Tuesday Is Mike Evans Day On NFL Network

June 29th, 2024

Program director for a day.

Joe guesses it is official now. Mike Evans is a bonafide NFL star.

Joe can just hear readers screaming. “What the hell is wrong with you, Joe! Mike Evans is a Hall of Fame receiver. Back off you negative SOB!”

Now, now, now. Joe fully understands Evans is bound for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. No question, he’s a football star. But to have a popular TV network allow you to program content for a full day of broadcasting? Only the stars of stars get to do that.

And so Evans has.

On Tuesday of next week, NFL Network will air content chosen by Evans (though Joe is dubious about two “choices.”)

On the afternoon of July 2, there will be two Colts games broadcast, none against the Bucs. Is Joe really to believe Evans, who has no connection to Indianapolis that Joe is aware of, wanted to watch two Colts games over any Bucs feature or game? However, Evans has said publicly that he was a huge Peyton Manning fan as as kid.

Two cool choices Evans made will be shown Tuesday night: The Bucs’ win over the Chiefs for the franchise’s second Super Bowl and “America’s Game” featuring Evans and chronicling the 2020 Super Bowl season.

They prob told him he couldn’t pick all Bucs games lol.

But I agree the 2 Colts games seem like a bit of strange choices… Is this a subtle F U to Brady lol?

    I kid, I kid…

Also the Washington playoff game seems like a bit of an odd choice too (though Evans had a big game)

  2. Brian in St Pete Says:

Seems like 4:30 is a middle finger to the worst coach in Bucs history. You gotta Lovie that.

  3. Dave Pear Says:

They buried the Bucs playoff run in the wee hours. Bleauxtards.

  4. OR Buc Says:

One colts game is Tom vs Peyton and the other is Peyton vs Rex Grossman, lol

No matter what the choice, this is exciting news. Evans will work it out and it will be fun!

‘Isn’t Peyton Manning Mike’s favorite player?”

Possibly one of them. I think Brady, Emmitt Smith, and some others are Mikes’s favorites too.

  9. Jeffs grandpa Says:

Yep Mike said he was more of a Peyton guy then a Brady boi back in the day

  10. Walter Says:

lol if I were a conspiracy theorist, I’d almost think that the 2 Colts games are Mike suggesting he’s more of a Manning guy than a Brady guy. More likely it’s the Network making that decision as others have pointed out

  11. Booger Says:

A slap in the face that the Super Bowl one’s are aired at 4-6:00am on Wednesday morning. And, I could care less about the Carolina game during that disastrous 2022 season.

  12. Dave Pear Says:

    Exactly, Booger. Total disrespect.

The Carolina game is the one that Evans went for over 200 yards and 3 TDs

  15. SenileSenior Says:

That Pensacola product, Emmitt Smith, is my favorite RB. Evans rates up there with lynn Swann as a favorite WR.
