“Hungry” Offensive Line Found 2024 Vibe
November 18th, 2025The pride of Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht, the Bucs’ offensive line, had itself an eye-popping day Sunday in Buffalo.
Sitting at his postgame locker in the not-too-sad Bucs locker room, center Graham Barton reflected on the line’s performance.
The Bucs ran 39 times for 202 yards and 3 touchdowns. Take away Sean Tucker’s 43-yard TD run, and the Bucs still ran for an average of more than 4 yards per carry. And that includes Teddy Bridgewater’s end-of-game kneeldown for a loss. That’s dominance on the ground.
Baker Mayfield was only hit three times as a passer. Bills edge rusher Joey Bosa was neutered for the afternoon.
Despite two backup guards starting, Michael Jordan and Dan Feeney, dudes unemployed in July, the Bucs’ offensive line had a banner day.
“I thought we came out hungry, like I thought we were physical. We did some good things.” Barton said. “That’s what we did to teams a lot last year and we’re trying to get back to that.
“But again, not enough, early in the game in the red zone on that turnover inside the 10 yard line, we got to score there. Obviously a lot of good things [in Buffalo] but not enough.”
Joe talked to someone in the Bucs’ locker room off the record about the resurgence of the offense in Buffalo. The message was clear: don’t underestimate the return of Luke Goedeke after shaking off rust against the Patriots.

Calm down people, everyone runs at will on the Bills. Everyone.
November 18th, 2025 at 12:25 pm
Maybe the defense will follow their lead …but hoping to keep the Rams under 40pts
November 18th, 2025 at 12:30 pm
Here’s a scenario staring the Glazers right in the face. Raheem Morris was a rising star and was promoted to head coach before he was ready. He failed and is now failing again. I hope the Bucs don’t destroy Grizzard’s future in the same manner.
November 18th, 2025 at 12:30 pm
“the Bucs’ offensive line, had itself an eye-popping day Sunday in Buffalo.” And yet – the fearless head coach, the one with the new found “killer instinct” doesn’t want to try to get two yards on two carries. Brilliant. Yea – I’m still pissed!
November 18th, 2025 at 12:31 pm
I had Tucker over yards and 15 carries ,,, a nice boat of money in a loss as Tucker was #2 RB in the betting market but anyone who watched pats game knew he was getting the carries ,,, Not sure how anyone is going to do this weekend against the rams ,,, but you be dang sure I got (on a short week) Marks and Chubb to do the same thing to the Bills Thur (threw in a Josh anytime TD to make it a three way parlay ) Parlays are where the money is at boys
November 18th, 2025 at 12:34 pm
Like lee likes to say calm down bills rank last in run defense who doesn’t run buck shot on their defense and bucs still lost so much ado about nothing.
Bills recently held the Chiefs and Carolina to very ho-hum rushing outings and both those team run pretty well.–Joe
November 18th, 2025 at 12:35 pm
Grizz needs to have a similar game plan vs the Rams….run the ball to keep stafford on the sideline and score 7 not 3…
bowles has to get away from his soft zone and play man..mcvay can win with 4plays if teams lay back and play zone…
GO BUCS!!!!
November 18th, 2025 at 12:36 pm
Gonna need it on Sunday night. Hopefully we get Irving back also.
November 18th, 2025 at 12:46 pm
Tykee Smith = Bucs MVP
We should be talking about Tykee. He is having a Pro Bowl year. He’s the best player on the team.
His stats are NUTS. The best in the NFL.
>11 Passes Defened (Ranks 4th). Everyone above him is a CB.
>2 Sacks. Tied for 2nd amongst DBs
>79 Tackles. Tied for 1st amongst DBs
How many times did he make a play in BUF? He was everywhere.
November 18th, 2025 at 12:48 pm
call him the kool-aid man because Licht gives the O-line that “oh yeah!”
I’ll see myself out.
November 18th, 2025 at 12:50 pm
Bucs still -850 to win division ,,,, that’s pretty big considering Carolina is right there ,,, I trust Vegas ,,, Let’s get healthy and go into the playoffs hot
November 18th, 2025 at 1:09 pm
“But again, not enough, early in the game in the red zone on that turnover inside the 10 yard line, we got to score there. Obviously a lot of good things [in Buffalo] but not enough.”
Absolutely have to score 7 there, it was a freebie and you don’t get many of those to where you start right inside the 5 yard line. Again, give me a game where our offense and defense are on their best behavior, even if it’s for a half.
I’ll take some semblance of complimentary ball over 1 side playing well one week, then stinking the joint up 2 weeks later in any of the three phases.
We need better team ball, and to do it consistently while there is time left in our schedule to lock our postseason berth up.
