Will Jalen Carter Be Suspended For Bucs Game?

September 5th, 2025

Eagles spitting DT Jalen Carter.

If it was bad enough to get run before kickoff, maybe it will be bad enough to get suspended for the first month of the season?

That’s what Joe is hoping for with habitual moron Jalen Carter, the otherwise uber-talented defensive tackle for the Super Bowl champion Eagles.

The NFL, as Conor Orr of SI.com points out, is trying to clean up its image. Both the NFL and the zebras have made it clear this year there will be a special focus on sportsmanship.

Translation: More flags for cursing and calling opponents’ mothers, wives and girlfriends unpublishable names.

Why is this happening? Orr notes that the NFL has some major business deals brewing, specifically more international games, potential expansion both domestic and abroad, and more TV contracts.

Television networks, especially foreign television entities, are not overly kosher about throwing billions of dollars at something suits view as unseemly or distasteful.

The NFL is trying to conquer the world and it’s easier to do that with honey as opposed to spit.

And spit is just what that lunkhead Carter did. Before last night’s season-opener even began, Carter spat on the former Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner and quarterback of America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott.

Carter was run from the game. Before the game started.

Given Carter’s history, he’s prone to pull stupid stunts. This is just the latest. There is a reason he slipped all the way to No. 9 despite being widely regarded as the best defensive player in the 2023 draft.

If a player is going to get tossed from a game, a nationally televised game, a player from the reigning Super Bowl champion, for committing an offense against the quarterback of America’s Team, surely he may get suspended, right? Especially for what he did.

Would NFL warden Roger Goodell have the stones to make an example out of Carter and suspend him for the next three games, thereby being unavailable when the Eagles visit The Licht House in Week 4 to square off against the Bucs?

Joe can only hope.

  1. Hunter Says:

Nah not any more than 1 or 2 games probably. Especially after they showed Dak spit first.

  2. Jeebs the Honey Bear Says:

He gets suspended for one game at the most. Let’s hope he spits on Baker before the first play.

  3. Aqualung Says:

What a maroon. He’s lucky CeeDee Sheep choked like a fat dude needing the Heimlich maneuver.

  4. MadMax Says:

Stupid! Grown men acting like teens. I hope, but he’ll probably just be susp 1 game and a fine.

It was a good game though. CD Lamb had the dropsies late. But they probably wouldve lost anyway, down by 4.

  5. Capt ahab Says:

After watching the game tonight, Ceedee Lamb was terrible, possibly or most likely cost the Cowboys a win. I counted three huge drops by Lamb in this game.

  6. Hogslyr Says:

I saw it. I didn’t see Prescott spit, but I did see that a** clown spit! He should be suspended!

  7. MadMax Says:

If he spits on Baker, lets just have a guy already in place to handle it with a swift kick in the balls.

  8. ReeeBarrr Says:

In a year when they’re trying to clean up sportsmanship
And at the very beginning of the game

I’d guess he’ll get the full weight of what they can give

  9. ReeeBarrr Says:

..And at the very beginning of the nfl season! lol

  10. Saskbucs Says:

I agree that it will be 1 or 2 at most.

  11. garro Says:

Anyone remember when Sportmanship was a thing?

    Class?

    Go Bucs!

  12. FortMyersDave Says:

Carter will be back for the Bucs game. He probably will initially get suspended for 2 or 3 games, appeal it and get it trimmed down to one game and a fat monetary fine. Of course, if a Buc or any other non-major market team had a player do that, then it would probably be 5 games trimmed to 3 on appeal. It’s a Bucs life…..

  13. Daryl Green Says:

    Answer to the ? Nope

  14. Delusional Intelligence Says:

Even if he only gets suspended next week, Cody, Luke et al will piss him off enough to do something stupid to get tossed again. Maybe Baker changes the snap count to “Jalen wears women’s underwear” The O-line could have a field day with this. And Jalen is enough of an numbskull to fall for it.

  15. Fred McNeil Says:

I agree that it should probably be just one game. Maybe two and that’s only because he sagely chose the absolutely most embarrassing moment humanly possible to do that.

  16. Lunchmeat Says:

“He might not see the provocation, but he will always aee the retaliation.” Jalen Carter has a target on his back now. Bets Baker or Barton or Bredeson don’t try to set him off come Week 4?

  17. Hodad Says:

He got tossed, that will be it.

  18. Sumosam Says:

Dak spit at him first, 2 wrongs don’t make a right. Why didn’t Dak get tossed? They both should have. That would have been great TV for the first game of the year.

  19. Fishhawkbuc Says:

We have big issues if worried about the possibility of a game 4 player being suspended. Although, this is a continual pattern on this platform

  20. Jeff and Jack's grandpa Says:

What a extremely low iq beast

  21. PSL Bob Says:

Fishhawk, I was thinking the same thing. Where’s the confidence in this team?

