Bucs Playoff Percentages

November 6th, 2025

Calculator crowd explains.

If you believe the numberscrunchers at BSPN, the Bucs would have to have a monumental collapse to not make the playoffs.

Earning a first-round bye is another matter.

Per BSPN, the Bucs have a 92 percent chance of making the playoffs and an 87 percent chance of winning the division. That’s the second-best in the NFC trailing only the Eagles. And while that’s good news, the calculator crowd at the four-letter which is holding football fans hostage in a racketeering stunt with Google, is not so high on the Bucs earning a first-round bye.

To get a first-round bye, the Bucs’ percentages, per BSPN, drop like a rock to 15 percent. No explanation is given but it appears BSPN’s stat nerds believe the myriad of injuries to keep players will catch up with the team in the final nine games of the season.

That may be why The Athletic isn’t jumping through hoops over the Bucs. That outfit projects the Bucs to finish 11-6, meaning the Bucs will barely keep their heads above water in the final nine games with a 5-4 mark.

The Athletic believes the Bucs will win the NFC South but won’t get a bye. They will be the fourth seed.

Like BSPN, The Athletic is very high on the Bucs making the playoffs and winning the division, but less optimistic about earning a bye.

Of course, Joe would love to see the Bucs earn a bye. But, the Bucs took the hard path to win a Super Bowl in 2020, so Joe’s not going to lose too much sleep if the Bucs win the division but don’t get a bye.

also, the eagles have the head-to-head tie breaker, if it comes down to us and them. but their schedule is much harder than ours, here on out. BSPN and most media around the league just have a boner for certain teams and coaches and the Bucs consistently don’t get the respect they deserve. got a lotta hope we come out of the bye strong and shut up some talking heads.

Our next 3 games could make or break the season – need to keep momentum going and ideally get a few players back

  3. PSL Bob Says:

If we can come out of the next 3 games at 8-3, we’ll be just fine. Godwin, Irving, McMillan, and Goedeke are going to start trickling back into the lineup and the last 6 games of the season are winnable games. The team Just needs to gut it out and get a couple of wins over these next 3 weeks.

    They will backpeddle.

i only see 2 easy games left saints and dolphins. even dolphins can pull off an upset like they did vs raheem the dream

I also believe that’s exactly what is going to happen. Would LOVE to be proven wrong on that. McMillian is NOT coming back this season. IF IF IF Godwin comes back at some point before the end of the season he’ll be totally insignificant just like he was when he first came back. Since the Bucs love to gaslight everybody on injury status we wait and wait until Goedeke and Bucky come back. Those 2 guys are critical to our success.

I think the Bucs chance for the bye went bye bye when they didn’t go out and get some help for their injury depleted team!
    Prove me wrong Bucs!

  8. Allen Lofton Says:

The difference between the 2020 and 2025 teams is significant. Thei 2020 receiving core is night and day with 3 to 4 Hall of Fame players vs. Mike Evans who is currently on Injured status.

That’s way most sports writers are not high on Bucs making it to the Super Bowl

McMillan isn’t coming back this year

BUCS will finish #2 seed with 12 or more wins!!!!!

    book it!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  11. Mort Says:

The Bucs won’t get the bye because they lost tiebreaker games to the lions and eagles. It’s really that simple. They’d need free and clear the best record and I just don’t see that happening. Too many injuries to overcome.
