Body Makeover For Elijah Klein
July 24th, 2025Joe said several times last year on the Ira Kaufman Podcast that rookie sixth-round-pick guard Elijah Klein didn’t look like an NFL player.
The pride of University of Texas at El Paso played six years for the Miners and measured 6-4, 306 pounds at his Pro Day.
Still, Klein’s body didn’t stack up to his fellow Bucs offensive linemen last season. That’s no longer the case.
Todd Bowles said today he’s excited to see what the new-look Klein does next week, when the Bucs will wear pads in practice for the first time and be able to hit each other.
“Obviously, I got a good look at [Elijah] Klein. I really think he changed his body in the offseason,” Bowles said.
Joe did a little digging after practice and was told Klein was never out of shape. He simply devoted himself to building a true guard body and took every advantage of the Bucs’ resources, which are a few levels up from UTEP.
Joe’s very eager to see Klein, too. He’s sure to play plenty in preseason. When’s the last time Buccaneers Ring of Honor general manager Jason Licht whiffed on drafting on offensive lineman, 2014?

Elijah Klein Fun Fact
Elijah was picked with the 44th Pick of the 6th Round.
There are only 32 teams in the NFL.
32 extra compensatory picks were selected in rounds 3-6 prior to Elijah.
THAT MEANS: If the draft was just 32 picks per team per round, Elijah’s natural draft position would have been the last pick of the 7th round.
Elijah Klein is the real Mr. Irrelevant!

I was wondering about him. Excited to see what he does.
July 24th, 2025 at 4:56 pm
Sounds good but can he play left tackle?
July 24th, 2025 at 4:59 pm
He’s the swing guard we need

July 24th, 2025 at 5:25 pm
He looks tough.
July 24th, 2025 at 5:28 pm
Baldinger seemed to love his film after last year’s draft. He featured Klein twice on his YouTube thing, if I remember correctly.

Off topic help needed….I live up in Citrus County…All I HAVE IS AN IMAC DESK TOP…Can anyone steer me to a way to watch all the Buc Games on it? I am low tech. No Phone and No tablet. Just an internet.

Desmond Watson should have taken a page from Kliens book but in reverse, get serious young man, you only get one shot.
July 24th, 2025 at 6:23 pm
Hi Grover, NFL.com has some kind of membership where you can stream any game you want. That’s about the only way I can think of.
July 24th, 2025 at 6:24 pm
HC Grover:
YouTubeTV.
July 24th, 2025 at 6:24 pm
hc grover, check out NFL +. streaming games but there is a monthly fee. there are two levels as I recall. if it is an older imac no idea if it has the bandwidth to handle streaming?
July 24th, 2025 at 6:29 pm
@HC Grover
I normally watch my TV via my PC.
You can pay for NFL Sunday ticket and watch ALL the games. I would think it would work via Mac and Internet only. I get it thru YouTube TV which makes recording games easy too. It’s not cheap really but without it I’d get maybe a handful of games per year I cared about instead of every game every week.
Not sure if that helps but that’s been my solution.
July 24th, 2025 at 7:08 pm
HC Grover … Got the part about no phone & no tablet, but hopefully you have a TV. Broadcast TV (over-the-air) of a BUNCH of stations can be picked using a cheap flat antenna ($20-$30) and doesn’t even require internet. I live in Brandon and can pick up about 60 stations (including all the local ones like NBC, ABC, Fox, etc) just using that. I use my 2 (a Mohu & a Winegard) as backups in case of power failures (have a backup battery to run the TVs & lights & yes refrig).
You might also check Apple’s App Store (access via your iMac) to see what free apps (no subscription charges) they have that allow TV access via streaming. Yes you can watch TV on your iMac with the appropriate apps. Others have mentioned YouTube TV already for access, but that costs about $80 a month. That’s the one I use for access to sports mostly, but I get that that cost may not be in the cards.
Plan B by the way is to find a nice local sports pub. Can be a lot of fun on game days.

DR
How long have you lived in Brandon?
July 24th, 2025 at 8:46 pm
Bucs signed veteran offensive lineman Michael Jordan, per Oliver Thomas of Forbes Sports and second year tackle Tyler McLellan according to JC Allen.
July 24th, 2025 at 9:24 pm
DR does it again! A simple antenna still works great. Many games are on the four major networks available via an antenna. The streaming companies act like antennas don’t work anymore.
July 24th, 2025 at 9:44 pm
You can also watch some games on the Bucs website.
July 24th, 2025 at 9:58 pm
Not sure people saying antenna have ever lived as far north as Citrus country – you’ll need a large outdoor antenna to pick up anything, there’s almost no chance of getting Channel 13 with an indoor antenna at that distance. If you give it a try, let us know how it goes.
Also don’t overlook asking our AI overlords, if you tell it where you live, what you’re trying to do, it should be able to give you a better idea of your options as far as antennas go.
July 24th, 2025 at 10:06 pm
Actually I went ahead and posed this question to our AI overlords for you, here’s what it says – and I suggest you follow the instructions precisely as so not to anger them…

