Chris Godwin Misses Practice

December 28th, 2023

Injury report.

So today’s injury report was released as the Bucs prepare for a win-and-they’re-in game with the slimy Saints. A key cog to the offense didn’t practice.

Bucs receiver Chris Godwin has been nursing a sore knee and the Bucs gave him a day off as his injury was listed as “knee/rest.” Godwin had the same rest day last week.

Godwin joined Bucs sacks king outside linebacker Shaq Barrett (groin), corner Carlton Davis (concussion) and tight end Ko Kieft (shoulder) as Bucs players not on the practice field.

just let your “new” slot receiver rest up

    Bummer.

Good thing Rakim Jarrett came off IR this week. Looks like we might need him.

  3. A Bucs Fan Says:

I wonder if he tore anything and its treatment, rest, and light practices then toradol shots on Sunday to get him through the season.

  4. A Bucs Fan Says:

He’ll play though and he’ll have another big day out of the slot.

    Great, he needs the rest.

CG14 needs the rest. He also needs the time to calm down. He’s got a chip on his shoulder against the Aints. Deservedly so. Right after the SB, before cheating Payton split, CG14 was taken out of the game by a dirty, illegal tackle aimed right at his knee. It cost him the rest of the season, plus lowered his value on the NFL free market. He already had the SB jewelry. This is very smart between Bowles, Canales, and Godwin. If he doesn’t start, fine. He’ll get in the game before it ends.

He also has a score to settle against this team. CG14 is as classy and all-pro as they come, but he needs to not start this game. It’s cos of emotions.

    Is the sky falling?

  9. Duane in Sanford Says:

He will be ready to go on Sunday. No way he misses an opportunity to put the dagger into The Aints this season.

I predict….I am not prone to make these…Godwin balls on Sunday!

    Go Bucs!

The way he played last week I wouldn’t change a thing. Our team is peaking at the right time and Bowles has done a good job letting guys heal while playing a lot of young guys who have gotten valuable experience. I’m still not sold on Bowles as a head coach but if the Bucs end up in the playoffs then you have to give him and his staff at least another year.
