    Tez johnson fast

  2. HC Grover Says:

late but great….it is a Football game. Next week We Go

  3. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

    Go. Bucs.

  4. orlbucfan Says:

    Thanks, Joe.

  5. Bucs 95 Says:

    Trask too the waivers

  6. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Scheduled thread for 8pm?

  7. Rod Munch Says:

We’re punting from inside the Bills 40… in the preseason… Classic Big Balls Bowles!

  8. orlbucfan Says:

Trask will have heart failure if he ever gets to play with the first team offense.

  9. Oxycondomns Says:

how do you make the team with trask throwing to you, lol?

  10. BucVoyager Says:

Trask throwing late with the backups, he doesn’t deserve time with the starters.

  11. DrunkInYbor Says:

Kyle looks like such a Biitc…h

Also cut the Moroni idiot who put the ball back into the end zone for a touchback

  12. Durango 95 Says:

Heard it said it would be Trask to back up to start the season. Who knows. Whole thing is a total mystery. Badly managed.

  13. Rod Munch Says:

Again, someone needs to let Bowles know that he’s in the entertainment business. There is no reason not to let that rookie kicker, who isn’t going to make the team anyways, go out and try a FG there, his claim to fame is having a big leg.

No starters, and punting from inside the opponent 40 at home, where people are charged full price for the tickets. Just pitiful.

  14. orlbucfan Says:

You guys are watching on the tube; I’m listening to radio so there will be a time delay.

  15. Fred Says:

Fun to watch, doesn’t mean a thing.

  16. Rod Munch Says:

It’s pitiful to watch the Baker Boi(s) root for Trask to fail because they’re still mad he outplayed Baker in the preseason a couple of years ago. Just very insecure people.

  17. Fred Says:

Coach could use a few laps.

  18. SlurpandMunchMyRod Says:

    Trask looks lethargic.

  19. Rod Munch Says:

Mahomes goes out and plays three drives last night, puts up 17 points, entertains the home fans who go home happy – meanwhile Baker is too delicate to see a single snap all preseason, that’s what Bowles says.

  20. orlbucfan Says:

Buffalo doesn’t sound all that impressive either.

  21. Rod Munch Says:

Buffalo doesn’t sound all that impressive either.

    ——–

They look OK when the refs are bailing them out on every 3rd down.

  22. Rod Munch Says:

Interesting, Greene not returning anything so far – says to me they’re hiding him for a PS slot.

  23. orlbucfan Says:

Rod, I’m not touching that one about the zebs.

  24. Fred Says:

John Griden’s name is back up. It’s about damn time!!

  25. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs got the ball at the 50… Bowles needs to go ahead and call for a punt. Sure it’s only 1st down, but what if we had three bad snaps in a row? Can’t be too safe.

  26. HC Grover Says:

    Scrubs are scrubbin

  27. Rod Munch Says:

    ———-

But he told some off color jokes in private – that’s literally worse than anything Adolf did. He needed to be banned for life, because we all know words hurt (in particular words no one heard – those are the most hurtful).

  28. Bucs 95 Says:

Facts fred coach bowles looking chunky

  29. Rod Munch Says:

This second offensive line looked OK vs the Titans… but man have they sucked since then.

  30. LongSeason Says:

Well. We aren’t blocking very well. So we are making up for it by not tackling.

  31. Rod Munch Says:

Luke Haggard in at RT just got ran over… man, this line has been rough.

  32. orlbucfan Says:

Screw the Chucky worship. He got kicked off the LV Raiders cos he was too stupid to wipe off a few racist emails off his WORK computer. He’s a millionaire so big deal.

  33. Rod Munch Says:

Tez would have 100 yards already if he’d change his cleats and get some traction.

  34. LongSeason Says:

    Tez playing better this week.

  35. Bocabuc Says:

Task is just a waste of a Jersey.

  36. MikeBuc Says:

    @ Rod Munch

“It’s pitiful to watch the Baker Boi(s) root for Trask to fail ”

    Whose Trask? lol.

  37. Rod Munch Says:

Well the left side of the offensive line completely collapses to make up for the right side earlier failing.

  38. orlbucfan Says:

Trask gets sliding and I hope Feisty Bake will do more of it this season.

  39. HC Grover Says:

    Keepin it close.

