Firesale May Have Been Sparked In Miami
October 31st, 2025Prior to today, Dolphins shot-caller Chris Grier, truly one of the more awful general managers in the NFL, had all but said his players were not up for sale before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline as the Dolphins plunged into the NFL drek.
(Yet they still pounded BSPN’s favorite NFC South team, the Dixie Chicks. LOL)
Well, that philosophy may have abruptly flipped today.
Just hours after the Dolphins were (again) humiliated on national TV, Grier and Dolphins strongman Stephen Ross agreed to “mutually part ways.”
Read: Don’t let the door hit you in the arse.
This came about six years too late. It was Grier who decided in 2020 to draft a brittle, concussion-prone Tua over Justin Herbert. #Fail
(Speculation in league circles was that Grier was safe as he had the goods on Ross. Remember, Grier was Dolphins general manager when Ross allegedly attempted to bribe then-Dolphins coach Brian Flores to tank for Tua, which the NFL very much frowns upon. Flores, who claimed Ross offered him $100,000 per loss in 2019, later sued the NFL for racial discrimination. The case is still open.)
The Dolphins are still looking for their first playoff win this century.*
(* — This is for the math people: The Dolphins won a playoff game in December 2000. Math people consider this the 20th century. As Joe often says, when the Sumerians developed rudimentary forms of math in 3000 BCE, they didn’t have odometers.)
So, with I’m-not-trading-anyone Grier gone and his office cleaned out — and him likely day drinking right now somewhere near the water on Marathon courtesy of his get-lost money from Ross — might Ross now want to have a firesale?
The Dolphins are certainly in rebuild mode. As a result, Joe is confident Ross will want to stock up on draft picks.
Despite the Dolphins being a trainwreck, they have talented players the Bucs could certainly use. De’Von Achane, Malik Washington, Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips and Jordyn Brooks spring to mind. Guys who can help the Bucs right now. Help the Bucs make a Super Bowl run.
Will Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht jump on his phone and take advantage? Trade deadline is 4 p.m. Tuesday.

phillips or an OL…
honestly nothing the phins have sticks out lol…
6-2!!!
GO BUCS!!!!
October 31st, 2025 at 2:44 pm
Chubb would be a solid addition for a 5th, and they throw in a 7th. Aside from him, I’d rather shy away from the Dolphins players.
Interesting thought here, if Griz goes on to be a HC after this season, and McDaniel is inevitably fired at the end of the season, would TB consider him as an OC candidate?
October 31st, 2025 at 2:49 pm
Agree McDaniels would be a great replacement. We would be able to keep him for a lot of years. Noone will hire him right away
October 31st, 2025 at 3:03 pm
Grizz hasnt shown anything imo that would warrant a HC job…
if he does get hired as an HC, i think bowles stays in house again for our OC…
Thad Lewis is in the driver seat to be our next OC..
6-2!!!
GO BUCS!!!

Perfect opportunity to take advantage of the situation in Miami! Let’s go!
October 31st, 2025 at 3:09 pm
Bwwahahaha!!!…ain’t gonna happen.
October 31st, 2025 at 3:11 pm
Washington? He of nit one, but two lost strip fumbles last night?
October 31st, 2025 at 3:13 pm
Read that Waddle and Chubb would be tied to massive dead money so moving them makes no sense unless a team is buying the debt.
The rest of the guys likely on table.
Send Brooks or Philips (maybe?) but Bucs won’t. They think Dennis is building steam.
October 31st, 2025 at 3:15 pm
Make a move to improve this teams chances of going all the way this year makes perfect sense to me. This team is 6-2 and on their bye. Perfect timing. LFG Go Bucs!!

