“Scheduled” Schedule Leaks Are En Route
May 12th, 2025Officially, the 2025 NFL schedule will be released on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Will the Bucs play Miami in Spain? In Detroit on Thanksgiving? At home on Christmas Day?
Those options are on table.
This morning, NBC had a fancy Today show release of the NFL season-opener. It’ll be the Cowboys at the Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 4. Hardly the best matchup on the Eagles’ schedule, but what a NFL opening night is always beautiful spectacle, a signal that all is right in the world.
And since the NFL loves the spotlight, later today, Fox and Amazon plan to announce one game on their schedules. Amazon has the traditional Thursday night slate of games plus Christmas night.
Tomorrow morning, NFL Network plans to unveil the NFL’s international schedule. Miami is “hosting” a game in Madrid, and the Bucs are on one of the team’s on the Dolphins’ home schedule. However, Joe was sniffing around One Buc Palace recently and was told the Bucs are “very unlikely” to be the choice for Spain.
Also tomorrow, one ESPN game will shared during ABC’s Good Morning America broadcast.

Division Game 95% chance, but I would love to go to Buffalo in normal weather to open up on the road good bonding for the team, LOL!! Go Bus I will be there.
May 12th, 2025 at 12:01 pm
Hate night games, hate games outside the country. Also hate the fact you’ll need Netflix, Peacock, Amazon, and God knows what other pay TV to see a game. I know, I’m old, and just don’t want to get with the times that keep changing.
May 12th, 2025 at 12:07 pm
I would love a Christmas day game!
May 12th, 2025 at 12:13 pm
Man, I’d luv a turket day game against Detroit. Big dinner with the fam and drinks with my Bucs.
May 12th, 2025 at 12:14 pm
Would love to see a Christmas game!
Hodad – Hang in there! I agree about the streaming costs and inconvenience at times. It getting more about money, like pretty much everything else. Who knows, we can be watching our team in the playoffs and SB again. It’s going to be good football to enjoy!
Upstate NY BUC – I have family and friends there that would love that too.
May 12th, 2025 at 12:19 pm
Thanksgiving would be fun
May 12th, 2025 at 12:24 pm
I’m as old school as they come. I’m a happy cat if all their games were scheduled for Sunday at 1:00. It just works! Knowing that it is impossible as others have said Bucs V. Lions on Thanksgiving would be totally rad. Absolutely gnarly.

Someone decided to hit the sauce a little early on a Monday morning.
Superbowl? Are they gifting tickets to Todd and 53 friends to watch the teams play that actually want to win more than the division?
May 12th, 2025 at 12:34 pm
The NFL turns everything into a circus spectacle, even the schedule. Speaks to the popularity of the league as it’s headed towards flag football.
Meanwhile, the fewer high profile games the better. Todd seems to make sure the Bucs are at their flattest and more unprepared for such games.
May 12th, 2025 at 12:39 pm
“””Amazon has the traditional Thursday night slate of games plus Christmas night.”””
There’s nothing traditional about Amazon’s Thurs night garbage games.
May 12th, 2025 at 1:05 pm
Give me the four toughest games to start.
Bucs have a history of 3-1 to start the season.
May 12th, 2025 at 1:27 pm
ToddBowles#1 – Respectfully, there isn’t much time to hit the sauce while working over 50 hrs a week. Your comment gave me a good laugh though.
Being optimistic about our team is a good thing. Great draft, great veterans, great coaches and GM, great owners, and great fans! Look around the league, it could be much worse. Come on, be happy for what we have.
May 12th, 2025 at 1:29 pm
Like in 2024 the Packers were projected to compete and got put into the game. Maybe the NFL thinks the same will be true for the Cowboys.
If Bucs get a Christmas game I would think that the Falcons would be the foe. It’s late enough for Divisional Games and could possibly be for 1st Place with 2 weeks to go. December in Tampa I doubt there will be any snow but maybe a couple drunk Santa’s in the stands.

Looking to take my annual trip this year to a Bucs road game. We are talking Rams.
Been to see the Bucs play road games already in:
Atlanta
Buffalo
Detroit
Houston
and
New Orleans
That leaves
LA
Miami
Seattle
and
Carolina
May 12th, 2025 at 2:23 pm
@Heyjude,
Your wasting your time on that one, TODDBOWLES#1 doesn’t know what optimistic is and only comes here to bash his so called “favorite Team” (which I find hard to believe) we could go undefeated this year and win the SB and he would still find something to complain about. Just the type of dude he is. I feel bad for the ppl that have to be around u.
TODDBOWLES#1 is the ultimate KAREN of JBF and takes pride in being the #1 ANTI-BUCS FAN.
May 12th, 2025 at 2:26 pm
I was listening to a draft-related podcast, and one of the guys on it – who used to work for an NFL team – said the team’s website got more traffic on schedule release day than any other day of the year. That’s remarkable how big of a deal it is.
May 12th, 2025 at 2:47 pm
Fully believe it. People want to start planning their falls. It’s almost like Christmas.
Joe remembers a couple of guys in the local media who used to rail how the schedule announcement is blown out of proportion and it almost trivial. Joe argued it might be overblown to them because they knew where they were going to be each Sunday: a press box. Fans who have to pay to go to games don’t have that luxury. They have to balance going to games with their lives i.e. family events and work.
One of those two is dead. The other, his career is dead.
May 12th, 2025 at 3:25 pm
All I care about when getting the new schedule is if anyone out in Bucs fan land created a nice wallpaper showing it that I can DL as my phone’s new wallpaper. 😉
It’ll be nice to see who/when/where we’re going to play but that’s still many months away, I can’t really control any of it and I’m not flying anywhere.
May 12th, 2025 at 3:28 pm
Absolutely right Joe – the group text msgs start flying with road trip plans.
And Jeno711 – been to Green Bay, Chicago (yea I’m dating myself) Atlanta, Carolina and New Orleans.
Seattle would be fantastic
May 12th, 2025 at 3:58 pm
WeDemBoyzFromDaBay – Thank you.
Go Bucs!

