Loads Of Unsold Bucs-Jets Tickets

September 18th, 2025

It’s the big 50th anniversary home-opener for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

It’s not sold out, despite the hype and the Bucs having two thrilling wins to start the season.

In fact, per a look at the TicketMaster website, which sells unsold Bucs tickets in addition to resale tickets, lots of tickets are available.

You want two or three seats together? No problem. Want to bring a group and sit in the overpriced “cheap” seats? No problem. Every upper deck section has seats available.

On the resale market, the cheapest tickets are going in the $80 range. Face value on the worst seats in the house cost more than $120.00, including tax, for this game. Joe concludes that the Bucs have miscalculated the market. In 2016, a full season ticket in the upper deck could be had for $400.

Perhaps the Bucs will have a big walk-up crowd, hopefully not throngs wearing Jets green.

    I’ll be there.

Seems like 50th anniversary season opener will be a bit special. I imagine they have some cool things planned but I haven’t looked into what that will be.

  3. PaBucsFan Says:

MAUCH IS OUT FOR THE SEASON!?!?! This season is doomed. My Lord this team can’t catch a break with the injuries. Absolutely Crazy. Week 2 every season we lose our so many players. No Wirfs, No Goedeke, and No Mauch. Baker has no chance to. make it through this season healthy! Such a shame!

  4. MadMax Says:

If i ever get lucky enough to make my way down for a game (never been, always broke and working too much, plus im is SC) Im going to try to be on the pirate ship…def will make a weekend of it.

  5. Jeff and Jack's grandpa Says:

Season ticket holder from 2002-2023 and it’s much better and cheaper watching at home

  6. Mac Says:

Mauch is out for the season. This season is toast. No chance Baker is making it through the season unscathed. Total bummer!

  7. Ellisarmy Says:

Coming down from KS, Bday weekend. All these injuries have me worried!

  8. David Kilmer Says:

Hi been a Bucs fan since 1976. I lived in Ca until 9 years ago after retiring and returning here. This year I bought season tickets. This has been on my bucket list for awhile. Anyway I have great seats, but yes incredibly expensive. Over the last few years I purchased single game tickets and they seemed even more expensive!!!. I think you may be right about miscalculating the market. This game should be sold out!! Without a doubt. Their is no other reason why it has not sold out unles people just don’t believe in the team , which does not appear to be the case!.
Anyone who watched Monday’s game should be excited to see this game live

  9. mg Says:

I see the word Jets and smile. – Ever since Annie made the funny about the green object in the end zone and that it wasn’t the jets.

  10. BucU Says:

Game going to be blacked out locally then?
NFL blackouts ended 10+ years ago. –Joe

  11. Costa Rica John Says:

People can’t afford or don’t want to spend what it costs to go to the games anymore. You have to buy tickets, parking and drinks. It’s not cheap.
Personally I would rather watch at home or go to a sports bar.

  12. Gofortheface30 Says:

Well it’s gnna be a 16-13 game, with about 12 punts between each team. In 90 degree heat, because people keep getting injured. It’s gnna be a redzone day, my own liquor and gambling. Baker – my apologies that you’re going to be running for your life. Godspeed

  13. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Geez. I remember paying $5 for cheap seats in the Old Sombrero back in the late 70s. I think they may have been $10 for the 1979 playoffs against the Filthydelphia.

  14. Bucs4Ever Says:

    Best economy ever!!!!!!

  15. Rod Munch Says:

Who’s brilliant idea was it to have a 1p game in September?

  16. VOT Says:

The 1 o’clock September kickoffs are brutal for the large majority of normal people LOL

Projected to be 89 at kickoff with 57% humidity under mostly sunny skies

Better have a few extra Ultras to stay hydrated 😎

  17. View from 132 Says:

Maybe stop wearing cartoon uniforms from the 1970s. Anyone nostalgic about them is too old to attend.

  18. ChiBuc Says:

It is not unusual for NY fans to out number Tampa fans at every venue (rayjay, trop, benchmark). Sad

  19. ChiBuc Says:

    @View, poor excuse and pov

  20. ChiBuc Says:

You guys, who whine about player toughness and “real” fans, sure have a weak constitution and big list of excuses (hot, colors, drive, time of day, cost….). Boo

  21. Billy Bob Bubba Bo Baggins Says:

I never want to see Creamcycle uniforms again. So if I have to miss that game, so be it.

  22. SmokyMountainBucsFan Says:

Born & raised in Tampa, actually Brandon. Been a Bucsfan my whole life. Blessed to be able to retire early. Now i live in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Go to most all the games, every home game. Was in Atlanta @ The Mercedes Benz Dome a few weeks ago. Nothing like sitting amongst the opposing teams fans and having your team take the air out of their lungs and leave with the dub… stadium was packed. Loud no matter who had the ball, cause there was ALOT of us BUC Fans in Atlanta on opening day. Still have a home in Tampa. Kids and grandkids are there. It’s expensive for tickets, season tickets are insane. But if you can do it, then do it. Sure it’s cheaper and nicer to sit home in the a/c. But there’s nothing like being there in Ray Jay supporting your favorite team. We love it

  23. AtrainWD40 Says:

My wife and I will be there… only missed one opening home game since 1987 this is the 50th celebration. I believe in the Bake show 100%

  24. BigZ Says:

I had tix for 16 years Wyche, Tony, JG and Ra. Never had a hard time selling them, for the most part.

I love my Bucs. But they are one of the most expensive tix in the NFL. I live near Atl now and picked up tickets for 64 Bucs. Also less for the Carolina game.

It’s a shame. I’d love to see creamsicle and white in the stands Sunday..

  25. Billy Bob Bubba Bo Baggins Says:

Went to a playoff game last year, and the sound system in the arena was bad. The music was bad, and I was embarrassed to be there with my daughter. Even worse was the crowd. Was embarrassed. They were Drunk, loud, and rude. I had to apologize over and over again to the Washington fan who sat next to me. I am never going to another Bucs game again. Will happily sit in my comfy chair with my sony 95 inch tv above my fireplace with sound bar

Sounds like you should have taken a double dose of Midol before going to the game.

Ava and I are 6 rows from the field by the tunnel, we CANNOT WAIT!!! BAKER FOR MVP!

  28. MelvinJunior Says:

Just a year or two ago, I saw tickets as low as $20-$25 per ticket via SeatGeek for the Carolina game (not bad seats either). And, I saw a few for around $40 last season. These were all like the night before, or morning of the game.

  29. Half_Sc Says:

In this region in this state, in this country? The average person can’t afford it. Perhaps if we establish some regulation and control over how much the rich can charge, prices will become more reasonable.

It’s $14.95 for one pint of beer at RayJay, lol, it’s greedy
