April 26th, 2025

Day 3 has arrived. The Buccaneers have picks in Rounds 4, 5 and 7. And that could change.

Is a linebacker next? An edge rusher? The draft begins at noon.

Comment below all day. Be nice. Stick to the draft and the team. Go Bucs!

Beast beast beast beast beast beast beast beast.

  2. SB~LV Says:

18 players picked before the Bucs are on the clock, NERVOUS!

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

ILB please…..and for those who are “outraged “ by the Egbuka pick…..WTF

  4. Hold Up Says:

We need to use our 7th to move up a little in round 4.

  5. Steven007 Says:

Will be nice if Sawyer sticks around until our pick. If not, I’m sure they have backups.

  6. BucsFanNC Says:

LB, Edge & DL and I’d say this draft was a great one. We need depth

  7. Hold Up Says:

We can get to 116 or 117, ahead of the Falcons.

  8. Tim Says:

Hoping for Xavier Restrepo and Jack Sawyer today.

  9. FortMyersDave Says:

Jeffrey Bassa or Captain Jack Sawyer. Too bad the Bucs do not pick twice in the 4th. At least ILB or edge could be addressed to a certain extent.

  10. Tim Says:

Won’t be surprised if Licht picks Sawyer at 4.19 and trades up with 5.20 and 7.19 back into round 4 and grabbing Carter/Paul Jr/Smondon Jr

  11. bucsfantim Says:

Favorite targets left starting day 4:

David Walker – Edge Central Arkansas: This guy is going to be just like prime Shaq

Jack Sawyer – Edge Ohio State:

Danny Stutsman – LB Oklahoma: Tackling machine. Would do so well to learn from LVD

Smael Mondon JR – LB Georgia – Best coverage skills in LB left available and has good athleticism.

Cam Skattebo – RB Arizona State – Could you imagine having him a part of this RB room? Heart, guts, and really is built different. Him in a Bucky would be the Dunn/ Alstott combo of this era.

  12. Gipper Says:

Sawyer would be outstanding. Don’t care about his measurables. That guy is a throwback and a pure football player.

  13. Rick Says:

Hopefully we can move up for Sawyer. But, I trust our front office to do the best thing. They have proven themselves over the years.

  14. Scott Says:

Let’s go lineman on either side. No matter how tempting TE or RB would be

  15. Tim Says:

Stutsman cant cover in the NFL. Too slow and lacking natural instincts, doesn’t fit our scheme.

Smael Mondon, Jack Sawyer, Xavier Restrepo, Barrett Carter, Ty Hamilton, Cam Skattebo, David Walker, Rylie Mills, Ajani Cornelius.

  16. IrishPirate Says:

I agree fellas. Want Sawyer or Walker off the edge. Then DT. If we do go edge here. I think we sign K. White at ILB and address that next year.

  17. Lee Cohen Says:

    We need a dedicated FULLBACK!!!

  18. Sapp 2 Fundamentally Sound Says:

Barrett Carter Best coverage LB in this year’s draft

  19. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Tim Says: Stutsman cant cover in the NFL. Too slow and lacking natural instincts, doesn’t fit our scheme.

Danny Stutsman ran a 4.52-second 40-yard dash at the 2025 NFL Combine. Not sure where you think he is too slow. His 40 time ranks 92% at his position. No Instincts? Dude had 348 tackles and 35 tackles for loss in 3 years at Oklahoma.

  20. Josh Says:

I’m honestly tired of the “Stutsman is slow” narrative. He ran a 4.52-second 40-yard dash — faster than both Barrett Carter (4.64) and Jeffrey Bassa (4.63). If Stutsman is considered slow, then what does that make those two — lethargic? The numbers speak for themselves. Stutsman has the speed, production, and instincts to play at an NFL level.

To be fair, so do Carter, Bassa, Chris Paul, Smael Mondon, and Jack Kiser. These guys don’t just have potential — they have the tools to contribute on Sundays. Even Dumas-Johnson could be an upgrade to current depth, and I could see one of those top three becoming David’s eventual successor.

There’s *a lot* of talent left in this class — and that’s just the linebackers I believe will succeed in the NFL.

  21. MadMax Says:

    Farmer…Sawyer…Thor…Kalell Mullings….Hunter Wohler…Maxen Hook jeeze, so many i cant think of…

Did DT Jordan Phillips go yet? Former wrestler, perfect for NT!

  22. Beeej Says:

Please…..SOMEbody (not Bucs) pick Sanders! Tired of hearing about him

  23. Tim Says:

Every year I read that you guys say that guys in rounds 5-7 are sure fire HoFers or something lol. Relax. These will be solid players, but you guys are talking like that Stutsman and Bassa kid are the next Ray Lewis and Luke Kuechly. Gamespeed and 40 dash speed totally different. A lot of tackles doesn’t mean elite linebacker….

  24. DailyRich Says:

63% of last year’s NFL starters were drafted on Day 3.

  25. Scott Says:

When are we taking a small school guy?

  26. Beeej Says:

Was reading a thing this am, Bucs have a HUGE # of day 3 guys who are starters since 2018

    @dailyrich

Yeah that’s logical cause in those rounds are the most players picked. Are they elite as you guys talk of Bassa and Stutsman? A bad starter is still a NFL starter. Your logic won’t hold up.

