Bucs Issue Cover-Your-Eyes Injury Report
October 1st, 2025
Banged up.
No wonder the Bucs only had a walk-through practice today to prepare for the Seahawks.
The official injury report below is more of an estimation, meaning it’s how players would have been classified if there actually was a real practice.
The list of wounded is long and it includes Baker Mayfield with a new knee injury. What? He’s also officially still nursing a biceps issue on his throwing arm. Today at his weekly news conference, Mayfield said he feels great. The injury report says he would not have practiced today.
Newcombers to the Bucs’ report are receiver Sterling Shepard (foot), Tykee Smith (ankle) and Zyon McCollum (thumb).
Joe’s almost ready to demand Team Glazer bring in a spiritual healer. Sixteen Bucs on the injury report, not counting those on injured reserve like starters Luke Goedeke and Calijah Kancey.

This smells like this is the start of our annual losing streak. What a nightmare it’s been health wise. So thankful that we have 3 wins somehow

That list is nuts.

Ill take 3-1 after all these injuries. I hate to say it, but we lose this one. Too much star power out. I think we can beat the similarly injured 49ers the next week. You tell me we are 4-2 with some reinforcements coming in, and im ok with it.

I just figured it out! They took the flouride out of the drinking water. Now we are mineral deficient. Or possibly we been sweating out all our minerals training in the heat(that could actually be a factor) are we taking our minerals? Where is Gatorade? Could be all chemicals they put in that instead of minerals..Yeah that’s it! Go Bowles

Quicker to list the uninjured

It’s Wednesday so not surprised but also hear reports Dean, Morrison, Irving likely all out for Seattle.

Every year with this team by week 4-5 the injury list is a horror show. Something is wrong with the strength and conditioning of this team.

Uhhh Uhhh….
I mean, I’ve been demanding a look at and replacement of the sports medicine and athletic training department for the Bucs for “Four Straight Years” now.. And I can tell you that the amount of the damaged has INCREASED year over year.
I’m Not just saying this. I’m Not qualified to pretend to know what, or why but the increasing damage IS HOW we “might” head back down the Glory Mountain MUCH SOONER than anyone could have predicted. Obviously…
Bowles Certainly IS NOT at fault (that’s for thr trolls), However we can ALL lay this at Jason Licht’s feet! He’s the Boss! He’s IN CHARGE of ALL HIRERING AND FIRING!
Overall, this whole thing IS HIS baby. It’s his job to hire qualified staff just as much as it’s his job to draft and or hire players..

Every year no matter the actual injuries somone blames the trainers as if they are magical medicine men that can ward them off and protect the players. Some of yall need to go to college and become trainers so you can solve this terrible porblem.

@Joe
I’m Very Curious and honestly I’m not sure where to get this information, but could you Please get us some info on who’s in charge of the “training and conditioning” department and how long they’ve been in charge?
Has there been turnover in that department? To what degree has it gotten (damaged players) worse over the last 3/ 4 years?
It’s just too far out of control. TOO MANY affected players for TOO MANY YEARS…
Thank you in advance

It’s pretty sad when I am looking forward to week 10 when week 4 has just passed. This injury report is hard to look at.
October 1st, 2025 at 9:43 pm
@Bucfan1011
Believe it or not There IS a department in charge of Conditioning. OBVIOUSLY not all damage is conditioning related, BUT FAR TOO MUCH IS! We happen to have an Unusual High amount of say Hamstring Problems in LARGE QUANTITIES. See, here’s the thing. The “trainers” JOB is to assist in That Type damage to be AVOIDED.
Stretching isn’t “magical” but a “good trainer” MAKES SURE that you know Exactly How to avoid damage via stretching and hydration (the only two things you NEED to do to avoid a pulled hammy)… THAT DEPARTMENT BETTER FIGURE OUT SOME MAGIC OR THEY SHOULD ALL BE FIRED!!!
And who are you kidding? I’d LOVE TO go Back to college! DON’T THREATEN ME WITH A “GOOD TIME”!

Unreal! Should the first team guys have played in the preseason games? Would mostly playing the starters for the first two quarters of preseason games like in the past actually reduce injuries? Obviously not playing in the preseason did not help prepare them for 4 quarters of intense contact. I am no sports medical expert but I don’t remember a season in the past that totally held out most starters for the entire preseason. Any real sports doctors around here willing to comment?

Good thing our next 3 games are against very physical teams
October 1st, 2025 at 10:17 pm
Just – wow. Bucs Medical and Training, maybe Mr Magoo oversees them in addition to driving the special bus into the ditch with the whole team on it
October 1st, 2025 at 10:34 pm
Obvious One…calm down… injuries happen in football.
October 1st, 2025 at 10:55 pm
All of these injuries is a blessing in disguise. In previous years we started out strong, got the big ego and began losing. This year, injuries are causing backups to play more and overall, they’re doing a great job. With all of these injuries, we are just a blocked punt away from being undefeated. Our team will unite in Seattle and overachieve to get a win.
October 1st, 2025 at 11:21 pm
That’s damn near the whole team. Wow. I can’t remember a beat up team as this years team
October 2nd, 2025 at 12:28 am
With all the rule changes on player safety we have more i juries please explain.. is this underwear football?
October 2nd, 2025 at 12:32 am
would gladly trade these next three games for an improved health outlook. can easily heat back up after going 3 and 4. worst case is we are in worse shape after these next three games.
October 2nd, 2025 at 12:36 am
Obvious one, the problem isn’t the training department somehow not being able to solve these injuries, the problem is the injuries themselves. Contact sport. It’s just bad luck on the injury front.
