Loads Of Unsold Bucs-Jets Tickets
September 18th, 2025
It’s the big 50th anniversary home-opener for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
It’s not sold out, despite the hype and the Bucs having two thrilling wins to start the season.
In fact, per a look at the TicketMaster website, which sells unsold Bucs tickets in addition to resale tickets, lots of tickets are available.
You want two or three seats together? No problem. Want to bring a group and sit in the overpriced “cheap” seats? No problem. Every upper deck section has seats available.
On the resale market, the cheapest tickets are going in the $80 range. Face value on the worst seats in the house cost more than $120.00, including tax, for this game. Joe concludes that the Bucs have miscalculated the market. In 2016, a full season ticket in the upper deck could be had for $400.
Perhaps the Bucs will have a big walk-up crowd, hopefully not throngs wearing Jets green.

I’ll be there.
September 18th, 2025 at 1:59 pm
Seems like 50th anniversary season opener will be a bit special. I imagine they have some cool things planned but I haven’t looked into what that will be.

MAUCH IS OUT FOR THE SEASON!?!?! This season is doomed. My Lord this team can’t catch a break with the injuries. Absolutely Crazy. Week 2 every season we lose our so many players. No Wirfs, No Goedeke, and No Mauch. Baker has no chance to. make it through this season healthy! Such a shame!
September 18th, 2025 at 2:00 pm
If i ever get lucky enough to make my way down for a game (never been, always broke and working too much, plus im is SC) Im going to try to be on the pirate ship…def will make a weekend of it.
September 18th, 2025 at 2:02 pm
Season ticket holder from 2002-2023 and it’s much better and cheaper watching at home
September 18th, 2025 at 2:02 pm
Mauch is out for the season. This season is toast. No chance Baker is making it through the season unscathed. Total bummer!
September 18th, 2025 at 2:03 pm
Coming down from KS, Bday weekend. All these injuries have me worried!
September 18th, 2025 at 2:09 pm
Hi been a Bucs fan since 1976. I lived in Ca until 9 years ago after retiring and returning here. This year I bought season tickets. This has been on my bucket list for awhile. Anyway I have great seats, but yes incredibly expensive. Over the last few years I purchased single game tickets and they seemed even more expensive!!!. I think you may be right about miscalculating the market. This game should be sold out!! Without a doubt. Their is no other reason why it has not sold out unles people just don’t believe in the team , which does not appear to be the case!.
Anyone who watched Monday’s game should be excited to see this game live
September 18th, 2025 at 2:09 pm
I see the word Jets and smile. – Ever since Annie made the funny about the green object in the end zone and that it wasn’t the jets.
September 18th, 2025 at 2:12 pm
Game going to be blacked out locally then?
NFL blackouts ended 10+ years ago. –Joe
September 18th, 2025 at 2:16 pm
People can’t afford or don’t want to spend what it costs to go to the games anymore. You have to buy tickets, parking and drinks. It’s not cheap.
Personally I would rather watch at home or go to a sports bar.
September 18th, 2025 at 2:30 pm
Well it’s gnna be a 16-13 game, with about 12 punts between each team. In 90 degree heat, because people keep getting injured. It’s gnna be a redzone day, my own liquor and gambling. Baker – my apologies that you’re going to be running for your life. Godspeed
September 18th, 2025 at 2:31 pm
Geez. I remember paying $5 for cheap seats in the Old Sombrero back in the late 70s. I think they may have been $10 for the 1979 playoffs against the Filthydelphia.
September 18th, 2025 at 2:33 pm
Best economy ever!!!!!!
September 18th, 2025 at 2:34 pm
Who’s brilliant idea was it to have a 1p game in September?
September 18th, 2025 at 2:36 pm
The 1 o’clock September kickoffs are brutal for the large majority of normal people LOL
Projected to be 89 at kickoff with 57% humidity under mostly sunny skies
Better have a few extra Ultras to stay hydrated 😎
September 18th, 2025 at 2:39 pm
Maybe stop wearing cartoon uniforms from the 1970s. Anyone nostalgic about them is too old to attend.
