Morning Cup Of Joe

July 2nd, 2025

Welcome to your Morning Cup of Joe, an eye-opener to help Joe’s readers ease into their busy workday with a few football links, wacky news and a pleasant distraction.

Distraction of the Day

The future of T.J. Watt. (As for him being tradebait? Nah, he just doesn’t want to deal with training camp. He’ll sign with the Steelers the middle of next month, just watch.) [PFT]

So Pat Mahomes is over the hill? smh [CBS]

Giants running back Tyrone Tracy aiming for 1,500 yards on the ground this fall. Not with that offensive line in New Jersey you won’t. [Yahoo!]

Best draft value at running back this century. [NFL]

McDonald’s in Italy is just different. Weirdly, for the first time in a couple of years, Joe has a hankerin’ for a Big Mac. (Sausage McMuffin is the best thing on that menu.) [TikTok]

Browns share renderings of what their new domed stadium/mixed use complex will look like. End of an era. Pretty soon the only truly cold-weather stadiums will be Green Bay, Seattle and Buffalo. #Sad [Cleveland Browns]

Drama queen Aaron Rodgers reportedly hates TMZ. Sure, Jan. [Awful Announcing]

How the Steelers trying to copy the 2020 Bucs is good for both the NFL and its media partners. [Front Office Sports]

Hoo, boy. Herschel Walker has done very well for himself in the food business. [Sportico]

How much is Alabama going to beat Florida State by next month? [Outkick]

Bus-ted! [TikTok]

That Browns stadium is something else looking at the images. So glad the Bills and a couple of others kept theirs in the cold weather. Love the snow games. Their fans do too.

    McDonald’s in Italy

I retired to Thailand in 2021. Spent the first few weeks in Bangkok eating mostly Spiced down (by request) Thai food. Decided to go out to McDonalds for something a bit more familiar. Ordered a Spicy Chicken sandwich (ignoring the spicy on the name) thinking what could go wrong? It’s Mickey Ds….Wrong! I was able to eat the fries though. LOL

A must see is the Mcdonalds in Porto Portugal ! The most beautful Mickey D’s in the world by far. Although I didn’t order anything …LOL

On vacation in Copenhagen this week, saw a Korean Kimchee Whopper at BK advertised in the window. Zero interest, but thought it fascinating. The McDonald’s restaurants here are packed and not just by tourists.

Only remaining cold-weather teams? I think it still gets pretty cold in Pittsburgh, Denver, Baltimore, New England, New York, and Chicago.

  11. Jmarkbuc Says:

Didn’t LA play Philly in the snow ❄️ in the playoffs?

    Day 1-76:

Chicago is looking for a dome.

Pittsburgh, Denver, Baltimore aren’t frigid like Green Bay or Buffalo. Same with Mew York.