  32. Josh Says:

This year is different—the draft is exceptionally deep due to extended COVID eligibility. Mark my words: there are still players across multiple positions who will make it in the league and earn multiple contracts. At linebacker, cornerback, defensive tackle, wide receiver, running back, and safety, I can still see about five prospects per position getting a second contract in the NFL. That’s crazy depth. Hall of famers?? I’m not gonna say that but solid contributors for years that won’t have there spots taken by rookies because there that polished of football players.

  33. Pickgrin Says:

    Need to draft an ILB!

    Bassa or Pooh Paul

  34. HopeIn1Hand… Says:

I love when the Bucs double-up on a position in the draft except for when Marx Dominic was doing it. If the Bucs double-up on doubling up and land JJ Pegues and Thor Griffith I just may be the happiest fan in the history of sport.

The Bucs offense is loaded for bear but they still have a gaping hole at unstoppable 300+ lb short yardage back. Pegues had the coaches brave enough to give him ample proof on tape that he can do it and do it mind-bendingly well but based on his measurables, movement skills on tape and the trumpeting of a fella who played with him on all-star teams in high school I think Griffith could also provide the singular joy that is fat guy TDs.

  35. Mhystc Says:

Bradyn Swinson, Chris Paul Jr, Jeffrey Bassa or Barrett Carter

  36. Tim Says:

    @josh

All old rookies then? Cause the guys we drafted are all 20-22.

  37. MadMax Says:

Yeah LUV, QB Will Howard will make someone very happy…great value now.

  38. Jeffrey Becker Says:

if you’re right josh, then the smart move would have been to amass picks even if they were late ones. oops i guess.

  39. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Agreed, Max. At this stage, getting Will Howard is like finding money on the ground — great value for whoever grabs him.

  40. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Max, your thoughts on DJ Giddens & Jarquez Hunter

  41. Josh Says:

I believe the depth in this draft will primarily consist of older rookies. That’s why the players who went early were selected early—they have both the talent and youth, giving you the hope of a 10-year window for your team. In contrast, the players selected later are likely to be around 25, meaning you’re looking at a 3-4 year rookie contract depending on the round, followed by a 3-year extension. If you’re getting that kind of return from players taken in rounds 4-7, it’s a significant win. After that they will be “OLD” by NFL standards.

  42. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    I wouldn’t mind taking a QB later.

  43. SteveK Says:

I am wondering what we do with our next pick. Excited and hoping for a potential difference maker BPA all the way! I

  44. CityBuc Says:

    Kicker
    Punter
    Long snapper
    Let’s go!

  45. MadMax Says:

@LUV, yeah I never looked at them till now…Giddens has some great size and moves at RB…Jarquez reminds me of Bucky a little.

  46. Josh Says:

Essentially, these are players who would typically be 5-year seniors, but due to the additional eligibility granted by the COVID-19 pandemic, many are now 6-year players. Some of them didn’t redshirt, though, and are still 5-year seniors who benefited from the bonus playing years to further develop their skills. Others, like Thor, didn’t even get to play that 5th year because the Ivy League canceled the season. Instead, he became an insane gym rat, in addition to loving the game, to pass the time and prepare for when he could play again.

  47. KABucs Says:

    Skatter- bow gone!
Somebody, I don’t remember who, on this side is really sad.
    LOL
We were never going to draft him.

  48. MadMax Says:

Dang, Eagles just landed one of my guys Ty, man they aint playing around in stocking D line.

  49. LUVMYBUCS Says:

The teams that dominate year after year know the secret — invest relentlessly in the offensive line and front seven.

  50. BucsFan81 Says:

    Saints took Stuntsman!!!

  51. Tim Says:

Future Hall of Famers Stutsman just drafted by the Saints. Welp, season over boys. They will sweep us for sure and will hold Bucky to minus 20 yards rushing. What a sad day to be a Bucs fan. 🙁

  52. HopeIn1Hand… Says:

Stutsman to the Taints! I’m so excited for the opportunity to take my disgust of him to the highest level! What a perfect match!

  53. SteveK Says:

    Go Bucs! Do something crazy!

  54. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    Taints misbehavin

  55. LUVMYBUCS Says:

@LUV, yeah I never looked at them till now…Giddens has some great size and moves at RB…Jarquez reminds me of Bucky a little.

Giddens has some juice, and Jarquez definitely has a little Bucky in his game.

  56. SteveK Says:

Are there any RBs worthy of a pick left? Preferably a big SOB that would just pound opposing defenses into submission. We have the dash, we need the smash!

  57. SteveK Says:

I’d have zero problem at all if we see an offensive player that can help make a difference and draft them. Just keep adding the squad.

  58. Josh Says:

I absolutely love the drafts for the Eagles and the 49ers; go figure! I also feel that the Rams got amazing value by trading down. It seems like the rich just keep getting richer. Unfortunately, the Panthers and Falcons both seemed to draft well, too. As I mentioned, Stutsman is a good player who will likely play for about 8 years for them. A Hall of Famer? Probably not. But a solid depth piece and a couple of years as a starter, like Zac Baun was for Philly last year—I’d say yes to that.