  22. First Last Says:

I would troll so hard as a QB in this league. Why arent the play calls using zoomer lingo yet. As another guy said the snap count could be anything stupid. Probably the funnier it is the easier it is to draw people off

  23. Kenton Smith Says:

Dak spit but he didn’t spit at Carter. He spit on the ground. Carter walked back to the Cowboys huddle and spit directly on Daks jersey. Then he slowly walked off with a big dumb grin on his face. Almost cost his team the game. I like our chances against Philly this year.

  24. ModHairKen Says:

That was disgusting. If he’s not suspended, that will show where the NFL is at.

  25. Allen Lofton Says:

The responding player is usually called for the foul after reacting to the player who actually started it all.

This should be a review able call because the refs get it wrong too often. Right.
There are plenty of cameras to get

  26. Trump’s Swollen Ankles Says:

This is a surprise from a guy who flees the scene after killing two people racing cars?

    2 reduced to 1

  27. BucsFan81 Says:

He wouldn’t spit on Baker unless he wants Mike Evans giving him that Lattimore treatment.

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Television networks, especially foreign television entities, are not overly kosher about throwing billions of dollars at something suits view as unseemly or distasteful.” – Joe

As someone who has traveled, I recall pornography on public television in foreign countries, so unseemly or distasteful is not as big a concern as you seem to think.

  29. Curse of Gruden Says:

Didn’t Carter’s helmet say “Stop the Hate?” Or was that message in the End Zone?

  30. garro Says:

Where is Fournette we need a few good chip blocks I think. Embarrass this Asshat.

No not because Luke needs help either. Hope we embarrass him on every play! No excuse for spitting on an opponent!

    Go Bucs!

  31. Marky mark Says:

Spitting does not hurt but it is disrespectful. Soccer players in England get a 6 game suspension.

  32. garro Says:

Sorry Thinking Spitboy was a DE. Either way a few good trap plays will do the trick.

    Go Bucs!

  33. Fan of the South Says:

Romanowski spit right in a guys face and was not suspended. Don’t think anyone has been yet but maybe the Bucs get lucky again and the NFL makes this their first. believe the last time they faced the Eagles they were down their #1 and #2 receivers.

As suspension guidelines have to be agreed upon through a CBA between the Players Association and the League I would say odds at +40000.

This kind of grasping tells me someone might not be so sure about how the Bucs stack up with the other marquise teams in the NFC.

Maybe the Eagles starting offense will decide on a bonding bus trip to Tampa and all get arrested in Georgia with a half dozen hookers.

Instead of looking for some luck in week for one might be rummaging thru the Universe for something to help out in week one. great teams do come across luck now and again but don’t need it.

Explains why JAMES WILDER in NOT in the RoH !

  37. BillyBucco Says:

Please spell moron correctly when calling someone that at least.
    Asking politely for a friend.
I doubt he is a color.

  38. Yall don't get it Says:

    BillyBucco – Whats up doc?

  39. Bartow Buc Says:

It doesn’t matter the Buccaneers will beat the Eagles with or without Jalen Carter !!

    Go Bucs 2025 !!

  40. Pewter Power Says:

Bruh that’s assault so anyone of you try doing what Carter did I dare you. Yes he should be suspended. Dak spit at the ground and that’s what Carter gets for walking into their huddle

  41. unbelievable Says:

My guess is a 2 game suspension, so it will probably be his first game back…

  42. infomeplease Says:

We’ll see how the league plays this one.

No more excuses, I’m tired of hearing them! ” Oh, the Buc’s play in the NFC South division! That’s the weakest one!”. “Oh the Buc’s best them early in the season before they got it together.” ” Oh their best players are injured”. ENOUGH!

This is the NFL! The Best of the Best players for the past 10+ years!!! Each team has the exact time frame to practice and put their team together. Each team has the same money to pay the players.( Of course all teams spend future money just in different amounts)

Each team has 53+ players not 22. If you play them and win… YOU WON!!! PERIOD! On Sept. 28 the Bucs will field a 53 man team and the Eagles will field a 53 man team. The team with the most points at the end of the game is the WINNER!! Let’s not worry who will be playing or not. The teams will field the best team they can. The team that makes the big plays when the game is on the line wins. That player or players can be last seasons MVPs or this years 3rd stringers. It doesn’t matter! They are all capable of making big plays, They are the best of the best! Make the plays when they mean the most win the game! Winner…wins! Loser… losses !

  43. #1bucsfan Says:

Some of the unsportsmanlike crap these players do is ridiculous. Have some respect. Kids watch this stuff then they think it’s cool to do.