Beating the Rams would be HUGE for us, and a needed confidence booster
November 18th, 2025 at 1:11 pm
Defensively and special teams decisions this organization have made (or not made) starting with extending Bowles for no reason in the offseason to banking on Braswell/Diaby/Reddick and Dennis to name a few to lead this team deep into the playoffs have come back to bite this team in the butt.
The offense on the other hand is the side with all the injuries to star players and yet they’re still respectable considering those issues. Ironic that the one thing the team does well Bowles has little to no input on. You think the Bowles bashing is bad now wait till they get boat raced on Sunday night in LA. You will see no scheme change whatsoever. This guy lives and dies with his outdated, schizophrenic defense. The same issues year after year with this guy.
November 18th, 2025 at 1:30 pm
Great…we have the offense fixed….now how about the other three phases:
Defense Special Teams……Coaching
November 18th, 2025 at 1:35 pm
Our offense is far from fixed, lol still trash on 3rd and in the RZ, one game doesn’t absolve them from criticism and had we not deviated from passing 40 times we may have lost anyway.
Settling for 3 after getting the ball in goal line situation.
Passes behind WRs.
Expecting Egbuka to catch jumpballs on the back boundary of the endzone, when you got 2 big mf’ers at TE1 & TE2 that you rarely target which makes the efficiency crappy.
The HC oddly not trusting them to convert 2 -3 yards on 3rd/4th downs.
November 18th, 2025 at 2:11 pm
This is the reality: People are now celebrating stats over score. And getting excited over averaging 4 yards per carry.
How about some stories on how dropping DEs to cover Cook was so smart and clever? Oh wait. It wasn’t. It was stupid.
How about some stories about leaders on Defense? Oh. Sorry. There were none.
How about some stories on how the team’s pride won a game? Hmmm
How about how Diaby and SVD and Braswell are living up to the promises of the coaches this summer?
Maybe Licht is not such a great drafter. Maybe Bowles is not such a great motivator.
Bucs players and coaches: have a modicum of self-respect.
You are as bad as Atlanta. Just with a few more breaks.
November 18th, 2025 at 2:25 pm
even so joe the bills rank dead last in run defense so 🤷 just about everyone who desires to run on the bills are very successful. Even the sun shines on a dogs a$$ some days doesnt mean the bucs figured anything out in the run game until there is consistency.
November 18th, 2025 at 2:36 pm
Joey bosa is neutered every week. Guy can barely walk
November 18th, 2025 at 2:39 pm
Mayfield was “hit only three times as a passer” because he did what he has always done since becoming TBB QB in 2023, he ran like hell to get out of harm. Couldn’t do it for three weeks because of injury. Still not close to 100% but on the upswing. Hope that Baker keeps dodging disaster,
November 18th, 2025 at 2:59 pm
The defense is so bad this doesn’t even matter. Fire Clueless Todd!
November 18th, 2025 at 3:30 pm
I predict……Our best game of the season coming against the rams.
We’re right back where we want to be – DISRESPECTED – by the media and especially the folks around here.
November 18th, 2025 at 3:48 pm
Should we get a participation trophy(or maybe a Winston Jersey) for running against the last place run defense while losing and still can’t get 2 yards when the game is on the line? Woohoo. Let’s party with Bowles!
November 18th, 2025 at 3:52 pm
Oh yeah, aren’t we last place in redzone scoringas well? Dominate? We should be so proud!
November 18th, 2025 at 3:55 pm
Defense let us down on a few plays and pass rush was ineffective.
Offense had multiple opportunities too.
Special teams was pitiful on several returns.
We were in shape to pull off the win until late.
It was over as soon as Baker threw his pick.
The game really came down to a couple of plays.
Don’t know why people feel like they have to blame one squad or 1 person in a sport that is the ultimate team game. Any one area (offense, defense, special teams) could have made one more play and we’d have won.
November 18th, 2025 at 4:00 pm
Nobody is celebrating stats over score, please stop the bloodclaat cryin.
November 18th, 2025 at 4:36 pm
when i think grizzle, i don’t exactly think sizzle…
he’s definitely f’in around with the word mediocrity…
not great for an OC…
but you must factor in a lot of key guys have been scrapped for the year…it’s a real issue…
our 5th and 6th receivers are now our numbers 2 and 3…that’s freakin’ insane…
and to not pick anyone up before the deadline…
and an extra ILB like a kyzir white was insane too…who you probably could have grabbed away from tennessee for a 6th rounder…
things are a little off rn…hopefully they right the ship…
them boys gotta soldier in to LA on monday night and pull off a statement win…a save the season type game…that’s gotta be the mentality…the rams record is slightly inflated…they really don’t deserve to bump up to 9-2…that’s just a wild record for them…it’s the bucs job to knock them down to 8-3 and bump us up to 7-4…
if they can do that, things are ok…then the only really bad loss was the home loss to the pats…but if they go 0-3 out the bye and lose 4 of 5, the season is collapsing…
remember the old rule of thumb – if you start the season 0-4 in a 16 game season, you are basically cooked…
so if you drop 4 of 5 you’re pretty cooked as well…
soldier in to LA and get this win………it’s a big one

Warren Brooks Lynch … ‘Our offense is far from fixed, lol still trash on 3rd and in the RZ’.
