Morning Cup Of Joe

August 4th, 2025

Welcome to your Morning Cup of Joe, an eye-opener to help Joe’s readers ease into their busy workday with a few football links, wacky news and a pleasant distraction.

Distraction of the Day

About that deal where BSPN buys NFL Media (including NFL Network and Red Zone Channel), there is just a wee little hurdle the two parties must clear to cement the deal. Hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee. NFL Network may be saved after all. [PFT]

Joe is sorry. Joe cannot take Pittsburgh seriously as a Super Bowl contender. Or Green Bay for that matter. [NFL]

NFL Network being (potentially) sold to BSPN is bad news for Colleen Wolfe, Taylor Bisciotti and Jane Slater. BSPN is “mortified” by hot blondes. [Outkick]

You just know BSPN will screw with its (prospective) new NFL toy. As in “screw up.” Joe is really down in the dumps about this. However, with a little creativity (which is really difficult for BSPN), Red Zone Channel could be a must-watch for all football fans. Joe thinks it would be a total scream if BSPN hired Chris “Mad Dog” Russo to host it. That would be better than any “Seinfeld” episode you could ever think of. Even screamin’ Stephen A. Smith would be an upgrade. Pump life into that boring-arse vehicle. [Daily Mail]

Dan Orlovsky has been infected with Cowherd Disease, where he doesn’t care if he’s accurate. No wonder some of his analysis is such BS. [Awful Announcing]

Nikki Bella of the Bella Twins fame had an, um, well, eeerrr, unique injury. [TMZ]

Kudos to Pete Carroll. Almost felt like he was a professor teaching the class. The professor that everyone wants as their instructor!

So ESPN is mortified by hot blondes because 1 part time employee wrote an article complaining about an apparel ad from a different company?

Man, outkick has really perfected the art of baseless, faux outrage.
