Luke Goedeke, Cody Mauch Placed On Injured Reserve

September 18th, 2025

Placed on IR.

Don’t expect to see right tackle Luke Goedeke on the field for the Bucs for at least a month.

Tampa Bay made the bad news official this afternoon. Goedeke was placed on injured reserve with a bad foot. That means he’ll miss at least four games, per NFL rules. Also on IR is right guard Cody Mauch; reports say he had season-ending knee surgery.

The Bucs also made official the signing of veteran guard Dan Feeney off the Bills’ practice squad.

Added to the Bucs’ practice squad is former Eagles guard and Bucs guard Sua Opeta.

No worries we still have Heck… Bowles is a Bozo but he might keep ir close. He ha total job security.

  2. Guadalajara Mexico Fan Says:

    My Two cents vs JETS:

LT Benjamin Chukwuma (Vs jets seems to be very good opportunity)
    LG Ben Bredeson
    C Graham Barton
    RG Michael Jordan
    RT Sua Opeta (Or Heck

  3. Kenton Smith Says:

Bredeson and Barton holding steady, Wirfs back in a week or two and Luke back in 5 or six weeks. Hate that for Mauch. Tough SOB playing on that leg the other night. Wow! Whatever we’re paying Bredeson it isn’t enough. Heard many complaints about his measurable skills and silly grades but that dude is a football player! These guys are going to be all right.

  4. LVMYBUCS Says:

Look we all know what the end game will be its the same every year will Bowles at the helm. We will get close and lose thats how the ship is run with Bowles as the capt. We need a real head coach a winning head coach. This team looked good on paper but this blooper making head coach and staff just keep makeing stupid mistakes and it keeps costing us every season. THIS COACHING STAFF IS A WASTE OF GOOD PLAYERS.

  5. Lt. Dan Says:

I like it Kenton. Also – glass half full. We beat the Jets. Wirfs comes back for the Eagles game. Barton back to center, Bredeson back to left guard. Klien goes to RG and improves every game. Heck holds his own until Goedeke gets back at RT. Chukwuma gets some valuable reps in releif at LT and RT.

  6. I Remember 21 Says:

Our strength & conditioning and training staffs need to be totally replaced.

  7. DBS Says:

Hey coach. Quit putting players on the field. Football is a rough sport. Plyers might get injured. Hell they might even get hurt by themselves!

  8. SteveK Says:

Would love to see a lot of motion, traps, play action shots to Mike, and TE screens. Pound the rock and let the linemen pull and blast some folks. I bet if we can be determined to run the hell out of the ball this weekend, we can use the FL heat to our advantage. GOP we rock the white unis

  9. Fred McNeil Says:

How the heck did we reach such a disaster on that offensive line.

  10. TampaBayBucFan Says:

Both Luke & Cody were injured Monday night and continued to play in the game……..I’m not surprised their continued play resulted in IR for both of them.

The same for Egbuka……he got wrapped and went back in….now he may miss multiple games.

You have to question the players & coaches for allowing them to play with injuries…..

  11. View from 132 Says:

People need to back off the training and medical staff. Every guy has a different injury. It is football. They can change whatever rules they want – it’s dangerous to get out there. Always will be. That’s the sport.

Tough break for the team, and for these dudes that need to heal up. This team plays late in the playoffs, we’ll be talking about the One Legged Performance of Cody. That took real balls.

  12. mj Says:

people who don’t understand the injuries have never played football

  13. BucsFan81 Says:

Good thing Baker can run. He will be running for his life. Probably a lot more of the running game and less passing until we can get Wirfs back

  14. geno711 Says:

    Hilarious that LVMYBUCS.

That was one of the worst takes I have seen.

  15. Bosch Says:

I like the idea of getting Chukwuma some real game experience against the Jets.

  16. Tackleblockwin Says:

These backup offensive lineman we have may not be as good as the starters, but they give 100% effort on every snap. No giving up from this bunch. I suppose resiliency is the word that comes to mind.

  17. Edward Says:

If we’re going to have injuries, may as well have them early in the season. If the Bucs have a shot at a super bowl run this year, they need healthy starters and seasoned backups in come January. It’s a long season, everybody chill

  18. dumboldguy Says:

If Wirfs is practicing and his knee is healed and its just a matter of getting into playing shape he needs to play or we should sit Baker and Evans and Ebuka and just concede. You can’t send Baker out there with 3/5th’s of the o-line out including both tackles.

  19. Bucfan1988 Says:

I read where something’s also up with Mike Jordan.
They brought up Luke Haggard to the starting 53.

    What the actual hell???

    Haggard is NOT good!
    Why not Opeta??
