  1. Bucco Bruce Says:

Played center his first year. That big athletic body for center is amazing. Would have liked an edge but they were gone. So take imo the best on board and one of 2 biggest needs.

  2. Red86 Says:

Jason Licht didn’t take long to turn that card in. lol. Welcome aboard Graham!

  3. Austing Says:

Dude made all American as a freshman at center before getting kicked our to tackle

    STRENGTHS:

Outstanding play strength … eager hands with a stubborn grip (Barton: “I think I outplay my frame.”) … stays controlled and balanced to achieve quality
positioning as a run blocker … … aggressive finisher and
works through the whistle … his pull mobility and second-level skills are a strength … smooth setup out of his stance … … plays through nagging injuries and empties the tank on the field … called the “hardest worker” on the team

He’s a stud. Happy with this pick, but how’s Mayfield going to look over him when he’s 6’5?

  6. It's Corn Says:

I don’t like that he hasn’t played center in years, but here’s hoping he can dominate at that position. Probably an upgrade.

  7. Scott Says:

Great to have another solid player on the O line

  8. David Says:

The entire offense just improved, run and pass and guard play because they got a real center. The entire IOL improves Here’s a concept, how about not having defenders in the backfield during the handoff. Hopefully, that has been taken care of. Counting on MAUCH to take a big step forward. Hoping he is in the weight room

I will keep continue saying I preferred Powers Johnson and I hope I am proven wrong

  9. SteelStudBuc Says:

Excellent pick. Was sweating over Kool-aid… glad the Bucs didn’t pick him LOL

  10. Booger Says:

Kiper says, destined to have a 12-year career and half of them will be Pro Bowls.

  11. Cometowin2 Says:

    Wasn’t Koolaid already gone?

  12. jeffrey becker Says:

    Licht and versatility again

  13. Cometowin2 Says:

Go get best available Edge for the next pick. Kneeland?

  14. Steven007 Says:

Guy looks like a bully on the football field. Who doesn’t want a bully at center?

what linemen do you know that tackles or blocks standing straight?

  16. Mike Says:

Doesn’t look like anyone else thinks newton is a first round pick either

  17. Jason Anthony Sturgess Says:

I’m confused. Is he playing center or Guard for the Bucs? I hope center!

  18. Richard Dickson Says:

Lot of Packers fans were hoping for Barton, I guess Licht couldn’t get that card in fast enough when Green Bay passed on him.

  19. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The more I learn, the more excited I get!

Best of all, this will remove all excuses at QB, regardless of who the Starting QB is.

I don’t care if Barton goes to the probowl..I care that he earns All Pro.

  20. infomeplease Says:

Jason, if he can slow down Vita and Kancey during camp he gets that center job. 🙂

  21. Gipper Says:

Will be interesting to see how Latu works out as pick 15.. Many thought because of injury he might go late. He could be Defensive Rookie of Year in 2024. Really like Barton pick but would encourage Licht to keep building O line. The draft is deep with a lot of size and talent on O line. Pick a pure guard in round 2 and a mauler tight end round 3.

  22. Dave Pear Says:

Excuse me while I go into the closet to beat the Penix in glee over our selection. Jason Licht, Ring of Honor, now.

  23. Hopein1hand… Says:

Check out Hunter Nourzad- this beast was lost in the JPJ, Frazier, Van Pran center frenzy. Tennessee center late…. No! The Bucs could pick a nice D piece for Bowles and a RB and still score this undiscovered gem late 3rd or even 4th. Do Eet Licht!!!

  24. Dave Pear Says:

Anyone sad about the Falcons reaching for Penix must also be in the club who cries that Trashk never got a fair chance . ..

  25. Oneilbuc Says:

Dave Pear. Penix is probably better than Baker Mayfield right now or at the level as Baker. Baker Mayfield is a backup quarterback and to be honest he wasn’t even better than a guy with no experience playing in the NFL. That’s why right now we haven’t heard anyone say Baker was just better than Trask. Go read the facts from training camp last year 9 picks to 1. Baker Mayfield is a average to below average quarterback and we ain’t winning or going to a Superbowl with Baker Mayfield. Lol 🤣🤣 watch and see what’s going to be the new excuse for Baker Mayfield bad play on the field oh I know he’s playing with a young offensive line lol 🤣🤣 .

    Graham Barton vs Jared Verse

Barton does really well. Verse wins a couple but Barton kept him mostly in check. That’s a great sign. You’ll see where Barton’s shorter arms are a liability at OT. Moving him inside and he’ll be awesome.

    Good pick
    (still rather have verse, though)
