National Embarrassment; Rams 34, Bucs 7

November 23rd, 2025

Can someone at One Buc Palace please explain to Joe why the Buccaneers could not even compete tonight in Los Angeles?

Did the Bucs look ready to play? Joe doesn’t think so.

It looked like an effort from The Lost Decade of Buccaneers football. Yes, the Rams are damn good. No, the Rams aren’t nearly as good as they played tonight.

The Rams scored on their first three possessions with ease — in between was a pick-6 by Baker Mayfield courtesy of Cade Otton again having a football ripped from his hands (see Lions game).

Ballgame.

Oh, and now Baker Mayfield is hurt. Something is wrong with his left arm. He winced over and over and spent the second half with his left arm in a sling.

Joe can only imagine what was said at halftime, but whatever Todd Bowles uttered, his team didn’t respond.

Joe was very disturbed how backup QB Teddy Bridgewater didn’t look like a guy fired up to get on the field, especially in a season that’s seen backup quarterbacks seize opportunities all over the league.

Shame on this Bucs team. Rock bottom has arrived. Where was the heart?

All offseason, Bucs officials rambled about how great the leadership is on this roster. Nonsense.

Let’s hope Mayfield can play going forward or they will not win a game, no matter who comes back from injury.

  9. NashvilleBuc Says:

I don’t think it is the bottom.

  10. Bee Says:

Its time to overhaul the entire roster and let Bowles go. Healthy team or not he doesn’t have the critical thinking skills to lead a team to a championship.

  11. ElioT Says:

I’ve never been more embarrassed as a Bucs fan.

    It’s all over guys.

    Sick sick sick.

Bowles, Grizz – Mediocrity at best. So sad for the fans.

  18. Rick Says:

The team takes the personality of the coach. Enough said.

Teddy Bridgewaters behavior shows he’s just here 100% to collect the check

Cardiinals will beat us without bake

  21. Bucfan1988 Says:

That locker room of togetherness is going to be a crap show after these last 2 weeks.

Guarantee you there’s gonna be some checked out players after this joke was put on the field.

  22. Blumagic67 Says:

Bowles has zero imagination or fire. Disgusting. Such an embarrassing show he put on tonight and the last several weeks. We’re about to take a back seat in the inept south, geez!!!!

  23. adam from ny Says:

zombified team with low energy and no twitch

  24. Buc king Says:

Can we all agree to fire Bowles now?

  25. HC Grover Says:

I can explain. Todd Bowles. That explains it.

  26. Obvious Says:

    Thank god this happened.

We need the glazers to take action.

  27. Upstate NY Buc Fan Says:

Time to make Foote the permanent defense coordinator!!! immediately. Jason, you must be blind if you can’t see Bowles has no fire!! And the way McCollum played That was beyond embarrassing, just for another story!!! go, 49ers!!!

  28. Derek Says:

Teddy looks TOTALLY incompetent as a QB

  29. Oregon Buc Says:

Toad Bowels has been exposed. How many times do we have to keep hearing this song before someone pulls the plug? He just doesn’t get it and he’s been figured out across the NFL. Nice guy but time to waive bye bye

  30. Diablo Says:

    FIRE BOWLES TONIGHT! PLEASE!!!

  31. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Bowles face

    Grizzard face

    = NO FACE

  32. LJ Says:

There is no reason for two so mismatched trams to play a game of football. Someone is just gonna get hurt.

  33. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

That was awful! If Baker is really out, we’re toast.

Having neither starting guard is killing our offense but I’m not impressed with Gizzard either. Oh and our D – yikes!

  34. Taylor Says:

    Trask had more heart

  35. Jeebs the Honey Bear Says:

Same issues every week. It’s bad coaching.

  36. QBKilla Says:

How did we go from a Super Bowl championship defense to this? Bad draft picks.

  37. OneAndThree Says:

    The reason they didn’t compete????

Perhaps it’s the wax statue that passes for a HC????

    This season is officially over.

