Rachaad White Is “Day-To-Day”

August 11th, 2025

Official good news on running back Rachaad White today.

Sage Ira Kaufman previously shared the positive report on his Sunday podcast: Rachaad White’s groin injury is not serious. Today, head coach coach Todd Bowles said White is “day-to-day.”

Joe is exhaling. White scored nine touchdowns last seasons and ranked in the top-five in the NFL in catch percentage. That’s a lot to replace.

  2. 813bucboi Says:

after watching owen wright im sure he’ll be practicing this week lol

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  3. Dom Says:

Sit him the rest of the pre season. Need to get rid of this injury bug before the season starts. Coaching staff has to do a better job of not putting their players in bad situations that get them uncessarily hurt

  4. SB~LV Says:

He tweeked it the play before, he should have taken himself off the field. He probably caused more damage on the next running play.
I hope it’s not serious but it sure looked like it was painful. Groin pulls take more than a few days. Fingers crossed, he’s a great player and worked very hard in the offseason.

  5. LakelandBuc Says:

The Bucs continue to disrespect Rachaad White
They ghosted him during the playoff lost to Washington
Then they had him starting the first Preseason game
Like he’s an UDFA fighting for a spot on the PS

This guy.can give you a 1,000 scrimmage yards easily
And he’s a solid blocker, he need to move on from the Bucs

One thing for sure, Andy Reid has his eyes on Bucs players
And he will get them for cheap, win Super Bowls with them

  6. JimBobBuc Says:

Rest him. We need him in week one behind Heck to help in pass pro.

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We are fortunate to have resilient RBs….we’re last year & hopefully this year.

  8. pewter941 Says:

Sean Tucker is a way better runner than White.

  9. Aqualung Says:

Need to sign some running back camp meat, pronto.

  10. First Last Says:

He should honestly move to the slot

  11. BA’s Red Pen Says:

White is a very good RB2.

  12. Eric Says:

Sean Tucker should be the RB2 from now on

  13. pepsi Says:

Thats good.. but I wasnt worried. Tucker is better than White, idk how many more times he needs to prove it..

  14. Beeej Says:

In that entire Washington game we only had 43 offensive plays White had one carry and two targets

“In that entire Washington game we only had 43 offensive plays White had one carry and two targets”

Watched Bucky whiff on a chip and miss Bobby Wagner completely on a blitz pick-up, but pass pro is a barrier for entry for Sean Tucker and White needs to be traded if you listen to some of the folks on here.

Great news! Thank you for the update.

  17. MelvinJunior Says:

Yes. It will nag him all season if they don’t allow it to fully heal. We really need him. A nice weapon to have out there… Just NO RUNS up the freaking middle. ZERO.

  18. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

Tucker should be RB2 regardless of White’s health status.

  19. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

The most effective way to waste an offensive play is to hand the ball of to R White.

  20. ballwasher61 Says:

Tucker should be RB1-B and there’s a case for him to be the starter. This guy is the real deal, the Saint’s game last year proved that and every time he gets his hands on the ball it’s a positive. I’m not so sure his pass blocking is bad, not enough of a sample size. Bucky is quick and great at making guys miss but so does Tucker and he has power, great balance and breakaway speed. He also has good vision and can catch so I don’t understand what the hold back has been. We have 3 really good backs.

  21. MelvinJunior Says:

I was looking at Tucker’s (non combine) stats/measurements yesterday, & HE IS A FREAK ATHLETE. 40-41inch vertical, a very large number of bench press reps, and a supposed 4.3/40-speed. If accurate then he’s a BEAST just waiting to be UNLEASHED.

  22. Rod Munch Says:

Good news on White. To me, as far as groin pulls go, it didn’t look all that severe, it just looked like White was mad that he got hurt and was repeatedly punching himself in the sack because of it. But obviously hard to tell and you never know, but it sounds like it was about as good news as it could be.

  23. adam from ny Says:

yeah if bucky really is the next barry sanders, okay then…

    but that’s yet to be determined…….for real…

rachaad is a damn good football player and pretty much guaranteed 1,000 yards from scrimmage, even with bucky taking the mother load…

they do treat rachaad like a poo-put imho…

we have the best one two punch at rb…….probably even the best 1,2,3…

i’m guessing they think it’s ok to lose him and slot tuck into the number 2 spot next year…

you need to value your backs too…we were lacking good backs for many many years…

    do not overlook rb#2