Now that he’s on the enemy though hope he’s a total flop and I’m wrong lol

  59. Dano407 Says:

Bucs take Sawyer or David Walker PLEASE

  60. KABucs Says:

There goes the Ohio State linebacker.
What good linebackers & edge rushers are left? Good being a relative term.

I can’t look at the Bucs big board right now so I guess it doesn’t matter. BPA off that board is what will happen.

  61. Permanently Moderated Says:

    Ok, Tim. Have another drink.

  62. MadMax Says:

    @SteveK, Kalel Mullings…look him up.

  63. Mhystc Says:

Would like to finish the draft with 2 of these players Bradyn Swinson, Chris Paul Jr, Jeffrey Bassa or Barrett Carter, Desmond Watson, CJ West.

  64. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Damn the Rams Lol

  65. Josh Says:

Ollie Gordon, Phil Mafah, and Raheim Sanders all fit the mold of bigger, bruising backs and remain available. Rocket is my favorite of the group and likely would have been drafted already if not for his injuries. Sanders began his college career at Arkansas, where he ranked second in the SEC in rushing yards per game in 2022. A knee injury limited him to just six games in 2023, after which he transferred to South Carolina. In 2024, he led the team in rushing. Sanders also overcame a serious shoulder injury in 2023 that required the Latarjet procedure—a complex surgery involving a bone graft and muscle/tendon transfer to address chronic dislocations. Despite these setbacks, he played in all 12 games in 2024, rushing for 881 yards and 11 touchdowns, while also leading all SEC running backs with 316 receiving yards on 27 receptions.

  66. unbelievable Says:

@MadMax – a little jealous of the Eagles draft so far TBH, they are pumping that defense.

  67. Tim Says:

Falcons adding another Hall of Famer, very good defensive draft. We won’t be able to score any points this season I’m afraid.

  68. Jeffrey Becker Says:

I love mafah’s intangibles. if we MUST take an RB (please don’t) I’d want him. has always overachieved/exceeded expectations and thrived in spot duty. special teams?

  69. BucsFan81 Says:

Hope we take Sawyer DE Ohio State get it done Jason.

  70. SteveK Says:

Would love a stud sledgehammer RB, or even a DT that has some pass rush and bad attitude. Whomever it is, we need another dog on the team. I would love to see the right RB that could just inflict damage while runnning.

  71. Jeffrey Becker Says:

it’s almost like falcons strategy is to screw us. or at least, to take who/position they think we would take

  72. Dano407 Says:

Sawyer or Walker would be great

  73. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Here we go

  74. BucsFan81 Says:

Everyone worried about the Saints, Atlanta and Carolina draft. Just remember who is coaching those teams. As much as I don’t care for Bowles we have a better coaching staff than anyone in the NFC South.

  75. SteveK Says:

    We are on the clock.

Hope we get a dude that is a dog and can contribute right away.

  76. SteveK Says:

The rest of the division needs to worry about us, and how Baker is going to rip them apart for 70%+ completion percentage for another divisional crown.

I hope we get a smash out RB and line him I’m behind Godeke and have bad intentions of jus crushing MFers.

  77. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    nobody worried about archie-tanking taints

  78. SteveK Says:

    The pick is in!

  79. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Ok David Walker it is.

  80. KABucs Says:

    There’s the small school guy.
Got to get familiar with him.

  81. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    while still avoiding concussions

  82. MadMax Says:

    NICE…. DAVID WALKER

  83. Stpetematt Says:

    We got David Walker!

  84. FortMyersDave Says:

David Walker, Central Arkansas, there’s Jason’s small school pick.

  85. Jeffrey Becker Says:

i finally got a mocked player right. love walker

  86. unbelievable Says:

    Why hello there, German ladies…

  87. Stpetematt Says:

Been hoping for him to still be there for a while now…

  88. Hold Up Says:

Swinson had a much higher grade

  89. BucsFan81 Says:

    Looks like a good pick.

  90. Dano407 Says:

I Love the David Walker pick

  91. MadMax Says:

@unbe, yeah tell me about it lol

  92. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Did I hear correctly, Walker led Division II in sack for four straight year?

  93. Tim Says:

Grades don’t say nothing bud. Shedeur is ranked 20th overall best player in this draft by the experts LMAOOOO.

David Walker seems like a nice rotational piece with upside to a starter.

  94. shaftmaster Says:

I think I want to be Bucs fan in Germany now.

  95. SteveK Says:

    That’s an exciting pick!

  96. Aj Says:

    hope we address ilb,
    maybe bassa outta oregon?

  97. Lightningvinny Says:

JL doing his thing ,,, Jeremiah had ranked 74 so not bad for 121 ,,, small school w a big chip on shoulder

  98. KABucs Says:

    There goes Sawyer

  99. MadMax Says:

Alright, next pick is 157….I hope we trade up for Jordan Phillips. He wont be there if we wait.

  100. Tim Says:

In his three years at Central Arkansas, he had 191 tackles and 31 sacks.

  101. Bucsfantim Says:

    DAVID WALKER!! I called it!