  40. Stpetematt Says:

You gotta catch that ball, Johnson! Tez Johnson looks really quick/fast. The other Johnson is having a lousy game. So far.

  41. Bucs4Ever Says:

    horrible drop

  42. Rod Munch Says:

I feel bad for Johnson, he won a roster spot to open last year, and it’s been all down hill sense.

Also that was a TD – but the Trask haters will celebrate the drop.

  43. LongSeason Says:

Kam isn’t making the team. Not making the taxi squad either.

  44. orlbucfan Says:

I made a negative comment about Chucky and Joe didn’t like it. Tough.

  45. buc4evr Says:

Kameron is gone. Needs to empty out his locker tonight.

  46. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

Cam Johnson is not helping himself out.

  47. Rod Munch Says:

I got the radio on, which is ahead of the broadcast – so I know what is going to happen so I can watch different things, and this last drive just focused on the offensive line – and this is the play he talked about in the practice threads, it was terrible. Nearly every play it was someone different getting beat so you couldn’t even just focus on one person to give help to. Man, Licht needs to be working the waiver wire.

  48. orlbucfan Says:

Johnson dropped another one…..oh well. At least, 3-7.

  49. Rod Munch Says:

Kameron is gone. Needs to empty out his locker tonight.

    ——–

He’ll probably make the practice squad I’d guess. He looked so good last offseason, but hasn’t done much this year – but they will likely keep him around a bit longer, at least while Godwin and McMillan are out since at least he knows the offense and had some playing time last year.

  50. DrunkInYbor Says:

Cameron tiny Johnson has no balls caught

  51. buc4evr Says:

Desmond looks like he has lost a little weight

  52. orlbucfan Says:

Rod, you know they only have 3 preseason games now. So, cuts have to be made el quicko. Now, the radio is not behind the tube, time wise? Interesting. It’s usually the other way around.

  53. jcscycles Says:

Tez looking like a keeper. He’s the flanker version of Bucky.

  54. LongSeason Says:

Well. That was actually nice for a second.

  55. Lightningvinny Says:

Trask has a good passing % for little yards and no points ,,,,

We aren’t rooting for him to fail , we may need him one day and Bowels made the right call not playing anyone ,,,
    It’s just not worth it

    ———–

I’m saying they’ll probably keep him on the PS until Godwin and McMillan is back, when someone gets moved from the regular roster to PS, at which point Kam will probably be unemployed.

I’m watching the game via streaming – so it’s more delayed than the normal TV broadcast, but the radio is like 20 seconds ahead for me so lots of time to scan the field and look at formations and watch the play develop, I actually kind of like it.

  57. HC Grover Says:

    Feet Ball….Yee Haw.

  58. Bucs 95 Says:

    Sanders getting cut 😔😔

  59. FortMyersDave Says:

Tez could do some things jcscycles but man, with his size, one solid hit and the kid will be snapped in 2.

  60. buc4evr Says:

that is total BS. Sanders took a shot but so did the tight end.

  61. Rod Munch Says:

I have liked Sanders, but what an idiot. You can’t have your dads temper when you got a practice squad player’s ability.

  62. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

See ya later, Shilo. You can take your media circus elsewhere.

  63. orlbucfan Says:

Good for the refs. Getting into regular season. Defensive holding negating a Bills fumble. The usual BS!

  64. Rod Munch Says:

Dang, give the Buffalo receiver credit, that was a ridiculous catch – nothing you can do about that as a defender.

  65. FortMyersDave Says:

It will be interesting to see if the Bucs use a practice squad spot for Sanders, my guess is that tonight is an audition to get one and he is not doing so well.

LOL Munch roots for Mayfield to fail every week….still bitter Baker is making him look like a FOOL years later.

  67. ModHairKen Says:

Sanders is going to get cut.

  68. buc4evr Says:

Refs should have called 2 penalties. Sanders and #82 on the Bills. Refs are already sucking and it’s only preseason. lol.

