Rachaad White Always Happy To Run Behind Tristan Wirfs
October 5th, 2025
Rachaad White tries to avoid Seattle defenders Ty Okada and Uchenna Nwosu on Sunday.
What is it about the Seahawks that brings out Bucs running back Rachaad White’s love of stiff-arming folks into the 20th row?
White blasted a Seattle defender when the Bucs last played the Seahawks in Munich in 2022, in what may have been White’s best game as a runner.
Then today, he put a nasty stiff-arm on the goal line to a Seattle defender to score his first touchdown of the game.
In that same score, White was smart enough to run behind left tackle Tristan Wirfs. Most Bucs fans know Wirfs is an All-Pro. Today, he had a highlight reel. Wirfs blew through three Seattle defenders, rendering them useless as White ran left for six.
And White was sure happy Wirfs helped clear the timber.
“Wirfs, big guy,” White told Joe when he asked White about how Wirfs took three defenders out on the play.
“You run behind him, a lot of paths will be open. Coach [Josh Grizzard] called a heck of a play to get (Tristan) Wirfs out in space. He’s one of the most freakish athletes I’ve ever seen.
“Out in space, being able to pick up two guys, block them, and be able to move out in space and clear it out for you. You just go behind him and trust him.”
Joe always wondered why the Bucs don’t run behind Wirfs more often. Yeah, Joe gets that he’s better known as an elite pass blocker. But dang, it’s not like the guy is Oniel Cousins blocking on running plays.

He was a freakin beast today. I’m still so fired up about his late 3rd and 7 conversion and sliding to stay in bounds. Perfection in a huge spot

Rachaad White is running harder than ever. He has a great attitude. I’m glad he has turned into such a reliable RB.
Going to have to open up the checkbook for the guy if he keeps this up.

It was good seeing Chaad & Cade both getting it going today, these are our guys if we wanna far we need to find the time and opportunities to feed them.
Cade caught that little outlet pass on that late 3rd & 14 and took the YAC to move the chains, I damn near punched my tv

White got a bum rap when he started his career because of the god awful offensive line the team had.

We absolutely, positively must find a way to resign White…..I don’t care how good Bucky is….we need White also.
He is an outstanding back.

Game balls to Mayfield, Embuka, White, McLaughlin and Lavonte for the interception.

Oniel Cousins and Garret Woops Gilkey both before I started watching NFL in 2015. Yet I heard much about them over the years and none of it good. Licht has come a long way.

Sean Tucker’s stats today…
3 carries, 3 yards
3 catches, -4 yards
6 touches, -1 yards.
Can we please for the love of God stop hearing about Tucker, he’s third on the depth chart for a reason. If he’s not get insane blocking, or running up his stats on a Saints team that quit, he’s not special. He’s a basic north/south runner, nothing else.

^ He also sucks as a kick returner

Very unselfish player, willing to do whatever it takes to win. He is a very tactical player and on one play he looked at the defense, goes up to lineman and tells him who to block, and he stonewalled the other oncoming rusher.

After all the shoving and juvinile BS on the prior play? Glad they ran that play and dared the Seahawks stop White and Tristan. LOL
Go Bucs!

Rachaad, LaVonte, Tristan, Tykee, Chase, Meka, Baker, Tez, …, and so many more played with heart and soul yesterday. It was wonderful to see.
I think we fans would get bored if we didn’t have this type of game. Again, the other team was celebrating, and then here comes Baker and the team. Bucs win!

Gutsy Cardiac Bucs for sure! This fan will take it.

Sounds like irrational hate to me, just to have something to complain about lol now you want to stop hearing about a player and judge him based of 6 touches in one game. “Basic north/south runner” that doesn’t even MEAN anything.
