Interceptions Are On Josh Grizzard’s Mind
October 3rd, 2025
Bucs OC Josh Grizzard.
Seattle is playing good ball, especially the past three weeks.
In particular, the Seahawks’ defense is playing strong. Seattle is tied for second with the Bears with seven picks through four games (the Jags have nine!).
Yesterday, Bucs offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard was asked about battling a defense with a knack for picks.
“It’s definitely something when we put on the tape each week on how do we handle some of their game-wreckers from a defensive standpoint?” Grizzard said. “We’ve got to be great with our route conversions if they are into certain coverages. That way, we’re in the right spot for the quarterback, because they have some ball hawks back there.
“They do a really good job with it, and the D-line does a really good job of getting a pass rush, as well. So, we’ve got to be on top of that for sure.”
Knowing how the Bucs aren’t close to 100 percent on the offensive line (more so than they have been), Joe is thinking running the ball with Rachaad White might be the smart play.
Seattle has a strong defensive line. Pass blocking may be an issue. So going pass-happy seems like it would fall right in Seattle’s trap: a good pass rush and a dangerous secondary.

You cannot abandon the pass in this league. This is a team you need to throw some deep balls against and make them pay for being overly aggressive.

Just run Baker run.
October 3rd, 2025 at 9:16 am
Why can’t our defense play like that for a full game.
October 3rd, 2025 at 9:27 am
Grizz should call short throws to the backs and TE’s just to mess with Dink and Dunk Joe. 🙂

Crazy how Liam Coen found a good defensive coordinator in one off season while the Bucs have had constant
‘Mis communication’ in the secondary leaving WR’s WIDE OPEN
‘Slow starts” after a hot start
‘Undisciplined play” & Lack a killer instinct for the last 7 years under Todd

JimBobBuc, I’m with you bro. A heavy dose of Rachaad running the ball and short slants and screens to our RBs.

If Tucker gets 20 touches against Seattle, I guarantee a win.
If he gets 15 touches, we most-likely win.
If he gets <10 touches, we lose.

Im always pessimistic when it comes to the Bucs but I really see this game going badly. Especially on offense

Don’t you think if Tucker was as good as you say he would be starting. This is his third year they see him every day . Really I think Josh Williams will turn into a better back and he is really talented. Hope we see some of him . I mean with with our RB room I did not think he would make the team because we have not been carrying 4 backs but they saw his talent and they knew he could not even put him on the practice . Go Bucs beat Seattle

Hopefully, I wrong but it seems like 3-2 is in the future.
I’m open minded and ready to see the opposite.
Go Bucs!!!!

Can we open up the pass and run with a little jet sweeps (with Tez), bubble screens, and QB roll outs?? I am all for dink and dunk to open things up. JUST MOVE THE CHAINS!
October 3rd, 2025 at 11:21 am
This love for little Tez is completely unfounded. He is Jaelon Darden Jr.

Well run the damn ball then, coach.
Be more worried about the 67 points Seattle has allowed through 4 games.
Seattle has finished their first 4 games allowing 17 in their first two games, 13 week 3 and 20 this past week. That’s already something we’ve struggled to do against teams with varied differences in talent in the same span.
We’ll see what the gameplan is looking like this week, but I for one have strained faith in a guy who’ll call something gimmicky like a flea flicker, before he tries to work in play action.

*each of their first 2 games

This article gives me the chills and not the good kind. If we don’t start fast on defense and have another case of explosive diarrhea on ST, Baker might feel pressed to do too much, which he’s prone to do when he knows everything around him is falling into the mung.

Are Witherspoon and Love gonna play? If not, Egbuka and Godwin should do just fine out there.
October 3rd, 2025 at 2:03 pm
Hopefully our offense shows a little consistency this week.
Feed RW, get Chris more touches, don’t force feed EE.
Get all of our pass catchers involved early, including Tez.
We can’t lose the Turnover battle and we need some sustained drives.
Arizona almost beat these guys…. It’s like coaches say – everybody do their job and we’ll be ok.

So many negative Nancy’s here!
October 3rd, 2025 at 4:13 pm
poor starts by offense and defense causing to play from behind is helping cause ints. game planning needs to be better not the we do what we do mentality
October 3rd, 2025 at 4:52 pm
RW/ST in the backfield.
CO at TE supporting OL right side
TW/BB/GB left side
CG/EE/SS at WR.
Then Bake at QB.
That’s an all-star offense! Throw in a little play action on 1st down, and Seattle is wondering how they got in a hole this deep this fast!
Go Bucs!

Through in some tez as well, play him like they did locket quick slants, cut outs, and streak him down the field every now and then
October 3rd, 2025 at 6:20 pm
If we have very strong run blocking Tucker can make opponents suffer the most with his 4.3 speed. Williams might be slightly better running though traffic. Rachaad should be the 3rd down guy.
October 3rd, 2025 at 9:23 pm
Josh Williams more talented than Tucker and by the way.white is more talented than both and he has the stats to prove it. Tucker has been with team 3 years and done nothing had one game where he showed out. Where is the evidence that Tucker is so great.
October 3rd, 2025 at 10:37 pm
Seahawks are a good team and statistically have a very good defense and offense but who have they really dominated other than the Saints? IMO we have played the harder schedule so far against defenses as good as or better than theirs and we are 3-1 .This is going to be a tough game because it’s on the road and we have a crazy number of injuries but I think we still have a 50/50 chance to win this game. I just hope we come out of it without any more injuries.

If a run is perfectly blocked Tucker can take the ball to the house. Our other RB’s will get chased down by safeties/secondary. Im talking about perfectly blocked run plays. We have a lot more of those with our whole starting O-line in. Attention to detail is key. Blocking for Tucker is usually very bad which is stupid because we have WAY MORE TO GAIN if we spring him!
