He’s Back!
June 9th, 2025He’s in the building!
The big prize of free agency for the Bucs this spring, edge rusher Haason Reddick, who has been absent at OTAs, is in the building, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
That means Reddick is at One Buc Palace and has reported for mandatory minicamp.
Our national nightmare is over.
Now Joe fielded texts and calls and even comments on this here very corner of the interwebs why there was such a big deal made of this.
Several reasons. One is this is a down period for NFL news. A guy missing underwear football is news in the otherwise vacuum of news. You know, a small pebble makes a big ripple in an otherwise flat and motionless pond.
Joe also thinks this was news because while other veterans such as Mike Evans, Vita Vea and Antoine Winfield were not at some OTA practices, those guys are drafted veterans drafted by the Bucs who have been on the team for years and have rings to show for their commitment.
Reddick is brand new to the team.
So it appears all of this is water under the bridge, as long as Reddick actually participates in practices that begin tomorrow. Now it’s time to look forward to minicamp the next three days, and hopefully Reddick beasting throughout the season.
New #Bucs edge Hassan Reddick, who has not attended voluntary OTAs, is in the building in anticipation for mandatory minicamp, sources say.
Coach Todd Bowles was not concerned, saying, “I'm sure one of these days we'll see him."

Never a doubt. On some side news. Bengals released Pratt. What’s everyone thoughts? I say bring him in. I know Todd said he likes the depth at ILB but I’m not so sure.
June 9th, 2025 at 12:58 pm
Great news! He is light years ahead of Randy “Ghost” Gregory.
June 9th, 2025 at 12:59 pm
Lets work!!
June 9th, 2025 at 1:03 pm
Well, that is good news!
June 9th, 2025 at 1:06 pm
If Reddick is going to suffer from not attending a week’s worth of non-contact drills, we’re in bigger trouble than him attending OTAs would have fixed.
June 9th, 2025 at 1:06 pm
Thank heavens!
I wasn’t concerned he’d pull a Randy Gregory.
I do think he could’ve and should’ve come to the voluntary OTAs, etc.
Either way, I’m glad he’s in the building and ideally this is the start of a season that’ll mirror the kind of seasons he had with the Eagles.

Agree. I know some other fans are high on our backup linebackers. Not me as much.
Pratt seems like a day one starter to me. Has had a good career.
This seems like more of a cheap ownership move than anything else to me. The Bengals drafted two linebackers in the 2025 NFL Draft (Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight) really more to not pay Pratt similar to what they are doing with Hendrickson.
He’s one of four NFL players with at least 300 tackles, 5 INTs, and 5 FFs since the start of the 2021 season. Was a team captain. I think Pratt fits the “I Am That Man.” concept.

Glad he’s here..
But he’s far from our National nightmare.

Under 5 sack season incoming from this guy

Ok, here is my double down on getting Germaine Pratt in the style of Jason Licht with considerable help from AI:
Alright, so we’re looking at Germaine Pratt through the “I Am That Man” lens, the kind of player we’re always scouting for here in Tampa. You know, it’s not just about the measurables, though Pratt’s got those – a solid 6’3″, 250 pounds, good combine speed at 4.57. But for us, it’s about what’s inside.
Here’s why Pratt shows flashes of “that man” we’re looking for:
Love for Football and Dedication: This is huge for us. Pratt consistently improved his play in Cincinnati, setting career highs in tackles, reaching 143 in his final season there. That kind of year-over-year production, continually getting better, shows a real dedication to his craft. He’s been durable, too, playing in 96 games with 88 starts over six seasons, including a 61-consecutive-game streak. That speaks to a man who loves to be on the field and putting in the work.
Competitive Toughness and Playmaking: We talk about competitive toughness all the time. Pratt shows that. He’s known for his run and chase ability, getting sideline-to-sideline, and exploding into tackles. But beyond that, he’s a turnover machine. Seven interceptions, seven forced fumbles in his career. He’s one of only four players since 2021 with 300+ tackles, 5+ INTs, and 5+ FFs. That’s a guy who plays with a fire, always looking to make a game-changing play. And let’s not forget that game-winning interception against the Raiders in the playoffs – that’s a clutch play in a high-pressure moment, the kind of competitive toughness we value.
Leadership Potential: Pratt was a defensive captain for the Bengals. He’s expressed a desire to improve himself and help others around him. His transition from safety in college to a full-time linebacker shows a willingness to adapt and grow. That’s a sign of a professional.