A month ago it looked like we were a playoff team in the making.

Now we wait for the draft and hopefully a new coaching staff and GM.

  38. Bucfan1988 Says:

I feel like we are now back in the era of Koetter/Lovie Smith with this garbage defense…..

  39. Frank Pillow Says:

I’m not sure this team is capable of winning another game. Seriously. Grizz is making Marcus Arroyo look creative. And the only one who believes in the defensive scheme is Todd. We can’t block, run, throw or tackle. Our special teams is a joke. I know the Rams are elite, but the effort level is lackluster and so is the talent. The FO has been over-evaluating our own players for years. See #27.

  40. TampaBayBucfan Says:

    Defense a disaster…..no pass protection and…

WHAT THE HELL ARE ALL THESE PASSES BEHIND THE STICKS>>>>>>>

No wonder we don’t get first downs.

    WRs not getting open…..Oline failing….play calling sucks….

  41. Rod Munch Says:

The Rams scored on their first three possessions with ease — in between was a pick-6 by Baker Mayfield courtesy of Cade Otton again having a football ripped from his hands (see Lions game).

    ————-

Which was also not an INT.

Can’t wait for the Wednesday letter from the NFL saying, “oops, our bad, that shouldn’t have been called an INT.”

    Not that it matters.

Another bum performance from Baker, and another bum performance from the defense.

    As expected.

Now it’s time for the playoff run to start.

  42. TheBucsAnthem Says:

If nothing major happens with this team between now and next Sunday

……that means the Glazers are in QUIT mode

  43. FortMyersDave Says:

Spytek launched Chip Kelly, can some one at OBP please relieve Todd of play calling abilities?

  44. Diablo Says:

    BOWLES HAS TO GO

  45. Bucfan1988 Says:

Wouldn’t be surprised if they go & grab Trask back off the Falcons practice squad and sign him behind Bridgewater..

  46. adam from ny Says:

the team has somehow lost it’s will to live…

    the tampa bay zombaneers

  47. Sonny P Says:

    They kept the wrong guy.

  48. Crazyhorse54 Says:

Hey, at least they’ll get paid. And, TB dares the Glazers to fire him. He’ll walk away a multimillionaire. Got to give it to Licht. He’s an absolute genius. Look at the team he built. He’s a sure bet for the RoH.

  49. Just Saying Says:

Too bad the coaching change didn’t happen last year. It’s a Bucs life.

  50. adam from ny Says:

    todd zowles

  51. Mach Says:

The players are soft, high character but no dawgs in that locker room. Its clear the team has quit on Bowles. Glazers need to fire him tomorrow and get Gruden or Arians as interim HC. No need to waste another season this year and next. Jason licht also needs to be called out for his arrogance in not trading for some key players, he sucks atvdrsfting edge no point keeping picks if you can draft edge might as well have traded for one like he did with JPP. Grazers need to listen to fans and pull the trigger look at what LA and spytek just did with chip Kelly. I like Bowlees but this another Tony Dungy situation. The media also need to start calling them out, I never see any tough questions callig out players, coaches or frotn office like we see in other markets.

  52. Simeon4HOF Says:

Less than mediocre hc dc and oc equals 1-4 last 5

  53. DBS Says:

Hopefully this sh!t show is over this year. Bowles and all his clowns will be fired. Start the search now.

  54. Boltsfan17 Says:

    Bowles and Licht must go.

  55. Surfing The Waivers Says:

If this was a baseball team, I’d say it’s Fire Sale time

Not one to overreact, but I feel we need a true house-cleaning.

Keep Wirfs and maybe EE but other than that, coaches and players got to go.

Just need the proper GM/President to guide the situation.

Don’t mind being in the wilderness if there is a plan to the future

  56. STL Buc Says:

Is it just me or did Teddy Bridgewater look really, really bad? Like he could barely throw the football 20 yards. Super stiff throwing motion. And seriously unathletic. In hindsight, it’s almost shocking that the Bucs picked Teddy over Kyle Trask. I’m not sure we win another game with Teddy.

