Bucs Will Wear Orange Against The Falcons

June 24th, 2025

Creamsicles are coming back in December.

Bucs fans seem to love when Tampa Bay wears its orange gear. One might think management would consider going to the “Creamsicles” full-time, but that’s a story for another day.

In 2025, the Bucs will wear the Creamsicle gear for one home game. And it should be a critical one.

On Thursday Night Football on Dec. 11 against the Falcons, the Bucs will revel in their iconic uniforms and Publix will help the team deliver an orange Bucs t-shirt giveaway. All fans will be encouraged to wear creamsicle looking attire.

The Joe typing here isn’t a big uniform guy. As long as they don’t look like the embarrassing Bucs uniforms from 2014 through 2019, Joe’s fine.

Joe hopes whomever at One Buc Palace thought those rags looked good or inspiring was re-assigned to a job in the team cafeteria, or at least had training to understand that sometimes being a yes man can be destructive and borderline criminal.

Should use Brady’s face as the pirate. Classic! Go Bowles!

  2. Buc1987 Says:

    Bring on the creams!

  3. buc4evr Says:

Not good, Bucs almost always lose in these Unis.

  4. firethecannons Says:

Very glad it is NOT for our first game. We lose when we wear th orange uniform. We should wear what works more often. Maybe our players are motivated when wearing orange–not sure but again not on the 1st game!

  5. firethecannons Says:

    not motivated in orange

  6. BucFanDMV Says:

I wonder if they will ever wear the throwback white jerseys .. That would be a good alternative to the orange creamsicle ones all the time!

  7. Rod Munch Says:

A F-ING THURSDAY NIGHT GAME VS THE FALCONS

The Bucs NEVER win that game?

Who are the idiots in marketing that don’t know the Bucs history and keep scheduling games they always lose for the orange jerseys. Idiots.

  8. Rod Munch Says:

firethecannons – it’s the not the jerseys, it’s the match-ups. The morons in marketing who have zero knowledge of football or history keep picking matchups the Bucs always lose. The color orange isn’t the issue.

  9. Idroolpewter&red Says:

I remember the joy and elation which occurred in the fan base when the bucs went to the pewter and red uniforms 25+ years ago. I say never go back to creamsicle.

  10. Rick Says:

Ha! I was going to say go back full time but you beat me to it.

  11. Kenton Smith Says:

Just read your posts Rod Munch. Thinking now about doubling my bets for that game. I believe you’re wrong over half the time. That’s just the kicker I needed!

  12. Smarter than Joe Says:

Here come the idiotic comments about a uniform impacting the way the team plays

  13. Nillyboy133 Says:

    Why?

  14. Two thumbs up Says:

Here’s one fan who doesn’t like the orange uniforms. Could care less if we ever see those again. They represent loosing and that stupid pirate or whatever he is….

  15. KABucs Says:

The older fans who went through the 80s and early 90s watching the Bucs, which was a worst period than the lost decade, aren’t as crazy about the creamsicle as younger fans who didn’t experience those years.
Have a hatnwith the Bucco Bruce logo on it thats kind of cool but I don’t like the Bucs to playing in anything but pewter, red or white.
The all pewter unis are kind of cool. Let’s do a mash up with all pewter and bucco Bruce on the helmet. LOL

  16. Irishmist Says:

They never win night games, and they never win creamsicle games. So maybe if they combine them, the two negatives will cancel out. Like when you multiply
    -2 and -2 you get 4.

  17. Inwoodjeremy Says:

I like the throwback uniforms, they have that classic NFL vibe like no other team. Helmets are awesome and the orange was a representative of Florida’s once thriving citrus industries. Winning will never be associated with those uniforms until they win more SBs with them than the current alternate. That seems highly unlikely but a nice tribute to nostalgia.

  18. JTHV Says:

The only game we should’ve worn these uniforms is at Seattle who we came into the league with in 1976 to celebrate our 50th season together

BUT – these games are nothing but merch money grabs and the Glazers want their shot at the booty.

  19. Jmarkbuc Says:

    JTHV

    Great point..

  20. rrsrq Says:

Been looking for a #12 Doug Williams jersey, and on another note, those alarm clock jerseys ruined Jameis Winston. They came with him and disappeared with him.

  21. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

This picture is barf inducing, sweet uni’s but those are 2 Mascots from our cellar dweller years.

  22. Aqualung Says:

    Loss

  23. Ben the GA Buc Says:

I hate the creamsicles. Reminds me of losing.

  24. Stpetematt Says:

@Irishmist I like the way you think.

  25. Dewey Selmon Says:

The Hardy/Rhett/Dilfer era orange pants/white jerseys are awesome. Would like to see red pants/white jerseys with our current scheme.

  26. Waterboy Says:

They need to trash those creamsicles. They get whooped like the Hugh Culverhouse Bucs everytime they wear that uniform.

  27. BucaneroJim Says:

Some of we west coasters were pretty happy to have a new Bucs team in ‘76. Prior, we had to root for Miami, the only Florida team at the time. Miami just seemed an extension of New York. Bucco Bruce was badder tougher than Flipper… like Errol Flynn was tough lol. Yeah, the Bucs were hard to love in the creamsicle years, but I still like the uniforms and have still hung in there as a fan.

BTY… Creamsicles were a big deal summer treat to a kid growing up in Fla during the 1960s. Back in those days, many of us had no air conditioning.

  28. Pewter Power Says:

Oh well this is actually smart and you have to get everyone in the building wearing orange because of Atlanta’s color scheme. That means the Glazers need to be at the gates handing out shirts

  29. Rossta Says:

WTF, why be associate with those uniforms? They are so related to losing in this Tampa Bay area? They suck please don’t if they do count the Falcons as a loss.

  30. View from 132 Says:

My annual post to say I hate these uniforms and wish they would stop with this retro nonsense. The orange Bucs were historically terrible and owned by a racist pig.

  31. Miller5252 Says:

Should have brought them back when they went to Seattle to play the Hawks. Same year they came in together and the Hawks could have worn theirs. Good ole throw back game with both teams doing their 50 years. Come on NFL! You didn’t just so happen to make this matchup and didn’t realize both are 50 years. Break out the gear for it
