Luke Goedeke Practices; Bucky Irving, Chris Godwin Still Out

November 5th, 2025

Bucs running back Bucky Irving has missed four games and enjoyed a healing bye week but is still not practicing.

That was among the sad news today at One Buc Palace.

Irving, who has shoulder and foot issues, remained sidelined along with ailing receiver Chris Godwin (fibula).

On the field, however, was right tackle Luke Goedeke, the stud starter who has barely played this season.

“[Goedeke] was limited,” head coach Todd Bowles said. “It was just good to see him out there running around. Obviously, he’s gotta go through some things and we gotta get in pads. And he’s gotta do quite a few things, but it was good to see him out there moving.”

Bowles added that Godwin and Irving are running, but apparently that’s not at practice. Irving, Bowles said, still has a healing shoulder.

The offense is sputtering because Rashaad White is running in quick sand when he gets the ball. He has no burst or elusiveness so teams are zeroing in on our passing game

    Sad

    YES!!!!!

  4. Stpetematt Says:

Irving and Godwin can’t be too much further away either. But Goedeke is a HUGE UPGRADE.

  5. SlyPirate Says:

The OL and RB backups are playing well enough. No need to rush Goe and Bucky back.

Hopefully EE healed up. We definitely need some more firepower at WR. Too bad the coaches forgot about Culp.

  6. 813bucboi Says:

    Don’t rush Luke…

Let him knock off the rust against the Bills….we need him more vs the Rams

    GO BUCS

  7. MadMax Says:

    Reddick also

  8. Rover Says:

Its depressing how we handle injuries under this regime. And it’s strictly me being selfish because I just want to know if these guys are returning this year. Sad thing is if they arent returning, we would never know. They would handle it exactly how they are. Go Bucs!

  9. David Says:

If this is a bad turf toe, Bucky could be gone for many more weeks.
I don’t think most people realize how serious an injury turf toe is because it has such a stupid name.

Great news on Goedeke. He’s probably the most important piece of the offense that needs to get back right now.
After him, I would say Godwin because some of the pressure needs to get taken off of the rookie.

This is a fact, Deion Sanders had 2 toes amputated in 2021 partly due to a turf toe injury that goes back to 1998! 15 years after he took his last NFL snap, it’s no joke at all.

  11. Cho Says:

To me, Goedeke is the most important one by far. Football is won in the trenches.

Still, I wouldn’t like to see any of them rushed back. If needed, get them another week’s rest and have them all back full speed by next game.

The Patriots are tough, no doubt. But we can beat them at half strength. Maye will have 400 yards but they’ll have some turnovers and that will be the deciding factor. Mayfield gets back on track.

Bucs win in a shootout, lose to LA next week and beat Buffallo the week after that. 8-3 and into the easy part of the year.

  12. Slacker Says:

Godwin was never going to be a factor this year, just a roster spot

Some good news is better than no good news!

  14. Boge Says:

Great update, any news on who’s playing RG?

  15. Guzzie55 Says:

Maye for 400!?? That’s not going to happen, they have been feasting on bottom feeders, only 2 teams above.500, and way worse defenses than us, he has 0 300 yard games, still going to be a big challenge, but honestly, it’s more them trying to prove they are a good team, we are already a good team that has to overcome injuries all year, the story of the 2025 Bucs season is injuries

  16. BucU Says:

This team is going nowhere. They gaslight the F out of us with this bull “week to week” garbage. Godwin is done. Evans is done. Who the F knows when Irving is coming back. The brittle Buccaneers strike again. Pathetic.

  17. Daryl Green Says:

I don’t think Bucky has turf toe. It was his ankle. I think the issue with Buck is the shoulder. Coach Todd said they were running
On the sidelines him and The God. I think we won’t see them until the Rams.
    Luke is playing this week👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤙🏾

  18. JBBUCS_06 Says:

Play Goedeke and leverage the quickness of Tucker in the run and elite pass catching White in the screen game. Be offensively creative taking shots when we can. Use Otton now that he doesn’t have to stay in pass pro.

We won a super bowl with Meshawn and McCardell and running with Allstott and Pittman. Only 1 of those 4 were elite. Elite Defense and smart offense. It has been done before.

  19. IrishTony Says:

Bowles said that Irving was running around but they won’t know anything until pads and contact tomorrow.

  20. Daryl Green Says:

JB u are saying some good things, only thing I disagree with on is Tucker’s quickness don’t see that. Put take shots we can on 3rd 5 get the first down.
A roll out baker a little more move the pocket.🤙🏾👊🏾

  21. BigRob Says:

Buck just needs to stay put on the bench and let our glorious Rachaad White shine. He is a glimmering star amongst the bleak darkness of hope, he will put up 70+ rushing yards and another 90 receiving yards if he is the lone-starter this week.

  22. richbucsfan Says:

It’s obvious Bucky ‘s shoulder is severely injured. Get him surgery now so we don’t waste next season with him healing. The Bucs FO never learns.

  23. Tucker Says:

Just like joe said unless I see Godwin of old he isnt really back just a roster spot wish they would have traded for a wr but hopefully I’m just wrong but he didn’t seem all that good from the limited time he was back.

  24. richbucsfan Says:

BOGE, hope is playing RG. We hope one of four Olineman that have tried and miserably failed will somehow turn into stud RGs. Yes, the GM is full of hope …and something else.

  25. Lightningvinny1 Says:

Can Heck play RG,,, he seems to block the rush well

  26. Outrigger Says:

I never heard of Bucky having turf toe. I thought it was his ankle.

  27. Hodad Says:

When Godwin returned this season he looked like a shell of his former self. My guess is his fibula was fractured. Like J Mac’s neck Bucs won’t tell you what’s really going on. My point, don’t expect the old Cris back this season. He probably should’ve sat out this year. He’s one more injury away from retirement.

  28. Brian in FL Says:

It will be huge when they all come back, but we should temper our expectations about when that will be. Gotta have the mindset that we will play the pats with none of them.

  29. Gary Says:

    The best ability is availability.

  30. Matt Says:

    We really need Bucky back

  31. Mj Says:

    Luke is playing Sunday
