Unflappable Bucs

October 8th, 2025

Sterling Shepard speaks out.

There’s a very dangerous calm at One Buc Palace.

Veteran receiver Sterling Shepard is in his 10th season and second with Tampa Bay. He was clutch last year but had a lot of dumb penalties. This year, Shepard has been sharp and playing smart.

He’s another weapon on a long list of Bucs weapons.

Shepard has seen a lot of football and explained to SiriusXM NFL Radio yesterday how all the experience the 2025 Bucs have racked up in late-game pressure situations will prove critical as the season progresses. He described an offense that currently is confident and poised to the extreme.

“I mean, just the group of guys that we have is we all look at each other and we’re like, ‘man, we’re gonna go down and make something happen,’ Shepard said. Like it’s a crucial situation and we all get the magnitude of it, but to look at everybody and see no panic or no, like, ‘oh, we we’ve gotta get this done.’ No, everybody’s just like super calm, cool and collected and we go get the job done. We find a way.”

The Bucs offense should be calm and confident in pressure situations. They’ve got enough talent on the field to score on anyone.

And it’s pretty clear already that the new offensive coordinator is damn good in those spots, as well.

I will admit, I wanted this dude gone after last year. I was dead wrong and glad I wasn’t making roster decisions. This dude brings so much juice and is a savvy veteran our young Bucs can learn from. Keep it up Shep!!

Such a fun team to watch!
Best QB in the league- and so many good players on offense.
If we could just get the defense to stop people- this would feel like a Super Bowl run!
    Kind of does anyway.

  4. Usfbucs Says:

Once we get people back from injuries the offense is going to be a monster. The defense needs an infusion via trade to get to the same level though.

    1 game at a time!!!!

    4-1!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

Gotta start a grass roots effort to trade for Trey Hendrickson. It might take a 3rd & a 5th ( as the Bengals will possibly get a 3rd comp. pick when he leaves next year). Hendrickson is a problem…I remember him from his Saints days/daze wreaking havoc. He’d be a high priced rental…but worth it. Unless the Bengals think Joe Flacco is going to resurrect their season.

Now to get the defense to have that mentality… hopefully once we get guys back healthy we’ll see an improvement with D.

  8. Bartow Buc Says:

Being calm is required as the Buccaneers move closer to the San Francisco game. They’ve had our number recently and it’s time the Bucs teach them a lesson or two about how to win !!

    Go Bucs !! Beat the 49ers !!

  9. Lt. Dan Says:

Gotta find a way to keep Grizz. His future is bright. Give him a pay raise and tab him as the next HC when Bowles taps out?

  10. Aqualung Says:

Too bad the Defense can’t choke out opponents at the end of a game. In fact the defense is an accelerant for opposing offenses in the last two minutes. Spare me Logan Hall’s helmet. Todd needs a fluke for the defense to be credited with a crucial play.

  11. Criggz Says:

Sterling Shep as your #3/#4 option on a team, I mean c’mon man. We have an embarrassment of riches even with M1k3, Bucky and Jalen out. LICHT IS RIGHT.

  12. mj Says:

team full of play makers at every position except st… shep is one of them play makers

  13. Billy Bucco Says:

Aqua for the moron win yet again.
Trevor fell down and beat the Chiefs.
Darnold was lucky on his TD pass with that pressure.

All you see is a turd because you are a miserable Human Being.
    What a joke!!

I’ve followed the Bucs for so long, I recall watching the beleaguered offense gradually start to improve under Koetter. Man, did I get frustrated when he would not open up his offense. I’m just a fan who does not know the Xs and Os like some do on here. This offense is something else. I hope it is not a mirage, that Grizzard is realizing the talent he’s coaching. I really feel this next game is in the bag. 5-1, Bucs!!

I was not excited about Sterling Shephard taking a roster spot this year. His bone headed mistakes last year were a disqualifier for me. I am happy to be wrong. He has been really solid this year. Go Bucs!

  17. Saskbucs Says:

Yeah I like this version of Shepard a lot better.

He was too much last year with the yapping on field and penalties. Glad he has it dialed back and dialed in this season.
