Who said it so well — “Everyone seems to be pilling on Bridgewater for some crazy reason.” “I can’t go there”

What do we say about the pro football frauds “We don’t know if Jalen McMillan cut the route off short” and “So you can’t blame Bridgewater for hanging his receiver out to dry”.

My favorite podcast and no disappointment today! Though we missed you don’t push it and try to come back too soon Ira. We’re going to need you down the stretch. Joe says he’s not gonna go on a rant about meaningless preseason games and guess what? Yep, he ranted so bad he ran out of breath and almost had an artichoke before his rant subsided. Classic! Then our other Joe thinks Mayfield starts pressing if we lose a couple games in a row. Yeah, Joe, great opinion on that one. Like everyone is blind and hasn’t seen what Mayfield and our team has done after 4 game losing streaks the last couple seasons. Joe was being specific to the beginning of the season without Tristan Wirfs.–Joe That gem of a take even pi$$ed off my old hound almost as much as it did me. We’re not losing 2 in a row this year so maybe you’ll rest easier. But after that pearl of wisdom Joe you oughta suffer insomnia. Seriously. Great job on all you guys do in the preseason and I hope I speak for everyone here-Are you ready for some football!!

On board about preseason games. No blame to Teddy or Todd. Still feeling like Porter did a dirty hit on Jalen. It’s preseason not a game that counts. Not right.

Mike is looking good. 32 years young. Teddy is 32 too. Agree, Ryan does try hard, unfortunately not a number 3. Rooting for Grizz! Coen is in the rear-view window now.

    Healing vibes to Ira!

No chance Dean gets traded for a reciever. I cant see them investing heavily in a new reciever. Perhaps a cut from.another team to add depth. If anything they need to add OLB depth. Worst on the team.

The WR situation is concerning right now, but IMO they’re not trading Jamel Dean for a WR. It just doesn’t make sense:

    1. Dean is probably our best corner. Beyond Parrish, we’re not exactly deep at CB either (maybe Hall will stay healthy and be good?). And Parrish still hasn’t played a down a in real game. Morrison is injured right now, and also a rookie.

    2. Trading Dean would require a WR that is at least a #2 caliber… which makes sense for a month or 2, but then what when CG and J-Mac are both back?

IMO it’s more likely the trade or pickup a WR3 who gets cut, and will rely on EE being the #2, with Sheperd and Miller in the next 2 spots.

We were probably already going to see an extra emphasis on the run game with Wirfs out, I imagine this will be even heavier now…

Also worth noting we have a bunch of RBs and TEs who can catch… This will be a nice test for Grizzard to start his OC career lol!

Get well soon over there Sage. The “Two Nudniks” filled in admirably for you today.

  7. Dreambig Says:

If Dean is our actually our best corner, we are in serious deep trouble.

  8. Dreambig Says:

Ladies and Gentleman, the opposing team has the ball, 3rd and 9 on the 30 yard line. Dean lined up on the 42. Ball is hiked, receiver runs out route to the 40, Dean back peddles to the 46, BALL CAUGHT at the 41!!!!, tackle made by Dean at the 43! 1st and 10 at the 43 yard line!!!

If I had a nickel for everytime this scenario has unfolded over the last few years I would have a few hundred extra bucks. I am being a little silly here, but come on, this can’t be the best we have.