  57. Rod Munch Says:

    Derek Says:

Teddy looks TOTALLY incompetent as a QB

    ———

And yet he pretty easily outplayed Baker.

    Bridgewater 8/15 62 yards, 63.8 passer rating
    Mayfield 9/19 41 yards, 32.0 passer rating

    Both sucked tonight, badly.

  58. adam from ny Says:

how do you become a future zombie…?

join the tampa bay zombaneers practice zquad

  59. gotbbucs Says:

Bowles can thank our crappy offense for allowing the Rams to pull the dogs off early. Can you imagine the numbers the Rams would have e put up on offense had the Bucs actually put up a fight?

This is Lovie/Raheem level ineptitude. We will quickly enter the apathetic phase of Bucs fandom after this season when zero changes will be made to the current regime.

  60. Oldbucsfan Says:

What’s with this damn give up attitude? You don’t sit on the ball the last two minutes of the game like that unless your the winners. Nobody does that in football.

  61. Theslimybucsfan Says:

Bridgewater is pretty bad… looked awful. None of his passes had any zip on them.. they all looked like potential INTs to me… Lavonte David looks slow this season, a step or two slower. The Offense is just flat… and the defense NEVER makes the game fun or relaxing to watch. THIS TEAM LITERALLY COULD BE A 2 WIN TEAM!!! THINK ABOUT THAT FOR A SEC. THINK ABOUT OUT ALL THE GAMES THEY WON IN THE LAST SECOND. THIS TEAM IS GETTING EXPOSED BY GOOD FOOTBALL TEAMS!!!

WTF!!! WE HAVE NO PASS RUSH!!! ITS SO BAD… THE RAMS OFFENSE LOOKED SO CONFIDENT THAT THEY WERE GONNA BLOW US OUT BEFORE THE GAME.

    Theres my Rant!
    Goodnight

  62. Mtbucsfan Says:

Well to bad the guy that should be the head coach is in Jacksonville making the most out of a team with less talent.

  63. Timon Says:

Teddy was chosen over Trask?! When are we gonna hold Licht accountable for his decisions? Teddy looked terrible!! And I’m not sure trask would’ve looked worse. At the very minimum Trask would’ve been more mobile than Teddy!

  64. HC Grover Says:

No Joe. it can get worse. This is not rock bottom.

  65. FortMyersDave Says:

Is the team quitting on Todd? Serious question y’all. Seemed like there was no heart or fight at all. If they have quit, time for a new head coach, we have seen this play out before. Suddenly the Bucs could go from first to worst in division if they are not careful, well make that worst to 3rd, I doubt the Saints can get to 6 wins……

  66. SBucs13 Says:

Teddy wanted to play as much as my grandmother. He never expected to get in a game. He’s here for a check. And he’s Todd and Jason’s man. This team is a reflection of Todd. No heart. No passion. No answers. Excuses.

  67. Mach Says:

This was a national embarrassment is correct, thus team is never reeady for primetime.

  68. Stan says Says:

I witnessed a team that has had a ton of injuries but also witnessed a team that has given up. Baker had not time. Bridgewater looked like the bum he’s been over the last few years. If Rod Munch has nothing to say you all know it’s over. Shame on the players just giving up.

  69. Chad Says:

Rod munch how come your not saying another bum performance from the Bucs o-line. How come baker is the only one called out on the offense when the o-line was ass all game

  70. dbbcpa Says:

Someone should lose their job over this game. Players and coaches.

  71. JeffreyLane77 Says:

I’m betting Mayfield is out for the season.

  72. FlumundaCheese Says:

This is what you get with Bowles as head coach. It’s been obvious for years. But..but.. but we’re winning divisions. Who cares? You’ll never win a super bowl with this bum as your coach.

