“Nobody’s Going To Save Us”

November 24th, 2025

What’s wrong with the Bucs?

A couple of locker room comments might shed some light.

Right tackle Luke Goedeke pulled no punches on the Buccaneers Radio Network after Sunday’s blowout loss to the Rams.

“Abysmal on our end,” Goedeke said with conviction. “The Rams walked all over us in every aspect of the game. … They took it to us.”

Todd Bowles seemed almost to be in denial when he talked about only a few plays worth of major issues within his struggling defense. But Bowels wasn’t delusional. He knows his team has issues and there’s much work to be done.

“We gotta fix our own problems. Nobody’s going to save us,” Bowles told the team’s official postgame show.

Joe still can’t believe how the Bucs seemed heartless and full of quit in the second half of the game, especially the offense. Why?

Where was the pride and the adjustments, and the fire and leadership from backup QB Teddy Bridgewater, who hadn’t played meaningful snaps since 2022?

When you have a HC that runs a cupcake training camp, cuts practices short, gives entire bye weeks off…of course guys love playing for him, he’s like a substitute teacher

Joe, I think they quit. It is probably not a good attitude but what do you expect when their coaches do not have answers and hold no one accountable. Fire Bowles.