September 18th, 2025 at 2:41 pm
It is not unusual for NY fans to out number Tampa fans at every venue (rayjay, trop, benchmark). Sad
September 18th, 2025 at 2:43 pm
@View, poor excuse and pov
September 18th, 2025 at 2:46 pm
You guys, who whine about player toughness and “real” fans, sure have a weak constitution and big list of excuses (hot, colors, drive, time of day, cost….). Boo
September 18th, 2025 at 3:04 pm
I never want to see Creamcycle uniforms again. So if I have to miss that game, so be it.
September 18th, 2025 at 3:05 pm
Born & raised in Tampa, actually Brandon. Been a Bucsfan my whole life. Blessed to be able to retire early. Now i live in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Go to most all the games, every home game. Was in Atlanta @ The Mercedes Benz Dome a few weeks ago. Nothing like sitting amongst the opposing teams fans and having your team take the air out of their lungs and leave with the dub… stadium was packed. Loud no matter who had the ball, cause there was ALOT of us BUC Fans in Atlanta on opening day. Still have a home in Tampa. Kids and grandkids are there. It’s expensive for tickets, season tickets are insane. But if you can do it, then do it. Sure it’s cheaper and nicer to sit home in the a/c. But there’s nothing like being there in Ray Jay supporting your favorite team. We love it
September 18th, 2025 at 3:07 pm
My wife and I will be there… only missed one opening home game since 1987 this is the 50th celebration. I believe in the Bake show 100%
September 18th, 2025 at 3:11 pm
I had tix for 16 years Wyche, Tony, JG and Ra. Never had a hard time selling them, for the most part.
I love my Bucs. But they are one of the most expensive tix in the NFL. I live near Atl now and picked up tickets for 64 Bucs. Also less for the Carolina game.
It’s a shame. I’d love to see creamsicle and white in the stands Sunday..
September 18th, 2025 at 3:12 pm
Went to a playoff game last year, and the sound system in the arena was bad. The music was bad, and I was embarrassed to be there with my daughter. Even worse was the crowd. Was embarrassed. They were Drunk, loud, and rude. I had to apologize over and over again to the Washington fan who sat next to me. I am never going to another Bucs game again. Will happily sit in my comfy chair with my sony 95 inch tv above my fireplace with sound bar

Sounds like you should have taken a double dose of Midol before going to the game.
September 18th, 2025 at 3:26 pm
Ava and I are 6 rows from the field by the tunnel, we CANNOT WAIT!!! BAKER FOR MVP!
September 18th, 2025 at 3:32 pm
Just a year or two ago, I saw tickets as low as $20-$25 per ticket via SeatGeek for the Carolina game (not bad seats either). And, I saw a few for around $40 last season. These were all like the night before, or morning of the game.
September 18th, 2025 at 3:33 pm
In this region in this state, in this country? The average person can’t afford it. Perhaps if we establish some regulation and control over how much the rich can charge, prices will become more reasonable.
It’s $14.95 for one pint of beer at RayJay, lol, it’s greedy
September 18th, 2025 at 3:45 pm
1pm sept game sitting in the sun for 3 hours. No thank you. Go Bowles
September 18th, 2025 at 3:47 pm
Honestly they should never schedule 1 pm home games in September. I don’t blame people for not wanting to get heat stroke.
September 18th, 2025 at 3:47 pm
It’s a shame really. Our home field advantage is the heat – not the fans.
You can sense it from the players…they’re trying to say the right thing about the fan base but you can tell they ain’t feeling it when asked about playing at home.
If my health were better or I lived within 1000 miles of Tampa it’d be a dream to attend a Bucs game live.
September 18th, 2025 at 3:48 pm
Wasn’t that long ago ALL of our games were 1 pm.
September 18th, 2025 at 3:50 pm
creamsicle is a curse, if they lose blame it on the unis but they got this they’re not sleeping this time bucky/rachaad gonna tandem what cook did last week, jets are burnt at 90 degrees
September 18th, 2025 at 3:58 pm
I live in LA now for work and go see the Bucs every time they’re here v. Rams or Chargers at Sofi stadium (which by the way is a very new and very nice covered but open stadium). Have tickets for the Rams game who are also competitive this year and also won a SB in the last 5 years (as Bucs fans well know)… anyway, the cheapest tickets I saw when I bought mine month ago were in the $75 range. So this is a bit surprising.