Whew! Time for Reddick to get back to form.
June 9th, 2025 at 1:23 pm
I am happy with the teams current depth and don’t think they need to spend unless an early injury forces their hand a bit.
Having said that, if the Bucs were able to bring in Pratt or Kyzir White or CJ Mosley provided his health was in good order, I think a lot of us would sleep better knowing we had extra depth around. I think the CB room is fine but lots of vets out there in that market as well, a veteran S would be a nice addition.
June 9th, 2025 at 1:27 pm
Yay! So happy he is there. Can’t wait for the season!
June 9th, 2025 at 1:35 pm
I think Bowels should be fired over this!

Wait. The dude’s in the building.
Never mind.

Thankfully now people can stop crying about it
June 9th, 2025 at 1:39 pm
Hey Joe, I think you can call your heart doctor and tell him that you feel great after all, Reddick has entered the Palace!!! Welcome to the Bakery Sir. Glad you’re here and hope you can show these young guys a little something. Thank You and have a great season.. Superbowl or bust.

It’s too early for the political drama when zero people are complaining about Todd Bowles

Might be time to take a step back and review our society when we now celebrate a guy who shows up for work as scheduled.
Did any of you get rewarded today for showing up for work on time?
Agree about Pratt—my guess is he’s gonna want in the neighborhood of 8 mil, the amount he was due this year from the Bengals. If there’s cap room, which I doubt, he’s definitely worth a look-see.
However, it’s probably best to ask Defense Rules if we have the cap space. He knows more than me in such matters.
June 9th, 2025 at 2:24 pm
Reddick’s not quite a panacea for our defense, but if he’s back to form he can make quite a difference in our edge rushing. I think he’s acceptable against the run too from what I’ve read. There was no need for panic because this guy actually wants to play a few more years and fatten his bank accounts. Greed has its uses, I guess
I looked up Pretty. He certainly sounds more promising than Anthony Walker. He will be a lot more expensive but not crazy expensive than Walker. He is, however expected to try to latch on with Indy. Sans that, I’d love to sign him.

Paranoia wasvfueled by last years Randy Gregory saga
June 9th, 2025 at 2:30 pm
Pratt was scheduled to make $5.6 mil or thereabouts. According to over the cap we have $22 mil.
June 9th, 2025 at 2:33 pm
Gregory probably wouldn’t have even made the team anyway.

I spent some time catching up on how Pratt performed and it doesn’t look like he was the same player the last couple of seasons that he was earlier. Kick the tires, sure. Though it doesn’t seem like anyone in Cinncinnati is heartbroken over losing him. Not that TB doesn’t have experience with former star LB’s underperforming.
June 9th, 2025 at 3:10 pm
Let this guy do what he does to be dominant. He trains on his own he’s an elite pro- fresh start- let’s go!
June 9th, 2025 at 3:45 pm
Pratt sounds great but who are we gonna sit for him to start? Or are we already assuming Dennis gets hurt?
June 9th, 2025 at 3:47 pm
geno711 … I’m all for adding another ILB and Germaine Pratt sounds like my version of ‘beast’. At 6’3″ & 250 lbs with 4.57 speed he’s bigger & faster than any of our ILBs.
Looking at his career stats, I’m impressed. Only missed 4 games in 6 years which says a lot about his availability & durability. His tackles just kept going up & up every year (143 tackles in 2024, with 80 of them solo). Only thing I’m not quite sure of is how he’d ‘fit’ in our 3-4 defense (he’s been in Cincy’s 4-3 defense all 6 years).
Still, even if he cost $8 mil like JA suggested, Spotrac has us with $29.8 mil of CAP space (based on our Top-51) so we could afford him. For some reason, Over-the-CAP shows us with only $26.6 mil it looks like, but close enough. If I had a choice however of adding a beastly ILB or a beastly DT/NT to rotate in with Vea, I’d go with the DT/NT in a heartbeat.

Wasn’t worried for a second. Too many worried Chicken Littles trying to make drama amd a story out of something that wasn’t a big deal
June 9th, 2025 at 4:03 pm
I have a feeling he is going to really help the Bucs D this season. It’s a pick your poison defensive front now.
June 9th, 2025 at 4:23 pm
Where has Reddick been training? I’m wondering how he’ll adapt to the heat and humidity here.
Joe, it’s time to break out the Bulleit with your man ready to go. It’s been a year or two that you banged the drum for Reddick, time to sit back and count double digit sacks! LFG!
June 9th, 2025 at 4:33 pm
No way he would of bailed on Larry Foote , he would of never found a job anywhere else.