This is a great pick y’all mark my words. Save this for later and flame me if you want. But he’s going to develop and be a stud. Go look at his senior bowl tape. He can hang

  102. KABucs Says:

Bassa would be cool. Bucky needs a friend. LOL
    Poor guy, too many Huskies.

  103. firethecannons Says:

Walker: Ranked third in the FBS with 23 TFLs, tied for ninth with 10.5 sacks. Tied for third in the FCS with 4 FFs. Played in all 12 games with 11 starts (69 tackles, 6 PBUs).

  104. Badbucs Says:

Pins and needles now hoping for a ILB to last until 5

  105. Tim Says:

Walker will be 25 at start of the season.. Sawyer only 22 years old. I rather had that elite school pedigree with a 5 star HS recruit score. Well, we will see. But I think Sawyer will have 5+ sacks this year and Walker won’t contribute till 2026.

  106. firethecannons Says:

wow this guy is a dawg

  107. Lou. Says:

A little different perspective on the draft:

Picking 20 or later means a team doesn’t get first round pick. OTOH it means they’re in the playoffs and probably a Super Bowl contender. So they can pluck value both from veteran FAs who want to play for a winner AND from extra supplemental picks from other teams signing away their guys at inflated salaries.

The Bucs’ 2021 draft was a bust because the team seemed to get complacent and choose backups.

I think the hidden story this year is JL’s FA pickups. Right after the draft we are likely to sign several more veteran FAs to ILB, safety, and maybe OT. There have been national rumors that such is in the works.

    GLTA.

  108. BucsFan28 Says:

Great pick to be able to bring in on passing downs. Let him focus on rushing the qb and developing over the next couple of years.

  109. Josh Says:

Love the pick! We definitely needed more edge help for rotation and development. There are still some big DTs available later in the draft. This player also fits our scheme better than Sawyer, who likely would have seen limited playing time since he’s more of a 4-3 defensive end.

Also… not too thrilled with the Falcons or Panthers right now. They’re drafting really well. Honestly, that was the perfect spot for Sawyer—he’s going to be great alongside Watt, Harmon, and Cam Heyward. Watch out for Pittsburgh pass rush!!

  110. Aj Says:

hahaha. get them ducks lined up!

    also, love the walker pick…
kid had 31 sacks in 3 years!!!

  111. FortMyersDave Says:

Aj, Bucs will probably have to trade up to get Bassa. Maybe their 5th rounder and a day 3 2026 pick? Licht traded up for Zion M in similar fashion.

  112. Aj Says:

    jason should do it

  113. Gofortheface30 Says:

Bucsfantim- his write up is amazing on espn. A lot of “experts” were high on him too. This seems like an awesome pick

  114. Aj Says:

    i feel he’s be a bargain in the 5th,
perfectly makes sense to trade up and complete this draft with a bang!

  115. LUVMYBUCS Says:

He reminds of Stylez G. White

  116. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

That guy is a sack monster!

  117. Josh Says:

We still need a linebacker and a defensive tackle. Ideally, we’d land two of each, and a safety. But, with only two picks remaining, that’s basically impossible. Lol

  118. Jeffrey Becker Says:

how does walker fit 265 pounds into that 6-1 body and still play so fast!? must be a freak of nature

  119. Aj Says:

reminds me of barret, size wise

  120. Mhystc Says:

Get MLB, Chris Paul jr or Jeffrey anD DT, CJ West or Desmond Watson

  121. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Walker is a great pick

    There’s our Edge to challenge Braswell and Nelson;
    Oughtta ease a lot of hearts and minds and attitudes lol;
and Ira’s coconut coffee is safe 2nite

  122. Jeffrey Becker Says:

What happens if Sanders goes undrafted?
If a player who declares for the NFL Draft isn’t selected, they become an undrafted free agent (UDFA). UDFAs typically work out for any team interested in them and are free to negotiate and sign with any team who offers them a contract.

Undrafted free agents receive three-year contracts with no club options, with salaries typically starting at the league minimum. In 2025, the league minimum salary for a rookie is $840,000, and the 2026 veteran minimum (for players with at least one year of service) will increase to $1,005,000, per the collective bargaining agreement.

Famously successful UDFA quarterbacks include Warren Moon, Kurt Warner and Tony Romo.

  123. KABucs Says:

I love that Walker fell just simply based on his stature in a conference he plays in. Doesn’t have super long arms and isn’t 6′ 3″+. Who cares. I bet we found a diamond here.

Isn’t Kansey too small to play DT. He should be out of the NFL by now. LOL

  124. KABucs Says:

Oh, and Bucky. Way too small to succeed as an NFL RB.

  125. Simeon4HOF Says:

Cool watching that run on Edge right after we took Walker.
    We got a Dawg

  126. matthew a veal Says:

i like sawyer for the same traits i like in egbuka, but maybe this kid will do the small school super success like ali marpet. josh is right again imo about safety and linebacker

  127. Gofortheface30 Says:

Jeff, how do I say this kindly. No one gives a f’ing f about Shadeur, he can suck it.

