Shilo Sanders Pokes Fun At His Brother

June 22nd, 2025

Shilo Sanders

Undrafted rookie Bucs safety Shilo Sanders may need a miracle to secure a spot on the Bucs’ 53-man roster (the Bucs love fellow undrafted rookie defensive back J.J. Roberts), but he’s already a superstar on YouTube and has continued his online game in Tampa.

This morning, Sanders dropped Episode 2 of his “Tampa Food Tour,” which found its way to Water St. near the Ice Palace downtown.

As Sanders talked to viewers as he strolled toward Boulon Brasserie and Bakery, he found a way to have fun with one of the NFL’s biggest stories of the past couple of weeks.

That would be his younger brother, Shedeur Sanders, getting two high-speed speeding tickets in Cleveland while he tries to win the Browns’ starting QB gig.

“I know we out here in Tampa we got to be careful crossing the street, especially if Shedeur is out here,” Sanders said before laughing.

The comedy continued after brunch with wrestling legend Ric Flair approaching Shilo Sanders in the restaurant and the two reuniting and sharing some laughs.

Per Flair, he and Deion Sanders, Shilo’s dad, have been longtime friends. Shilo recalled time he and Flair spent together years ago.

  2. Teacherman Says:

He is a practice squad candidate.

His feet are too slow for the NFL.

I hope he makes the practice squad.

But he has no chance at the 53 man roster.

Even though I love him. It’s just the truth.

  3. ElioT Says:

No one cares. He’s a UDFA

  4. Shilo Sanders Says:

Teacherman, I will make the starting lineup

  5. Mike C Says:

Practice squad guys can help bring home Super Bowls…… Injuries happen, Alot.

  6. Beeej Says:

How can a kid with 4.5 speed have slow feet?

  7. Truth be Told Says:

Practice squad written all over him for a variety of reasons

  8. SenileSenior Says:

Will the real Shiloh Sanders please stand up? 😛

    Go Bucs!!

  9. SenileSenior Says:

    Shilo

  10. 74 Bucs Fan Says:

Wishing him the best and hope he makes the team (via his skill set only). Nothing wrong with more Bucs publicity.

  11. Mort Says:

That wholesome good influence of Richard Fliehr. yikes.

  12. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

    Gunner 2, maybe?

Free promo for some local eateries because dad probably told he & Sheduer not to come home on the break lol

  13. FilthyAnimal Says:

Still waiting for the article about JJ Roberts instead of a guy who is only mentioned because of celebrity, not at all because of football ability. If his name wasn’t Sanders, he never would have been signed.

    TMZ.

  14. Defense Rules Says:

Filthy Animal … ‘Still waiting for the article about JJ Roberts’.

Wholeheartedly agree Joe. It’s on Joe’s to-do list. Joe’s already got quotes. –Joe We’ve heard a ton about the other rookies but very very little about JJ. Sounds like he’s got a decent chance to make it as the 5th Safety, but hard to judge what Todd will do with his Secondary.

  15. Bojim Says:

I like him. He’s got a good attitude. Life before football. Good luck kiddo. Pulling for you.

  16. FilthyAnimal Says:

Lots of these guys have great attitudes and work hard. They just don’t have the famous daddy to get them attention when they’re not legitimate NFL prospects.

  17. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Undrafted free agent J.J. Roberts out Marshall and his 4.41 speed will beat Sanders for the final safety spot. So far, Roberts has shown to be a great pickup. Might be the Bucs best UDFA of the year.

  18. Aqualung Says:

Very cool and entertaining. Critics of content can always write their own and start a business.

  19. OMFS Says:

He seems cool, hope he carves out a role with the Bucs

  20. Durango 95 Says:

If the young Sanders can help the team win then really that’s all that matters to me. Best of luck to him. He’s making his own way. Being the son of successful father is not always an easy gig. Something I can actually relate to myself. I thought he would be overwhelmed by his new situation but after watching his first video I don’t get that vibe at all. In this league it can all end in the blink of an eye.

  21. Esteban85 Says:

I’m sure there is some buccaneers football in this story somewhere. I couldn’t find it though

Here is a Buc aspect to the Shilo coverage.

Deion Sanders was certainly an accomplished defensive back, and he is a successful college football coach.

When Shilo was not drafted, so far as we know, Deion reached out to exactly one team to help his son Shilo – the Bucs.

Doesn’t that speak to an expert’s high opinion of the Bucs coaching staff and the success the staff has demonstrated in developing DBs.

Deion surely knew that the odds were stacked against Shilo making the Bucs 53 man roster. But still, he set out to get Shilo the best summer residency program possible to enhance Shilo’s chances of eventually catching on somewhere in the NFL.

Watching Shilo’s film and looking at his testing numbers, Shilo could play in the NFL as at least a backup. His raw ability is adequate to be a starter. But, there were some defects in his technique and sometimes in his decision making. Let’s see what a summer under the tutelage of Bucs coaches makes of that.

I see people saying he’s a practice squad guy. Is he? I haven’t seen anything yet that makes me think he’s going to make the practice squad. Maybe another team’s PS. He would need a great training camp and perform really well in the preseason to get a PS gig.