One of the most critical plays in Sunday’s ballgame is when the Bucs intercepted in the 1st qtr at the Bills 7-yard line, THEN had to settle for 3 points instead of getting the TD. That 4-point differential may seem irrelevant (since we lost by 12 points), but no so.
Bucs went for 2 points TWICE … and failed TWICE … because we were within less than 7 points. Had bucs made that original TD (following the INT), the decision process would’ve been much different. And the last minute differential probably wouldn’t have been 12 points; it probably would’ve been 6 points … leading to wholly different play-calling decisions.
3rd-down play-calling (and results) were very instructive in that game. The scorecard says the Bucs were 9-for-16 on 3rd down situations. That’s VERY good compared to what we’ve been doing lately. But break those down & a whole different picture rears its ugly head.
Bucs ran on 6 of those 16 possible conversions … and we made the 1st down ALL 6 TIMES. Bucs passed (or attempted to) on 10 of those 16 possible conversions … and we made the 1st down on only 3 of the 10 (although Baker did complete 5 of those 10 passes). Admittedly 1 of those completed passes, although short, resulted in a 4th-and-1 and the Bucs went for it (and made it … by running the ball).
Point being: our run game was on fire; our 3rd down passing game was sputtering. Flashback to 7:32 left in the 4th qtr with the Bucs trailing 37-32. Bucs had just run twice, gained 8 yards, and were sitting at our own Tampa 39 with a 3rd-and-2. Baker passed short right to Shepard but it was incomplete. Then we punted … and the game effectively ended.
Bucs’ offense really had 2 chances to get a 1st down. Not a question in my mind that our offense could’ve run the ball & made that (the game was on the line). Instead we passed on 3rd down (we’d converted 6-of-6 of those running the ball, but only 3-of-9 (til then) passing the ball. DUH! And then following that up with a decision to PUNT & put the game outcome in the hands of our defense just blows my mind. Bad coaching all around. Now learn from that and on to Los Angeles.
Oh and WBL, had we scored 7 instead of 3 points on that INT, and had we settled for 1 point those 2 times instead of failing on TWO 2-point convesions, the score at 7:32 would’ve 38-37 Bucs ahead. Even if we punted on that drive & Bills went on to score, the Bucs still would’ve had 2.5 minutes left in the qtr to mount a comeback. And we’d taken it all the way down to the Bills 31-yard line with 2 minutes left when Baker was sacked then fumbled. Never know, things might’ve ended quite differently had some things been done just a tad differently earlier.
November 18th, 2025 at 4:44 pm
this monday night is actually a huge game…
season collapsing…
pride at stake…
formerly the #1 power ranked team in the nfl…
the panthers creepin’ hard…
it’s time to man up or pack it in…
you can’t lose to every good team and then hold your head up beating the ultimate league scrubs going down the stretch…
i guarantee we split with carolina as well…
and now with cousin kirk under center in atlanta, with nothing to lose, he is way more of a problem than that bum penix…
we will not sweep thru our divisional games…hopefully we only lose one to carolina and win the rest…
also i said before the season watch out for arizona and miami, as well as the pats, as trap games…i guarantee arizona and miami aren’t going to lay down…one is going to make us all sweat – remember it’s a buc’s life my friends, a buc’s life !
November 18th, 2025 at 4:48 pm
the offense is somewhat a mess…disguised by a 32 point effort…
the offense is in disarray…
yet the defense is outshining them as the hottest mess in town…
don’t let those 32 points camouflage you – the offense is not flowing too well either…
baker knows
November 18th, 2025 at 4:51 pm
we have a real problem at receiver rn…
the eggman as a true number 1 is def questionable…
and factor in he’s a tired rookie potentially hitting the wall…and that leaves us with shep and tez…
receiver is a real time issue being overlooked by everyone rn…
baker knows…just check his stats…
where’s the separation from defenders…
houston we have a problem…
big trouble in little china
November 18th, 2025 at 5:18 pm
Sean Tucker had a nice game, but he’s not very good between the tackles. Thats why they didn’t score on the short field after the 1st interception.
For some reason, they are hell bent on taking touches away from White, even though he rarely ever has a negative run. Is Tucker more explosive in the open field, yes, but in traffic, in the redzone, I trust White more.