  73. Texas Tony Says:

No trades. Failed to upgrade roster in the offseason especially on defense this is the result. They never wanted to be elite. FO fails to make changes. The owners are soft. Enough said

  74. Boise Bucs Fan Says:

Hey guys, Bowles has the answers. They got to coach it better, players got to play it better

  75. MadMax Says:

Rebuild mode! Please start with removing Todd!!

  76. Theslimybucsfan Says:

“Joe was very disturbed how backup QB Teddy Bridgewater didn’t look like a guy fired up to get on the field, especially in a season that’s seen backup quarterbacks seize opportunities all over the league.”

SPOT ON JOE. TEDDY DIDNT LOOK LIKE HE CARED MUCH AT ALL.

  77. Frank Pillow Says:

Maybe the FO and HC can cry some more about how Liam left the building. Clearly, the more gifted and essential coach walked and had turned around a dumpster fire franchise. #itsabucslife

  78. Nick2 Says:

Todd Bowles didn’t sound upset or alarmed at our last two embarrassments. What does he say now? Three years of mid season collapsing shows a lack of leadership from the head coach plain and simple. Had the defense held tough the last three games the Glazers could chalk it up to offensive injuries but suddenly the “defensive guru” has no answers .1000 yards and over 100 points the last three games?? Todd Bowles is on borrowed time his defense is officially terrible. Please fire Todd Bowles.

  79. BigZ Says:

But schedule gets easier and we get Godwin back. Chris is done and as I said JL will run the day he resigned him.

Perplexing the 4 and 25 call that put Bake over the edge.

DONT PAY HIM 50 PLUS. THAT WILL BE LIKE A DASHAUN WATSON MOVE.
I like him but no way can he carry a team for a season let alone multiple seasons.
Hes 31 soon, small and injury prone, pass.

  80. Josh Says:

Toilet Bowl needs to be left in LA…

  81. Dr Says:

With the losses of Irving, Evans, and McMillan, the offense is average at best and dysfunctional against good defenses. For consecutive years, however, Bowles’s defense is the weakest link. They haven’t fixed the personnel deficiencies and simply aren’t competitive. They’ve made it to the playoffs for three years, but odds are now that they lack the health and continuity to make a similar run now. Bowles will be granted a mulligan, and with a better draft position and weaker schedule next year is the one to watch. But stick a fork in this season.

  82. gotbbucs Says:

Teddy looks like an unserious joke even sitting on the sideline with that dumb stocking cap on over that massive hair, then playing the entire game with one chin strap unsnapped. Fits right in with this clown show I suppose.

  83. Rod Munch Says:

Seriously, who didn’t know the Bucs were going to get blown out in this game? If you didn’t see it coming, you don’t know football – and certainly don’t know the Bucs history and what they always do in these games.

I did expect some late garbage time scores to help the box score – but Bum Bridgewater and his noodle arm could barely throw past the line of scrimmage.

Anywho, fully expected this – and now the real season begins.

I expect Baker to have amazing healing powers and be fine for Sunday – unless he makes any bad plays, then it’s because “he’s injured” – but if he makes any good plays it’s because he’s “finally healthy.” Anywho, lets hope he’s “finally healthy” more than “he’s injured” and they go out and get an easy win over the Cards. If not, then panic, but I’m not worried about this game, it always goes this way.

  84. SBucs13 Says:

I expect the Cardinals to visit Tampa next Sunday and leave with a win. Not because they’re better but the Bucs are a disfunctional team. No coaching, no heart, no answers. Todd and Jason are totally at fault, ever decision they’ve made has been terrible. Those early wins were smoke and mirrors.

  85. Oldbucsfan Says:

Man take that crazy looking pic of Teddy down, it’s scary looking!

  86. Nick2 Says:

Just think of that Liam Cohen and Dave Canales both looking better than Bowles and we let them both walk.

  87. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    That was bad.

    And…I cannot believe I’m saying this…but I miss Trask.