I somehow ended up with a girlfriend who is an Eagles fan (eye roll lol) and we’re looking at making a trip back to Tampa for the Bucs v. Eagles. Guessing that one will be even more expensive because of all those bandwagon SB champ cling ons buying tix and driving up the price.
September 18th, 2025 at 4:06 pm
I remember the LAST time we played the Jets
September 18th, 2025 at 4:15 pm
Hard enough to find a way to watch the qame NFL is running off all non gamblers.
September 18th, 2025 at 4:18 pm
A Thousand here a Thousand there… A Thousand everywher…Wait for the Tousand dollar Beer.
September 18th, 2025 at 4:20 pm
Why have expensive players? NFL could go Ai. So easy do not doubt me….
September 18th, 2025 at 4:43 pm
Man if I lived close I’d definitely go to the game but I’m from Texas
September 18th, 2025 at 5:01 pm
That stadium is too exposed to Florida’s intense sun for older fans to sit comfortably and watch a 1PM. Yeah the younger folks can take it but I’d rather go to November/December games at 4PM and be comfortable. Without some shields on the upper edges of the stadium to eliminate that oppressive sun the Bucs will continue to suffer low attendance in Sept/Oct and the place will fill up quickly as the season shifts to fall which is awesome in Florida.
September 18th, 2025 at 5:13 pm
I can attend. Healthy enough. Can afford it. Had season tickets for many other years. Not going. Homers on here can disagree, but retro disco day at the stadium does not excite me. Burn that old faded orange crap. The Bucs for a generation are known as a competitive franchise and PEWTER AND RED. There are what, 2 playoff wins to remember the 20 years they wore that orange? No thanks.
Thank you for your service ChiBuc. In the men’s room at Walmart.
September 18th, 2025 at 5:52 pm
Bucs need a domed stadium with a retractable roof. Sitting in that sweltering heat without a canopy is punishment.
September 18th, 2025 at 5:57 pm
The game experience is just better at home or a sports bar
September 18th, 2025 at 6:30 pm
To commemorate the Bucs 50th season it’s perfectly appropriate to have some empty seats and a large amount of opposing fans. Let’s be honest, that’s the way it’s rolled in this town since the Bucs showed up.
It’s not a slam, just a showing of how transient the area is. And how fickle a lot of people are with the Bucs. Decades of time spent in the cellar will do that to a fanbase.
September 18th, 2025 at 6:40 pm
2 wins in 20 years. We went 17 straight years between SB seasons without a playoff victory. That never happened in the creams.
September 18th, 2025 at 8:01 pm
A lot of america can’t even afford the cheap seats nowadays.
September 18th, 2025 at 9:43 pm
I just wish the game was at 4p, a 1p game is just too early for me since it means getting up, at the latest, like 10a – and what am I, a farmer? Why in the world would I ever get up that early on a weekend? The game should be at 4p, and I’d absolutely be attending. I don’t really care about the heat as I’m not poor, and would get club seats.
September 18th, 2025 at 10:11 pm
Yeah, it really surprised me too, when I saw that they’d scheduled 1:00pm home games again, during the ‘early part’ of this season’s schedule. Seems-like, they’d gone to having mostly 4:00pm games over the last several seasons. But, then they’d run a much ‘higher’ risk of weather/lightning delays during the later parts of the afternoon… So, guess they just decided to move it back to 1:00. With the NYJ suckin’ and also being East Coast, is what probably earned it being a 1:00pm game. But, you’re pretty much damned if you do & damned if you don’t.
September 18th, 2025 at 10:18 pm
Dewey Selmon Says:
2 wins in 20 years. We went 17 straight years between SB seasons without a playoff victory. That never happened in the creams.
**********************************************
The real Dewey Selmon would be vomiting if he read your mangling of Bucs history. The Bucs won *ONE* playoff game in their first 21 years of existence wearing creamiscle uniforms. You can count that on a single finger in case you need to add it up.