  128. FortMyersDave Says:

Jeffry Becker, Moon played a few seasons for Edmonton in the CFL before he went to the Oilers, who won the bidding war for him. Doubt if there will be a bidding war for Sanders. If someone really wants Sanders they will take a flyer on him in the 7th. I wonder if he would go to Huntington Beach if he became Mr Irrelevant?????

  129. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Hopefully IDL in Rd 5

  130. LUVMYBUCS Says:

One thing’s clear: with the way offensive coordinators are targeting the middle of the field, the Bucs are taking the linebacker-by-committee route. They’re betting on rotation and development because most of these young guys just don’t have the reps yet.

  131. Jeffrey Becker Says:

fort — i was thinking he would go to canada. i know i would. (see face some care lol)

  132. KABucs Says:

Shadeur fall = ego, too cocky, not enough humility

The opposite of Egbuka. Everything was handed to him. Hasn’t shown any grit… a rich kid raised, coached and coddled by Daddy Prime. Not something an NFL coach or GM is really wanting. Shadeur definitely would have been picked already if he had elite athleticism, could make things happen with his legs, had a stronger arm and still had his current passing abilities. Then it would have been worth the attitude & circus he comes with the draft him.

  133. Jeffrey Becker Says:

i just find it interesting a guy could think he’s getting almost 80 million one day, then find out all 32 employers mysteriously decided he wasn’t worth a million

  134. KABucs Says:

The bet now is will Sanders get drafted in the 6th, the 7th or become a UFA?
    😆
Honestly, if he becomes a starting QB one day in this league, all of this will have been good for him to go through.

  135. Jeffrey Becker Says:

i hope Deion didn’t spend 15 mill on mansions or whatever, counting on the payday haha

  136. Jeffrey Becker Says:

chiefs get a steal of course

  137. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Shadeur fall = ego, too cocky, not enough humility

Johnny Manziel wasn’t just snorting coke off women in strip clubs — he was also pounding alcohol, smoking weed, crushing up Xanax, and dabbling in Molly. And that was just college. But sure, okay 😂😂😂

  138. Josh Says:

At this point, I’m all in on the 400-pound DT out of Florida, Desmond Watson, and Thor Griffith, who both appear to be going undrafted. Get Watson in the building, put him on the right diet and workout plan with Thor as his sidekick, and they could be absolute forces. You just can’t teach size. Watson is 6’6″, 464 pounds, benched 225 for 36 reps, ran a 5.93, and even took a snap at running back. Griffith is 6’2″, 320 pounds, with 132 tackles, 33.5 TFLs, and 13.5 sacks over four seasons at Harvard before transferring to Louisville. He’s a gym rat, and with the right development, these guys will make people look dumb for passing on them.

  139. KABucs Says:

What’s even more embarrassing is all the “legendary” crap all over his “special” draft room. This is definitely turning out to be legendary all right, legendary drop.

No matter how much this irks Coach Prime, he has no pull in the NFL any longer. I’ve never been a Neon Deion fan. Cocky, selfish, over the top, look at me type player. Let’s see, played for the Seminoles, the Falcons and the Cowboys PRIME-erally. Some of my least favorite teams.

  140. FortMyersDave Says:

KABucs, Jeff: I think the big issue with Shadeur is not Shadeur (either his skill set or even possible poor personality/interview traits) but the fact that whoever drafts him will have to deal with Deion…… Deion could be super disruptive both internally and on social media, major distraction which means teams will not want to deal with the headache and pass on Shadeur…..

  141. Jeffrey Becker Says:

ya was thinking that too, the lavar ball syndrome

  142. Josh Says:

Yeah, how do the Chiefs score Nohl and Royals? The rich get richer…

  143. Jeffrey Becker Says:

OR he has a leaked issue that is potentially serious

  144. KABucs Says:

Yes to Desmond Watson, why not.

He already lives right down the street, went to Armwood. He would be worth the project.

  145. LUVMYBUCS Says:

i hope Deion didn’t spend 15 mill on mansions or whatever, counting on the payday haha

Five years, $54 million. Deion’s mansion plans are safe. 🏡💰😎

  146. FortMyersDave Says:

Josh, I would love it if the Bucs took a flyer on Desmond Watson perhaps an an UDFA! Loved that the Gators used him for a 3rd and short at the Gasparilla Bowl……

  147. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    🙂 luv

  148. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Jeffrey

    Lol

  149. FortMyersDave Says:

Bradyn Swinson still on the board as are LBs Bassa and Chris Paul. Could the Bucs move up and grab one?

  150. KABucs Says:

Why do 90% draft announcers have a super strong accent? Only foreign fans can announce going forward?

  151. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Jeffrey

    😂💯 All LUV, bredren

  152. Mhystc Says:

Grab Swinson and Either Chris Paul Jr or Jeffrey Bassa

  153. MadMax Says:

    There goes my Jordan….crap

  154. Jeffrey Becker Says:

would the falcons or cowboys mind deion hanging out all the time?

  155. FortMyersDave Says:

And with pick 144 Cleveland takes Shadeur Sanders. Didn’t the Browns grab a QB last night?

  156. MadMax Says:

Glad to see him finally get drafted, but man, the Browns, eh is what it is.

