Todd Bowles Passes Bruce Arians On Bucs Coaching Wins List

October 12th, 2025

Regular season Bucs win No. 32 for Todd Bowles went in the books this evening as Tampa Bay topped the 49ers by 11 points, 30-19.

The “W” pushed Bowles into fourth place when it comes to regular season wins in Bucs franchise history.

Jon Gruden leads with 57 wins. Tony “Father” Dungy has 54. And John McKay ranks third with 44 wins. All those guys are in the Buccaneers Ring of Honor.

Tonight, Bowles passed his predecessor Bucco Bruce Arians (31 wins).

Bowles’ overall regular season record is 32-25 for a winning percentage of .561. That’s a virtual tie with Dungy (.563).

Yes, Joe realizes there’s a sect of Bucs fans that thinks Bowles is a poor head coach.

    5-1

    GO BUCS

  2. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    People gotta admit,

This coaching staff gets an A++++ for winning games with all the injuries the Bucs had to deal with for the past 6 weeks

  3. SenileSenior Says:

Yep. Yep. Time will tell Todd’s complete story. Just one Super Bowl would seal the deal. Meanwhile, on to Detroit!

    Go Bucs!!

  4. ElioT Says:

JBF regulates comments like a couple of cowards.
Yes, terrified of comments here. Many hundreds don’t make the cut every day. –Joe

  5. NaplesBucsFan Says:

SNF halftime report from Florio saying Bucs think Egbuka injury is not serious, pending an MRI

  6. Cybersecurity_intern Says:

Dont think is JBF is their crapy system.

  7. Nicholas Carlson Says:

    It’s beautiful to see

  8. NaplesBucsFan Says:

IF, we pull off the win in Detroit next week with all these injuries injuries, that will go a long way to confidence and respect as legit contenders this year. I smell
Something special about this team, let’s hope it continues to the bye and hopefully we get some reinforcements back

  9. Godlovesbucs Says:

I think he is a great head coach.

    I think he is a poor D.C.

With that said, it really doesn’t matter what I think. It’s up to the organization. And ultimately they are playing great with a ton of injuries! Gotta say they are doing something right, and that usually starts with the head coach

  10. Dewey Selmon Says:

    He should fire the DC

  11. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Let’s go Chiefs, beat the Kitties!!!!

  12. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

Yeah, watching the Chiefs and hoping they win feels kind of gross

  13. FlumundaCheese Says:

All of those guys made it to at least NFC championship games. Bowles hasn’t.

  14. Rjscheapseats Says:

Since the Brady fans are no longer here it is safe to ask if Baker is playing better than Brady did in Tampa. No Baker is not as good as Brady over his career. But if you limit yourself to just this year versus’20 or ’21 is Baker better

    He might be.

That first down run was magic

  15. Bosch Says:

He mat be an average head coach. He is a very poor defensive coordinator.

  16. Kenton Smith Says:

Todd Bowles and Jason Licht and Baker Mayfield haven’t even gotten started. Start looking at the numbers 3 years from now. All 3 of these guys are in the right place at the right time. Clear as the nose on my face. Win enough and they’ll be calling Tampa America’s Team!

  17. D-Rome Says:

Todd Bowles is 3rd in terms of win percentage for Bucs head coaches, ahead of Gruden. If the Bucs win 12 games this year that will move him past Dungy.

  18. AMI_Chris Says:

Arians still one game ahead in the most important stat…

  19. Eric Says:

His defense bends and bends but at the most critical times they make the stops. It’s ingenious the way he does it.

  20. firethecannons Says:

Glazers like the stability no doubt, thought Todd Bowles did well today adjusting his defense as needed. Happy to see 2 pics as well.

  21. Herbiebuc Says:

    Detroit lost we #1 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

  22. Aqualung Says:

Wish Lions had won. Pissed off in their crib. Yikes.

  23. LouisFriend Says:

I think there are some commenters around here and elsewhere who in the spirit of honesty should just admit they dislike a black man leading the Bucs. Just come clean and get it out there. Yeah, you might be a racist, but at least you won’t be a liar as well.

Not to mention all the nonsense you spout about Bowles can be properly categorized for what it really is.

    Go Bucs

  24. unbelievable Says:

1st place in the NFC after 6 weeks, despite a literally insane amount of injuries to starters.

    Insanity.

    This team is special. LFG!

  25. Dtownva Says:

LouisFriend. Shhhhush. You’re not supposed to talk about the elephant in the room.

  26. Love-spiral Says:

    Great coaching Bowles!

Your team always shows up to play.

  27. August 1976 Buc Says:

Todd Bowles has proven to be a good Head coach and he is a decent man. Cant say great yet, his winning percentage is just above average. Todd’s story is still being written. We will see were he stands when his career is done.

  28. heyjude Says:

Yes, Todd finally gets his dues. He is one of the best. The team love and respect him.

Tony Romo kept mentioning how much they all admire Todd and how good he is.

  29. Vanessa Anne Says:

I have to give credit where credit is due, considering how critical I’ve been of him in the past.

Todd Bowles has steadily increased his W-L record every year. He’s worked with and through the salary cap issues we faced following the TB12 years. His run defense consistently ranks in the top 10. (Yes, the pass defense needs a lot of work.) And he’s kept our win record above .500 despite the injury bug that’s plagued us for the past couple of years.

I agree he’s in a bit over his head doing double duty as HC and DC, but the more I think about it, the more I lean against bringing in a DC. Very simply, that would change the complexion of our D and how it plays, and possibly the culture of the team. Hmmn… we’re winning. Not every game, but our W-L record goes up every year, and our players clearly have his back.

Maybe leave well enough alone on that one.

Kudos to him for moving up on the Head Coach W-L Record list.

  30. Permanently Moderated Says:

It is not necessary to pull the race card unless you have proof. You don’t, so it would be appreciated if you didn’t. I know it’s hard for some people to understand, but not everything is tied to someone’s ethnicity.

  31. St.Pete Salty Buc Says:

Louis and Dtown y’all fellas are very intelligent. Racist don’t devote time and $ into a sport that’s 80% black. Lol find a new angle to feel sorry for yourselves.