  69. Coburn Says:

Too bad. By all accounts Shilo has been a great teammate, but he was already a long shot. Both his play tonight and the dumb dq penalty means he’s not making this team. Between him and Kam Johnson the safety and receiver positions got a little easier to decide

  70. Bucs 95 Says:

Since when do we have men cheerleaders 😂

  71. DrunkInYbor Says:

    ———

No, I want Baker to succeed because I want the Bucs to win. What I want is for all the Baker Boi(s) to get super fast acting HIV because they’re such hateable d-bags. Not even Baker likes you psycho nutjob stalkers.

  73. orlbucfan Says:

Rod, thanks for that tech update. That is interesting cos during the regular season, the time delay between the TV and radio is at least 2-3 minutes. Well, sounds like refs gave Buffalo a touchdown.

  74. LongSeason Says:

NFC South record in preseason will be 2-9-1.
Yeah. Our division is the ‘most’ talented at losing.
    After this Game
    Tampa 2-1
    New Orleans 0-2-1
    Atlanta 0-3
    Carolina 0-3
Is this a race to the bottom?

  75. Coburn Says:

I think we keep 4rb… Josh can play special teams

  76. Rod Munch Says:

    Lots of big returns tonight.

  77. Rod Munch Says:

    orlbucfan Says:
sounds like refs gave Buffalo a touchdown.

    ——–

No, not all that, that was an incredible catch by the Buffalo WR, some times you just tip your hat – that was one of those plays, Hall was all over him and he just stuck out a hand and snagged the ball, looked to me like both feet where in, but it was close. Still, such a great play, and in the preseason, I wouldn’t get mad about it.

  78. DrunkInYbor Says:

I don’t give a flying F. If we lose. I don’t like seeing the other team making fun of us and giggling like girls who just talked to their first crush. If Blows cany find at least some scrubs who want to fight. Then this is a lat season because he thinks he’s talented enough to cruise

  79. LongSeason Says:

    Tez, safe at third.

  80. DrunkInYbor Says:

That was NOT a catch he didn’t control that ball until his knee was out of bounds. The rules change way to much. So in slow motion if the ball is stopped at o.o1 seconds and you foot touches when you bring the ball in after your out of bounds it’s a catch.2

  81. Bucs 95 Says:

Why is grizzard in the booth ?

  82. Rod Munch Says:

Tez 7-for-7 so far on receptions. Time to sit him down, he’s made the team for sure.

  83. orlbucfan Says:

Can we spare the wise cracks about Bowles’ name tonight? That is SERIOUSLY like old.

  84. Coburn Says:

I think we have seen enough of tez. Just need to decide the last spots

  85. jcscycles Says:

Ted putting on a show. Jason Licht – draft more Ducks!

  86. LongSeason Says:

    That’s called good patience

  87. Tbbucs3 Says:

Josh Williams looks better than overrated Sean Tucker

  88. BucVoyager Says:

Josh Williams and Tez Johnson are making this team

  89. orlbucfan Says:

Tez Johmson has made the team.

  90. David Says:

For those mentioning John Gruen’s name back up… it was there in May with AC/DC… I think.
It was definitely there when I saw Metallica in June.

  91. Shak Says:

Can’t put williams on the PS.

  92. orlbucfan Says:

    Johnson.

  93. Bartow Buc Says:

83 Tez is looking much better tonight, happy to see it !

  94. David Says:

Kam Johnson has just played himself onto the practice squad.
Tez and Ryan Miller are securing WR spots.

  95. Bartow Buc Says:

Trask looks more comfortable as well

  96. orlbucfan Says:

Whoa, it’s the Johnson/Williams show. I’ll take it.

  97. Rod Munch Says:

    Tbbucs3 Says:

Josh Williams looks better than overrated Sean Tucker

    ———-

I’m not nearly as high on Tucker as others, but he’s had some awful blocking the last couple of weeks. But Williams does look good. Not sure he’ll make the roster though, lots of teams have RBs who look good vs backups – but he’ll certainly be a PS guy, I don’t think the Bucs have to worry about him getting snatched up.

But if we can trade Tucker for a 1st (laughably one of the Tucker backers said the Bucs should reject a 1st round pick for him) – then sure, take the pick and put Williams on the regular season roster.

  98. Hodad Says:

Cam Johnson needs to be cut at the half. Run game working now that Klien is no longer at center.

  99. Rod Munch Says:

With Godwin and Wirfs on the active roster but likely not playing for at least two weeks, very unlikely the Bucs keep 4 RBs – but I could certainly be wrong. Regardless Williams is safe for the PS, I just don’t see anyone snagging him based on very limited tape.