  157. Jeffrey Becker Says:

the Browns have a four-way QB battle between Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Gabriel and Sanders.

  158. DailyRich Says:

They trade up for Sanders after drafting Gabriel last night??

  159. Jeffrey Becker Says:

2 rbs drafted, 2 qbs, and bailing on hunter. what a weird franchise. 5 rostered qbs now wtf

  160. Jeffrey Becker Says:

what was gabriel pick, a ‘just in case’ deal?

  161. Mhystc Says:

Browns will always be a dis functional franchise. Come on Tampa draft either Swinson, Chris Paul, Jeffrey Bassa or Desmond Watson.

  162. FortMyersDave Says:

Swinson just went to the Pats….

  163. Simeon4HOF Says:

Browns could have had Hunter and Sanders. Geniuses.
They might as well take another QB in Rd 6 lol

  164. Mhystc Says:

Browns taking Will Howard round 6

  165. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    hahaha mhystc

  166. Simeon4HOF Says:

Making the Duck an official pick in Rd 6

  167. Mhystc Says:

    Fortmyersdave

Just seen that. Lol, hoping for Chris Paul Jr, Jeffrey Bassa and in Rd 6 Desmond Watson.

  168. Jeffrey Becker Says:

so now what, browns waive flacco and start pickett? then tank for manning?

  169. Mhystc Says:

Grabiel will probably be put on the PS, and they’ll keep Flacco, Pickett and Sanders.

  170. FortMyersDave Says:

Jeff: I think the Browns had no clear plan after they traded out of the #2 spot. Yeah, they fleeced the Jags and accumulated some picks (to partially make up for what they lost in the Watson trade) but now it will be interesting to see who the odd man out will be at qb. Did the Browns waste a day 2 pick at QB, will they cut a vet and just because Sanders got drafted, is there any guarantee he makes the roster. Looking forward for the noise coming from Deion’s social media accounts…..

  171. Tim Says:

    Ty Hamilton gone crap…

  172. Simeon4HOF Says:

In Round 6 we’re taking that Duck

  173. Jeffrey Becker Says:

so gabriel can be swiped by any team if i understand ps rules?

  174. Mhystc Says:

    Jeffrey Becker

    Correct.

  175. Simeon4HOF Says:

Rd 5 run on DTs ain’t helping

  176. KABucs Says:

Browns are…. well .. the Browns.
    Expecting something different or bettet?
Millons tied up in a perv while top 5 QB let go.
    Classic!

  177. MadMax Says:

Almost there….i dont have anyone left other than RB Kalel Mullings, and im sure we wont go RB….need a big DT/NT….but Kalel is no joke

  178. Rod Munch Says:

Some examples of teams taking two QBs in the same draft…

Troy Aikman / Steve Walsh (sup. 1st round pick)
    Heath Shuler / Gus Frerotte
    RG3 / Kirk Cousins

People who think double dipping at positions is some sort of awful thing to do are your typical low-football IQ dullards.

  179. Rod Munch Says:

I like Jeffrey Bassa as the pick at LB – he’s a guy who can cover at LB, and we know how much Todd Bowles loves dropping everyone into coverage. He’s got the speed and ability to become an NFL starter I think, and in the 5th round, I really like him.

  180. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    They’re probably taking Giddens, Damn

  181. Dewey Selmon Says:

What is the name of the 800 pounder from Armwood/Florida?

  182. KABucs Says:

    No more Bassa

  183. Rod Munch Says:

Damnit… literally the pick before Bassa is taken.

  184. BucsFan81 Says:

Chiefs took Bassa damn right before us

  185. Mhystc Says:

Bassa.. to the chiefs. Grab Barrett Carter, or Chris Paul Jr.

  186. KABucs Says:

    Desmond Watson
    Armwood giant

  187. FortMyersDave Says:

    KC got Bassa.

  188. Tim Says:

    Carter is long gone buddy.

  189. Dewey Selmon Says:

    Thanks KA

  190. Tim Says:

They turned the pick in immediate so prolly Bassa wasn’t even on their board.

  191. KABucs Says:

    Answering Dewey

  192. Dewey Selmon Says:

    Another Edge. probably practice squad

  193. Tim Says:

    Elijah Roberts, another DE. Interesting.

  194. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Now that’s a good draft!!!

  195. MadMax Says:

YES, ELIJAH ROBERTS!!! I forgot about him…..YES!!!!!

  196. Mhystc Says:

Should have taken Carter, or Paul jr. But more depth for the edge.

  197. Tim Says:

Practice squad? I would say rotation with Diaby, Reddick, Braswell, Nelson, Walker .

  198. KABucs Says:

    Another edge!!

  199. MadMax Says:

Yes, yes, yes….i forgot about him LUV….what was i thinking

  200. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Love this Pick

  201. MadMax Says:

He’s DE/DT and can put on some more weight if needed…..Awesome pick that I was pushing for….Thanks Jason!! 🙂

  202. Josh Says:

I’m so upset right now F the CHIEFS!

  203. Rod Munch Says:

I don’t think Elijah Roberts is going to be an edge rusher, I think he’s going to be a DE – probably want him to put on a little muscle I’d guess like they did with Logan Hall. Very much appears to be a project player, but I guess we’ll see. Not my favorite type of player to take as they rarely work out, and you could still get some starting-caliber LB’s or safeties at this point in the draft.

