along, and the Bills moved the ball easier and easier as a result.

  79. Kenton Smith Says:

Kancey, Reddick, Walker and Dean last week and we’d have won. Well, special teams needed to be a little sharper. Offense wasn’t particularly efficient. Might have been outcoached by a measure. Okay, maybe we didn’t deserve to win.

  80. Kenton Smith Says:

Rod. That bad backup QB is 3-0 filling in for Stroud. Not bad at all.

  81. Rod Munch Says:

Kancey, Reddick, Walker and Dean last week and we’d have won. Well, special teams needed to be a little sharper.

    ———–

I’d say if we just had Dean they win – because it means Bowles doesn’t go that to passive slop zone he hides in if there’s any injuries.

It’s also why the Bucs are guaranteed to look awful vs the Rams – since apparently Dean is going to be out, so that means more super soft zone, which means Stafford should throw for over 400 yards and at least 4 TDs. Not even being a drama queen about it, that is just always the outcome in these games where Bowles goes passive, and if anyone in the defensive backfield gets hurt, he always goes into turtle mode because he’s worried about the one big play. Meanwhile the defense played by far its best games vs the Lions and Pats, and both games they gave up huge plays, while creating turnovers and getting stops, and with even a mediocre offensive performance in either, they’d have won them.

But, again, once we get past the Rams things, things should look a lot better, in particular if Bucky, Godwin and eventually Evans are back – then if they make the playoffs, perhaps Kancey.

Rod. That bad backup QB is 3-0 filling in for Stroud. Not bad at all.

    ——–

That’s like saying Shawn King carried the 1999 Bucs.

That guy is terrible, just watch the game, he was missing guys all over the place – and yet the dumb coaches there kept throwing the ball, meanwhile they’re running with ease.

No, that Texans defense 100% won that game on their own. That’s not to say the week 2 Texans offense was any good, but Mills is a really bad QB, heck I’d rather have Teddy ‘Hospital Ball’ Bridgewater over Mills.

  83. SB~LV Says:

    Ronde is the Bucs Godfather!
In the Francis Ford Coppola context!

  84. Josh Says:

Exactly Munch so if hes a defensive minded coach and the defense sucks again!! Maybe its time to keep one of the offensive minds working with Baker before there all out of the building and its a complete and total rebuild…

  85. It’s brutal out here Says:

    Texans win, 8 sacks

  86. Hogslyr Says:

Ronde if you don’t have 350 lb lineman dropping coverage your missing the boat obviously you are not the defensive GURU Toad Bowels is! Silly defensive back!

  87. Badbucs Says:

8 sacks for Houston to zero for the Bucs. Anyone who says Bowles is a good defensive coach b is delusional. Glazers have to make a change. We’re going nowhere until this is done. Soft zone scared turtle coach has to go. I hope Rhonde is in the Glazers’ ear every day.

  88. ChrisBuc2327 Says:

When you have a hall of famer coming out making this point along with fans on a consistent basis it speaks high volumes and how bowles is hard headed and no adjustments. That’s why they keep burning us in the flats and we shouldn’t be trying to have edge rushers cover what a stupid scheme. He better get it together and the defense needs to wake up. Also where tf was vita Eva this past Sunday??? I need to see him show up on the stat sheet what a crappy game.

  89. Walter Says:

This isn’t anyone’s fault but Todd “Toilet” Bowles he is a TERRIBLE COACH this team couldn’t beat Ohio State THE DEFENSE IS GARBAGE 💯💯 Reddick only came here to collect a check Here’s to another busted draft like always 🍻🍻

  90. FeddyBucsFan Says:

If anyone else was the HC and Bowles the DC, Bowles would absolutely be on the hot seat. He may have some qualities as a HC, but he is absolutely failing as a DC.

Joe, everyone is beating the Bills, average teams, below average teams, except Tampa. Why is that? A somewhat successful D and special teams would have gotten us the win. Like cmon Bowles!!!!

  92. John Mason Says:

Do you think Bowles may have watched the Bills – Texans game? do you think he may have learned something about an edge rush or pass rush in general….I think not! He is just to stubborn to change…week before we played the Bills ..Miami put pressure on Josh Allen…only allowed 6 points..but Bowels defense turns right around the nx week and allows a league high 44 points…WTF…Baker is a gamer and may not be playing his best but with a Bowels defense there is going to be so much pressure on Baker to score points it will prob lead to some mistakes…We all have seen Bowels crappy defense for years now….Just sick of it…and no help from Jason L. …makes no sense. Gonna be hard to watch Sunday night.

  94. Aqualung Says:

Because Blowes Tood is a genius and knows better than everyone. Except his results suck. The one consistent.
