Bucs Beginning To Feel Comfortable In New Orleans

That tomb the slimy Saints play in is no longer haunted for the Bucs.
It used to be a house of horrors when the Bucs played there. No more.
On the heels of a five-sack, four-takeaway game by the Bucs’ defense, they stomped the slimy Saints 23-3. It turns out the Bucs have a winning streak in the Big Easy.
Since the Bucs beat the slimy Saints in New Orleans in 2022 with another five-sack, four-takeaway day, the Bucs are 6-0 against New Orleans when the Bucs have a multi-sack day.
As a result of today’s win, the Bucs now have 15 sacks in the past three games. Per ESPN research, Tampa Bay’s 15 sacks over its last three games is tied for the most in a three-game stretch this century.

HOW BAD IS GRIZZARD?
Why is he getting any criticism?
Running the same HB dive play 4 times in a row and getting stuffed at the 1 yard line is a joke. He can’t call a different play?
The offense has struggled the past couple of weeks because it seems that he doesn’t ADJUST his playcalling.
Do other teams now have enough film on Grizzard’s playcalling that he’s predictable and limited and they’re able to shut the Bucs Offense down?
This has to be a major concern.

I don’t get why we stopped guys being in motion or at least faking the attempted sweep here and there to keep the defense on its heels.

Defense rules always and today was the perfect example. Nelson may just become my favorite player. How does he not start in two weeks?

I don’t hate the 4 runs at the goal line, but this is the issue. It was just super basic nonsense. No movement, no creativity, nothing. And it wasn’t just the goal line, it was all day.
Wiz Kid needs to go back and watch tape from last year on what was working – because it wasn’t lining up and running straight up the middle and playing smash mouth football, certainly not when you’re missing 40% of your offensive line and your top RB.
This was my concern all offseason when people kept talking about how Wiz Kid was going to change up the offense. The offensive scheme last year was the best we’ve ever seen here, it was super creative and efficient and did a great job of taking advantage of every players skills – and this year, we’re seeing some super basic Leftwich-Canales level nonsense. I hope they just blame it on injuries, and come out of the bye week and we finally see the reveal of what the real offense.

We really miss Mauch and Godecke. The right side of our line isn’t great – but the whole O line has gotten pretty whipped the past 2 games. We need Luke back yesterday.

Woodturd apparently believes 212 yards of offense is great, just as she believes that the defense giving up 500 yards of offense is dandy.
Great defense today. Grizzard needs to take his playbook to the woodshed. He is rolling back the clock to the Bymron Leftwurst days of 2022.

TheBucsAnthem – Wiz Kid got the title from all offseason where people talked about how smart he was, and how he would ‘evolve’ the offense.
To me, anyone who is truly smart would have looked at how good the offense was last year, and just hit, copy + paste. Instead the offense has taken a huge step backwards this year, with a complete lack of flow, setting up plays for later in the game, overall a lack of any sort of creativity at all. It’s like Wiz Kid got the wrong tape, and is looking at 2023 instead of 2024 when it comes to play calling.
I still hold out hope, that injuries have derailed things, that finally the offense should get back on track, but we’re 8 weeks in, we should be seeing the ‘real’ offense by now.

People getting on Grizzard for running behind Tristan and the left side of the line 4 times in a row??????
That is EXACTLY what they should have done.
You want to win in the NFL, you win the trenches, you don’t get cute at the one yard line. You power it in.
And if you go four times in a row and can’t get in… You don’t deserve it.
That was pathetic how much they got stopped there. They desperately need lineman to get healthy and start working together better.
The offense will be just fine, needs to get healthy.
Maybe you people weren’t paying attention but the pass blocking was atrocious. Even all pro Tristan Wirfs was getting schooled a handful of times by Chase Young.
They didn’t have time to wait around for a pass 20 yards down field most the game. The run blocking wasn’t much better and… in case you haven’t noticed, Baker Mayfield is hurt. Been playing hurt for the last two weeks.
Get healthy, come back from the BYE week with Bucky, hopefully Godwin, Goedeke and start rolling

The Bucs have long since sailed out of Buccaneers Cove. The Bucs go where they go and no team is always too much for them. They have long since stopped being the team that always loses, the team that cannot get out of their own way with too many penalties and turnovers. The team with their quarterback getting benched. It started when Bucs hired Bruce Arians.

You are 100% correct……..Josh Grizzard is failing Todd Bowles and this team…..that’s why Bowles chucked a spear at the offense last week afterwards……he clearly was sending a message.

I’ve had issues with playcalling at times, but are all you Nancy’s forgetting something?
We’ve been missing 3 of our top 4 WRs
Missing our RB1
Missing our starting RT
We were missing our starting LT for weeks
We’re missing like 3 different RGs still
It’s insane to think that doesn’t affect playcalling.
With that said, I don’t think there are excuses for the lack of creativity in the run game at this point. What happened to the 2 back sets??