If you live in Citrus County, Florida, and only have an iMac desktop with internet (no phone, no tablet), here’s how you can watch Tampa Bay Buccaneers games—legally and without needing extra devices. These options will cover both streaming and antenna-based solutions.
—
**Streaming Services (All work in a browser on an iMac)**
* Hulu + Live TV – This gives you access to CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, and NFL Network. Most Bucs games will air on one of these channels depending on the day. Hulu’s live service works in your browser and includes cloud DVR so you can record games. It also includes local channels based on your ZIP code.
* YouTube TV – Similar to Hulu + Live TV, but with one key bonus: it offers NFL Sunday Ticket (at extra cost), which gives you access to all out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. If you want every single Bucs game even when they’re not on in your local area, this is the best choice.
* FuboTV – Another option with live access to CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, and NFL Network. It also works in the browser with no mobile device required. Fubo has a good interface and offers a free trial for new users.
* Paramount+ – This service gives you access to the CBS games only. If you just want to watch the Bucs games that air on CBS (usually Sunday 1 p.m. games), this is a cheap and easy option.
* Peacock – This gives you access to NBC games only. You’d only need this if the Bucs are playing on Sunday Night Football.
* Amazon Prime Video – Thursday Night Football games are streamed here exclusively. If the Bucs are scheduled for a Thursday night game, you’ll need this to watch it live. Works in a web browser.
All of these services can be signed up for and used directly in your iMac’s internet browser. You don’t need a phone, app, or special hardware. Just a working internet connection and a way to pay online (credit/debit card). Many of these services offer free trials that last 5 to 7 days, so you can test them out before committing.

**What games air on what days**
* Sunday afternoon games usually air on CBS or FOX.
* Sunday night games air on NBC.
* Monday night games air on ESPN.
* Thursday night games air on Amazon Prime Video.
* NFL Network sometimes carries exclusive games (especially international games or Saturday late-season games).
If you want to catch **every** Bucs game, especially if you’re out of the Tampa area, you’ll want YouTube TV with NFL Sunday Ticket. Otherwise, Hulu + Live TV or FuboTV will cover most games in-market.
—
**Antenna Option (Free over-the-air local games)**
If you want to avoid paying monthly and are okay with only getting the Bucs games aired in your local market, you can use an over-the-air TV antenna.
However, there’s a big catch in Citrus County: you’re pretty far from the major broadcast towers (mostly located in Tampa or Orlando, about 70 to 90 miles away). Because of that distance, most **indoor antennas will not work** reliably.
Here’s what you’ll need:
* A high-powered **outdoor antenna** with at least a 100-mile range.
* The antenna should be mounted high up—ideally on your roof, chimney, or a tall pole to reduce obstruction and get a clear signal.
* It should be **multi-directional** to catch signals from different towers or a **rotating directional antenna** if you want to fine-tune it.
* From there, you run a coaxial cable into your TV’s digital tuner (standard in most modern TVs).
* If you want to watch on your iMac instead of a TV, you can buy a USB tuner (like HDHomeRun or Hauppauge) that connects the antenna to your computer.
This option gives you access to FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC, and PBS for free, depending on signal strength. That means you’ll get all Sunday afternoon games on FOX and CBS and any Sunday Night Football games on NBC, as long as they’re airing in your area.
If you live in a low-lying or tree-covered area, you may still have signal issues even with a big antenna, so it’s best to check an online tool like TV Fool or AntennaWeb (on someone else’s phone or computer) to see what channels you’re likely to get based on your exact location.
—
**Bottom line – best setup for an iMac user with no other devices**
* If you want every Bucs game and don’t mind paying, sign up for **YouTube TV with NFL Sunday Ticket**.
* If you’re okay with just getting most games aired locally, **Hulu + Live TV** or **FuboTV** will do the job.
* If you want a one-time equipment purchase and free games going forward, get a **roof-mounted 100+ mile antenna** and point it toward Tampa or Orlando.
* All of these options work on your iMac using a browser. No mobile device or tablet is required.

That should give you everything you need to watch every Buccaneers game this season from Citrus County using just your desktop iMac.

Hopefully he can take a few snaps at center !! I think he def has a chance to be a good NFL guard
July 25th, 2025 at 12:32 am
Look, this guy from Citrus County obviously has at least some kind of internet or he couldn’t post here. Even if he’s using public wifi he can surely find something with Google or Safari. He can also buy a TV tuner box to hook to his computer along with an antenna. Unless Gilligan’s Island is somewhere in Citrus County.
July 25th, 2025 at 1:14 am
At one point maybe 10 years ago I had to use a antenna for a while. The BUCS game was a challenge to pick up, but if I hung it upside down from the curtain rod it worked ok. With digital TV it either works well or not at all. No snowy pics.

“Todd Bowles said today he’s excited to see what the new-look Klein does next week, when the Bucs will wear pads in practice for the first time and be able to hit each other.”
Good news everyone! We get to hit someone on Monday! Go Klein!
Go Bucs!

He looks like he’s 35 years old.
July 25th, 2025 at 11:32 am
Thanks for that info, Rod. I live out of market (NC) and I’m constantly struggling to find ways to watch Bucs games.
I’ll use your info to guide my watching choices this year.
Thanks!
PS: I miss the days of simply turning on the TV at game time and watching. Never had to worry about which platform or what to pay whom. I know I’m dating myself, but TV was so much simpler 20-30 years ago!!! 😉

There is always Bucs Radio. Only problem with some people is it ain’t visual. I’m set as I have (finally) the preseason games. Looking forward to listening. Hope the weather cooperates.cos it’s home game.

Happy to see Klein shift gears. On a side note, do Offensive linemen cross train? Do Guards and Centers train at OT periodically? Very curious.
July 26th, 2025 at 1:09 am
Elijah Klein will play when he learns how to drop into empty pass coverage. Jack of all trades.