  100. jcscycles Says:

    Josh Williams is a keeper.

  101. FortMyersDave Says:

David is right, Gruden’s name was silently put back up without ceremony some time before the Metallica concert. Glazers definitely kept it low key.

  102. Rod Munch Says:

2nd and goal… time to kick a FG, can’t be too safe, got to worry about a bad snap or two.

  103. LongSeason Says:

    TD TEZ!!!

  104. Bucs4Ever Says:

nice catch…looks like he’ll be the 5th or 6th wr

  105. HC Grover Says:

It is close! Put Blooper in with the super scrubs.

  106. buc4evr Says:

Tez is in, wondering about Palmer and Miller now?

  107. FortMyersDave Says:

TD for Tez, this could be the last TD Kyle Trask throws as a Buc depending on how things go in the second half.

  108. Bucs 95 Says:

Man we have some ugly cheerleaders

  109. orlbucfan Says:

Trask oughta run a bootleg option.

  110. Rod Munch Says:

TEZ 8-for-8 with a TD on the night, good for him, all the nutjob haters talking trash about him last week.

WOW, does a ridiculous gymnastics routine after the TD – that was something.

  111. jcscycles Says:

Tez for the TD and the backflip.

  112. LongSeason Says:

Tez is changing my mind this week.

  113. Bartow Buc Says:

Wow what a show of athleticism by 83 Tez !! Go Bucs !!

  114. Hodad Says:

Still think this kid can’t play?

  115. Bartow Buc Says:

Nice touch on that TD pass from Trask !!

  116. FortMyersDave Says:

Is it time for the Bucs’ revered 2 minute prevent D to drop a deuce before halftime?

  117. Rod Munch Says:

Yo coach, this is Ted ‘Hospital Ball’ Bridgewater, and just letting you know I won’t be available to play tonight with the scrubs, I got a cold or something, so you’ll just have to go with my tape with the 1st team offense, I was sooo good I’m a lock for the roster, everyone wants me.

  118. Bartow Buc Says:

No sir I think 83 has a lot of potential. Last week I was worried

  119. David Says:

I started late, I just got to where Sanders got thrown out. That should’ve been penalties on both of them. Regardless, for a rookie trying to make the team, that was a bonehead mistake.

  120. Rod Munch Says:

How the heck do you do what Tez did there, he literally looked like he was on a spring board. He’s got a career as a cheerleader if football doesn’t work out.

  121. orlbucfan Says:

I don’t think Johnson will be on the practice squad, He will be in the final 53.

  122. LongSeason Says:

I want Trask to make the QB 2 decision very difficult.

  123. Durango 95 Says:

Trask 13-17 93 yards TD. Should have been 2 TD if not for the drop.

  124. Shak Says:

Cam Johnson really salty on that bench when trask was dapping everyone up.

  125. Bucs4Ever Says:

@david – I agree on offsetting penalties but you can swing on the opponent, Lack of maturity. He just got cut.

  126. orlbucfan Says:

A bit O/T. How about Grizzard calling a few bootleg options this season?

  127. Bucs4Ever Says:

    Crap defense

  128. Bye bye trask Says:

    Bye bye Trash

  129. GoneGator Says:

Damn…. Tez trying to make some of y’all look like complete idiots. 🤣.
Where are all the he’s a “dwarf” and not a football player commenters?

  130. FortMyersDave Says:

Bartow Buc: I do think that Tez will be an asset for the Bucs this season and will surprise a lot of people. he looked good tonight, hopefully he will be smart enough and lucky enough to avoid a cheap shot hit that could sideline a kid his size.

  131. Bye bye trask Says:

Hey Trash ( trask) time to move back home to ya family’s trailer park & marry ya little sister…CONGRATS !!!!

@david – I agree on offsetting penalties but you can swing on the opponent, Lack of maturity. He just got cut.

    ———

The first punch is likely offsetting, but a blatant full roundhouse 2nd punch is what gives him no cover and got him kicked from the game. I like Sanders, was rooting for him to at least be a PS guy, but what a stupid decision. You got to keep your cool.

  133. firethecannons Says:

    Elijah Roberts coming along wow!

