“Everything We Thought He Would Be Flying Around”

June 10th, 2025

Haason Reddick practiced today.

Ahhhhh, No. 5 was at mandatory mincamp practice today looking like a communicative player eager get the details right with teammates.

Joe was reading the body language of big-money Bucs free agent edge rusher Hasson Reddick, and it sure looked on point.

Reddick appears fit, too. And that’s how head coach Todd Bowles saw it.

“He came in in shape,” Bowles said after practice. “He flew around everything we thought he would be flying around. We’re happy with him.”

No Chris “Swaggy” Baker signing here. Reddick is a motivated guy, per Bucs officials, diligently training on his own before arriving in Tampa for spring practice.

Reddick looks the part, but so did Michael “Ghost” Johnson and a host of other edge rushers that have flowed through One Buc Palace with high hopes attached. Lots to prove.

Regardless, Joe was damn happy to see Reddick and how sharp his body looked. Joe is sure that was noticed by the all the young Bucs edge rushers hungry for some of Reddick’s snaps.

Joe asked Baker Mayfield to share any memories he has playing against Reddick or watching him on film in preparation for a game.

“He’s pretty damn fast off the edge,” Mayfield said. “He’s a great player. I know everybody wants to make a big deal about when he’s going to be here and when he’s not, but he’s a good guy and there’s a reason he signed here. He wants to help us win and we’re happy to have him.”

I’m thinking Reddick was busy last week moving in. Those boxes aren’t going to unpack themselves.

  2. JustVisiting Says:

It’s not where his body was that matters; it’s where his head is at. Sounds like he’ll be good to go.

  3. JimBobBuc Says:

So far so good. I hope he adjusts to the heat here after working out in ????

For a vet like Reddick, it’s about communication. Joe reported he had a special on-field meeting with the front four, led by coach ???

I hope Braswell is joined at the hip with Reddick, those left side guys need to deliver.

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I’d have him hanging around LVD & Winfield…..to keep his ‘tude in line

Many of us on here knew Reddick was the real deal. He found his perfect fit with the Bucs. So happy we got him.

  6. infomeplease Says:

Sure will be nice to have some pressure coming off the edge. We haven’t seen that the past several years.

  7. Truth be Told Says:

This Year is all about the Putrid Pass Defense improving drastically and getting off the field on 3rd downs. And Yes, it starts upfront Pass rush wise. If we can get back to the days of 4 guys putting pressure on because they are all legit Pass Rushers and have an improved Def Secondary -watch out. And this Reddick guy is the Key to this whole year Defensively being honest. Go BUCS!!

  8. toopanca Says:

I am optimistic that, by the end of the season, at this salary, Reddick could be seen as the best 2025 free agent signing in the entire NFL.

  9. Aqualung Says:

Jason might have made a deal almost as good as JPP.

  10. Christopher Schiefen Says:

Ghost Johnson had nowhere near the resume of Reddick, and he disappeared after he got paid, Reddick wants one more contract

  11. Vanessa Anne Says:

This is sounding a lot better.

I was cautiously optimistic before and still think he should have attended the earlier OTAs, etc.

But he looks like he’s in great shape (at least from the pic), and he’s flying around the field.

    I’ll take it.

I also like the idea someone else had, which is to keep him hanging around LaVonte and Tristan, to make sure his head stsys in the right place.

  12. Cardiac kidz Says:

Happy he’s here, showed up and ready to go. Everyone realizes he’s going to play and audition for his next and last big contract. There’s No reason it’s not right here in Tampa Bay. It worked for many others including our QB, why not our DE?

    LFG!

  13. TBChucky Says:

Can’t wait for Training Camp when the pads come on! 😤😤😤

The Bengals fleeced us and took out their trash x 2.

  16. Chris Says:

  17. Purplebeard Says:
