Bucs Are Light On Injuries

December 20th, 2023

It’s a rather healthy Bucs team for Week 16.

The first injury report of the week was issued this afternoon and it’s filled with good news.

Carlton Davis, who did not play Sunday in Green Bay, was full-go with his healing groin. Ryan Neal was a no-go Sunday (back) and returned at full strength today. Vita Vea (toe) and Chris Godwin (knee) were limited in practice, but those are not new injuries. Devin White, as Joe wrote earlier, was full-go on his bad foot.

Those are the only banged up starters (assuming White is still a starter).

Light on injuries toward the end of season.

    First place in division.

Team is playing better than it has all season, including Mayfield.

    Are the stars aligning?

If he brings us a superbowl, Bowles gets 2 more years in my book. Just because I’ll be to full on Crow to complain.

  4. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

If we get a ring with him. New nickname becomes Superbowles.

  5. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

If we beat Jags.. I’m all in on Bowles. This year.

What’s the latest on Trevor Lawrence? Is it even possible to get through the concussion protocol in a week and be ready to play? Most players I have seen take two weeks or more?

  10. Darin Says:

People are more confident with bowles this week go figure lol. He will give you reason again soon enough to jump off.

  11. Marine Buc Says:

The Tampa Bay Bucs are healthy.

    In other news:

Pigs have been spotted flying over MacDill Airforce Base.

    NOT INJURY RELATED:

Just got sooooo tired of the local/national media suits jumping all over Mayfield for his horrible fumbles and discovered that he’s actually LOW ON THE LIST … tied with 6 other QBs with 8 fumbles (only 3 lost). So stop making it seem like he’s the worst fumbler in the league because it’s laughable and BS!

    Here’s the list:
    Dobbs – 14 fumbles
    Tua – 12
    Jackson – 11
    Zach Wilson – 11
    Ridder – 11
    Lawrence – 10
    Fields – 9
    Young – 9
    Russell Wilson – 8
    Mayfield – 8
    Minishew – 8
    Love – 8
    Hurts – 8
    Stroud – 8

  13. Conner50 Says:

Keep Neal completely out of the game Sunday, and if white plays just make him rush the qb nothing else.

  14. Jmarkbuc Says:

Somebody kick Carlton Hargreaves in the groin tomorrow..

Look…Everybody is nicked at this point in the season!
Injury reports from One Buc have been… less than accurate…so to speak.
Soo…Bucs fans make up your own minds about who is “injured” or not.

    Go Bucs!

  18. garro Says:

Heard the water boy stubbed his toe…

    Go Bucs!

  19. orlbucfan Says:

What’s the protocol with Lawrence? He might be the opposition, but concussions are no joke. So, Joe, you mean to tell me half the Bucs aren’t on IR? Amazing. All the teams are banged up this time of year. Comes with the territory. Like the Ungodly CG14 pic, too. He’s 100%, and THAT is scary. 🙂 Go Bucs Xmas Eve!

To answer this question, Pat Kirwan on SXM about a week ago told Jim Miller that only 22% of players don’t miss a game after concussion protocol. So the odds are high a player misses at least one game.
