“Fast And Focused” Antoine Winfield In Return
August 19th, 2025Healthy!
Joe will sleep better tonight.
All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr. was back practicing today after being out last week with soreness in his lower body; the Bucs didn’t offer more details.
“He’s fast and focused” is how Todd Bowles described Winfield’s work on the field. “He was flying around today.”
The head coach went on to rave about Winfield’s daily preparation and how he tries to not be satisfied with his play.
Joe’s just happy Winfield is healhty. What a relief, especially with safety Christian Izien injuring his oblique in Saturday’s preseason game. But more important, Winfield is a true playmaker when healthy, and Lavonte David says Winfield will take the torch of the defense when David retires.

This guy is good enough to make the league question it’s camera placement on multiple plays at the goal line. Glad he plays for the good guys.

Seeing is believing. Right now it’s talk, which is cheap and in long supply.

Good news … thanks Joye, now let’s don’t do anything stupid & take unnecessary chances with his health . I really don’t think.he needs to play in any meaningless games. Just practice for conditioning into the regular season we know what he’s capable of and his value as a TEAM leader

Agreed. Feels like a potential smoke screen to keep ATL guessing.

Will Brooks was signed to play a bunch this last pre-season game. Nothing more.