Well sir, I am 1000% confident that won’t happen with TB Zero as the HC.
Undefeated??? In what world could Bowles accomplish that?
And there exists no universe in which Toilet Bowles will make a SB appearance as a HC.
Carry on sir. The dark side of the force is strong within you. Succumb to your hatred of my logical posts.
May 12th, 2025 at 4:14 pm
Well said Joe, it’s huge to know those past few butost important parts of the schedule. Yes we know WHO we are playing but don’t know WHEN or WHAT TIME. Every fan at least wants to see which and how many prime time games there team are a part of. It’s a small hint to how much respect your team has gained around the league and how entertaining your team is to watch. And I think we can put a ✓ both of those boxes for our P€WT£R~PIRAT£S ❤️🔥🏴☠️💪💯
May 12th, 2025 at 4:15 pm
*last few but most important parts
May 12th, 2025 at 4:17 pm
I hope we only play sub 500 teams all year. And no primetime games.
Bowles is weak between the ears and can’t figure out how not to embarrass the city on national tv.
He’s a laughing stock.
May 12th, 2025 at 4:44 pm
Joe – It’s not something I’d have ever suspected was that big of a deal, but I can see why. Personally I just want to go week by week and pencil in, win, loss, win, win, loss, etc so I’ll know exactly how the year will play out.
May 12th, 2025 at 4:45 pm
Home: 4-4
Eagles – Loss
49ers – Loss
Patriots – Loss
Jets – Win
Cardinals – Win
Falcons – Loss
Saints – Win
Panthers – Win
Away:3-6
Rams – Loss
Seattle – Loss
Miami – Win
Buffalo – Loss
Detroit – Loss
Houston – Loss
Falcons – Loss
Saints – Win
Panthers – Win
Total: 7-10
Four of those wins will be against the Saints and Panthers. No wins versus quality teams. We only beat the drecks of the league. Bowles reigns supreme.
May 12th, 2025 at 4:58 pm
^ Zero chance of that happening unless we are absolutely ravaged by injuries on both sides of the ball.
As for the Madrid game – I’ve seen rumors that Miami’s opponent will either be the Bengals or the Commandos. But who knows?
May 12th, 2025 at 5:17 pm
ToddBowles#1 – I know you’re just trolling, but I’ll give an honest take on your predictions.

Bucs have the Eagles number as of late, but it also depends on when on the schedule that game takes place. If it’s early, in the heat, the Bucs will likely win. If it’s late year, and in particular if they put the Bucs in a Sunday Night slot, then they’ll lose.
Saying they’ll lose to the Pats is a ‘hot take’, but probably right, just seems like a game the Bucs will lose. If they do win that game, they’ll lose to the Jets, so the net result is the same.
They should beat the 49ers this year, I don’t think they’ll have back to back loses to them.
The Bucs won’t get swept by the Falcons this year, not unless Blank breaks out his checkbook again like he did last year to buy those W’s. But, at the same time, the Bucs will lose one of those Panthers games.
That road schedule is rough… Bucs always lose to the Rams, so that’s a L. The Seattle game is the one that stands out as one the Bucs should win, but they’re 1-3 in Seattle since 2000 – but two of those were OT loses. So I’d flip that to a W. The other game I could see the Bucs winning is @Buffalo – the Bucs just play Buffalo tough, no idea why since even when Buffalo is good and the Bucs are bad, the Bucs still would often beat them. Anywho, if the Bucs lose the Seahawks game, then I’d give them a win @Buffalo. I doubt the Bucs win vs Detroit again, and Stroud will put up another 500 yards on Bowles defense, so that’s an L.
Overall, I with a win vs the Falcons, 49ers and Seattle/Buffalo, that gets them to 10-7, which is in line with what I’d expect. Just a first take.

Hey I appreciate the honest take without a personal insult. While I don’t agree with the Bucs beating the Bills on the road, it would be a big win.
I know my hot takes go overboard a lot. That’s just my emotion coming through.
The Bucs are my team and I live and die with every snap of the football.
To all my detractors, I respect your opinions no matter what they are.
And I’m excited for the schedule release so I can plan my trip to Tampa for a game.

Umm, don’t we always?
May 12th, 2025 at 8:22 pm
Bucs, Bills, Rams, Chiefs, Detroit or even Washington would have been better matchups against Philly, but we’ll al watch. I wouldn’t at all be shocked if Dallas beat the Eagles. It’s been 20 years since the same team won that division two years in a row.
May 12th, 2025 at 8:40 pm
Hey TB#1 I have finally figured out who you are with the fact you want to plan your trip to Tampa this year: You’re Cam Jordan just trying to piss off the locals aren’t ya? LOLOLOLOL.
