“Get Us To High-Stakes Games”
November 3rd, 2025
Should Bucs fans be concerned about the rapidly growing Todd Bowles sapling in Charlotte?
The Bowles coaching tree is blossoming with the Panthers, for whom 2023 Bowles and Bucs offensive coordinator Dave Canales runs the show. Canales took over arguably the worst franchise in the NFL last season and just walked out of Green Bay with a 5-4 record and a three-point upset win.
Joe heard Bucs fans today talking about mowing down division-rival Carolina easily in Weeks 16 and 18. Hopefully, the Bucs have the division clinched by then but it’s unlikely a done deal when the Bucs head to Charlotte in Week 16.
Carolina still has a bye week remaining and two games against the slimy Saints, in addition to a rematch with the floundering Falcons, a team Carolina beat 30-0 earlier this season.
The Panthers stunned the NFL pundits yesterday with that 16-13 win at Green Bay.
Joe found the postgame locker room message from Canales interesting.
“Just dream with me a little bit. Get us to high stakes games and we will do it,” Canales pleaded.
That chatter wasn’t from the Bowles playbook. He keeps focus on one game at a time and wants discipline and process, not hopes and dreams.
If the Panthers can find their way to 7-7 when they face Tampa Bay, the Bucs would have to have an 11-3 record for the game to be meaningless. So it’s a reasonably safet bet the Panthers will get Canales that “high-stakes” game he’s seeking — Dec. 21 at Carolina.

lol canales is so sad. the dreamweaver.

Frankly I don’t care what other teams say or do, the only thing I can control is what I do and I think that’s the mentality Todd has sown with the Bucs. As long as they stay focused on what they do, and do it well, then they will be fine. They’ve gone through a lot so far this season and I’m sure that’s being said in the locker room.

Why do I always get pop up adds in chinese everytime I view a new article. Is Joe writing these articles from China or Pasco county? lol.
As far as Canales, he is the least of the Bucs worries. The next three games could be make or break for the Bucs. Bucs never beat the Rams and both Maye and Allen will give this defense fits.
November 3rd, 2025 at 3:15 pm
Patriots 31 Buccaneers 23, Buffalo 37 Buccaneers 20, LA Rams 34 Buccaneers 27
Next 3 games

Panthers have real difficulty putting up points against good disciplined defenses , so not concerned and actually happy Bucs still have two games against Carolina.

