The biggest problem on offense is the fact that Baker is running for his life. Not sure what happened that heck is not starting at left tackle but it completely rearranged 60% of our offensive line playing out of position and in positions they haven’t really practiced.
I almost think if there’s a problem with heck they should have tried Checkwuma for a few series to see what he could do and keep Bredeson and Barton at their natural positions. Bradison has only played center five times in his career and I don’t think had any reps with Baker going into this game. Somebody from the practice squad is playing starting lifeguard why not Cline

If I can see a problem it has to be a big problem.., There it was about half way through the 2nd qtr. 3rd down for Atl. 7 to go. Dean is BEHIND the line to gain, quick pass to his receiver and by the time Dean tackles him it’s 1st down!!! Next play, 1st down and Dean is playing press coverage, play goes to other side. When he’s had time he keeps throwing slightly behind guys letting the defenders recover. It’s just a reps issue, why he should have played some snaps in the preseason. Generally takes at least half a game to make up for not playing, so hopefully he comes out strong.

I am kind of concerned with how Baker is throwing the ball with his stance and motion. Flat footed, sideways, etc.

If it wasn’t for him scrambling for some good runs he has looked awful.
I am really quite disappointed with our play. I know at this point in the game we are winning but we have squandered opportunities where we could have been probably 6 to 10 points for the ahead of them between the dropped interception which led to three points.
A missed field goal that is another three points which would have made it 23 to 13 at this point in time.
And baker has missed some throws he should have made which maybe would have led to an additional score.

People see what they want to see. I’m always fair, just call out garbage when people blame everyone else. Also I’m not going to throw a fit about every missed throw in game one when Baker didn’t play the entire preseason because the coach is an idiot. If he’s missing those throws next week, I’ll be calling it out, but basically in game one, this is just making up for missed time, and he just looks sloppy.
At the same time the Bucs are still leading, and Baker is running well to at least keep the offense moving. Lets just hope the defense can hang on, or Baker can make a big play when it matters.
