GM Jason Licht Talks Return Of Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan

November 23rd, 2025

Uplifting words from Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht tonight.

Licht visited the Buccaneers Radio Network and talked about how great receiver Chris Godwin has looked in practice. Godwin will play tonight and likely will be on a “pitch count” against the Rams, Licht said.

Licht also said receivers Mike Evans (broken clavicle) and Jalen McMillan (broken neck bones) are on track to return this season. He did not offer potential dates or timelines. But Licht was very upbeat about them.

The GM also said starting left guard Ben Bredeson (hamstring) and Bucky Irving (ankle/shoulder/personal) will be back, too. Licht said Irving could be as early next Sunday.

Joe was damn excited to hear about receiver cavalry on the way and very intrigued by the Godwin practice performance evaluation (more on that after the game). The Bucs have a chance to be a wickedly dangerous playoff team.

Just get through this game with no new major injuries, and then things should really start looking up.

  2. BigZ Says:

Keep Bake safe. Young , Verse and Landman are dangerous.
Enough about who’s returning until they are back.

  3. Ben the GA Buc Says:

Win this game and I’ll feel a lot better about the rest of the season.

  4. SBucs13 Says:

I don’t believe anything Jason says because Jason is so full of sh*t. Bloodbath.

  5. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Did he say anything about getting rid of garbage, scam master, Todd Bowles?

  6. BucsBeast Says:

Not with This Swiss cheese Defense

  7. stucbuc Says:

Rest them and have them heal for next season. What’s the point…even Jason licht didn’t believe in adding anyone in free agency for this season

  8. FortMyersDave Says:

The defense is going to make it hard for the Bucs to win another game, let alone win the division and try to beat Seattle, Detroit or San Fran in a wild card game. Bowles D is simple getting boat-raced as I type, embarrassing themselves on national TV. I am glad the O is getting healthy but it might be too little, too late.

  9. Winny Testaverde Says:

Bucs in no man’s land now…”stars” are old or on the downside, Licht has a lifetime contract for some reason…Bowles has survived ( barely ) because of a weak division and late season heroics by Brady and then Baker. Yuck(s).

Sounded a whole lot more like, a BUNCHA NUTHIN. Just tryin’ ta offer up some kind of hope for the upcoming ONSLAUGHT the Rams were boutta PUT OWN ‘EM. 💯 that is ALL is was. Hell, there are only 6-games LEFT. You don’t say all that garbage, while in the SAME BREATH, offer up ZERO to do with any actual legit ‘timeline’ whatsoever. So, PLEASE. Come on.

Should’ve offered Liam Coem headcoach money to be OC. doesnt
seem like Grizz is working out. We can’t put points on the board

  12. Donald G Says:

I mean I love my Bucs. Been there since day 1 YES DAY1 I cant say anything else I’m so disappointed Light you should have helped us at the deadline. I am so disappointed I know the injuries hurt But you could’ve helped

  13. Donald G Says:

I wish I had a can of Ravioli that would help

  14. LFG Bucs Says:

As long as Bowles is the coach this team will only be wicked at losing.

  15. MelvinJunior Says:

NO. Should’ve offered him THE JOB. Period. What the hell makes you EVEN THINK that HE would ‘settle for’ being just an OC, when HE friggin’ got a HC Job!? Now, that’s just crazy talk. The Bucs FO had to pull-the-trigger, and that decision was an EASY one… Should’ve already had their minds made up on that one, before the season was even over. 💯 it was a no-brainer.

Saw the game live tonight. Todd Bowles gave this game away with his pathetic 4th down attempt in the first half. Coaching scared, completely outmatched by McVay. This franchise failing to chase down Mike Vrabel when he was available will be the sliding doors moment for this generation of Bucs. This is a very capable group that continues to be let down by bad leadership. That 4th down call is equivalent to a kid playing madden. Completely inexcusable.

  17. CptnBuccet Says:

Went to SoFi tonight. The 4th and 2 call on their OWN 28 is Brandon Staley dumb. It’s a fireable offense. It’s a kid playing madden in their basement. COACHING MALPRACTICE. Not getting Mike Vrabel while available is potentially the biggest miss this franchise will ever have. This group of Bucs is special and it’s being wasted. Bowles knew he couldn’t beat McVay. He never will. Coaching matters and ours STINKS.

  18. Newbie Says:

    Won’t matter. Defense stinks.

  19. Ant Says:

We should just stay run heavy not like we cant move the ball. 2 tight end set but with culp instead of durham would set up play action more. Idk what they got against culp would free up alot even keep him in there un run plays to keep the defense guessing. This isnt hard

  20. Jeremy Says:

It doesn’t matter who comes back on offense if the defense continues to play like this. We just keep getting our hopes up for nothing.