The Bucs finally won their second playoff game against Detroit in the 1997 season. Wearing pewter uniforms – with happy fans everywhere rejoicing that the creamsicle curse was dead.
If you’re going to make stuff up, don’t do it here with fans who actually know their Bucs history.
September 18th, 2025 at 10:30 pm
LAST TIME WENT TO THE BEARS GAME IN SEPTEMBER AND WATCHED THE GAME FROM THE TUNNEL .IT WAS SO FREAKING HOT !” HAD GOOD SEATS BUT DID NOT CARE PEOPLE WERE STAYING INSIDE .NEVER AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER . MUST HAVE BEEN BRUTAL ON THE FIELD .
September 18th, 2025 at 10:39 pm
They (understandably) raised the prices exponentially during the Brady years, in order to take full advantage (don’t blame them there), BUT it’s ridiculous that they are STILL at the level they currently, are. Yeah, it’s a complete total joke. But, the way ‘they’ look at it though, is it’s all about ‘preconditioning’ your mindset. They are scared to death of just even the possibility, of potentially setting a lower ‘price point’ expectation.
PS @sethery – I wish you could’ve heard me read your comment out loud LoL.
September 18th, 2025 at 10:42 pm
“Projected to be 89 at kickoff with 57% humidity under mostly sunny skies”
That’s childs play…
Kinda glad the first two games were away… and we won them both of course. The weather has been much milder this past week. 6 gen Floridian here and Sep is nothing like this past July and Aug. As long as there’s no lightning delay like that terrible USF / UM game last week.
September 18th, 2025 at 11:27 pm
Honestly the temps for this time of the year not bad, the feels like peaks at 95 around 3pm – and frankly, 95 isn’t that hot, although inside the stadium, you probably add 10 degrees to it. So nevermind.
But nothing at all beats opening day, vs the 49ers, in 1997, in the old stadium – that game was insane. 1pm game, I have no idea what the temp was, but it was, by far, the hottest game I’ve ever been too. It wasn’t just insanely hot, it was really windy, which you’d think would be a good thing, but actually it just felt like someone holding a blow dryer to your face. I was burnt to a crisp – probably the worst I’ve even been in my adult life. Meanwhile the yankee I went to the game with was such a dramaqueen he went to the hospital for sun poisoning, as if that’s a real thing. Anywho, this is nothing to compared to that, but man if 1p is just flat out too early for us fancy people who like to relax on the weekends, get up around noon.
September 18th, 2025 at 11:46 pm
Smart fans. Watching an ugly game led by Bucs Medical and Mr Magoo, with the home team wearing a uniform honoring the losingest franchise in sports history sounds like a second choice to a cold meat pie.
Why. Nevermind.
September 19th, 2025 at 2:20 am
Down to $73 on TickPick right now. OTD. No Hidden Fees.
September 19th, 2025 at 2:53 am
Its the creamsickle curse, ban them back into oblivion, injuries and a weak crowd, yep, just like the old days. Fans packed the house early on, but the incessant losing drove them away.
Creamsickle curse is actually very fitting for all the fake hoopla about a nasty WINLESS uniforn and very rough time for the team and fans.
Very thankful for the Super Bowl Red they have, ban the crappy cursed unis.
Please Bucs do not complete a cursed cycle and lose on Sun to a blah Jets team.
GO SUPER BOWL RED&PEWTER BUCS!!!!!
September 19th, 2025 at 10:26 am
Season ticket holder from 1979-2019. Only way you get me back in Ray Jay is a limo and a suite. Gameday experience is so much better at home away from the drunks and idiots. 70 inch tv and the bathroom is 10 feet away. Wouldn’t go for free.
September 19th, 2025 at 2:20 pm
MISCALCULATED THE MARKET? The Glazers have been stealing from loyal Bucs fans for 30 years now and should be used to seeing thousands of empty seats peppering Ray Jay because of it. First strike was the PSL’s, then strike two came with the family using the Super Bowl money on buying Man U and not keeping the Bucs relevant, strike three slid in with The Lost Decade.
The Buccaneers have never recovered these fans and likely never will.
Also, you can buy a 75″ HDTV for less than $500 and stick it on your damn patio – my season tix are $4,000 each