The last two years White was one of the most dangerous recieving backs in the NFL, now he barely sees any targets in the passing game. Make it make sense, especially considering our WR depth chart right now.
November 18th, 2025 at 5:36 pm
Calm down girls a lot of season left
November 18th, 2025 at 5:49 pm
Adam from NY , collapsing ??? We are still -850 to win division ,,,, if you believe we are collapsing you can get good money on the Panthers to win division
November 18th, 2025 at 5:57 pm
Everyone runs on the Bills if they want to run. Atlanta put up 200 yards on them, the Dolphins put up 200 yards on them, and the Bucs put up 200 yards on them.
Lets see how the Dolphins and Falcons followed up those dominate running games vs the Bills (this is legit, I have no idea, only looking up the numbers now).
The Falcons put up 210 yards vs Bills in week 5, then followed it up with 63 yards in week 6 vs the 49ers, who are currently ranked 12th vs the run.
The Dolphins put up 197 yards vs the Bills in week 9, then followed it up with 169 yards vs the Redskins, who are ranked 27th in rush defense.
The Rams rush defense is ranked 11th (right behind Tampa who is 10th).
I got a feeling we’ll likely split the difference and have around 110 yards rushing. However if Bucky is back and full speed, then that might change things, but I highly doubt the Bucs RBs are going to be running through huge gaping holes like they did for most of Sunday.
November 18th, 2025 at 6:00 pm
We’re depleted and I don’t see us getting this Def on track enough to win against good teams..we can only aspire to nfc south Champs and 1 and done playoffs unless we get a favorable match up..even then it’ll be pointless
November 18th, 2025 at 6:04 pm
Just for fun…
Here’s some ammo for the anti-PFF crowd…
Bucs special teams grades by week…
Vs Falcons – 76.1
Vs Texans – 59.5
Vs Jets – 62.5
Vs Eagles – 53.0
Vs Seahawks – 60.9
vs 49ers – 60.1
Vs Lions – 58.8
Vs Saints – 83.8
Vs Pats – 55.1
Vs Bills – 64.9
That’s right folks – the Bucs special teams had their 3rd best game of the year vs the Bills!

Fake news.
The Bucs defense dominated the Lions, played really well vs the Pats, Eagles and 49ers (well injured 49ers anyways).
The issue is 100% scheme related, and Bowles going into turtle mode if anything goes wrong. So Dean gets hurt early, and Bowles throws out everything that had been working the previous weeks, and goes into his shell, his super soft zone shell, and we know how that always turns out.
So basically it’s going to come down to Dean’s health, since if he’s not playing, Bowles will just sit back in his garbage zone and let teams move the ball at will. If Dean is out vs the Rams, take the over on whatever line they set for Stafford. Easy money.
November 18th, 2025 at 6:49 pm
Unless a miracle happens, I don’t see Baker signing an extension with the Bucs. I see Baker in L.A. where he will be relevant. He will be very well paid and the subject of a great deal of national exposure. His brand will achieve levels it could not possibly achieve in Tampa. I was ecstatic when he signed here and I will be happy for him when he signs there. The Glazers blew it and I’m not sure they even care.
November 18th, 2025 at 7:06 pm
Good thing he’s signed through next year!
November 18th, 2025 at 7:13 pm
If Baker said “let me go” a deal would be made. The silence from the Bucs is deafening. If I can see this they can see this. This is a Hugh Culverhouse level screw up.
November 18th, 2025 at 7:22 pm
In some ways and after 50 years and while experiencing the 50th anniversary it is comforting to know that the ownership of this franchise is still capable of such a monumental screw up. This dwarfs the Bo Jackson fiasco. Let’s see the Glazers pull a rabbit out of their arse this time. I will be the first to eat humble crow pie if they do.
November 18th, 2025 at 7:38 pm
Tyler Higbee the Rams tight end is extended family to me. I would love to see him play 1 or 2 more years and catch a TD pass from Baker.
November 18th, 2025 at 8:24 pm
Does anyone think Baker will want to stay in Tampa under the current circumstances ?
Let’s say the Bucs say “Baker you can have anything and any coach you want.”
Would Baker be OK with bringing in a totally new untested regime or would he rather sign with Sean McVay ?
My guess is he would rather play with McVay. He already has. Where would a NFL QB who needs to recoup some lost/stolen income rather play Tampa or L.A. ?
Baker is surely upset by the way things turned out this year but he still has several good years left and options.

Lets see… he has a really good offensive line, three top NFL WRs, and a stud RB – and it’s the only place where Baker has ever played at a sustained high level.
But yeah, I’m sure he wants to go back to the Browns. LOL!
Man, you Baker Boi(s) and your dumb narratives where everything is about Baker. Ugh. If Baker ever does leave the good news is that all of you will leave with him since there isn’t one of you that is a Bucs fan.