  204. Ken Says:

He’s a DT apparently, not EDGE

  205. FortMyersDave Says:

Elijah Roberts gets the nod. I guess the Bucs do not think they need an LB though Bossa could have been their pick, interesting the Chiefs got right in front of them……

  206. Rod Munch Says:

Elijah Roberts is listed as edge, but pretty sure he’s a DE in this defense.

  207. Tim Says:

We we will get Paul or Smondon in round 7

  208. KABucs Says:

    Elijah Roberts …

Productive base end with good play strength who continues to add weight to his frame. Roberts has chalked up stats as a standing defender but isn’t athletic enough to play as a 3-4 outside ‘backer in the NFL and might not have the brutality to play inside at three-technique despite his size. Roberts won’t win the rush with speed or quickness but he can collapse the pocket with a finesse-to-power rush transition. He is slow to read and react to mesh points and counters. He’s also a wildly inconsistent arm tackler. The production could earn him an opportunity, but it might not be translatable as a base defensive end in the pros.

For what it’s worth… probably be better than JTS 😜

  209. Simeon4HOF Says:

So glad we filled our needs and didn’t reach for an ILB that won’t play anytime soon

  210. TheBigSombreo Says:

EJ Roberts from Miami and SMU… guys is a beast.

    Love the pick

  211. Simeon4HOF Says:

Apart from our 7th undrafted rookies challenging Merriweather at S4 or Jones at ILB4 or at IDL6 ..
Our holes are filled and depth completed.
And JL may have a later date FA signing up his sleeve for one of those as well. Time to go win the Super Bowl
    Perfect Draft JL

  212. Mhystc Says:

Grab Paul in the 6th and grab a 7th and draft Desmond Watson.

  213. LUVMYBUCS Says:

MadMax, I know you were high on him earlier — solid pickup.
Curious what’s going on with Jared Ivy, though

  214. Badbucs Says:

No way we keep 6 for edge on active roster is there?

  215. Simeon4HOF Says:

Black would been cool, but guess you can only have one Yaya

  216. Mhystc Says:

Oh we don’t have a 6th. Hope Paul is there in the 7th

  217. StickinUp4Centers Says:

What’s next? Hopefully some beef, a safety, or ILB.

  218. Badbucs Says:

Just turned this into a C draft. Middle of field still wide open. No big DT, no ILB, no S. Good luck in the lab Todd. Good thing we got a #4 WR. Maybe the gamble on edges works out.

  219. Rod Munch Says:

If Paul fell all the way to the 7th, that would mean something is off with him – at that point I’d skip on him and see if I could land him as an UDFA. I can’t think of the last guy who falls like that, then ever turned out to be good. If anyone can think of anyone like that let me know.

  220. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Roberts is for DE.
    Our entire Dline is Set

  221. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, can people get their wording correct…

A DT, in a 3-4, is the center of the defensive line.

    It’s

    DE | DT | DE
    EDGE/OLB | ILB | ILB | EDGE/OLB

    That’s the front 7.

    It’s not

    DT | DT | DT
    DE | LB | LB | DE

I hate this hipster hippie crap of trying to rename everything.

  222. Simeon4HOF Says:

Love how Roberts fills our IDL depth. A DE who can also Rush Outside from the Edge
    Ideal Pick.

  223. MadMax Says:

Yeah LUV, I knew I saw something in him that maybe others were missing…thats how it goes though. Man I wish I could get a job as a Bucs scout…im still unemployed just living off credit cards for now…oh well, all good.

  224. Rod Munch Says:

I absolutely think the Chiefs traded up in front of the Bucs to Bassa, because they thought the Bucs were taking him. We shall see if he turns out to be good or not, but Bassa, a former DB moved to LB with good speed, would have been exactly what the Bucs needed in the middle, and he just seems like a guy who will do well at the next level. Oh well.

  225. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    agreed munch

  226. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Max

You’ve definitely got the eye for it. Keep your head up — the right door’s gonna open. Stay sharp, stay ready

  227. MadMax Says:

Thanks LUV, appreciate you Brother. Im hoping to get back on at the BMW plant just driving a forklift, im blue collar lol. But they take their time going through applications.

  228. Badbucs Says:

So in the DT rich draft year we find a way to not pick one and pick up a Logan Hall like project at DE. After surrendering the middle of the field all of last year, we find a way to not draft any of the positions in the middle of the field. Did someone miss the memo?

  229. Josh Says:

Every single late-round sleeper I had penciled in so far has been taken by a playoff team—except for those with first-year head coach/GM combinations. Additionally, all of them have been drafted earlier than I expected, with the exception of Thor. Even Nick Martin went in the 3rd round. Honestly, there’s not much left.