  134. Bucs4Ever Says:

why did Todd call a time out? He’s garbage.

  135. David Says:

    Bucs4ever

I agree. I think Sanders was probably going to be cut anyway. He seems like a good football player just did not get daddy’s speed.

  136. LongSeason Says:

If we hadn’t taken that timeout to set defense, the clock would have run out.

  137. Bucs 95 Says:

why did Todd call a time out? He’s garbage.

    ———–

He only found out before the game you can’t collect preseason timeouts, they don’t roll over to the regular season — so he’s using them up.

  139. David Says:

What I am noticing is the depth they have at safety and corner and wide receiver and running back… Almost everywhere except offensive line.
I have not been impressed with these backup offensive lineman.

That said, I guess you really need to watch each individual to see how they do because as a unit it’s pretty much impossible for them to play well together at this point.

  140. LVMYBUCS Says:

Bowles doing dumb Bowles stuff already

  141. BassCrazy Says:

Let’s get artistic at linebacker(s) Jackson Bullock?

  142. Lightningvinny Says:

So Trask 13-17 93 yards ,,, that’s works when you have a top 5 D ,,,, and who knows , maybe we will,,, at least Trask is getting experience if we need him to be QB2

  143. Stallworth Says:

Reporter: “Trask had a good half” Bowles: “Tez Johnson had a lot to do with that.”

  144. Hodad Says:

Defense keeps losing contain on the QB. This chomp looks like Mike Vick against our scrubs.

  145. Lightningvinny Says:

Our scrubs are losing to Bills scrubs who got wiped out last week

  146. jcscycles Says:

Tez and Bucky have the same games. Quick, elusive, avoid the big hit and always fall forward.

Evans-Egbuka- Tez-Shepard and Jmac when he heals up.

  147. DrunkInYbor Says:

Trask sucks badly. Your blind or just watching stats. He’s scared and throws the ball away before his blocking has even finished. Trade him for a bag of dirt weed and a polyester sweater at least Mclown had faith and chucked the rock. Why are we not throwing the ball down the field. Give the fans so.wthimg to have fun about. This reminds me of a typical Blows Todd game he blows it sometimes. It’s a dumb preseason game but it’s just got that gross feel to it

  148. orlbucfan Says:

17-10. Halftime. The convenient defensive holding call on the Bucs helped the Bills get that touchdown. Still Sanders blew it in a real STUPID way. Plus, it’s preseason. Johnson has made the team. Just listened to Bowles as he came off the field.

  149. Bucs4Ever Says:

Bowles and Co making rookie mistakes still with clock mgmt

No way this guy ever wins a SB as a head coach. Sorry folks. Horrible extension by the Glazers. I think we can do better with the talent we have. Defensive guru whose defense sucks.

Hopefully, this is the last season of Todd. SMDH.

  150. Hodad Says:

Bowles doesn’t like Trask, it’s evident. Trask would have better numbers if Cam Johnson could catch.

  151. orlbucfan Says:

How long have some of you been following the Bucs? We’re back to the Bowles b1tching, and it is so old, it’s frozen.

  152. David Says:

Trask is the #2. He was good against Tennessee and he’s been good today. Teddy was very average and cost the team Jalen McMillan for a couple months from one of the balls he floated. Yes, he had a couple nice touchdown passes, but not enough to be the number two.

Tez and Ryan Miller have definitely made it as wide receivers and Cam Johnson has definitely got himself cut. I haven’t heard from Jarrett or Greene so far.

Also, great sack by the rookie DT/DE

  153. BucaneroJim Says:

Teddy is sick… so let Baker play the second half with a third string… right? Let’s see how he does with the scrubs. Really?… Trask never gets a pre-season with full first string, but Teddy does. Put Baker in tonight and let’s compare oranges to oranges.

  154. Stallworth Says:

This Bowels defense is quite something. I’ve never seen a defense that can make a camp meat QB look so good.

  155. David Says:

    Orlbucfan

Totally agree. Todd Bowles has been a very good head coach. People point to one or two bad calls over the course of four years as if every other head coach in the NFL hasn’t done the same thing. It’s ridiculous.
The players love the guy and like playing for him. That’s what counts, not some dude with a Bud on his couch bitching

  156. HC Grover Says:

This is going to bw Close. The Boeles way

    Teddy is sick…

    ——-

It should read, Teddy is “sick” — in quotes.