I’ve seen this ‘combo’ of posts before.
Are y’all one person?
BTW, I don’t necessarily disagree… That doesn’t mean that I agree that he would be the best option either.
October 31st, 2025 at 3:35 pm
Don’t need another EDGE without an edge. Reddick got a nice annuity for contributing very little. If the Bucs want to make a Tom Brady move, take a big swing for Myles Garrett who wants out of CLE.
October 31st, 2025 at 3:37 pm
Need explosive WR help STAT !
October 31st, 2025 at 3:50 pm
@gp – I have no idea who George is, and I don’t really post all that frequently. There is a poster named BucU as well, perhaps you’re confusing the two of us?
October 31st, 2025 at 4:04 pm
yall are gonna think i’m crazy but trade for Waddle as long as it doesn’t cost too much…. this way, we’ve replaced both Mike & Godwin (egbuka/waddle) before they ever leave/retire AND if we ever get healthy before then it’s a wrap with everyone on the field…
October 31st, 2025 at 4:16 pm
Grizz is on the radar to be a head coach. Hopefully he stays.
October 31st, 2025 at 4:21 pm
Jason isn’t parting with any draft picks.
October 31st, 2025 at 4:33 pm
Lotsa drinking today.
October 31st, 2025 at 4:34 pm
Grizz has as much chance of being a HC as I do. What has he shown that would lead anyone to believe he’s anything more than a middle of the road OC?
October 31st, 2025 at 4:52 pm
Grizzard started off pretty strong. And right now Baker is obviously a bit injured. Hope he comes back from the bye 100% along with Goedeke and Godwin Jr.!
October 31st, 2025 at 4:52 pm
And Bucky. Forgot him too lol.
October 31st, 2025 at 5:10 pm
“The Dolphins are still looking for their first playoff win this century.”
WOW!!!!
Joe likes to say mention the Bucs’ decade of depression but Miami has a quarter century of suck. There’s no end in sight, either.
Feels good to be a Buc!!!
October 31st, 2025 at 5:11 pm
Phins OL sucks, jordan brooks, Achane or Phillips.
October 31st, 2025 at 5:13 pm
Let’s see, we have a team that would want draft picks (Dolphins) and a team that doesn’t want to give draft picks (Bucs) equals a quiet trade deadline, while waiting on Braswell to pop.
October 31st, 2025 at 5:15 pm
If we can get LB Brooks for a 4th, I’d go with that.
October 31st, 2025 at 5:18 pm
There’s just to many needs to be filled at trade deadline. Probably win division by default because everyone sucks in division, be one and done in playoffs because injuries can’t be overcome. If offense plays the way they did last 2 games, I don’t see us winning any of the next 3 games. I’ve never seen a team racked by so many injuries year after year. I had such high hopes for the season.
October 31st, 2025 at 5:26 pm
It all depends on the health of Godwin & JMac.
October 31st, 2025 at 5:49 pm

I have a terrible feeling JMac is done. When they speak heavily in terms of his quality of life outside of football it’s not a promising sign for the future
October 31st, 2025 at 6:22 pm
JPP’s experience gives me hope for JMac.
October 31st, 2025 at 6:27 pm
Dude, the Browns just resigned Garrett this year. The dead money cap hit would be astronomical. There is ZERO chance he gets traded before the deadline.
October 31st, 2025 at 6:41 pm
No to mcdaniels…his offenses stall way too much for my liking…dude has ruined tyreek hill along with tyreek chipping in himself but he would not be a good addition…chubb is decent but I believe Anthony Nelson is way better…would take a flyer on Phillips but wouldn’t be too serious about it..miami is a losing ball club people why would you guys soil our locker room with our old mentality lol
October 31st, 2025 at 7:25 pm
According to Jordan Schultz, the Bucs had interest in Marquez-Valdes Scantling, but he opted to reunite with Aaron Rodgers.
October 31st, 2025 at 7:36 pm
Ok hey Jets hire Mcdaniels as OC then sign Mac Jones, trade down get more picks this year. This year’s college qbs are garbage. That’s for free. An as for AC/DC um yea no Superbowl for us ok bye 🤙🏾👊🏾✌🏾
October 31st, 2025 at 7:47 pm
I thought Byron Lefttwich was calling plays on Sunday, with 7 straight runs up the middle.
October 31st, 2025 at 9:32 pm
Brooks would be great.
November 1st, 2025 at 12:42 am
Hell yessssss to Jordyn Brooks!!!
November 1st, 2025 at 12:46 am
Jaelen Phillips & Waddle are both worth a convo as well…..
Bottom line is DO SOMETHING Jason Licht.
Don’t sit on the sidelines this time……
We need to fill a couple of holes then make our run starting next week!!
November 1st, 2025 at 6:25 am
We’re getting better and better in the draft. Even a 5th round pick has massive value to us. Let’s stick with what we got and keep pushing. We already have the pieces for a championship.
November 1st, 2025 at 7:26 am
Jason will do nothing. His ego will get in the way. Bucs go 10-7 (not bad) and lose at home in the first round of the playoffs.
November 1st, 2025 at 8:04 am
Jordyn Brooks, Jaeden Phillips and Waddle. All young, talented guys that help now and next couple years.
November 1st, 2025 at 8:14 am
at least go get Jordyn Brooks, he is a great pass coverage middle linebacker(and good against the run ) in his prime that could get better playing along side Lavonte David. Best of all he could be an impactful player for this year , and more for a cheap price to the Bucs. and jeff says don’t wake up so negative
November 1st, 2025 at 8:16 am
like the way you’re thinking FRONFOUR and Bucfan1988
November 1st, 2025 at 8:17 am
An interim GM with four days on the job ain’t going to clean house. Might happen next year but I don’t see this week.
November 1st, 2025 at 9:41 am
Is that drip (yahoo) in that photo the Real Estate clown who is reported to be the primary owner of the Dolphins, Joe? He supposedly made his dough in time shares. If so, no wonder the Fins are fighting it out with the Jets for the ‘honor’ of being the cellar dweller of the AFC East. I’m not thinking SB, I’m thinking one game at a time for our Bucs. And no more injuries!!!!!!