At this point, I’d consider taking JJ Pegues or Thor Griffith if they’re still available. Sebastian Castro isn’t a bad option, and Cobee Bryant is still on the board. Fadil Diggs, Joshua Gray, Joe Huber, Logan Brown, and a few tight ends, running backs, and wide receivers are still out there, but I don’t think they’re fits for the Bucs. As I feel the existing depth would probably beat them out…

  230. Rod Munch Says:

Badbucs – Did you not notice the huge run on DT’s early in the draft? Basically all the guys worth drafting high were off the board by the time the Bucs picked in the 2nd round. After that the hit rate is nearly 0, so no need to waste picks for the sake of wasting picks.

  231. Josh Says:

I’m concerned that Spytek was more involved in Tampa than people are willing to admit the Raiders’ seem to have a strong draft performance—at least, that’s my opinion.

  232. BucsBeast Says:

Will say, it seems like the Bucs didn’t talk much with the players they drafted.
Almost like this isn’t the way the board was supposed to fall

  233. MadMax Says:

S Maxen Hook might still be there at 235.

  234. Rod Munch Says:

The Bucs normally pick-up a QB as an UDFA – and I must say, after watching Gruden’s QB camp, they should offer Seth Henigan out of Memphis a deal. Not sure about his arm, but as an UDFA I’d give him a chance. The guy is ridiculously smart – just picked up on everything nearly instantly. Gruden is always high on Qbs and loves everyone, so you have to discount what he says in general, but he did say Henigan is a lot bigger than you think and has a much better arm than you think. I have a feeling if he gets into a QB room, coaches are going to want to keep him around, and he’s the type of guy who ends up being on rosters for years – and likely will be a future coach.

Was ultra productive in college, is super smart like I said above. On the downside his tape is so-so, mainly about his arm, he doesn’t really throw with NFL velocity, which normally for me means he’s off my board – but Trask also threw that way, and it took a couple of years, but the Bucs make him change his throwing style and now Trask does throw with NFL velocity. Henigan is 6′ 3″ and looks lanky, and normally those guys can learn to whip the ball.

Anywho, just a name to keep in mind. Again, purely as an UDFA, not as a draft pick.

  235. Josh Says:

    Madmax,

I believe Maxen Hook is a reliable, hard-hitting, traditional safety with excellent tackling ability and strong leadership traits. He’s a plug-and-play special teams contributor who has the potential to develop into a starting strong safety.

That said, I personally see Sebastian Castro as the more versatile and instinctive defender. He’s well-suited for modern defenses that require safeties to play multiple roles, particularly closer to the line of scrimmage.

Both players would be upgrades and offer *excellent* value in the 7th round—where most picks don’t even make the final roster.

Still, I want **Thor**. I just have a feeling about him—could be completely wrong, but something tells me he’s gonna be someone they look back at like how did we miss this guy….

  236. Badbucs Says:

    Rod
Just saying we did little to shore up the gaping hole in the middle. No draft help at tackle, prayers and bandaids at ILB also with no draft help and no S help either. I guess we think edges and corners will somehow magically fix the middle. Oh yeah, Todd has been in the lab.

  237. Shak Says:

Y’all complain every season and every season licht has better drafts than most and better than everyone thinks. Give these guys a chance!

I will say, I was miffed that Biehl was so complimentary of Spytek as far as snatching up guys we wanted. Could have said he’s a good guy and wish him well, but the way it came off it seems like we’re going to miss his talent more than we want.

  238. Rod Munch Says:

Badbucs – If guys weren’t worth drafting, you shouldn’t just reach of them, in particular when you have so many holes. But this team lives and dies on offense, and in the 1st round, they took probably the safest pick in the draft, and a guy you can pencil in as a starter for the next decade, at a position where the Bucs are always losing guys to injury every year.

In the 2nd round, by the time the Bucs picked, the DT’s on the board were basically 4th and 5th round values after that big run. Why in the world would you reach for guys there, when you have an even bigger need on your team at corner – and you got a guy who absolutely would have been a 1st round pick if he didn’t get injured. To me, it’s not even remotely in the conversation to take a DT there. Same in the 3rd, the talent available at DT was not worth the pick, while you badly need corners. Then in the 4th you got a good edge prospect, and finally in the 5th you got a DE – I’m not really high on that pick, but we shall see.

Also for the middle of the field, I think this draft means they’re moving Smith to safety, and the Bucs signed Walker from the Dolphins to be an ILB, plus they got Dennis coming back, who – if he can stay healthy – looked great last year and would be a very good starter.

Sure, getting some depth at DT would be nice, but it’s not going to change the outcome of the season. But having some trash corners you’re getting off the practice squad ,those guys do change your season, and the Bucs addressed that.

  239. MadMax Says:

Yeah Josh, I want Thor too but we hit D line the last two picks so that leaves the unanswered Safety position…… which wont be much, its a 7th….but whichever way we go, I hope it counts.

  240. Paratrooper Buc Says:

    @Rod Munch

I agree with your assessment. WR and CB were two areas we needed consistent back up. Godwin and Evans being down helped get the WR more play time and they did an adequate job but they were not our stars. Secondary was rough. People also forget Bucs want hard working, smart, non-diva, and no drama (sex/drugs/crime allegations or history). That shortens the list.

  241. Shak Says:

You would think our team was trash with the way people are mad about our draft. We were a hold onto the ball play away from moving on. As bad as y’all say we were, we weren’t going to live and die by this draft!