  158. Hodad Says:

Two words. Za Darius Alexander. Not hating on Bowles, Trask is not his guy, Teddy is. Teddy will be the backup, it’s a done deal.

  159. David Says:

    Stalworth

It’s kind of a clueless statement. If it wasn’t for him being DC, they don’t win the division three of the last four years. They’ve had zero pass rush, but are top 3 in the NFL in sacks over the last few years because of him.

And now you’re judging it on what? Third string guys who may or may not be on the team in five days?

  160. Bartow Buc Says:

Fort Myers Dave: we agree on Tez’s potential. Baker and crew will bring him along and make an NFL receiver out of him. He’s not there yet. I’m not sure what his 40 time is, but I have a feeling he’s a speedster.

  161. buc4evr Says:

Barstow Buc. 4.50. slow but shifty.

  162. orlbucfan Says:

They call holding on either of these teams yet?

  163. David Says:

Teddy had two good passes and floated a bunch, one of them costing the team Jalen McMillan for most of the year. Travis has had two good games and one game where he played with a bunch of scrubs that are third string or probably not on the team.

Why do people think suddenly Teddy Bridgewater is the answer?
I am not a huge fan of Trask, I think it was a waste of draft pick at this point, but he knows the players and the offense and has been groomed to be the back up for the last few years.

    The job should be his

  164. Hodad Says:

Horrible 2nd, 3rd string defense. Todd’s complex system doesn’t help. It take players 3 years to learn it. Someone dick up Monte Kiffin ASAP!

  165. LongSeason Says:

Did Joe get a shout out?

  166. orlbucfan Says:

This is the first preseason game that Buffalo has led. Somehow, I am not impressed.

  167. Rod Munch Says:

Tez is not a 4.50 runner, his speed at Oregon in pads during games, was over 22mph, when I ran the numbers earlier this offseason he’d have had the 5th or 6th fastest mph time in the NFL last year. All you have to do is watch him play to know he’s not a 4.5 WR, regardless of his measured time.

  168. Bucs 95 Says:

Why didnt they keep trask in i dont wanna watch ballzsacks at QB

  169. buc4evr Says:

palmer is playing himself out of a job

  170. Rod Munch Says:

Balzsack runs that same passing play over and over, and he can make that throw – but just about every other throw he’s wildly inaccurate. Not saying he can’t ever make another throw, but he misses guys all the time in college, and from Joe’s camp reports he kept doing that, then was doing it the last two weeks as well. But he can make that 7 yard throw in the middle OK.

  171. orlbucfan Says:

Tez might not be Speedy Gonzalez, but he’s impressed me. Johnson just did it again on a kickoff.

  172. Rod Munch Says:

Teddy had two good passes and floated a bunch, one of them costing the team Jalen McMillan for most of the year.

    ==========

And those two ‘good’ passes were remarkable catches by the receivers – if he was playing with backups, those aren’t caught.

Keep in mind there are people here that wanted Teddy signed OVER Tom Brady, and those people are still around in the comments.

  173. buc4evr Says:

actually Tez ran a 4.51 at the combine. That’s why he fell to the Bucs which looks like a good thing for us.

  174. Coburn Says:

Yeah pretty sure palmer is gone. He made some catches his rookie year (and dropped some.. never could synch up downfield which was supposed to be his thing). Didn’t do much with all those injuries last year, injured lags couple games, not much tonight

  175. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Most boring preseason in years. Completely meaningless.

  176. orlbucfan Says:

Chase does it again. 13-20. I’m falling asleep so I’ll be calling it a night soon. I’m ready for the regular tech time delay with Bucs Radio vs. the boob tube.

  177. Rod Munch Says:

OMG, will people shut up quoting the underwear 40 time for Tez, it’s not a real number. Watch the tape, watch him run away from guys who were drafted and ran 4.4’s, and look at his measured MPH speed in games – Tez is not a shifty but slow guy, he’s a fast shifty guy. He fell to the 7th because he weighted well under 160 pounds.

  178. LongSeason Says:

Do we have the Smurf safeties

  179. MadMax Says:

Gj Elijah, love seeing one i pushed for doing good.