  88. Les Says:

THIS IS THE DEFENCE BUILT BY TODD BOWLES AND JASON LIGHT . IT WAS NOT INHERITED ,IT IS THERES ! AND YOU CANT BLAME INJURIES BECAUSE THERE BASICALLY HEALTHY . ZERO PASS RUSH , SECONDARY THAT CANNOT COVER . UNDER PREFORMING OFFENCE LINE . COMPARE TO ANOTHER GUY WHO BUILT A DEFENCE HERE .TONY DUNGEE ! SHOWS WHAT THE RIGHT COACH CAN DO AND BOWLES IS NOT IT . TIME FOR A CHANGE LONG OVERDUE .

  89. Rod Munch Says:

“Joe was very disturbed how backup QB Teddy Bridgewater didn’t look like a guy fired up to get on the field, especially in a season that’s seen backup quarterbacks seize opportunities all over the league.”

That’s because he’s a bum who shouldn’t be in the NFL.

I remember saying that in the preseason when he was throwing hospital balls putting our young stud WR on the IR.

  90. BigZ Says:

No Dawgs on this team. Play mediocre and get paid. Good teams don’t lose 4 out of 5, fact.

  91. dumboldguy Says:

Serious question–Is Pratt out there somewhere? If we have to go 2 weeks with no Baker we couldn’t beat the Saints with Bridgewater. Just let Pratt go full improvise street ball. Can’t be worse.

  92. TheScourge Says:

Complacency from top to bottom. This has been festering for quite some time. Licht is arrogant, Bowles is obstinate and the roster is weak minded. The injuries are the only excuse left. Hopefully the owners stop ignoring the issues. If they don’t, it will be the same thing next year.

  93. B Says:

That was a signature Bucs Prime time pants pooping. I can’t immediately recall an NFL football game that was over so quickly. I mean there was absolutely zero sense they could compete in this game past the first possession.

  94. Football 1 Says:

Joe, really did you expect something different. I predicted the game would be over by the first quarter. Earlier in the week. Actually it was over after the Dsms got the pick six. This was unfortunately to easy to see coming!!. Tonight went exactly the way it looked like it would go. No surprises.
This team is done unfortunately. The last 3 games paint the picture. The team has no defense and too many people out on offense. Yes I expect Car to win the division. I said so last week. Yes is the season that could have been.
Yes no surprises tonight. The Bucs are who we thought they were.

  95. WILL24 Says:

I’d say overhaul the coaching staff and front office but I don’t trust the Glazers to bring in the right people. Need Licht to get this back on the rails FAST, but the deadline past and he squandered it.

  96. Inwoodjeremy Says:

It’s just a extension of preseason games now with Mayfield hurt. It wouldn’t really matter anyway with this pathetic defense and special teams. This current roster and coaching staff needs to be modified. The SB window closed when Brady left the building. Jason’s just been riding the cheap wave of Todd and Baker till the wheels fall off.

  97. BucsFan81 Says:

Yea this isn’t the bottom. The end of the season will be when this team doesn’t win another game. The biggest collapse in NFL history from 5-1 to not even making the playoffs. That will be the story. Bucs doing Buc things. Back to the lost decade we go. It was fun while it lasted. Should have moved Liam Cohen to head coach and canned Bowles when we had the chance. That guy had the jaguars fired up and a better record.

  98. Les Says:

Jason light blew it when he did not make Coen head coach ! Look how the jags are doing his first year .we should have built on that year here instead jags jumped on him and we are stuck with bowles and this bad defence . He cant coach.

  99. gotbbucs Says:

Can’t wait to hear Todd’s self reflection on this one. He’ll blame the players as usual and lose even more credibility in the locker room.

  100. ‘74 Bucs Fan Says:

“We have to coach it better and we have to play it better”. Who’s ready to hear that again?

  101. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

We have some top players, and those players are not complacent.

When Mayfield went out, the breath went out of the team.

Also, the offensive line was better when patchworked.

  102. HeartyDickerson Says:

Coen took a 4-13 team and now has them 7-4.

