Don’t Blame Injuries

The absence of Mike Evans, Calijah Kancey, Ben Bredeson, Cody Mauch, Bucky Irving, Haason Reddick, Calijah Kancey and Jamel Dean did not make the Bucs a completely non-competitive football team tonight in Los Angeles.
Joe doesn’t want to hear any chatter like that.
Yes, those are quality players, but them being on the bench does not explain away the Bucs roster and coaching staff failing to show up for the game against the Rams.
This was a massive game for NFC playoff positioning and it was primetime. Where was the pride in the roster?
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles told local media on Wednesday that his defense had a “stinker” in Buffalo allowing 44 points. And somehow it got worse tonight. Only the Rams taking their foot off the gas after 31 first-half points saved the Bucs from Los Angeles hitting at least the 44 mark the Bucs endured a week ago.
There’s an issue with this roster and/or a serious disconnect with the Bucs’ coaching staff.
The roll-over-and-die shown tonight by the Bucs was inexcusable.
Joe warned fans last week that something was off in the postgame locker room a week ago. Joe’s instincts were spot on. Unfortunately.

Well it doesn’t matter if the team was 11-0 going into this game, they were going to get blown out. This game is just what it is – they always lose this game in this situation. Always. Every time. Can make some money betting against the Bucs in a mid-season prime time game on the west coast.

Johnny. Baker is out maybe for season. There is a 1% chance of winning the division. Teddy isn’t winning this team any games. Why they dumped Trask for this bum was always beyond me. Literally made no sense at all and cost us J Mac and now the season to boot. Bowles MUST GO!

Glazers let Dungy go and he had a more successful winning record. Bowles is below that bar and needs to go. His coaching and staff may be liked but they aren’t getting the job done. If Baker is out 3 games or more and we don’t make the playoffs, it’s time to fire Bowles. He isn’t the guy. Injuries aren’t an excuse.

They aren’t winning vs Falcons in prime time. We see how Bowles does either those. We won’t beat Carolina twice. Lucky to win 1. I don’t see us winning vs Arizona either. That’s 3 or 4 losses right there. 8-9 at best and that’s not going to win the division.

Well to be fair, so did all the Baker Boi(s) who are so incredibly insecure they want the worst backup possible so they’re never a threat to Baker.
I wanted Trask as the backup, but as the backup, not starting – seemingly something people don’t ever seem to understand. But if Bridgewater is starting multiple games, then basically the season really is over, unless the NFC South somehow keeps the Bucs in it and they can win by going 8-9 again.

The injuries didn’t matter?
If not having talented players doesn’t matter- then why sign anybody. Let’s just hire a bunch of average guys- who have a lot of pride.
Cause having pride is what matters?
No. No.
Football is easy. Your guy has to be able to beat the guy playing against him on the other team. If enough of your guys can beat their guys- then you win.
Our best guys aren’t playing. The guys that are playing- aren’t as good as the guys they are playing against.
I said last week that we had no chance to win this game.
But I thought we could win out the rest of our schedule.
But if Mayfield is out, we aren’t beating anyone.
Our defense sucks. And Bridgewater isn’t beating anyone with a bunch of rookie wide receivers, and scrub guards.
If Msyfield is hurt- I’m gonna start getting hyped for the draft- cause this team just became a dead horse

The division comes down to the two games vs Carolina. We need to split with them.
Tampa should consider phone calls to Mike Mcarthy, OC on Seattle Staff, OC on Rams Staff, OC on Indys Staff.
You cannot win in this league with a DC as a coach especially when your OCs are getting poached every year.

Drama queens… lets look at the Bucs 5 loses…
Are the injured Bucs better than…
Eagles = no
Lions = no
Patriots = no
Bills = no
Rams = no
You cupcakes are acting like the Bucs are losing games they’re supposed to win. None of those games are these injured Bucs supposed to win.
So come down ladies, save your panic for next week – if the Bucs lose that game, then it’s OK to have a meltdown.
But right now, the Bucs aren’t beating any of those teams, not without more guys back.

Licht and Bowles are a bad combination because their most glaring weakness is they both over rate players already in their building.

This way of drafting guys that aren’t Alphas is the issue. There’s no leader on the defense. I love Lavonte but he is not the type of leader these young guys need. No one seems pissed off when things go wrong. The entire team is like that except for Baker from what I can see.
Joe please ask why they’re never prepared in prime time games, after a bye and why ever year since Bowels has been head coach they go on a 3-4 game losing streak mid season. There needs to be a shake up somewhere. I’d love to see someone else call the defense. And for the love of God tell Griz that maybe he should fake the screen and have someone go upfield for a long pass. There is absolutely nothing good about this team right now. Teddy 2gloves looks like his feet are stuck in cement and my 16yr old son throws with more velocity than him.

The only thing going for the Bucs is that carolina plays the Niners tomorrow night and will likely lose but how much you bet that Carolina upsets the Rams next week? Count on it, Canales will get somethings done against the Rams that Bowles could never do. The Bucs will be underdogs to the Cards without Baker. The the Saints? Well they migh win that but then Cousins will beat them on TNF for Atlanta’s 5th and final win for their season, that puts Tampa at 7-7, and we can all guess how they will do vs Carolina…… . Good chance the ATL and the Bucs might be going after the same HC prospects this January, maybe the Glazers should start hammering the phones, you know McKay has already started his coaching search in the ATL…..

Certainly can’t blame injuries for what is happening on defense.
I didn’t feel like giving Bowles a pass for injuries last season but tough to argue. I was giving Grizzard a pass but he’s been bad. Baker has also sucked but this is a poorly coached team. Doesn’t seem like Grizz can get the O fired up anywhere near what Coen and Canales could.
With the locker room vibes Joe is talking about, this season might be about to get ugly. So much promise in July… I truly hope the Bucs flip the switch and win out but this one seems different and if no Baker … Bowles gone, maybe Evans and David gone. Sad end of an era when I thought we were SB contenders.

He makes insanely dumb decisions – and started the game exactly as you expect a gutless coward to start a game – punting from the opponents 42 yard line in a game that you know the other team is going to score a ton of points. Kickers are routinely making 60 yard FGs now, and you know the Rams are going to score points, you know the defense isn’t going to get a stop… and yet he still punts the ball, which of course, as any casual fan knows, the defense will absolutely not get a stop, and sure enough, 3 plays later they’re past the spot where the ball was punted on the way to get a TD.
Then later, he passes up FGs when the offense isn’t doing anything.
That’s Bowles, he’s an idiot. Zero feel for the game.

We seen this same crap from all defensive minded coaches. Tony dungy, arms folded straight faced, at least he did have a great defense and did win games, and people like to say “gruden took dungys team to the Superbowl”. Well why couldn’t dungy take his own team to the super bowl? Lovie smith, terrible as hell also. On sidelines straight face with arms folded. Now Todd bowles, terrible, on sidelines straight faced with arms folded. Wtf is up with these defensive coaches with no damn life? Everyone of them that we had the team took on their same demeanor. At least with jon and Bruce, they had fire and took us to the Superbowl. Owners have seen this too many times and they know where it’s going, and they know what they need to do.

See this is what makes Todd Bowles a coach of distinction.
He’s just not done a bad job of coaching this team. He has actually taken it one step further.
He has destroyed the talent on this team.