  180. Scott Says:

What’s up with the terrible defense!?! The bears shut these guys out last week.

  181. orlbucfan Says:

    Joe has tech gremlins.

  182. FortMyersDave Says:

A lot of times, players can have “football” speed which does not translate to simply running a 4.3 second dash but somehow are always where they should be when the ball is thrown and also have some “elusiveness” when they have the ball as well as being able to find the one ole in the defense and can cut and run on a dime. Bucky Irving has these traits, and it seems like Tez might also have them. No one can doubt the kid’s heart, that is for sure.

  183. firethecannons Says:

why not leave Trask in for the whole game, Baselak is not going to win us this game

  184. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs return game has looked really good tonight.

  185. orlbucfan Says:

I’ll post this again: where’s the bootleg options?

  186. Rod Munch Says:

FortMyersDave – Bucky will get run down from behind, much like Doug Martin did. To be clear, I don’t care, you get very few 70 yard plays a year — but Tez, in college, was running away from guys on long plays, including guys drafted in the 2nd and 3rd rounds who ran faster 40 times. Again, that 4.5 40 just isn’t a real number. I don’t know if Tez tests poorly or just had a poor run, but he’s not slow or even average speed wise, he’s a very fast guy.

  187. firethecannons Says:

ughh fumble! damn! I need to be done with this game, Baselak is not going to bring us back from 10 point deficit

  188. Rod Munch Says:

I’ll post this again: where’s the bootleg options?

    ——-

It’s preseason, teams generally don’t run their real offenses. But with as paranoid as Bowles is about injuries, they probably don’t have that in the playbook.

  189. Hodad Says:

Hope Licht scouwers the waiver wire, we need better backups.

  190. BigBoiBuc Says:

Durham is a better receiving TE than Culp.

    —–

Well no doubt, Durham was a really good receiver in college – played like a WR early but got HUGE in his senior year. Culp is very much a developmental guy – a lot of speed but still has a way to go.

  192. Hodad Says:

Backups not ready to play tonight. Defense you’d expect to play better with a defensive guru for a head coach. Don’t worry, we got the heat advantage going for us, those Buffalo boys will be wilting soon.

  193. Hearty Dikerson Says:

Bill’s 8th string backup QB 23 for 27. So glad Bowles had that eureka moment this offseason. Same awful pass D.

    ———-

With as much as I’m annoyed by Bowles, it’s literally stupid to claim him not running his full playbook in the preseason with 3rd and 4th stringers is proof he’s not changed anything. He probably hasn’t, but you’re not going to know from his calls in the 4th quarter of a preseason game.

  195. firethecannons Says:

Hodad so funny yeah anytime now they be a wilting lol

  196. jcscycles Says:

Bills quarterback started the game. We emptied our bench to take a good look at everyone. That’s what these games are for – that and more money in owners pockets. Joe is right .

  197. Hodad Says:

First two preseason games Bowles had his assistants call the defense, and we looked good. Tonight Todd’s calling it. Can you tell?

  198. Rod Munch Says:

This is the point in the game where Sam Wyche brings in Vinny and starters to win the game, set the tone for the season!

  199. Rod Munch Says:

Wait it wasn’t Vinny, but it was the starters.

  200. Whatevs Says:

Someone please check on Rod when his BFF is demoted to #3 on Monday

  201. Rod Munch Says:

Really nice throw by Balzsack, he’s actually had two throws that weren’t in the middle of the field that he was accurate on – huge progress!

  202. Whatevs Says:

If your 5yr backup QB with a total of 11 regular season snaps needs his 15th preseason game to “show” he is the clear #2 against a verified, legit NFL QB, the answer is quite clear.

  203. Bucs 95 Says:

    Ballzsack better then trask

  204. BayouBullet Says:

Rod Munch you should quit your paper route and be an NFL scout

  205. Rod Munch Says:

Help me out real Bucs fans – who was it that put the starters back in at the end of a preseason game because they wanted to win. I remember it being Sam Wyche, but also Vinny Testaverde as the QB, but that’s an impossible combo. I’m more certain about it being Sam Wyche but I can’t find anything about it.

  206. firethecannons Says:

Bowles will kick a field goal here on 4th down

  207. jcscycles Says:

Got to find a way to keep Green

  208. Rod Munch Says:

Wow, what a catch by Greene.