Meanwhile, we now have what might be the worst D in the NFL and a complete turd at OC.

We chose the wrong guy. We made a Bowles-type decision by picking Bowles. We went for the safe, boring option, and it’s going to set us back 3 years.

  103. Rod Munch Says:

    BigZ Says:

    No Dawgs on this team.

    ——–

That’s not true, Baker literally is the dawg-king – he won the week 6 MVP voting you know.

“Early in my career, it’s looked as cocky, immature. Now it’s moxie, he’s a dawg. Same sh*t, different day.”

  104. BUC4L Says:

Joe you said exactly how I felt. This team is lost and I believe Baker was alluding to it a few weeks back. My opinion is Todd is not a good coach and probably the last of ole Arians regime where were sold a bag of nothing. Not saying I want Gruden back but maybe that’s what this team needs…Worst football game I have watched in a long time. I will be at the home game this Sunday please bring your ear pieces. Go Bucs!

  105. Hammerhead Says:

    Short qb. No tall wr’s.

At least Carolina Panthers drafted a tall wr.

  106. Bartow Buc Says:

It’s been a terrible three weeks of football for sure. My Gators are losing and my Bucs are losing, my heart is broken!!
Eventually I’ll get over it and pull for my Bucs next Sunday !!
I sure hope Baker is not out for the season!!

Go Bucs !! Beat the Cardinals!!

  107. WILL24 Says:

Why does this Rod guy trash Baker after every loss, but hardly credit him for carrying the team to wins? Disingenuous stuff.

  108. capnhowdy Says:

My heart goes out to Lavonte….he came into this league playing his heart out on some of the sorriest teams to ever take the field, and now, whether it’s this season or the next, as long as Bowles is in charge and Licht’s hoarding picks of hope instead of dealing for proven players; he’ll soon be retiring from a losing team as well.

  109. firethecannons Says:

Bowles is so stoic on the sideline, it is a very bad look. Time to start the coaching search. The Buccaneers are not going to make the playoffs so please stop the happy talk about playoff seeding, it is sickening. We are going to lose to Carolina at this rate.

  110. Tye Says:

    Bowels will NOT be missed!
why would anyone miss dead weight….

  111. BUC4L Says:

Kinda looks like Tracy Chapman driving a fast car straight into the ditch!

  112. Rocket101 Says:

Every opposing QB has career numbers, Early in season Baker bailed out Off coordinator, but was living on borrowed time. Opposing Def knows plays better than our offense. No worries about anyone stealing Griz.

  113. Nick jannette Says:

    Bowles is terrible

  114. Rocket101 Says:

    Rod Munch is a turd

  115. sunny Says:

Hes 31 soon, small and injury prone, pass.
    ___________________________
oh foh, he is not any more “injury prone” than any other quarterback. he’s missed like 1 game due to injury (he missed the last game of 2021 due to surgery) and 1 due to covid in his almost 9 year career.

he’s also not “small” – you morons act like he’s some kind of midget when he’s 6’1″ and 215 lbs.

and 31 is not old, he’s in the prime of his career. i guess the rams better get rid of stafford since he’s so old and injury prone. *eyeroll*

  116. Ufcguy197 Says:

Funny how the rams had all day to throw. Wide open every play and we can ly scheme two yards honestly fck this team and the coaches. They can kick the entire defense to the curb for all I care especially the dline and zyon. Idk zyon why dont you turn your head and play the ball or just continue to give them fifteen yds wide open. He sucks

  117. Juggernautical Says:

This team has not look good in prime time for the past couple of years….

  118. Bojim Says:

Ugly. Watched it all. Should an interesting week.

  119. Mr_Barf Says:

There was more heart in the broadcast booth with the 500 cake presented with lit candles than the zombie Bucs

  120. Bucmike Says:

Right now honestly i think we will lose both games to Carolina and also lose to Atlanta. Fighting for Third in Division……………Sucks….

  121. Rick Says:

    This season is over.