The question was : “Should Bucs fans be concerned about the rapidly growing Todd Bowles sapling in Charlotte?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The answer is, as always,….. YES ….., yes we should be concerned. No self respecting “Fanatic” should sleep well till we beat them head to head………..twice!
Fix the Sieve that pretends to be an O-line while keeping foot on gas on defense, and keep Magoo from driving the bus and Bucs should be ok.
Hey Down Under-Your Boss just called and wants you Down Under his desk again……..
Pats were exposed against ATL, only Raheem got in the way,,, Bills game will be tough but they are best running and we stop the Run ,, Rams we will see ,,, Carolina is only good at Running ,, we stop the run (except for a few big runs this year),,,,, so I’m not sure if we go 2-1 or 1-2 the next 3 but it won’t be 0-3
November 3rd, 2025 at 3:31 pm
The Panthers going to Lambeau and winning. The Panthers suck. Wait. They are 4-4. Give Canales credit. He’s done a good job. He’s a good guy and all but he and his team are the least of our worries in the league this year. The best chance for Carolina to beat us is if it’s a meaningless game. Even then they run the ball and anybody knows Bowles won’t let them do that. Our division is still a weak one this year. But we’ve got a pretty strong league.
Down Blunder no doubt hired by the opposition a la protesters and parade marchers. Down Blunder embarrassing the great continent of Australia by faux association.
Most if not all divisional games are a battle…last year Anthony Nelson stripped victory from defeat in Charlotte.
Can-do Canales talked many o’ ladies outta their drawers per his book…so he’s a slick salesman.
Green Bay lost to Cleveland, survived Arizona and laid an egg at home vs an impotent Bryce Young…so let’s give that game some context.
6-2 is more than a respectable record.
However, the season begins anew next week. How they handle that tough stretch of games following the bye will be telling. A patchwork OL a depleted WR corps a beat up Baker Mayfield and a first year OC that finds himself swimming against the tide. The defense finished the first part of the season on a strong note. Can that same defense now establish consistency. For the first time in a long time the defense will be expected to do the heavy lifting.
Panthers are 5-4 Kenton . Throttle back on the Happy Hour.
Joe says, “So it’s a reasonably safe bet the Panthers will get Canales that “high-stakes” game he’s seeking — Dec. 21 at Carolina.” See, when I read that quote, I’m thinking he’s talking about the playoffs. The only way he gets to the playoffs is as a wild card, and that’s a long-shot. I’m sticking with my 12-5 prediction for the 2025 Bucs. Just have to take care of business one week at a time, and that is from the Todd Bowles playbook!
November 3rd, 2025 at 3:54 pm
The Panthers are becoming a great team, until they meet up with our Buccaneers!! Hard to say what happens, maybe the Bucs stop the run, or maybe we have an explosive offense. But I believe Bucs win both of the matchups against the Panthers!!
Go Bucs !!
November 3rd, 2025 at 3:58 pm
Down under = troll under the bridge
All three of those teams are fully beatable.
There are no juggernauts in the NFL in 2025.
There are scrubs like the Jets, Dolphins and Titans but I would not overlooked any team in the NFL this season. Pute parity in action.
The Dodgers just won the world series yet again with the highest payroll in baseball. I don’t watch baseball.
November 3rd, 2025 at 3:59 pm
We beat them 48-14 10 months ago. I reckon they’ve improved since.
November 3rd, 2025 at 4:02 pm
Matt LaFluer is overrated!!!!!!!
GO BUCS!!!!
November 3rd, 2025 at 4:05 pm
Canales remembered the game plan from the December 2023 game in Green Bay when the Bucs took it to the Packers and Mayfield had the perfect QBR. The sharp money was actually on the Panthers money line yesterday. I wouldn’t count on the Panthers replicating that against other good teams on the road.
November 3rd, 2025 at 4:28 pm
Canales always seemed to me like more of a head coach than a coordinator. He’s pretty sharp and seems like a great manager. Get him a good staff and he will be a tough out.
November 3rd, 2025 at 4:36 pm
You guys saying all Carolina does is run the ball have a short memory.
You don’t think Canales knows this? Remember how he shredded the Packers in GB a couple years ago with Baker? That’s pretty much what he did to us last season when Thielen went for 120 and 2 TDs.
I’m not scared of Carolina by any means but to chalk up a couple Ws already is silly. I will be very interested to see how they fare in game 2 vs Falcons in Atlanta.
November 3rd, 2025 at 4:53 pm
The real question is, what sites have you been, um, browsing? 😳🙂
November 3rd, 2025 at 6:12 pm
LOL, Joe!
November 3rd, 2025 at 6:30 pm
Just makes it more fun. I thought Canales would be a bust by now. Two teams beating up on the Saints and Falcons. Love it.
BTW
Don’t forget about Liam “D-U-V-A-L” Cohen? Letting his kicker launch it from 68! That was crazy.
November 3rd, 2025 at 6:55 pm
Joe. no sites other than jbf, pr, and youtube. Nothing that would result in chinese ads with traditional Chinese writing.. lol.
November 3rd, 2025 at 6:59 pm
Down Under is Neil Cooter.He was dumb enough to post the exact same post within 1 min of each other under both names. He has changed names several times. He has been trolling for a few months.
November 3rd, 2025 at 7:09 pm
Green Bay is a better team than Carolina, in my book.
We can’t take Carolina for granted. Or Atlanta for that matter.
If we let our foot off the gas in either of those games, we’re hosed.
Carolina was arguably the worst team in the league last year. They still have a ways to go, but we’d be crazy to think those two games will be cake-walks.
November 3rd, 2025 at 7:18 pm
Kenton Smith…you are mistaken!! The Panthers are not 4-4. The beat the Packers yesterday and are now 5-4! Just saying…. IMHO no division games are given Ws!! They are all tough!!
Play One game a time!! LFG!!!!