  209. Bucs 95 Says:

Why run it on a 2 point conversion lol up the gut

  210. BayouBullet Says:

I’d help you Rod but I’m busy printing all your posts. I’m going to use them to wipe my ass

That’s not the own you think it is.

  212. Whatevs Says:

Sam Wyche absolutely played starters at the end of preseason games…

    Or was it Schiano

    Or Perkins?

What a coaching legacy in Tampa Bay.

Oh, I forgot the greatest one of all… Todd .500 Bowles

  213. Rod Munch Says:

    There goes the perfect season.

  214. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod, it could have been Wyche in 1992, Vinny’s last year as a Buc and Wyche’s first. The other options are Perkins from ’87 to ’90 and Williamson in 1991. Perkins was renowned for his 3 a days and Wyche was smoke and mirrors. I think you are correct on Wyche but Perkins may have done it as well.

  215. Hearty Dikerson Says:

    Rod Munch says:
Wow, what a catch by Greene.

As nice of a catch that was, it’s literally stupid to assume that’s proof he can do anything against more than 3rd and 4th stringers.

  216. dbbuc711 Says:

I really like that Garrett Greene kid

  217. Stallworth Says:

The Bills QB “who is going to be a truck driver tomorrow” threw 25/30 and 275 yards against Bowles 2nd and 3rd team defense. Not looking good this year. Lets see how Reddick does when he drops back into coverage in a couple of weeks.

  218. Whatevs Says:

Kyle “5 second release” Trask had another unremarkable game against future JV high school QC coaches

  219. Hodad Says:

Horrible defense tonight I don’t care who was out there Todd did not have them ready to play. Be a head coach, let Foote, or Caldwell be your DC. They did a much better job than you calling it this preseason. The players played harder for them. They looked more energetic under Foote, and Caldwell. They looked like you when you call it. Fat, and emotionless. Give it up, let one of your assistants shine. The luster is off you.

  220. Whatevs Says:

Our defense will be bottom five against this year. Bowles is not going to change. Teams know how to beat him. Wasted talent, wasted year incoming.

  221. Rod Munch Says:

FortMyersDave – you’re right, it was likely 1992 – and it was Wyche wanting to run up the score vs the Falcons because he wanted Jerry Glanville. They played in week 2 of the preseason and beat the Falcons 40-28.

  222. David Says:

Some of you pseudo fans are actually upset at coaching and going for 2, and third stringers giving up yards on defense? Sorry, but that’s clueless. This was about individual play for evaluation, nothing more.

  223. Whatevs Says:

How many timeouts does Todd get to take with him to the regular season

  224. Rod Munch Says:

It had to be the 1992 preseason game vs the Falcons where Wyche put the starters back in at the end of the 4th — I remember it was a home game, and in the only other preseason game at home that year they lose like 28-3 to the Browns, so it wasn’t that game.

    Thanks for the help FortMyersDave.

  225. David Says:

    Wow
Just watched TEZ given the interview. As long as someone doesn’t snap his leg in half, this kid is a star!

  226. Rod Munch Says:

If you want something fun to read, search for and article titled; ‘Remember When: The heated rivalry of Jerry Glanville and Sam Wyche’ – that’s why I’m pretty certain it was the preseason game in 1992 vs the Falcons where Wyche put in the starters to run up the score. Wow, he hated Glanville – I had forgot about much of whats in that article. I also remember where Wyche brought in some scrub defensive back, started him at WR just to run out and punch a defender – I want to say it was vs Denver perhaps – anywho he was a fun coach.

  227. Bartow Buc Says:

Good to know Tez is a speedy receiver with great hands!! Bucs have been needing one since AB ran off the field in New York in 2021.
I’m not saying ME 13 and CG 14 aren’t speedy. I mean breakaway speed. Even and leaving speed !!

Can’t wait to see that speed on display in 2025 !!

    Go Bucs !!!

  228. BigBoiBuc Says:

The Bills QB “who is going to be a truck driver tomorrow” threw 25/30 and 275 yards against Bowles 2nd and 3rd team defense. Not looking good this year. Lets see how Reddick does when he drops back into coverage in a couple of weeks.
